Scope of the pool of connections data source WebLogic "maximum capacity".

Hello

I'm under WLS 10.3.6.0.

I would like to know what the 'Maximum Capactiy' setting for a data source connection pool applies to. Is by server, cluster, or on all servers?

I connect to an Oracle DB that limits concurrent connections to 3. I have put "Maxiumum capacity" to this value, but want to be sure that I will never create more than 3 simultaneous connections to the DB of my WLS cluster.

Thank you very much.

Hi, it's by the server, so a cluster of 10 servers would be to try up to 30 connections.

It seems that the best you could do is to have no more than 3 servers and have a 'pool' of

Max capacity = 1...

  • Stand-alone WLS, JDBC, never outputs connections data source

    11.1.2.1 JDev

    My application connects to the Oracle database to do business. I also have a servlet that is called to create and view PDF reports. When the application starts, and every time the servlet is called, an "Active connection" to my JDBC data source. By default, there are 15 connectsions in the connection pool. I see thins in the stand alone WLS Admin Console: Services/DataSources / 'mydatasource' / Connection Pool. Data sources and surveillance shows the number of current connections to my data source. As I monitor the number of "Active connections" and launch myl application in WLS, run reports, etc. I see the number of connections increase. However, the number of "Active connections" never decreases. Even when I log out of the application and exit the browser the number of connections remains the same. I start my application again, and it uses more "active" connections When all connections are exhausted, I get an error.

    java.lang.RuntimeException: weblogic.common.resourcepool.ResourceLimitException: no currently available in the MisseeDS pool resources to allocate to applications, please don't increase the size of the pool and try again.

    I increase the size of the pool and I can run the application again. However, he continues to use "active connections" and never gives them. Finally a failure once again. Of course, stop and start the stand-alone WLS resets everything.

    Can someone tell me how to retrieve the unused "active connections" so my request to not use not all of them and then get an error?

    Thank you, Steve

    Looks like you're using a data source connection in your servlet report but do not call Connection.Close in order to release it to the pool. Can provide you a sample code?

  • Cross the Pool of connections using SQL

    Geeks,
    I have 3 in my physical layer data sources and one of them (for example. DS1) is similar to another source (DS2) (not in physical layer) but the data is different, so is it possible, where in I can view of DS1 DS2 data instead of create new all tables and columns and adding the new connection for this pool.
    If there is any way where we can enter a SQL query in the DS1 tables and display data from DS2 - would be great.
    As much as I think, we must certainly add at least a connection pool.

    Help, please.

    If the arrays are identical between 2 databases, then it should not be a problem. All you do is right-click on the data in the tables and views, and then select the appropriate connection pool. If you have tablenames require fully qualified selected then you will need to ensure that the catalogues are properly configured with the correct table owner names.

    then it uses do not and without closing the longer that your source of data/pool is configured

  • create the SQL server programmatially data source

    Hello

    I would like to create a SQL server by programming in LabVIEW data source. The SQL server version that I used is from 2005. Can someone give some ideas? An example of code will be more favorable.

    Thank you

    Jane

    You can build the connection string you even.  The open function in the Toolbox of data base accepts a string as well (it's polymorphic) who can be the connection string.  This is the site I use to understand.  Is the most common things.  You may need to search Google more specific elements.

    http://www.ConnectionStrings.com/

    If you want to use the other option, someone has achieved a UDL editor in LabVIEW.  You can use this code to create your own UDL which can use the Open DB function:

    https://decibel.NI.com/content/docs/doc-18613

    I have used the above code, so can't comment on that.

    So you have on this machine
    -Oracle 10 g client (only) and in another ORACLE_HOME
    -Oracle 11g RDBMS

    First of all, the 10g client connects fine to the database 11g

    Second, the 11g database includes the base client software, but odbc drivers are not installed by default. You must run YES choose "custom" installation, then select "windows components" in the list of available components.

    I never wanted to install the odbc driver as part of the installation of the database . Only on the remote client installations.

    What are you really will it achieve?

  • How to get the connection from the pool of connection of the UCM JDBC?

    I want to extract an object from the UCM JDBC connection pool JDBC connection. How to do?

    I tried the below code but it throws error

    ConfigFileLoader.init (null);
    }
    JdbcConnectionUtils.getConnection (jdbcManager,
    ConfigFileLoader.m_defaultCFU.m_CFS.getProviderData ());

    I get the below error

    Kind regards

    If you are in a service / filter, it is best to make queries as below in order to create a new (read: extra!) system database connection (and the handling/connection additional error closing you must take care of). Samples are available in the HowToComponents.

    final ResultSet myResultSet = m_workspace.createResultSetSQL( "select * from managedlinks" );

    or better yet

    final ResultSet myResultSet = m_workspace.createResultSet( "QManagedLinksTable", null /* no params for this query */ );

    and define the outer query in your component.

  • List of default data Source is only the list of JDBC data sources

    I have several defined JDBC data sources and have added a few sources of data file. But when I look at the report of a new report properties page, the default data Source drop-down list only JDBC data sources, none of the sources of data file. I tried clicking on the link "Refresh Data Source list", but it doesn't seem to do anything.

    I'd be able to see my file data sources in the Data Source by default list? I the role of the admin, it should not be a security thing. I give my data file sources a role, and I also have that same role.

    Thanks for any help.

    Hello
    The default data source drop box contains only jdbc sources. You must create a new data source, type the file, and then choose the file directory, you have set up and then enter the name of the file. At this point, the default data source is ignored. Weird, I know, but it's like this: 0)

  • change the entity running, PivotTable data source

    Hey
    in our application we have too many search tables, which have the same structur, I asked my team to find a way to create a page to Handel all transactions research tables,
    the user will select the lookup table in the drop-down list, the data will be displayed on the page...

    q: How can I change the entity data source during execution?

    Thank you

    Mamzelle,

    Of course, it is possible to do so in the ADF only, Yes - however, I have not done this myself.

    I actually have a very similar use case (actually, almost the same thing) than yours, and I implemented what I described.

    You can read about my use cases and the solution here [url http://stegemanoracle.wordpress.com/2006/03/15/using-updatable-views-with-adf/]

  • VMS, powering down after the loss of connectivity data store

    My apologies for the newbie question.

    I have 2 ESXi4 hosts connected to a SAN, iSCSI via a switch.  I have server vSphere and HA but not DRS.  The switch has rebooted unexpectedly, that caused a rupture between the hosts and the storage where the virtual machines.  I expected the VMs system crashing, but it seems that they will switch off in an orderly fashion.

    After the reboot of the switch, the virtual machines automatically power (as has been fixed in my vSphere client)

    So was power off start function / stop into my vSphere client settings?  I don't see anything in the newspapers about HA and I didn't think it was a function of HA.

    Check the properties of VMware HA (in cluster settings).

    You will see that the response of isolation is set to shutdown the virtual machine.

    Isolation is when a host to see that he can not ping person.

    If you restart the switch that all guests get in isolation mode.

    You can change the timeout with HA advanced settings:

  • Essbase Studio impossible to 'Examining the sample data' in the Oracle DB Data Source

    E.M.P. version 11.1.2.3.500

    Oracle DB 11.2.0.4

    on Windows 2008R2

    I created a user DB ESSTBC with the following user privileges

    CREATE SESSION, CREATE TABLE, CREATE TRIGGER, CREATE TYPE, CREATE VIEW

    This is my first attempt on the Essbase Studio, so I executed the following scripts as the user ESSTBC to create the TBC tables and load the data

    tbc_create_oracle. SQL

    tbc_sampledata. SQL

    I am able to connect with ESSTBC and select the tables all loaded and made sure the data is loaded correctly

    Then in the Studio of Essbase, I created a data source, which I can list all the tables in the schema ESSTBC in 'Data Source Navigator'. I also managed to create a Minischema by joining the tables SALES, SCENARIO, and MEASURES.

    However, in "Data Source Navigator" when I select "SCENARIO", right click and select "View Sample Data", I am able to pull data from the table. that is the table with all the names of columns grid but no data. No error messages were shown in "Messages to the Console.

    Back to Developer SQL and connect the same DB as ESSTBC, I have no problem do a "SELECT * SCRIPT;" and recover all the data of the table without a problem.

    I proceed creating dimensions elements then a hierarchy of "SCENARIO". But again when I try to get a glimpse of the hierarchy has got an empty tree. Apparently, there's something wrong,

    No matter what mark on what I missed?

    Thank you very much.

    Problem solved. The cause being my stupidity ruin a access DB. I can see examples of data without changing anything in Essbase Studio after you change the DB user rights.

  • Data source connection problem

    Hi, im starting to get into Coldfusion and im trying to connect to a database, but when I do the data source and submit it it times out.

    I tried to go to the main page of data sources and the database verifies showup but when I click on the little button it tells me there' are was a mistake. It is said:

    "Connection verification failed for data source: Teacloud.
    java.sql.SQLException: [Macromedia] [SequeLink JDBC Driver] [SequeLink Server] the data source specified is not defined.
    The root cause was that: java.sql.SQLException: [Macromedia] [SequeLink JDBC Driver] [SequeLink Server] the data source specified is not defined. »

    don't know what that means. Can anyone help?

    Thank you

    If you try to connect using ODBC Socket, this technical Note should help:

    Make sure you use the correct driver and have all the required information entered correctly under Advanced settings.

  • root properties in the connected data store: error when accessing the date/time storage

    When you browse the properties my connected data store I get an error message when you try to read the value of the property of 'storage date/time': object doesn't support this property or method.

    Here is a minimal example:

    Dim oMyDataStore, MyProperty, oMyProperties
    Set oMyDataStore = Navigator.ConnectDataStoreByParameter ("TOC", "" & "C:\Program Files (x 86) \National 2012\Examples\Data\Example_data.tdm" & "" ')
    Set oMyProperties = oMyDataStore.RootElements (1). Properties
    For each MyProperty in oMyProperties
    Call MsgBoxDisp ("property name:" & MyProperty.Name & + "\n"&"property value:" & MyProperty.Value "")
    Next

    Why can I not access this particular property by default?

    Hi Phex,

    for the date/time properties, an object called UsiTimeDisp is returned. This object allows to that extend features of service as access to each part separately (day, year, hour, seconds,...) of your date/time value. If you want to print the value of time with MessageBoxDisp, you can use the VariantDate this object property.

    Your code might look like this then:

    Dim oMyDataStore, MyProperty, oMyProperties
    Set oMyDataStore = Navigator.ConnectDataStoreByParameter ("TOC", "" & "C:\Program Files (x 86) \National 2012\Examples\Data\Example_data.tdm" & "" ')
    Set oMyProperties = oMyDataStore.RootElements (1). Properties
    For each MyProperty in oMyProperties
    MyProperty.DataType = eTime Then
    Call MsgBoxDisp ("property name:" & MyProperty.Name & + "\n"&"property value:" & MyProperty.Value. ' ") VariantDate)
    On the other
    Call MsgBoxDisp ("property name:" & MyProperty.Name & + "\n"&"property value:" & MyProperty.Value "")
    End If
    Next

    I hope this helps.

    Good day

  • Fill the drop-down list in the SQL data source

    I have a data source that retrieves data from an sqlite database. How do I pass two areas of this query to a drop-down list on the page. I want to create a drop down list with the value and the text of this data source

    Hello

    To extract the values you need to wait for onDataLoaded. "data" parameter is a list of cards.

    An example of code for data access :

    http://supportforums.BlackBerry.com/T5/Cascades-development/SQLite-count-query/m-p/2477699#M27180

    http://supportforums.BlackBerry.com/T5/Cascades-development/DataSource-data-in-JavaScript/m-p/244171...

    To add an option to the menu drop-down:

    attachedObjects: [
      ComponentDefinition {
        id: optionFactory
        Option {
        }
      }
    ]

    ... to add an option:

    var newOption = optionFactory.createObject()
    newOption.text = 'Text to add' // or a variable fetched from data source//newOption.otherfields = ...
    dropdownId.add(newOption);
