error while configuring HA on ESX 4.0
Hello
I have a setup of test for vSphere 4. The omes of following error message when you configure the HA agent
"Cannot complete the configuration of the HA agent on host computer. See the details of the task for more information. Misconfiguration of the installation of the host network. »
The vCenter has been upgrade to 2.5 u3 vCenter 4.
All entries in the host file has been verified. Servers can mutually, the vcenter ping and vice versa.
There is no set of entry door so it took the default gateway. but it does not ping. and I got the same error.
Pls suggest.
Kind regards
Pratima
can I give any address as the address of insulation?
Yes, need only to pings.
Well, I think only gateway is used for this.
If you have Yes, if you do not set and you have only 2 host, you must provide another "ping".

error while configuring nfs for unix or openfiler
Hello
I need NFS help set up for the test esx host. I use openfiler nfs and windows to UNIX servers to install the nfs server, but without success. I have the following errors. Error in the configuration of the host: NFS error: unable to mount filesystem: unable to connect to NFS server Note: I need to configure something special on the esx service console host? I have already installed nfs components and mounts.
Audits:
I can ping my server nfs, listening on port 2049, enable the firewall client nfs on esx host
Anyone know where the steps by steps to implement nfs or openfiler for nfs work of a to z.
Thank you for helping
You should check your settings of double and proceed again, enable NFSv3 with ESX 3.x is very simple. To install NFS using Windows Services for UNIX, follow these steps:
On NFS Windows 2003 Server:
1. download the component on microsoft.com
2 copy the/etc/passwd and/etc/Group password of ESX 3.x folder c:\etc\ windows host.
3. install on your windows 2003 server and choose the "custom" option and choose "User mapping Service" and point the to these 2 files in c:\etc\
4. use Windows to Unix admin console add 'administrator' and 'root' and click 'apply '.
5 create a share as 'd:\data\sharefolder' and click on the tab 'NFS Sharing' and pass 'read/write' option and allow root access.
On ESX 3.5 hosts:
1 turn on the firewall for the NFS client settings
2 chkconfig nfs and portmap autostart level 235 as mentioned
3. create the network porgroups as (SC, VMotion, Production, Test, iSCSI, NFS) make sure you use different subnet for NFS/iSCSI traffic.
4. you can customize your files /etc/hosts.allow and /etc/hosts.deny to hold account access restrictions. for example (rw, async, no squash root)
5 restart your NFS daemon.
Notes:
Allows you to add storage wizard NFS Client VI-> the server name or IP address (this is your nfs server) and (mount point) such as /sharefolder and give him a "(NFS LUN01) label something like that."
Check your ID, permissions, and settings, and ping them test information.
Nothing else I can think of at this point if its does not work. Everyone is welcome to jump in.
Best luck!

Adapter error while configuration DB in Server Admin
Hi all
I can't configure the DB adapter settings in the Console.
DBAdapter-> Configuration-> outbound connections-> Pools
There was an error reading the file descriptor.
Errors occurred during the initialization of a new deployment plan.
[SPI: 260080 deployment J2EE] Cannot set the "C:\Oracle\Middleware\Oracle_SOA1\soa\connectors" application installation directory Directory could not be created or a file.Hello
The message is clear enough, either you do not have the directory or the user from weblogic isn't able to is read/write.
If you do not have the dir, you probably have an installation problem.
If it points to the wrong place, you can try and fix it by editing the config.xml file.
If none of the above are true, check if the user from weblogic has permissions to write to this directory.
See you soon,.

Error while configuring in DAC
Hi friends,
IM now trying to import metadata into the repository of CAD...
To do this, I started to configure DAC, after that I pressed the "CONNECT" button is to show the following error
Cannot authenticate the user
For this reason it is not allowing me to go inside for the import of metadata...
Help me friends,
Thank you
Izz all well
GTA...Hello
The name of the connection that you created in the Workflow Manager must be identical to the value you passed in the value of the CAD parameter.
To find the value of connection in workflow manager goto connections > relational. Here you will find the name of the connection, and this value must be the same value of the CAD parameter
Thank you

ORA-900 sql not valid reporting error while calling the optimize_index pl/sql procedure
Hi Experts,I'm on Oracle 11.2.0.3 on Linux and I have installed in my database Oracle text. I want to configure annex dbms_job to optimize my oracle text index. So first, I created a pl/sql procedure to optimize indexes. It gives me error ORA-900, but the sql even if I run in sqlplus works very well! Can you please help me the question is to find:
Here is the procedure:
(Either incidentally CTXAPP role has been granted in the schema where these Oracle text indexes are created and where the below procedure to optimize the index is running.)
CREATE OR REPLACE PROCEDURE optimize_ora_txt_indexes_debug IS CURSOR cur_context_indexes IS SELECT index_name FROM user_indexes WHERE index_type = 'DOMAIN' AND ROWNUM<2 ORDER BY INDEX_NAME; v_user VARCHAR2 (30); v_pod VARCHAR2 (30); v_start_time TIMESTAMP; v_end_time TIMESTAMP; v_elapsed VARCHAR2 (40); v_msg VARCHAR2 (1000); v_error_code NUMBER; v_error_msg VARCHAR2 (1000); v_sql VARCHAR2 (1000); BEGIN FOR c IN cur_context_indexes LOOP BEGIN v_sql:= 'ctx_ddl.optimize_index (idx_name =>'||chr(39)|| c.index_name||chr(39)||', optlevel => '||chr(39)||'FULL'||chr(39)||')'; dbms_output.put_line(v_sql); execute immediate v_sql; EXCEPTION WHEN OTHERS THEN v_error_code := SQLCODE; v_error_msg := SQLERRM; v_msg := 'Error while optimizing the index ' || c.index_name || ' ' || TO_CHAR (v_error_code) || ' ' || v_error_msg; DBMS_OUTPUT.put_line (v_msg); END; END LOOP; EXCEPTION WHEN OTHERS THEN v_error_code := SQLCODE; v_error_msg := SQLERRM; v_msg := 'Error while in the optimize index procedure' || ' ' || TO_CHAR (v_error_code) || ' ' || v_error_msg; DBMS_OUTPUT.put_line (v_msg); END optimize_ora_txt_indexes_debug; / --the procedure compiles successfully. Now when I run it , I get the error: SQL>exec optimize_ora_txt_indexes_debug; ctx_ddl.optimize_index (idx_name =>'ACCESS_CLNT_IDX04', optlevel => 'FULL') Error while optimizing the index ACCESS_CLNT_IDX04 -900 ORA-00900: invalid SQL statement --When I run the same command from sqlplus as execute statement , it works fine: SQL>exec ctx_ddl.optimize_index (idx_name =>'ACCESS_CLNT_IDX04', optlevel => 'FULL'); PL/SQL procedure successfully completed.
If everything runs from sqlplus, but fails in plsql... I'll be very grateful for pointers solve the problem.
Thanks,
OrauserN
Hello
It is a problem of pl/sql syntax. A call with EXEC is the same using BEGIN... Code of... END of block;
SO, you need to include a beginning and an end to your call:
v_sql:= 'BEGIN ctx_ddl.optimize_index (idx_name =>'||chr(39)|| c.index_name||chr(39)||', optlevel => '||chr(39)||'FULL'||chr(39)||'); END;';
That's all.

"There was an error while trying to delete the snapshot"
I am running VMware Fusion on a 10.5.7 and when I try to delete the old clichés I get this error
"There was an error while trying to delete the snapshot

It's the performance of FreeBSD. The server has no harm actually run but gets big enough and I would like to clean it up a bit. Any suggestions?
Thank you very much

Firstly it goes without saying, but I'll say it anyway... Always back up all of the Virtual Machine with the Virtual Machine within the OS, not suspended, and Fusion to stop closed before trying to make repairs on a virtual hard disk.
This may not work if it's the basic disk that needs to be repaired and the Virtual Machine has snapshots, but I go through it. You can try to use "/ Library/Application Support/VMware Fusion/vmware-vdiskmanager ' with the '-r' option. Note: If the basic disk do not while snapshots are at stake, because it will cause more problems so my suggestion is first try to create a new basic without snapshots disk using the information below (see another option).
Also one of the reasons to delete a snapshot may fail if there is no adequate free disk space for the operation ends so make sure you have a lot of free disk space.
Another option would be to create a new basic disk, and then use dd by using an Image of CD/DVD/ISO Linux Live in the image of the old drive so written delta in snapshots to a new basic disk.
I like to use the ISO Image of KNOPPIX_V5.1.1CD - 2007-01-04 - IN .iso to start the Virtual Machine and use dd to leave because it works well with VMware SCSI virtual hard disks.
Also in Fusion 2.x, configuration the target Virtual Machine's .vmx file must be changed manually to have the present following parameters when using Knoppix.
usb:0.deviceType = "mouse" usb:0.present = "FALSE" mouse.vusb.enable = "FALSE"
Note: The first two parameters may already exist but if the other exists and is set to true, then set it to FALSE and the third are probably already so just add it.

In access to AOL e-mail via the full version, I can navigate my account (old messages, new messages, spam, etc.) very well, but when I try to open an individual email, I get this error message: "there was an error while loading the message. Please try again later. »
This is identical to a problem someone else was described in another thread... Unfortunately, nothing suggested you him seemed to work. I have BEEN cheated at the opening of a file attached to an e-mail immediately before this started, so I think it's a virus or something. IN ANY CASE... I AM able to open the messages when I use the basic version of AOL. Initially, the problem seemed to be in Firefox, but I tried with Internet Explorer now also and it's the same thing, and the basic version is accessible while the full version is still blocked.
On both browsers, after the error message, I can't even click on individual posts to TRY to open another, and there are a few not-very-right boxes and the x and the things that appear on the screen that do not belong.
Please tell me that you can not do that, go away... I tried uninstalling and reinstalling... Firefox who did not. I also enjoy McAffee, and that has not changed anything.

Equium P300-16 t - system error writing Configuration data
Salvation message for the first time
I have a Toshiba Equium P300-16 t and it has developed an error starting on the screen, it says
System error writing Configuration data
F1 - F2 CV - Bios settingsWhen it appears that I can't get the option of recovery for work the bios settings seem to be completely in-accessible.
This error appears just under the version number of the bios and the specifications of the RAM, just after the toshiba screen. The laptop is also a beep which I think is its length bios error code just two beeps very loud and even with a very short break inbetween
On the page that appears after F1 (curriculum vitae) is pressed it shows just an another two options that are
F2 - Setup F12 Multiboot Menu selectionNone of these options no matter what and the system is just idle on this screen.
Obviously, without the bios menu there is not much I can do
Really research help solve this problem as im not very clued up on the configurations of the system
Oh and incase it allows... BIOS version - PhoenixBIOS 4.0 release 6.1
Thanks in advance
KrisHi mate
It would be interesting to know if the HARD drive is listed in the BIOS.
Could you if you please check this?
In the BIOS, you should see the HARD drive and HARD drive details
If it is not visible, then that would mean that the HARD drive is faulty and therefore the operating system cannot be started. In this case, the HARD disk needs to be changed.

Why I get this error message: error while trying to synchronize audio and midi?
I just updated Logic Pro and all of a sudden my lexicon alpha interface does not work correctly. I get this error message: error while trying to synchronize audio and midi. Check for conflicts between Logic Pro and the external device. Help
Start by making sure that the project in logic settings are set correctly - I think that the lexicon only supports 44.1 or 48.
If it is software used to Setup place the lexicon make sure you that the sampling frequency is set to the same logic.
Sometimes that power and the lexicon solves the problem...
If none of the help above - make sure you use a multi-out or comprehensive audio device (OS X)
