  I am new to the Installation of Oracle RAC. I try to install Oracle RAC on vmware 11R2.  I checked all prerequisites so far and I'm sure I went through all the components mentioned in the documents of the Oracle. • Errors in Oracle 11g R2 grid infrastructure Installation

  I went through the steps to install Oracle 11 g R2 on RHEL 5.2 (32-bit) Infrastructure in a couple of Vmware machines.
  
  -As I pressed the Vmwaretool for the time synchronization, I didn't configure NPS.
  -As I do not have a DNS server, I configured the scan-cars in/etc/hosts.
  I know in production, it won't, but this test env is Ok (according to http://www.oracle-base.com/articles/11g/OracleDB11gR2RACInstallationOnOEL5UsingVMwareServer2.php)
  
  All the configurations went well and the YES continued successfully up to the

  I got "Error no." in the newspaper which seemed to have indicated that the signal/slot was triggerred properly in my case.

  Question for you:

  How did you create your object "MyNetwork"?

  is the object still alive when the network request signal is triggerred?

  Maybe the code for create/destorying your object "MyNetwork" segment will be useful

• where is 11.2.0.2 grid infrastructure software

  I tried to upgrade s/w of database Oracle 11.2.0.1 to 11.2.0.2. However, I got an error message indicating that my grid infrastructure software was the 11.2.0.1 and he had to be upgraded to 11.2.0.2
  
  Can someone tell me where I can find this software, it is not distributed in the 11.2.0.2 patch group and I could not find in My Oracle Support because there is no obvious link to its location?

  Using RAW could be the problem. I'm not sure someone who has used Virtual Box with raw disks for their RAC testbed. Most people use ASM. I've seen a few people use NFS as well. You'll also want to stay away raw because that which is frowned upon in 11.2. See http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E11882_01/install.112/e41962/whatsnew.htm#RILIN931

  Under the Options deprecated for Oracle RAC 11 g Release 2:

  "Installation of files on raw devices is no longer an option available during installation. You must use a shared file system, or using Oracle Automatic Storage Management. »

  Has anyone seen this error for the grid Infrastructure 12.1.0.2 - 'OPatch failed with the error code 15 '?  This is a new installation of GI and I was running through the preliminary controls patch before the House with the last power supply.  The error was received when the inventory of IM was being validated.  I searched Google and MOS and empty.

  Any help would be appreciated!

  Although MOS never come back with me, I could find a section for this question.  OPatch failed with the error code 15 in 12 (Doc ID 1964569.1)

I'm sure I followed the installation instructions, but I can't get rid of the following error that occurs while I run the root.sh script. on the first node.

  Thanks for your time.

  I commented the line on which the IP 127.0.0.1 is shown in/etc/hosts on all nodes.

  file/etc/hosts is same nodes.when I do a ping to the public ip address, it is show the IP local hots i'e 127.0.0.1 not the real that I craved in the file/etc/hosts.

  After that I comment that line of hole and he ping is resolved.

• Error while executing script root.sh on the nodes at the RAC 11 g installation

  Here, I face an error while I run the root.sh script. During the installation of grid RAC, he asked a few dependencies of prereq. There are several .rpm files that were the prerequisites for this installation. I ignore them and I continued the installation. Now, he finally threw an error when running root.sh script. • Problem of decommissioning of 11204 11203 grid Infrastructure

  Hi gurus,

  I have a 2 RAC running on CentOS 64 bit 5.911203 node. In order to update to 11204, first I upgraded GI to 11204, and now I am trying to downgrade the back, just to have a restoration plan in place, before also moving the DB. My downgrade did not ($OLD_GRID_HOME/bin/crsctl start crs does nothing), so I'll try again because I think that I made a mistake when executing $NEW_GRID_HOME/crs/install/rootcrs.pl (I had executed it without the lastnode - on both nodes, and then I ran again in the node of the OCR) (, this time using the parameter - lastnode).

  Everything is fine when I am running on node 2 (node no - OCR):

  But when I run it on node 1, in aid of lastnode (because that is the crux of the OCR), I get an error:

  Unfortunately, this error will return no results in google or MOS! ("Invalid... "), and this file (crsconfig_lib.pm) does not seem to help too, because in this line, I see only this:

  Its at this point, I normally abandon on the downgrade and then completely remove GI and start from a new installation of the lower version. If you need information on the withdrawal of the GI, let me know.

• ORA-12547 TNS LOST during the 12 c dbca on grid infrastructure.

  Hi all

  In my test environment, I installed the 12.1.0.1 9 VMware and REDHAT 6.4grid infrastructure. After a successful installation of the grid infrastructure and database binary when I try to create the database with dbca, show me ORA-12547 TNS LOST.

  Installation is 2 node grid infrastucture ASM on shared disk. Using binary grid and oracle grid and database users respectively.

  I searched forum and METALINK also, I got a part the documents below.

  1. doc ID 1069517.1 : it says to check the permissions on the files binary oracle as below. I thought it was ok.

  2 many docs suggested to check libaio-*. rpm. I found that libaio x86_64 RPM is installed but libaio i686 rpms were missing. I installed them also.

  OK I solved the problem. The error I was getting is misleading.

  I did two things:

  1. for the root user: "export PATH=$PATH:/u01/app/11.2.0.3/grid/OPatch".

  2. thanks to the solution provided by 'Papp Balázs' in the post:

  confuse OPatch error PSU 13919095 (July 2012)

  I removed the location correct patch and re-issued the command like this:
