  I accidentally posted this in the wrong fourms before, so I'm reposting here and crossing my fingers.

  I was scrolling pages and pages pf interwebs all day and my eyes is to look for bleeding :(

  When I try to install the updates, I always get this error "WindowsUpdate_80070643."
  Basically, when I type the shortcut in the start menu to use Windows Update it asks to update the update. It shows not all past installs or updates, although I know at some point it was working properly. When I click on the button update Update window closes and then comes back and says that there is an error.
  "Windows Update has encountered and unknown error" and the number above, 80070643.
  I searched high and low and tried the suggested fixes, including rename them the SoftwareDsitribution file to .old and try this way. That didn't work so I returned the file naming.

  I tried to uninstall my .net frameworks, I used the cleanup utility, I reinstalled back and forth and still nothing.
  I tried to collect the newspapers, but I can't find where they are registered. I tried to update the update with the stand-alone Installer, still nothing. I am really at my wits end here.

  Basically what happened is that the pc of my father was not updated, he always says it was like 30 or so important updates, but they have never been kept up-to-date. Well Finally, I had to do some work on PC of my mother and found the Vundo bug crushed it and then thought that I might as well check my dads. Installed Malwarebytes and it was there. I killed in safemode and thought everything would be fine. Pop on safe mode to go forward with updates and now always get this error, it is as if the update is looking for the update for herself, but is not find or don't want.

  Now, I see that both 1.1 and and 3.5 sp1 are installed, though, I'm sure that I also installed 1.1 sp1 too, but it does not show as such in the program uninstall area.

  But to see this TL:DR

  I ran FIXIT for .net Frameworks
  I ran the cleaner .net
  I have reinstalled all the versions of .net 1.1 - 1.1.sp1 - 3.5sp1
  I have a bald spot on my head now.

  If your father has allowed for the free trial of Norton expires and/or has not installed an anti-virus of replacement application, follow these steps: [1]:

  From early August I tried to download the latest security for my PC Windows Vista updtae.  I receive the error message listed above and am not sure if I can use the cleaning tool Framwork that I saw mentioned on the net as it addresses than this EPI 2 is built into Vista.  I'm not an expert user, so I'm unusre need my lines of conduct are (other than the purchase of a Windows 7 upgrade0

  After running the cleanup tool of .NET Framework (not the Windows Installer Cleanup utility!), reinstall all the versions of the .NET Framework (but the ones you noted in #1 above) manually using the download links on the page, and then run Windows Update manually install security updates for same.

  NB: If you remove the .NET Framework 3.5 (SP1) by using the tool, reinstall .NET Framework 3.5 will also install .net Framework 2.0 SP2 and 3.0 SP2. Then, Windows Update will offer .NET Framework 3.5 SP1.

  Windows update is not able to install the update of security for Microsoft Office Powerpoint 2007. I tried the fixes suggested, (ie: OSE, auto departure delayed) for the mentioned error and I am not having a chance.  I'm not comfortable with the advanced suggestions. I'd appreciate any help.

  I'm sorry Andrea but to help you properly we (of me) will need a lot more information than that, as long as it is impossible to know to what troubleshooting steps you were when you clicked on the link provided in the window "get help with this error" which opened after the symbol of the Red Cross error in your Windows update history.

  You know the error code 80070643 x 0 or simply 0 x 643 that appears when you use the Microsoft/Windows Update system, is a "too generic error code" that basically States that an error was encountered by Windows Installer during the process, resulting in one unsuccessful or incomplete installation of an update (or updates may be provided).

  It can happen for several reasons. The most common cause is a problem because of the corruption of system files on your computer.

  As WU does not automatically generate a full install Journal, we can't determine which is the real problem and so the resolution of this issue.

  As you mentioned in your original post that you were not comfortable with those advanced suggestions, if I were you and before I continue, I would first try to download and install the update manually here:

  I use Office 2003 on my new Machine of Windows 7 and when I try to download 3 updates I get this error message. "WindowsUpdate_80070643" "WindowsUpdate_dt000"three updates are updated Office 2003. " I found a site that suggested the OSE Ofiice. Exe may be corrupted and need to be replaced form CD. I tried this but Win won't let me copy or paste the new file. Says I need administrator privileges to do this. I AM the administrator. Tried several microsoft suggested. so love my new machine and Win7 so far! Except f0r this hiccup. Help, please! My not be a big problem, but I'm a freak when it comes to everything working properly.

  Try to get itunes working to make a backup of my faulty iphone before repair.

  First-itunes does not start says error. I'm trying to fix it, who said success but same error when you try to start it.

  Then uninstall completely worked. Then reinstall that seemed to be over except for a message "an older version of Apple software update already exists" then he went down and install itunes apparently had not been completed.

  Then I try to remove the update from the apple software and executed by an error in the installation program - it says there is an error in the installation and contact the supplier of the installation package. Same error if I run the uninstall command line program.

  Try to repair the Apple Software Update of programs & features Control Panel and then try to update iTunes again.

  Hi, I searched some forums and found this script below which I modified. It works great except for a single statement:

  runScript If = 1 then number error -128 I want the script to do is, when a USB drive is mounted and is in the ignoredVolumes as "USB Untitled" I want the script to stop. What I can't understand is, runScript is set to 1, "Untitled USB" Monte, runScript is not changed, why don't the script stops with an error "user cancelled"? On the other hand, if a key USB Monte is not in the ignoredVolumes, runScript is set to 2 and copy the file I want it. What hurts? It's probably something that will be very obvious when I see the answer.

  I had a problem with the rotation of the screen under macOS Sierra function. As the screen rotates, there is an error that pop up and later that I'm unable to get into system-> Display Preferences. It is for me a "mistake preferably: County not load display preferences" message and I was unable to rotate the screen back. I started from the system in safe mode and temporarily solved the problem. But if I want to rotate the screen again, it pops up the same error again. I was using the rotation function pretty well in OS X El Capitan. But since I updated to macOS Sierra, I had this problem.

  I wanted to know if there is a lasting solution to this problem.

  I'm using macOS Sierra on MacBook (13-inch, early 2015) Air with processor 1.6 Ghz Intel Core i5 and 8 GB memory DDR3 at 1600 MHz with 128 GB of storage.

  Great job to test mode without failure. In Safe Mode disables most of the third-party services, it could be a compatibility problem with an application that you have. Check out this article:

  You can not hold account that the title suggests it's to El Capitan. It applies to macOS Sierra as well.

  You can also test the issue in a new user account.

  I found the solution. Just type here for others with the same problem to solve their problems.

  While the "iTunes with cable" sign is showing and in your computer, showing you "Waiting for iPhone" and things occur, you should restart your iPhone (hold sleep/wake low and low home together for a few seconds) implemented after this attempt to restore your iPhone again you should recover your iPhone software.

  I recently bought an iPad Mini 2 specifically so that I could use the app to playgrounds to learn about Swift.  Whenever I try to download the playing field 'Learn to Code 1 - basics of the swift' I get an error that says: "not taken download error supported URL.  I uninstalled and reinstalled the soft playgrounds several times.  Other playgrounds (as 'learning to Code 2 - beyond the basics') download very well.  How can I bypass or fix this error and get the first playground of lesson?

  I can not access my old video files of my 6 16 GB iPhone, I'm using iOS 10.  When I try to open the videos that I always meet the message 'area main-fetching error' I can't specify when this problem started, but I'm sure it was good when I was with iOS 9.3.3 However, recently filmed videos works perfectly.
