  The application we have Essbase side we can start and stop the application and the database. If an application stops and we try to connect via spreadsheet we are able to recover and lock and sends the value in the essbase
  
  request (even if the database is stopped as well). I'm trying to understand what exactly happens when the application is stopped and when it is started. Furthermore, what are the things that I shouldn't be able to access when the

  When you stop an application (or database) in essbase, it unloads the application effectively (or database) of the server's memory and literally stops him. The reason you're able to retrieve/locking/send data via Add-in spreadsheet is simply because the application (or database) is set to auto-start on the user's access. You can change these settings at the database (or application) If you do not want essbase behave this way.

  1 did you recent hardware or changes to the software of the system?

  2. are you able to boot into normal mode after receiving the error message?

  If you can boot into normal mode, you can try to perform a clean boot and see if it helps.

  A clean boot to check if startup item or services to third-party application is causing this issue.

  There are ways of diff...

  1. If you have the last backup, then you can replace total folder DB from the DB Backup folder.

  2. If you have archived backup (archive application saved with the command) and then restore this backup application.

  in above of ways you can retrieve data until the date backup took. Rest of the data we can retrieve using the Audit table... Only if the Audit is enable on the modification of the Planning application data.

  Last option is delete essbase total demand if all else fails, update from planning create enforcement action. But the application settings (hidden settings will have by default) then you need to update those if you are aware of these values)-this way, you will lose all data (hope you have all data backup, or level 0)

  usually when I see this error it means that a backup process put a lock on the file. The only way I iknow to clear, it is to restart the server (not the service, but the entire server)

  Oh... you have defined with the mechanical switch action up to published... Right click and go to mechanical Action > latch when released. Do the same for your Start button.

  You took a second to read down hold value, because your writing acquisition takes on this subject for a long time, apparently.

  This probably isn't a problem MSE or malware.  It could be a problem with the video software (which is otherwise commonly) and I have it on my system as well for my ATI graphics card.

  This just started recently - as the last day or more?  If so, try a system restore to before it started to see if that helps.   You can check if the complete startup items are checked in the msconfig utility.

  1. open System Configuration by clicking Start , clicking Control Panel, clicking system and security, clicking Administrative Tools, and then double-click the System Configuration.

  If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.

  2. click the Startup tab and check if all the items are archived there.

  You can also run a bag of security for your computer and check if this solves the problem.

  If the problem persists, turn the computer in clean boot and check if all the background program is causing this error message. To help resolve the error and other messages, you can start Windows Vista by using a minimal set of drivers and startup programs. This type of boot is known as a "clean boot".   1 log on to the computer using an account with administrator rights
