Error when I start my desktop computer

Dear Sir.

I get this error when I start my desktop PC, please help me solve this. Thank you, Francis Santos

You have a CD/DVD inserted in your computer? The system tries to boot from that.

In addition, you may need to change the boot options to change the order of boot to HARD disk first.

Did you ever open BIOS options.

Help! It started to happen last week and I don't know what to do. Whenever I start my desktop computer, he goes to the back and informed me that my CMOS settings are false. How should I address this!

    original title: CMOS setting

It mahy be as simple as needing a new CMOS battery.  If you are not under warranty and have a counter top it is usually fairly easy to replace (google your computer for more information).

If that doesn't fix it, you may need to reset by removing the battery, unplug the power, remove the dough (if any) and now the power button is for one minute.

    Hi Csiew42,

Thank you for visiting Microsoft Answers.

    ·         Which version of Windows Vista is installed on your computer?
    ·         Remember to make changes to the computer recently?
    ·         Who is the manufacturer of your computer?

I suggest to perform the clean boot and check if you get the error again. Clean boot will start Windows Vista by using a minimal set of drivers and startup programs. This type of boot is known as a "clean boot". A clean boot helps eliminate software conflicts.

The following link has steps showing how to perform the clean boot: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/929135

    (1) perform the clean boot (check the link to perform the clean boot).

    (2) enable half the services.

    (3) determine if the problem comes back.

    (4) enable half of the startup items.

    (5) determine if the problem comes back.

    (6) repeat the steps above until you discover which program or service is causing the problem.

After you determine the startup item or the service that is causing the problem, contact the manufacturer of the program to determine if the problem can be solved. Or, run the System Configuration utility, and then click to clear the check box of the element of the problem.

Note: Please make sure that the computer is configured to start as usual according to step 7 of the article: how to troubleshoot a problem by performing a clean boot in Windows Vista or in Windows 7: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/929135

Hope the helps of information. Please post back and we do know.

    Kind regards

  • 'Bad Machine' error when I start the recovery on Satellite L10 media

    Hello...

I have a Toshiba Satellite L10-103 and I want to make the recovery, since I have constant errors and my wireless does not work.

When I put on CD, everything is ok, I press F12 and get the choice when I want to access computer. I select the CD/DVD drive. That produces the recovery starts and I get this error message:

"Wrong Machine! This software is designed for personal computers TOSHIBA '

    What's wrong with it?

    Hello

Are you sure that the recovery CD you are using is designed for Satellite L10 - 103 to 110%?
    Please check this!

But if you use the same recovery CD that came with the laptop, and you still get the same error message, then the false DMI information that is stored on the motherboard might be responsible for this error message and might prevent to recover.

This can occur if the motherboard has been replaced and that the technician has not updated the DMI string.

I ran fixmbr too, but you don't need to contact your manufacturer for assistance.

It is extremely unlikely that any computer purchased at a store bought on this planet will have installed XP Recovery Console.

It is extremely unlikely that any computer purchased at a store bought on this planet will be accompanied by a genuine XP installation CD bootable that can be used to start the XP Recovery Console.

It's extremely likely that any manufacturer on this planet will send you an installation CD XP genuine for you can start in the Recovery Console.

It is extremely likely that the majority of the posters on the forums is not any type of bootable XP media.

It is extremely likely that the majority of the posters on the forums have never actually seen, possessed or otherwise come into contact with an XP bootable installation CD authentic in their lives, or if they already had in their possession, it is now nowhere to be found.

I wonder why never support engineers offer this idea for the Recovery Console.

    (a) they do not know how
    (b) they are not allowed to post anything that isn't in a KB article
    (c) they are not allowed to post links to any place outside of Microsoft
    (d) your idea here

You can make a bootable CD of XP (no XP media required) Recovery Console.

If you have no XP bootable media (or aren't sure you have) create a bootable XP Recovery CD of Console and do not forget.

This is not the same as recovery disks that might have come with the acquisition of the system store.

You can make a bootable Recovery Console CD by downloading an ISO file and burn it to a CD.

The ISO bootable image file you need to download is called:

    xp_rec_con. ISO

    Download the ISO from here:

    http://www.mediafire.com/?ueyyzfymmig

Use a new CD and this simple and free program to burn your ISO file and create your bootable CD:

    http://www.ImgBurn.com/

Here are some instructions for ImgBurn:

    http://Forum.ImgBurn.com/index.php?showtopic=61

It would be a good idea to test your bootable CD on a computer running.

You may need to adjust the computer BIOS settings to use the CD-ROM drive as the first device to boot instead of the hard drive.  These adjustments are made before Windows tries to load.  If you miss it, you will need to restart the system again.

When you start on the CD, follow the instructions:

Press any key to boot from CD...

    Installing Windows... going to pronounce.

Press 'R' to enter the Recovery Console.

Select the installation that you want to access (usually 1: C:\WINDOWS)

You may be asked to enter the password (usually empty).

You should be in the folder C:\WINDOWS.  It's the same as the

C:\Windows folder that you see in Solution Explorer.

The Recovery Console allows base as file commands: copy, rename, replace, delete, chkdsk, fixboot, fixmbr, cd, etc.

For a list of the commands in the Recovery Console, type help at the prompt of commands or read on here XP Recovery Console:

  • AppData/Roaming/wushep.dll - I get this error at the start of my computer. What is a wushep.dll that the computer says that I'm missing?

When the computer starts, he says that the C drive is missing a wushep.dll.  Where can I get a wushep.dll?  There is no virus on the computer and all the programs run normally.

    Hello

Welcome to the Microsoft Community Forum.
It appears from the description, you get code error message "wushep.dll" when you start the computer.
To better understand the question, answer the questions below.
    1. Exactly when you receive this error message?
    2. Are you able to start on the computer?
    3. You did changes to the computer before the show?
For now, you can try the troubleshooting provided steps and check if that helps resolve the issue.
    Method 1:
    Step 1:
    Safe mode
Safe mode starts Windows with a limited set of files and drivers. Startup programs do not work in safe mode, and only the basic drivers needed for OSB are installed
For more information about Safe Mode, see the link:
Start your computer in safe mode
    Step 2:
    Clean boot
To help resolve the error and other messages, you can start Windows Vista, Windows 7 or Windows 8 by using a minimal set of drivers and startup programs. This type of boot is known as a "clean boot". A clean boot helps eliminate software conflicts.
How to perform a clean boot for a problem in Windows Vista, Windows 7 or Windows 8
    Note:

Check the step 3 in the article to start the computer in normal mode.

    Method 2:
    SFC scan
If a Protection of resources Windows (WRP) file is missing or is damaged, Windows may not behave as expected. For example, some Windows functions may not work, or Windows may crash. The tool (SFC.exe) System File Checker scans missing or system corrupted files and repairs them.
For more information on how to perform the Scan SFC in Windows 7, see the link:
Use the System File Checker tool to troubleshoot missing or corrupted on Windows Vista or Windows 7 system files
I hope that using information provided!
