• Is it possible to migrate an application and drop one of the three types of plans?

  Migrating applications is 11.1.1.3 to 11.1.2.2.300.  Try to migrate an application and a company wants to only 2 of the 3 types of regime to be brought back.  Is there a way to do this?  Or to remove or hide the type of 11.1.2.2.300 if all 3 are migrated on?

  Here is what has been tried, but he cuased a problem in the DB:

  • Migrate an existing application that originally had 3 types of plan. Plan dropped type 1 and kept plan types 2 and 3
  • Created 2 types of plan when creating the application in 11.1.2.2
  • Initially built the contour using 11.1.1.3 LCM export dimensions and had to modify the XML to import. Edited plan 2 and made this plan type 1. Edited plan 3 and made this plan type 2. Had problems with the LCM/xml and finally finished by using the extractor contour and loading by using the outlineload utility. Dimensions are now based.
  • Initially, wrong Bishop Calc. To change the value of the hsp_systemcfg for the type of plan table = 2 instead of 3 as it was in the table.
  • Calc Mgr shows that type of plan 2 and no plan to type 1.

  Any ideas?

  Probably the best way to rebuild the application and then reload the hierarchies or hack files XML of LCM, if 11.1.2.3 then you would be able to create/delete plan types.

  Go to Options | Applications (or Options |) Advanced options | Applications). Don't you see that they are always installed? If not then if you try to reload the OS again you should be able to put check marks next to Notepad and tasks to reinstall applications

• Cannot perform the recovery of the space and another Question

  New configuration of the environment. Received this error on a VM/pool:

  Failed to perform recovery of space on machine XXXX at XXXX of pool

  Is there anywhere I can see what is actually causing this failure? I don't see this on my other pools.

  Also, if I change a pool and change the image base and instant, he return to service the current virtual machine and maintain persistent drives? I do then a recomposition?

  I deleted and recreated the pool this morning. Error seems to have resolved now. Very strange.

I understand that in creating this backup everything on the flash drive is deleted before creating backup. Can I now use this drive for other purposes, e.g., pilots and backup applications, pictures, documents, etc., or this flash drive now should he remain dedicated to the sole purpose of being a backup recovery?

  I keep as a backup to dedicated recovery flash drive and use one for drivers & applications.

  It is always wise to keep the recovery discs, as well as the recovery disks. Flash memory is quite inexpensive for the moment!

  My Intention is to automate the backup and restore by writing scripts to Windows controls.

  Backup strategy:

  With on the maintenance of the database in Archive Mode (because no update is allowed).

  1. Export data of level 0.
  2. Stop the Essbase Service, i.e., stop the Agent.
  3. Write a lot of windows Script to take backup of all Essbase artifacts as well as the data of level 0 export file and move to the Archive Folders / any other place.
  4. Articats being included .pag .ind, .esm, .tct, .ind, .otl, .lro, .otn, .db, .ddb, .sec. sec.bak, .cfg, .app, .csc .rul. Rep.
  5. Once the backup of those files completed, restart the Service Essbase
  6. End of Maintenance activity

  Concerns about the approach described above:

  The Essbase Application implemented model of cluster; That soon the OPMN service is stopped on node 1(after Max. 3 attempts), he fail-over lock NODE2 and wedges on all artifacts.   No matter what DVD driver and HP application I have ever used is not bootable.

  It should autorun from the windows desktop once windows has been reinstalled.

  Suggestion...

  Make your own installation of W7 ISO from the link below.

  Use to install W7 and do not delete all partitions or format the drive.

  Windows install and create a folder Windows.old to the current operating system.

  Then, you can copy all the files you need from the Windows.old folder after installing W7.

  Once you are sure that you have got what you need, use the recovery disk set to restore the hard drive on his out of the box state.

• How do I reinstall the old applications backed up using the backup recovery mgr software

  I fell off my machine after reloading some files of the .NET framework.  Because windows is more loaded, I used the HP recovery discs and made a backup complete both DVD and USB from my hard drive.  Then I went ahead and allow the recovery disk reformat and reload the factory system.  I went to use the recovery to re - install all applications and files, but it only copied all the stuff in a folder on my drive C:\.  IF ten to twelve apps (quicken, genealogy, adobe paintshop & pdf, MS SQL) are not loaded. It seems that my entire system sits in a file folder.  Great if I wanted to only data, but I really want to use applications without reloading everything from scratch.  I found no executable file to start such a reload. I was happy with my machine before the accident, and if I could do a simple recovery from before I installed these files, I would have done it instead of the reformat.  Alas, whatever the back backwards, I went, windows was pretty much DOA.

  I have a HP Pavilion with win7.

  Is it a lost cause?

  The HP Recovery software backup only a specific list of types of data files and the folder they reside in. No programs were backed up, and even if they were, they would not work properly. You will have to reinstall all the software that you previously installed.

  The correct syntax is the second. Take a look:

  The first syntax is bad because you can't say "to destination c1. The destination must be a path.

  The third argument is false because ' RMAN-06603: DESTINATION option must be specified with the AREA of RECOVERY, RECOVERY of FILES or DB_RECOVERY_FILE_DEST on the disk device.

• Categories, the application and configuration settings not migrate in the exported XML file

  We have exported our FDM of an environment and it application another via XML file imported. We have experienced several issues highlighted on the link below. In addition, the control of 'Catégories' table is not migrated at all and there seems to be no option to import or export step on the control panels.   You import the adapter. These tables are specific adapter and that may be your problem.

• Why finder hide Documents and office files in the home directory of the user by activating iCloud drive? What about the behavior of Time Machine backup or third-party applications?

  I'm under MacOS Sierra. I am connected to my iCloud account. I activated the option Desktop and Documents, but I did NOT activate the option optimize Mac storage, because I wanted to make sure that all my files would be available locally, just in case, I would need to work without an internet connection.

  -J' noticed there now a menu iCloud in my sidebar in the Finder, with links to Documents and desktop.

  -J' also noticed that Documents is no longer presented in my favorites in my side bar of the Finder.

  -This last suggests that files saved in 'Documents' are not saved more on my HD... but only in iCloud, which isn't what I want.

  -Then, sailing in the Finder Macintosh HD/users / 'My account' /, I noticed that my Documents and desktop folders are more visible, as if these files are not saved in my home folder most. Which raises the question: where are My Documents and files on my HD, so they are still?

  -Using a shell session in the terminal and again navigate to/Users / 'My account' /, I noticed that my Documents and desktop folders are still there. Which suggest that records and records of office reside actually still in my home folder under users, but Finder actually hide it and present them as being stored in iCloud only disc.   With office and selected Documents, access to these files are now in the iCloud Drive, not in your home folder.

  My guess would be that they do not appear in your file because it would be confusing for many people to make them in two places.

  All about iCloud drive has been saved on your Mac. With the exception of the office and the Documents, they are in ~/Library/Mobile Documents. However, if you choose optimized storage, older documents are removed from your Mac. I don't know what is "old".

  ~/Documents and ~/desktop have new metadata indicating probably Finder does not display them in a Finder window, only in iCloud drive. They are not hidden in one of the normal methods of unix.

  I have not tested Time Machine or any other backup program. The folder still exist in your directory home, and they still have all the files, I don't think that changes anything.

  Try the signature of the old account and then signing with the new account info and see what that generates for you.
