ESXi 4.1 error live migration

I have 2 servers Esxi 4.1 in a HA cluster with a dozen of VM (Windows and Linux hosts). Due to limited resources, we had to add a server more Esxi 4.1 (spec material for guests shown below). The idea was live migrate virtual machines from existing hosts to the new host. Pretty strange of the virtual machine will not migrate direct and throws the error message "host CPU is incompatible with the requirement of the virtual machine to CPUID level 0 x 800000001 register"edx"...» (screenshot attached).

esxi1 (hosts in cluster HA)

esxi2 (hosts in cluster HA)

esxi3 (new host added)

3 x DL360 g5 with Intel (r) Xeon 5130 CPU @ 2.00GHz and 4CPU X 2 GHz.

As a work around, I can poweroff these virtual machines and migrate them to newly added host and switch on. This seems to fix the problem automatically incompatible cpu.

Now, I'm puzzled to understand whats going on. I'm sure that someone out there had a similar experience and might have answers.

you need to activate tehcnology Intel VT in the bios. Some manufacturers call it virtualization technology in the bios. Once you turn it back on, save it, then turn off the server and boot to the top. This gives a power cycle to cool off in ready mode of VT.

Here's the tutorial for Dell server, but it is not far for other manufacturers. http://www.vmwareinfo.com/2009/02/enable-VT-and-EVC-in-Dell-BIOS.html

    Hello

I have a new Hyper-V 2 built node cluster. Storage is presented through SAN. Live-Migration network, network Public, private network and virtual switches-2 VMS-MGMT. These boxes are hardware identical; HP DL580 G7 with a lot of horses. I am running Windows Server 2012 R2 Datacenter Core on each node. My problem is, I validate cluster, and I get no error at all. This is a brand new clean install, but for some reason any I can only migrate from one node to another and not return without having to reboot a node after live migration. I don't know what I'm going? Has anyone already experienced this? A peer of mine installed the same scenario in a different data center and it does exactly the same thing too. Which leaves me to believe it's OS or hardware related?

  • Error after migration of DPS (Woodwing)

For the last three nights, I received this error when migrating publishes collections of old DPS (created with Woodwing). Someone else has the same error?

    The collection was not published.

Publish failed. Please try again later. [pubs-5000]

    Select publish to try again.

This is just a test, we still use the old DPS for production of. The next edition of morning is still Ok.

    Skjermbilde 2015-11-05 21.42.03.png

After you publish the collection, he appears in products & subscriptions in the portal. But you cannot publish the collection because - I suspect - the Date of Publication of the migrated folio is set in the near future. I think that is why you can publish a collection migrated the next morning. Check the setting of the Date of Publication in your environment of Woodwing. Of course, I could be off the mark here, but it's a possibility.

  • Error "cannot migrate automatically.

    Hello

I am trying to get into one of my hosts esx in maintenance mode but still get the same error, Maintenance Mode 'Enter' is stuck on 2%.

In the "tasks and events", I see that there is always the same error "Cannot migrate automatically" on the same vm.

I'm familiar with this error when a CD-ROM is connected or something like that, but this isn't the case.

When I'm trying manual vmotion this virtual machine and it works fine, without error.

My vSphere cluster is built from ESX 4 4 U1 servers that are set up to work with DRS and HA.

DRS recommendation is to close 2 of my servers, so this probably isn't a performance problem.

    Any idea?

    TNX,

    Tal

    Hello

Not sure if you are still having this problem, but the most common cause of this is that DRS in not "fully automated" value, so DRS is not able to automatically move virtual machines off the coast of the host to allow it to go to maintenance mode.

I recommend that if you have the DRS in 'manual' or "partially automated" for a particular reason, then you must manually migrate the virtual machines on the host before trying to place it in maintenance mode.

    Hope this helps

  • Error during migration of business rules

While trying to use the import/export option in environmental assessments to migrate business rules, we encountered an error.
The export went very well. When you try to import, it says this: (even if it allows me to select the xml file suitable for import)
Error during migration of business rules.
Detail: The import file specified is not a valid trade rules xml file. Import ends.
Details: Exception occurred. Please check your log file for more details.

I'm sure I used the inherent format to export business rules.
The old and new systems are version 11.1.2.

The LCM method has failed also to the migration of business rules.
    Any suggetions?

    Hi all

I have a problem during VM migration live in the different data store, the specifications of the virtual machine is just Windows 2003 x 64 installed with the latest VMWare tools.

    Here is the error message:

The active state of VM migration

any idea what could cause this please?

    Kind regards

    AWT

Check that the machine ESX4 has prevention performance virtualization and data, indicators enabled in the BIOS. I could move 32 bit machines vmotion Unflagged VT turned on in the BIOS, but 64-bit machines could not begin until I activated the flag of VT in the BIOS.

Also try to clear the mask of the source of the VM CPU before migrating, providing the hosts have the same hardware.

  • Classic report shows wrong "could not parse the SQL query: ORA-00942" error after migrating app to the new environment

After migrating my APEX 4.1 application to a new environment, one classic report displays a "cannot parse the SQL query: ORA-00942: table or view does not exist" error when the page is displayed. Change the region to report SQL source to somehow (e.g., remove spaces, changing the order of the variables in the WHERE clause) immediately solves the problem, but by returning to the source of the region causes the report error again (the source region valid code without error, however).

    Throw the error message:

    Select v.id,

    v.Col1

    of view_vw v

where (: P1_FILTER is null or)

    v.col2 = :P1_FILTER)

    Do not throw error:

    Select v.id,

    v.Col1

    of view_vw v

    where (:P1_FILTER is null or)

    v.col2 = :P1_FILTER)

Changing the order of column in the report has the same effect; i.e. He arranges, but return back to the original column order causes the error to display.

It's as if a cached result for the correct select statement used by the report is displayed. However, the application does not use the caching of page/region. Any ideas of what could be the cause?

He solved. Ultimately, all that was necessary was to clear the DB cache using:

    alter system flush shared_pool;

  • Compilation error after migration from 9i to 10g Jdev workspace

    Hello

    Nice day.

We have a few custom pages OFA under EBS 11i developed using Jdeveloper 9i, now we migrate these EBS 12.2.4 page.

After you open the old workspaces, the tool asked me to convert these packages to 10g, so I selected Yes.

Now, when I try to compile the workspaces, I get the below error:

Error(26,8): class oracle.jdbc.driver.OraclePreparedStatement is not public; cannot be accessed from outside of package package driver

The original line of Java is:

    import oracle.jdbc.driver.OraclePreparedStatement;

    Help, please

    Thank you

    JTK1977,

Your code should use the package oracle.jdbc instead of the package oracle.jdbc.driver used in earlier versions of Oracle. Using the package oracle.jdbc.driver is now deprecated, but will continue to be supported for backward compatibility.

All that is needed to convert your code is to replace " oracle.jdbc.driver "by" oracle.jdbc " in the source and recompile. This can be done Isoquant. You must convert all classes and interfaces that are referenced by an application. Conversion is not required, but is highly recommended. Future releases of Oracle may have features that are not compatible with the use of the package oracle.jdbc.driver .

    See the link below:

Oracle.JDBC (Oracle database JDBC Java API Reference)

Change your declaration of import as below:

    import oracle.jdbc.OraclePreparedStatement;

    See you soon

  • Error after migrating APEX app to a different database instance

    Oracle EE 11 GR 2

    APEX 4.2.x

    ------------------------

After the migration of an APEX application and underlying database objects into a new database, I get the following error (blackened my name of component specific to the application and the id for security reasons):

    APEX_ERROR.PNG

In APEX, this error occurs when you try to run the application after logging in the workspace of the application.

A specific to APEX table might be damaged or not migrated as it should have?  No tables starting with APEX were imported.

No, these can be customized (self defined) so it's to the application developer.

If you go to the request of the manufacturer and open the application and go to "shared components", then the "authorisation schemes' and open the schema with the name mentioned in your error message (behind" component name: ') you should see the authorization code that fails somehow. Search for the tables and the data mentioned in this piece of code.
