  I can't have the built-in webcam to work on my brand new G40 - 108 with Windows Live Messenger. I get the following message appears when you try to set up "audio and video setting" the Herald: "Windows cannot connect to this webcam. Close any program that may be using this webcam and restart the wizard."

  He connected with technical support from Toshiba, which were also unable to solve the problem. We have tried to disable both webcam at startup apps. If both executed at startup, the chicony software does not work.

  Does anyone else have this problem? I'll update this post if I get a resolution on their part.

  Yes I have a solution.
  Remove the old software and the driver for the system.
  Go to the Toshiba European page and download the latest software for a chicony and the driver.
  Then install on the laptop and enjoy.

  Notes; Restart the laptop everytime after reinstalling the driver.

  Please help me solve the problem Windows Live Messenger sign. I tried some methods I got from forums or the internets, I couldn't have signed it ot it. I don't know if it's the blocked server connect to Windows Live Messenger. He said "signed on Windows Live Messenger failed because the service is temporarily unavailable, please try again later."  However, this had been the last for several days already. Could someone help me solve the problem.

  My Acer Aspire 5536 laptop with built in Crystal Eye webcam does not work on Windows Live Messenger.  Open the application of webcam Crystal Eye went very well, taking pictures is fine, until I want to use it in a conversation on Messenger.  Is there something I can do?

  Sorry if this is in the wrong place. Ive had this problem for a few months now. UST now tired of him.
  When I download live windows install, it runs and told me that live messenger is installed, however it is not installed.
  However, I have the program listed under all programs in 32-bit vista. When I run it, I get an error message saying that the program is not installed.
  However, when I download the installer, it shows that the program is already installed.

  "Windows Live Messenger has stopped working" Message appears when I try to sign in my e-mail to check my e-mail messages. Whats up with that? I have to go through my hotmail to get my e-mail messages. Has anyone else had the same problem?   I recently had problems with the above programs and their connection to the internet. I did not quite understand what was going on until I tried to connect to Windows Live Messenger a day and it wouldn't let me not connect due to a problem with the proxy server and important ports... And since then, I was not able to browse the web with Internet Explorer, download Windows Live, nor access the music store online for Windows Media player. Can someone help me with this problem?

  It is important that you try some of the solutions provided Karena so that we can continue to resolve the problem.
  Here are some important steps to try I think solve the problem:

  Add-ons add functionality (for example, extra toolbars, animated, stock and pop-up blockers mouse pointers) to your web browser. While Add-ons can enhance your online experience, they can sometimes interfere or conflict with other software on your computer. Try to start Internet Explorer without Add-ons to see if the problem goes away. Here's how:

  • Click the button start , click principally made programs, accessories, click System Tools and then click Internet Explorer (No Add-ons).

  If disabling all add-ons solves the problem, you can manage add-ons to disable all add-ons and then put modules only as needed. This will allow you to figure out which add-on is causing the problem.

  Open Manage Add-ons

  1. Open Internet Explorer by clicking on the button start . In the search box, typeInternet Explorer, then, in the list of results, click on Internet Explorer.

  2. Click on tools and then click on Manage Add-ons.

  If disabling modules does not resolve the problem, try resetting Internet Explorer to its default settings. This removes all changes that have been made to Internet Explorer since it was installed, but it does not delete your Favorites or flows.

  1. Close the Windows Internet Explorer or Windows Explorer.

  2. Open Internet Explorer by clicking on the button start . In the search box, typeInternet Explorer, then, in the list of results, click on Internet Explorer.

  3. Click Tools and then click Internet Options.

  4. Click on the Advanced tab, and then click Reset.

  5. In the reset Internet Explorer settings dialog, click Reset.

  6. When you are finished, click Close, and then click OK.

  7. Close Internet Explorer and reopen it before the changes take effect.

• Microsoft Lifecam Cinema works well with windows live messenger.

  I just bought a Microsoft Lifecam Cinema, connected with my PC and installed the software 3.6. What I noticed that the quality fo the vedio going well under the lifecam software or to preview audio/vedio setting of the windows live messenger. However, the vedio quality is pretty poor, when I compose a vedio with other people using windows live messenger.

  I don't know if this is related to the operating systems or not. My operating system is XP Professional, the other part is windows 7. the version of my windows live messenger is current.

  Any advice?

  The LifeCam software requires a card video and monitor that can run a resolution of at least 800 x 600 high color. Set the resolution of Windows display on 800 x 600 high color and then test the software.
   

  Try the steps listed in the article below and check if that helps you.

  I had this problem a few times after the laptop has been without electricity and computer time / date is incorrect
