    Hi all

I get this error with a new computer at startup.  I have not the least of which may be the cause of it.  Please notify.

    Error box
    RunDLL

    Error message:
There was a problem starting C:\Program
The specified module could not be found.

I have solved my problem.  This was caused by an outdated piece and integrated by Lenovo - Lenovo Power Manager software.  I've updated to the latest version, restarted, and the question is more persistent.  It has been resolved.

  • HP Officejet Pro 6830: there was a problem starting C:\Program Files\HP\Officejets AM\bin\States.dll

WIndows 10 appears the following start-up error message

    There was a problem starting C:\Program Files\HP\HPOfficejetPro8600 A910\bin\HPStatusBL.dll

I no longer the 8600 and uninstalled all the software of 8600, it is no longer present in the devices and printers.

My new printer works fine, just do this nnoying message whenever I start.

I am confused why this would not appear in Task Manager startup programs if it opens at startup. Let's try another method of attack:

    1. press on the Windows key + R to open the Run dialog box.

    2. in the field open, type %AppData% , and then press enter.

    3. go to Microsoft > Windows > Start Menu > programs > Startup.

    4. look for anything that has to do with "ink monitor alert" and delete it.

  • 6520: problem starting c:\Program HP HP Photosmart 6520 series\bin\HPStatusBL.dll

I uninstalled the HP 6520; didn't uninstall errors. [do not remember if I uninstalled with a 6520 uninstall exe or if I did it with Windows 10 uninstall programs.]  Now, every time I start my PC, I get an Error Message window indicating "there was a problem starting c:\Program HP HP Photosmart 6520 series\bin\HPStatusBL.dll the specified module could not be found."

I have a Photosmart C7250 which is attached to my router via LAN as a network printer and works as it should.

I would like to get rid of the Photosmart missing dll error, but, not at the expense of ruining the c7250.

The 6520 file is missing, the 6520 has been correctly removed from devices and printers.  Why my PC is still trying to load a dll missing at startup after that the 6520 6520 was supposed to be uninstalled?

How can I fix the error starting 6520 without spoiling the C7250?

    Hi @PineSap,

Welcome to the Forums of HP Support! I see from your HP Officejet 6520 uninstalling you now this error message ' there was a problem starting C:\program HP HP Deskjet 1510 series\bin\HPStatusBL.dll .

" The specified module could not be found ' at startup.

After some research, I was able to find this solution on Forums, see below:

For Windows 10 publication RunDLL error (HPStatusBL.dll) check this site:

(Activate prior the hidden files and folders)

    C:\Users\(your user name) \AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Startup

(Maybe depending on who has installed the software, see other users if you do not do so in your profile)

Remove the shortcut that HP does not decently cleanup during uninstall:
