  You have two queries in dev because you use for a table of two logical source:
  * VEIS_HECHOS_ACUMULADOS
  * and VEIS_HECHOS_GLOBAL

  How OBIEE select this table? This tables are selected if:
  * all of the columns in the answer belongs to the source table
  logical level of each source table is defined with the same parameters for the table two source

  I asked to do a complete inventory of what exists in dev and prod, circles of table, view, procedure and TOAD names. This is necessary because currently our environmetns dev and prod are not the same or not in sync with the other, they want you want to synchronize.

  I need to start by making a list of table, procedure, discovered the names etc. in each approx. I started copy pasitng each name of the table, view and others in an excel spreadsheet. But I want to ask you is at - it an easier way to do it? Rather than manually go and copy - paste each name I can copy the list of table names and send it to my worksheet? It's a huge database, I want to know if there is an easier way before I take the average confectioners.

• Configuring a Site suitable for Dev and Prod

  I use DreamWeaver for years but I'm stumped on this question (apparently Basic)...

  We have 2 servers, development and production.

  We have 2 sites put in place, 1 for each.

  Our local sites are the same for dev and prod to make the files easier prod pushing.

  We get the 'file is identical to another site. The synchronization may not work.

  So... What's best practices on the implementation of dev and prod? Definitions of separate sites with the same local? Sync should be turned off to avoid pushing them to prod by chance?

  He would if CS4 or 5 were in the mix, since these two would allow you to have both dev and prod definitions in a single site definition, rather than the case of two site you describe.

  I can't understand this. his summer lasts for some weeks now. I have the data source to properly configure an Oracle database. a simple "select * from web_adm.coordinates" on my PROD box returns results in 1 second. on my DEV machine, the same takes 60 + seconds. They both ask the same oracle database table. I uninstalled Coldfusion and re-installed in the DEV box... even uninstalled and reinstalled Apache on the DEV box. still no luck. regarding my debug settings, they are all EXACTLY the same. same exact thing machines thus so no difference of material. I think databases with indexes take more time. What could be the problem? Help, please!

  after update of everything... still having the problem. so I contacted someone here in my office who troubleshoots networks... looks like it was the case of the funky stuff with the computer name and port/switches... He made the changes and everything is fine now. Thank you all for your help!

  We used the trial for about 3 months now for my dev VM, we ordered server and license of cisco, but reckoned the server aren't ready yet. Can I use production licence, we bought on my dev VM and eventually my VM to production?

  Customer PO licenses are locked to a specific server node.  You will need a license code selarate for each system that you defend.  This includes extensions of the trial for the customers.

  When you install a new system, you get a trial license with installation which is good for 30 days after initial installation. After that all licenses are node locked.

  Congratulations at the end of your first application!

  As the PROD has no workspace configuration, if the option workspace_id to apex_workspaces, there is no workspace in PROD.  This means that I have to run

  Instead of

  apex_application_install.set_workspace_id (n_workspace_id);

  In fact as a Setup for your PROD, I suggest that you export your existing workspace of DEV and import in the PROD. This has the advantage that the ID of the workspace will remain the same, which will make easier the installation of applications. You run the import script of the workspace as SYS. The export of the workspace can be created via the Admin Instance INTERFACE.

  If you are creating the workspace with the export script you will not have to do anything before @101.sql running (you'd connected via the schema of your workspace or as SYS)

  The plug-in is part of your export app. No further action necessary installation.

  We have our DEV and QA in a single instance of oracle. Scripts that refer to table in DEV names will be copied on to QA DEV quality assurance tests for unit tests at the end. DEV, extract us data from 5 source systems, one for each State of the United States, which use the same application, so the names of the source tables are identical, and so in our staging area we have a scheme by the State such as TX, GA, MD and we extract data in tables that are identical to the staging tables. As cross us the aggregation state our scripts should refer to TX.employee and GA.employee in the same sql statement.

  I guess that you could possibly use VPD. But it would create major problems if you have always wanted to make schema changes - you could not add a new column to a table in DEV, for example, without this column is also available in AQ. You could not have code in DEV that does not exist in QA. I guess you could really get fancy and use g 11 edition redefinition to have an edition of dev and qa edition but I wouldn't think how to promote prod code in this kind of environment. In addition, editions is a characteristic of the company (at least, I'm not sure if it is an extra cost option) which would tend to be beyond the solvency of the company trying to save on licensing costs by combining dev & qa in a single server non - VM (and even less in the same instance).

  You may have your application use any dynamic SQL so that dev could use the DEV_TX while QA scheme used the QA_TEX schema and it was only the schema of TX in prod, but that obviously never gets old very quickly. You can create a single set of synonyms the synonym TX_FOO points to DEV_TX. FOO for users of dev and TEST_TX. FOO for test users, but then you will have to remove qualifiers to schema of all your SQL queries.

  In short, an application like you describe trying to share an instance would be a pretty massive undertaking.

  We have an application of ADF deployed in our test Weblogic server that seems different from that of the same application deployed on our production server, even if the same jar file is deployed both.  For example, the background of the page is a different color.  We have done a healing of ADF very little, but it comes with the jar file and is the same.  One difference I see is the class that is generated in the body of the jspx tag.  In the test it is < body class = ".p_AFMaximized .x 141" >, but Prod is < body class = ". x13q.p_AFMaximized" >

  We really want to solve this problem without reinstalling Weblogic in prod.  Any ideas on why the environments are different?

  Dale, I just remove some libraries will not do. Libraries are wired upward into several files meta on the server when they were installed. There is no official way to remove some libraries.

  You must first check if the adf on the server version is identical to the test. For this, you can use the web service I wrote (https://tompeez.wordpress.com/2012/02/05/adf-how-to-find-out-which-adf-version-is-installed-on-a-manged-weblogic-server/). It is a mask of sign service that does not use adf, but check lol look in the right container to get the version information. This service doesn't have a user interface, you get the info by testing the service once you have installed the service in the administration console or steering business you use soapUi.

  If the versions are identical, you dig deeper. You must parse the logfile of servers with care. Unduly your application from the server, deeply it again and before everyone started working with the control of the application log for messages about missing skin. If the server does not find the base skin, is used by default an another skin that will produce this behavior. If you don't find anything, launch the application and look at the log.

  Is it possible for me to spend new pages in one go existing dev to Prod. Apparently I can archive a new page in Dev dashboard, but when go to the folder of desired in the Production catalogue, the system does not show me "Unarchive" option in this case. [I can 'unzip' the whole dashboard folder (e.g./SR/Dashboards/Service), but not a single page within the Service go.]

  Hi Baber,

  I encountered a similar situation. Here is the solution for you!

  Just unzip in the parent folder, or in a shared folder in the production. and then copy and paste a page not archived this folder in your target folder where you want to move.

  Once you have copied into your target folder, test the page and delete the page not archived.

  2. in dev and test send emails to only the development team.

  So I intend to modify the code to get information from database "Select sys_context('userenv','instance_name') from double;" and send emails to recipients, based on the name of the instance returned.

  If I'm heading in the right direction? Please let me know if there is a risk that in the future prod and dev can return the same name!

  We have a table of configuration and put an entry here as recipient of email. You can store different settings for different environments.

  hard coding your logic, relying on instance_name is not a good idea.

  serioulsy, it depends really two things budget and IO.  If you had the money for two without then buy two and don't have to host your server environment and the other for VDI desktop, their IO profiles are completely different.

  If this is not the case, try to keep each type of use for their own dedicated LUN.
