ESXi & Installer hangs when starting

Hello

I looked around and looked for my problem-related entries in the forum, but I couldn't find anything...

Here is my problem:

* New server Fujitsu TX200 S7:

2 x Xeon CPU / 64GByte = 16GByte RAM 4 x / 4 x SAS HDD 600GByte / RAID LSI Ctr RAID0/1/5/6/10/50/60 mit FBU - Erw. + Modul TFM / DVD - RW / embeddet USB Device of the UFM

I experienced enormous problems to start with the installer of vmware esxi 5.1 (or 5.0) CD ROM or esxi host 5.1.

What works with the above server:

* Install it is an os windows 2012 std server on the raid system is executed without absolutely no problems

Start the success of server std 2012 win every time.

* Setup a esxi host 5.1 on the server, but only subsequently install Fujitsu «server see DVD»

What does NOT work with the above server: (every time, never had a successful boot)

Booting with the esxi 5.0 installation CD original fujitsu - fails!

* Start with one (from vmware) downloaded fails - esxi 5.1 installation CD!

* Start with one (from fujitsu) downloaded fails - esxi 5.1 installation CD!

Start a successuflly by the Fujitsu 'Start Server CD' installed esxi host 5.1 on this server - fails!

* Test: start without lsi sas controller (without any disk hard sas) - the server starts faster (without the lsi raid controller firmware)-, but fails.

* Test: starting with half of the installed RAM - fails!

The symptoms of what happens during startup and cannot:

* First step of booting (bundle of progress on the top of the screen) will run successfully

* During the first seconds of the second stage (starting ESXi Kernel, beam of progress is displayed on the bottom of the screen), the computer did a hard-reset and the startup process begins once more.

So I don't know what I could do.

Because all windows system works perfectly, I would exclude a hardware error

On the other side, Fujitsu specifies this server with this equipment compatible with esxi, then I do not understand that no esxi (Installer) will be initialize to top.

So, what could be the reason why the software does not start?

How can I know the reason why the systems do not initialize-go to top?

Thank you very much for any suspicion solve my problem!

What about Tom

the firmware all is patched up?

There might be something that win2012 is ok with it the flaws esxi hypervisor

  • HP 6530 b hangs when starting

    Hi all!

    I have a HP 6530 b hanging while I'm trying to start. Basically what happens is it starts to boot and then it stops. I got Windows 7 Pro 64 bit installed with a Linux 12.04. I was doing my job on the computer a few days when it shut itself down, without warning. The screen will not suddenly goes black, but it was as if I had told her to stop, that I did not. As he was closing down, there the screen on the fact that she had installed updates. Anyway, it restarted itself and it could not boot into Windows. It got to the point where the Windows Logo appears, but it froze right there.  I waited for about 20 minutes to see if she would do anything, which he did not. Tried to restart that and it froze before he even got the Windows Logo. Now, it happens on the screen that indicates that Windows could not start and needs to be started in recovery mode. I tried and it failed too. I could remove the hard drive and connect it to another PC and starts very well under Linux, he said that the installation of Windows has been damaged. From what I can deduce, I think I can give up this install of Win7, but I can't understand what is causing the PC to hang during startup. any suggestions are appreciated.

    Thanks for the advice, but I already understood that the motherboard is bad. Thanks anyway!

  • Win XP Pro SP3 hangs when starting.

    My copy of close to ten years of Windows XP Pro served me well... it has been updated a number of pious UN time (and that was just the first few days after I first bought!) is the current state of the SP3.  I've never had a problem with the start of the BONE, until two days ago.  He simply refused to start.  There had not been updated, there had not been any virus, (Norton 360 first version 5, SpyBot Search and Destroy, AVG Security Suite Pro) full... it worked and works well, I stopped him and when I went to restart, it is hanging in the first screen of Windows XP (black one who lights up for a few seconds and scan blue dots everywhere under the name "Windows XP").

    I was able to restart in safe mode, no problem.  I then went through all the lists of things to try that I could find on here and any other support area of Microsoft.  Clean boot didn't work, start diagnosis does not work, no matter how configure msconfig, the result was the same. hang in the first XP screen.  I found an article that said to use the Windows installation disc and do a "set up"... essentially replace the operating system without affecting any of the other programs or data on the disk.  I did this, and of course, it still hangs on the first XP screen.  The kicker is NOW, I can start is no longer in safe mode, because it comes in saying that it is a 'NEW' XP installation and as such must be activated before first use... and because activation cannot be done in safe mode, please restart the computer in normal mode and proceed with the activation...

    IF I COULD START THE COMPUTER IN NORMAL MODE, I WOULD HAVE NOT HAD TO REINSTALL THE OPERATING SYSTEM AND SHOULD NOT ACTIVATE OR HERE BEGGING FOR HELP!

    Hi RonaldHaywood,

    It looks like the Windows XP installation is damaged and that the only option is to reinstall Windows XP on the computer after saving the data.

    You will need to take the computer to a store local tech to save data and then perform the clean installation.

  • Windows XP installation hangs when the BIOS is set to AHCI

    I have Windows 7 on my computer. It has a motherboard Asus P8Z77 - V LX with the AHCI BIOS.

    Now, I would like to install Windows XP to a dual boot set up so that my son can continue to play some of their old games XP.

    When I tried to install XP, I got the BSOD during the first phase of the installation process.

    Internet research, I discovered that Windows needs a controller AHCI driver and that I could use F6 to install the appropriate driver to a diskette during installation or wake the driver in a Windows installation CD using a program called nLite. I chose the latter because there are no floppy drive on the computer. I chose the version XP 32 bit Intel (R) series 7/216 Chipset Family SATA AHCI Controller to wake.

    I used my newly created installation disk and the initial phase of installation is fine, but after the first reboot, just like the Windows XP GUI interface appeared, the system crashed, rebooted and crashed again.

    The only way I could get XP install was to change the BIOS to IDE, then it installed fine. But Windows 7 does not load unless I have change the AHCI BIOS so that's what I've done so far.

    Suggestions as to how I can either get XP to install in AHCI mode or change it to AHCI mode, once it has been installed in IDE mode?

    OK, my apologies, it seems I have didn't read entirely your answer. I have BSOD stop 7B have treated several times and has been guilty of inaccurate "quick read".

    However, I gave you a possibility through response to your last paragraph...

    install the drivers for XP AHCI as it is started in IDE mode, and then change the AHCI BIOS

    .. have you tried this? What were the results?

    After thinking a bit about this possibility, it may be a good idea to restart in IDE mode after installing the AHCI driver before then stopping and switching to AHCI mode.

    As far as I know there are only two possibilities for the installation of the AHCI driver when installing XP. You dismissed one of them (Setup F6 disk) and you say that the other does not have a bootable system. Maybe you could try to "slipstreaming" once again, in which case the process did not work properly. Where did you get the drivers from making the wake? Was it the same place as the link I posted above? Absence of "slipstreaming" or the purchase of a (cheap) floppy drive, my only suggestion is that I repeated above.

    Finally, can you confirm that it is stop 7B that you get? If not what stop do you receive?

  • Pavilion TX2623: Laptop hangs when starting Windows

    Hello

    When I start the laptop, I see the HP logo, the blue window of Microsoft and the white dots turning in a circle and then everything freezes after 5 seconds or more. If I force the power off I can restart without problem. At the start, I can hear the fan, player and I see that the player accesses (blue led).

    I tested the memory and the disk with tools (diagnostic) which you can access from the start. The results were very good.

    I did a hard reset, search the forum for similar problems.

    What bothers me is the fact that force a shutdown will lead to a normal start. For several days, the model has been the same. Computer hangs at the first attempt, I force shutdown and then everything works fine.

    Any idea?

    Concerning

    I managed to find a solution.

    It seems that the fast start feature is at the origin of the problem. I turned he took and no more freezing, at least so far (several departures and stops without problem).

  • HELP, my laptop hangs when starting

    When I start my laptop and come to the sign for Windows vista on the screen, I click on my profile, it highlights this profile but then freezes.  I tried safe mode but only rarely in the works.  If she is unable to work and load to the top of my desk, it just freezes I press start.  The last time that I did it and it started upward, I got a blue screen, but it cuts down quickly until I could read what the problem was.  Any suggestions?

    Restore point:

    Try typing F8 at startup and in the list of Boot selections, select Mode safe using ARROW top to go there > and then press ENTER.

    Try a restore of the system once, to choose a Restore Point prior to your problem...

    Click Start > programs > Accessories > system tools > system restore > choose another time > next > etc.

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    If restore work not and you do not have a Vista DVD from Microsoft, do a repair disc to do a Startup Repair:
    Download the ISO on the link provided and make a record of repair time it starts.
    Go to your Bios/Setup, or the Boot Menu at startup and change the Boot order to make the DVD/CD drive 1st in the boot order, then reboot with the disk in the drive.
    At the startup/power on you should see at the bottom of the screen either F2 or DELETE, go to Setup/Bios or F12 for the Boot Menu.
    When you have changed that, insert the Bootable disk you did in the drive and reboot.
  • Premiere Pro CS6 hangs when starting
    I have install Adobe CS6 Master Suite. All the other programs I ran into this suite very well work. However, when I try to start Adobe Premiere Pro (either just the program or by double-clicking on a project), the program crashes before it can end the commissioning. I use Windows 7 Ultimate, that displays the message
    "Adobe Premiere Pro CS6 has stopped working. A problem caused the blocking of the program works correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available. »
    I tried to uninstall and reinstall the program, which did not work. I also did the same with the sequel, which has worked for me yesterday, but today when I tried to start Premiere Pro, it broke again.
    I use an Alienware 14
    Intel i7-4910MQ 2.90 GHz
    16 GB memory
    64 bit
    I don't know what other information would be necessary to solve this problem. And I thank you for any help, as Adobe does apparently not care enough about their customers to provide support for their products.
    Update:
    I tried to install an earlier version of the Adobe Suite (CS5) after using the Adobe tool to clean all my system facilities. I met the same problem, I've never seen with this version. So, I guess it was something wrong with Windows. I was going to return my PC to its factory settings, but decided to first update to Windows 10. The update corrects the problem. Thus, there was apparently a problem with the installation of Windows, or possibly a program that changed the Windows somehow he couldn't run Adobe Premiere Pro. In any case, I am using it without problem with creating for a few days now, so the problem seems to be resolved. Thanks John Smith, to try to help me to troubleshoot this problem. I'll keep in mind that double graphics cards are likely to cause problems when I have problems in the future. I didn't know this before. See you soon.
    Hi, just got this phone 5 days ago, nine from Best Buy and cannot get it to work...
    Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit
    When you try to run certain applications, the impression that the HARD drive is constantly used, and the symptoms are that this request, nor other can operate.
    Example:
    Installed Skype 5.2, launched the program. He began
    For more than 5 minutes, I tried to start "Task Manager" to monitor the activity.
    "Task manager" window comes after 3 minutes and doesn't show anything in the 'processes' tab (Skype is still loading) trying to move the window will become grayed out and "Non-response" appears for a few seconds.
    When "Task Manager" finally shows info, I see that the CPU is almost not used (once again, the HARD Drive LED is constantly lit).
    Forcing of Skype to the 'end' can take another 10 minutes, after which the laptop becomes usable, once more.
    Uninstallation has taken more than an hour and only succeeded after a few reboots.
    I tried older versions - same result.
    Same effect is noticed in other scenarios (i.e. navigate on the internet while playing music with Windows Media Player).
    Although I doubt it, this can be related to Windows 7 64 bit does not completely supporting 32-bit applications.
    P.S. I do not live in the USA so I can't just go back to BestBuy and get their support.
    I feel lost and don't know what to do... Pleas help.
    Hello
    Because the laptop is new, I recommend that you set the notebook back to factory settings.
    Check the available applications. It must be called Creative Software recovery disk Toshiba.
    Create a recovery disk and after creating recovery disk, retrieve the device.
    This will set the laptop to the State as on the first day of purchase.
    Hope this helps you solve this problem
    There is no magic solution to such problems. BSOD can be caused by different things, but I assume that, in your case, it is caused by some software. Have you installed third party software?
    If you know the day when it happened for the first time try to roll down the operating system to an earlier time using System Restore tool.
    1st thing to try is a restoration of the system in safe mode
    http://www.windowsvistauserguide.com/system_restore.htm
    Windows Vista
    Using the F8 method:
    1. Restart your computer.
    2. When the computer starts, you will see your computer hardware are listed. When you see this information begins to tap theF8 key repeatedly until you are presented with theBoot Options Advanced Windows Vista.
    3. Select the Safe Mode option with the arrow keys.
    4. Then press enter on your keyboard to start mode without failure of Vista.
    5. To start Windows, you'll be a typical logon screen. Connect to your computer and Vista goes into safe mode.
