Ethernet link e MacAddress Duplicato

Salve a tutti,

Ho una Centos5 con interfaccie 2 ethernet in collage.

Since it liaison crea one ' con interfaccia macaddress uguale a quello di una delle due schede di rete, Vmware Workstation e tell error macaddress duplicato di mi part di network TR blocca.

Esiste UN some workaround by risolvere he problema?

Grazie a tutti

  • change the speed of the PC at 10 or 100 Mbps Ethernet link

    Hello

I need to change speed Ethernet from the PC through program which is change the speed 10 or 100 Mbps.

Is that possible, if yes, then please let me know the procedure.

Or at least, I should be able to read the PC Ethernet speed in LabVIEW.

    Thank you

You don't need .net 4.0 for this (.net 2.0 is pretty good) or anything else installed.

I have attached a VI with control.

PS: If you need to load assemblies .net 4.0 on to LabVIEW, you must follow the instructions in this link:

    Hello

If you have configured ports such as access to VLANs ports, who are either:

    (a) not configured on the switch / present in the database for vlan.

    or

    (b) present in the database, but it is in a suspended state.

You will encounter this problem.  Please can you check the status of the VLAN?

    Hope this helps

  • Ethernet link to the bridge network and server

I'm not an expert and hope that I do not use the wrong terminology, but I have an intermittent fault which has become more or less permanent. My major son put up for me a computer with Windows 8 as its operating system and a server for storage, connected by a cable to transfer files. The computer has its own router, with which it communicates with the local network based on a router and modem in the next room. There is a network bridge to access the internet. Initially (January 2013) it worked well. Sometimes, I couldn't connect to the server immediately, but simply another attempt was enough to access it, and he had no problem with the internet connection.

More recently (late July and August 2013), it became more difficult to access the server and now seems permanently impossible, the server simply showing with a red X across as one of the devices on the computer page. The Internet becomes also more difficult, although there is no need for the server or available to arrive and still connects for a short while before disconnect. In July, the internet can usually be restored by turning off the modem and the router, and when they were on again to restart Windows 8, but that no longer works. I tried to reset the computer to the previous settings, but without success. I also tried the diagnostics tools, but generally, they fail to address the issues identified, except for an occasional brief of the internet. Until today, it has always been possible to show the LAN on the network page, including the iMac computer and printer next to the router and the modem, but today the network folder showed most of the time as empty, any diagnosis I ran in the attempt to identify and connect to the local network, which today needs to manually connect even if automatic connection is checked. Conversely the iMac can still see the computer Windows 8 when he is awake through the LAN, but only in January, he sees the server.

The error or the troubleshooting messages that have been published are (1) to the server: the (network) path could not be found, or the name is already used. The IP given my son is 192.168.0.101, I tried and failed to find in the browser of my iMac, which does not suggest that it is already in use. Even if it wasn't a valid IP address, it would not have worked between January and July.
    (2) for internet access: reset of the card of network bridge that can force a reboot with a reference to the AREA of PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_ that I can't continue without an internet connection. unresolved issues can include one or all of the connection between your modem cable, router or point of access and the Internet is broken. "Network bridge" is not a valid IP configuration. the default gateway is not available. The computer in the other room has had uninterrupted access to the internet, so it is unlikely that the router or the modem it are at fault, who leaves the access point or the configuration of the network gateway. I found some of these error messages in the discussions on Windows 7, but not for Windows 8.

Finally, the watch status bar above all a network with limited access and a connected LAN ethernet bridge, which is not enough to bring me to the server or the internet; However, today the necessary local network setting procedure of discovery of devices running and by ticking the automatic connection to the LAN router in the next room, although both had previously been functioning. Is this the consequence of Windows updates downloaded and installed since January? Very briefly this afternoon after having restorng the settings they had on August 5, the convenience store was able to solve the problem of the bridge network, only for access to the internet to be cut shortly afterwards for lack of a valid IP, a problem solved configuration a few minutes before. Would it be possible to obtain internet access directly via the LAN network without the need for a network bridge, or is it a mistaken assumption on my part? Even if this is right, remains the problem of access to the server. Any thoughts anyone?

    Hi Clive,.

If you have included a lot of details about this question in the thread, I was unable to get a clear picture of the network configuration you have. What is the topology of the network that you set up?               How the server is connected to the network? What is a Client-Server network model you have?

If Yes, then this problem is better suited for it professionals about TechNet Forums that are well equipped with the knowledge of Client-Server network issue. Please post your question in the TechNet Windows 8 IT Pro Networking Forums from this link:

  • How to extract all the drives SAS/SATA and Ethernet port speed of the link command line?

    Hello

Do you know if supports Windows OS built in order to extract all the SAS/SATA drives and ports Ethernet link speed?

i.e. for SATA3 drive it show 6 Gbps, for DIS3 drive it will show 12 Gbps, to present the current link speed.

i.e. for Ethernet 10 G, it will show 10 Gbit/s while the current connection speed is at 10 Gbps.

I need the command to create a batch file to run bike test to check all connection speeds are correct in each cycle the system power runs, if the Windows operating system does not support built in order to achieve this, please send us any tool of 3rd - party with the support of the command line to do this.

  • Mini mac 2012 drop ethernet connection

    2012 mac Mini i7, 16 GB RAM, 1 TB SSD. OS X 10.10.5.

I have owned this since it was released in 2012 and have had no problems with it until a few weeks ago. There was no putting recent update of the OS or other additions s/w or the material that I could attribute to this issue.

I noticed a few times a day, a notification is displayed that my wired ethernet is down, then back to the top. Originally it happened so sporadically, I simply ignored him. But yesterday it happened about 50 times in a row, up toward the bottom up toward the bottom up toward the bottom. Usually, when he finally reconnect, the interface would be to 100baseT rather than 1000baseT. Syspref is set on automatically configure.

My home network has not changed during this period. My cable modem (Motorola SB6141) feeds a router Cisco (Linksys), which feeds an Apple Airport Extreme (latest generation) and another router (I have run two separate subnets, one for business, one for home). EI feeds a switch 8 ports that my Mac Mini is attached. I have reset the cable modem, Linksys, EI, and tried different ports on the switch... Note that no other machines on the network are strange network anomalies.

I made a sure start yesterday and which seem to help for a while, but I noticed earlier the lights of the switch to the port of MacMini are orange instead of green, indicating 100baseT and of course, it is checked by the syspref config.

Cable of your mini directly your main router, or modem without going through the rest of your network?

Do you have any activated energy saving settings?

You have a lot of variables and breaking points in your system. Difficult to isolate what's going on.

  • Sharing files with an Ethernet Switch?

File sharing used to be quick and easy XP. For the love of...

I have therefore two systems of 64-bit Windows 7, a laptop and a desktop computer. They are both connected by cable to an ethernet switch. I want to share files between them.

Both computers have the ethernet connection to the switch identified as 'Unidentified network' Public value. I can't seem to do file sharing because the location is 'Public', but there is no way to change it to "Home".

If I go to 'Network' in Explorer, I can see the names of the two computers, but if I try to watch one computer to another, he said, he cannot access the network. And that's all.

I tried to decipher 'Share with' and records public and all that _ but that's just add layers of confusion.

Also, I noticed that when a game connects to the internet and Windows Firewall picks it up, he suggested that I let him on public connections but not connections Home. That makes no sense at all. If anything the opposite of what is happening.

I presume that the SSID on your 2Wire wireless is a unique SSID and not by default. If the default value is possible your desktop (s) numere and wireless try to connect to a device of proximity with the same SSID. You should also broadcast of the SSID. If you think that the interference run inSSIDer to find an unused channel. Channels 1, 6 and 11 are preferred.

Reset the router to its default settings and try to reconnect wireless since the two machines as a test.

The example assumes that your routers IP is 192.168.1.1, it assigns IP addresses in the range 192.168.1.X and that the range of addresses of DHCP servers is something superior to 192.168.1.10, IE. 192.168.1.50 and upwards, for example...

  • VPN via ethernet

    Hello

I'm reposting this thread, sorry for that.

Is it possible to operate the access remote vpn for users at the metro ethernet, as users connect to headquarters using vpn for remote access via metro ethernet link.

This metro ethernet link connects headquarters to the branch.

We want to test the scenario for remote access users.

-Main office hosts the servers behind firewall ASA 5585

-another branch is located in the same city for a short distance, but connected via metro ethernet link to Headquarters (no internet link in the branch)

-The users of the branch needs to connect to the main office servers located behind a firewall

-The value of the subsidiary security considerations mean that the branch users use a vpn client to authenticate to servers & not directly access servers

Is that we can configure vpn remote access to the Head Office of the ASA, knowing that there is no internet connection in-branch & branch users will use metro ethernet between the two offices link to connect to the vpn?

Appreciate any help. Thanks in advance

    Hello

    I don't know why it wouldn't.

As long as users can connect to the IP address of the interface of the ASA HQ (through which lies the site of the direction of), then you should be able to configure IPsec VPN for this interface and enable them to use VPN to connect to certain parts of your internal network.

I guess the agency network is currently using the Internet connection via the HQ site and traffic to any internal network HQ is still blocked. Or maybe authorized but will be amended to require the VPN to access.

  • Customer Beach on OSXS balls

TL; DR: connections to the server to slow down to a crawl for the customers, without apparent reason.

    ________________________________________________________________________

Server: last model Intel Xserve quad Xeon 2.26 GHz, 12 GB of RAM, with all updates linking El Cap 10.11.6/Server 5.1.7 plant internal SSD. Accessed files are on separate disk. Bare metal system installation and reconfig a few months ago (server were previously running Snow Leopard). Our services enabled only for customers are the sharing of files with Time Machine. OD turned off, since we do not use the services in need.

Network: Wired cat 6 GigE via managed HP happen, more wireless for mobile devices. About 60 connections total network at any time. Xserve bonded (i.e. dual GigE) ethernet link to pass. Comcast Business Internet connection is theoretically 150 / 20 Mbit/s down/up but very variable in practice.

Customers: over 30 Macs, the recent OS versions (with the exception of the one with 10.6.8). Some connected via AFP, some SMB. About 8 Basic users mostly on iMac 27 "with a lot of RAM launch Adobe CC files from the server on the network and work that way. The remaining users are usually connected to the server but not actively using it most of the time.

Problem: drastic periodic slowdowns for the users of the database. Normal activities, like save or open files on the network now take place at a glacial pace, accompanied by the dreaded spinning beachball. All basic users are affected when this happens. Applications concerned are CC Adobe (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign), but that's what these basic users work with almost exclusively, so may be negligible. However, these applications are supposed to be quite chatty (phone home, automatic backup, etc.). Often but not always occurs towards the end of the day.

Comments: server restart usually clears the problem... until next time. So sometimes we are OK for a few days, sometimes not. No correlation is apparent with AFP or SMB connections. Server logs do not show everything that attracts my attention, but they are still quite enigmatic for mere mortals. Server.app statistics show very light server load to cpu (< 20%), memory (< 6 GB), network (< 25 MB/s). Activity Monitor shows no runaway process. Server disks SMART status is good. Basically, our Xserve hardware is in good shape and just stroll along most of the time.

At this point, I'm desperate for ideas or suggestions for a methodology arrive at a solution.

IME, you get these symptoms if the switch is down packages. AFP (I'm not sure about SMB) has a crucial ACK packet with a long (30 s IIRC) timeout for a reply. If your network loses the package, or its response, the customer just locks 30 seconds at a time. Packet-sniffing (tcpdump or wire Shark) with filters would demonstrate if that was the problem.

If your users have to deal with the volume of server as a local drive and open the files "in place" for editing and then performance is likely to be disappointing. It's much better from many points of view to download to a local drive, to do the work, then download again.

If you don't have it already, made your clocks menu display time in seconds and give each desktop a block notes and pen each make one not time displayed precise (HH) this beach balling happens. You can then refine the journal article, you must study and see if all the machines are affected at the same time.

I fought a problem like that for months. It has not been resolved until the network team replaces the HP switch with a Juniper one.

  • Tecra 8000 wireless

I got a Tecra 8000 with a 10/100 network port replicator which will be used as a second home office. On my main PC, I use a Netgear DG834G ADSL wireless router (802. 11 g) for wired broadband. What is the best (or too cheap) way to establish a wireless connection with the Tecra?
There seems to be a number of adapters (for example Netgear WG511) or USB (for example WG111T) adapters. Is the Tecra 8000 USB v1.1 or v2?
I might just put the router close to and click on the ethernet link but I'd rather have the laptop away from phone available catches.

    Hello

As far as I know that the Tecra 8000 has two ports USB 1.1 somewhere on the left side.

In my opinion the Netgear WG511 is much better solution.

  • Interruption of the connection intermittently

    Dear all,

First of all, excuse my bad English; I'm French.

My Airport Express the loss of my Time Capsule airport very frequently (it's a WAN).

I tried to move both of them to see if it was because of a bad remote.

    I did several reset.

I tried all reconfigured my network several times.

I think a problem of compatibility between the two Airport express base (TC and Airport).

All the problems seem to be electromagnetic annoyance in my house.

I bought this express airport, several years ago to expand my network and listen to my ITunes music downstair (my office with the iMac and TC are upstair).

I'm rather bother by this disorder and rather disappointed by the problem.

I know that WIFI network and the communication is not a piece of cake to the point of view of electromagnetic broadcasting.

I wonder if it's because of the electric railway passing near my house...

If this is the reason why, are there solutions?

    What is your opinion?

Thank you for your answers and cordially.

Downstairs, upstairs in a House is usually more difficult to extend wireless path.

I bought this express airport, several years to expand my network

It is the Express which connects directly to power? It isn't second generation... and it has pretty weak wireless.

I wonder if it's because of the electric railway passing near my house...

It should not affect wifi but I suspect even trains could be wifi hotspot active now so who knows...

I'm not sure what you call them in France... here, we call them Ethernet over power adapters... EOP to short... to the United States, they are called HomePlug.

They are now very popular to use when wireless is not reliable... as often.

They do not always work, but it is better to buy a set in a store with a good return policy and see if that fixes the problem.

They're using your electric wiring from the standard home for the ethernet link. If the circuits are the same or fuse box is old fuse wire type they work pretty well.

Then, you can simply plug in the Express by ethernet and use it for your audio stream.

What model is your Time Capsule? Is this new model top of AC or another.

Make sure that the signal level is high enough at the bottom to get a good connection.

If you have an iphone or an ipad even better... load airport utility and use it in the same location as the Express to get a measure of the level of the signal.

    Let me demo...

Airport utility open on the ipad. (iphone same but smaller screen makes it harder).

There are 5 customers on time Capsule wireless so I need to know who is who... I use another utility called Fing... This is the free download and the Airport utility.

There are so my ipad with the MAC address 04:E5 etc... That's probably enough.

Open all wireless clients and find the ipad on the airport utility.

According to the connection of the utility Apple is good.

But I want hard numbers click so well...

Ok. The RSSI is very low... - 77dBm... and the data rate is also quite poor... 26 MB/s

If you want to get reliable connections... Either set the Express to connect to the 5 GHz (it can use either 2.4 ghz or 5 GHz) but the TC must have different names for the various bands. Sometimes 5 GHz will work around the problem even if the signal is weaker...

Or, you should really have much higher signal... I'd say about - 65db mn... and the connection showing excellent for really decent file transfer speeds.

Sometimes you can move things around and get the best signal... but do not forget that the TC to the floor a more signal on the top and the sides... and almost nothing on the bottom... If you reverse it, just to try and see how it works with antennas TC now pointed down.

This allows to... to put hard numbers to your problem... and look at what happens when trains pass... the signal drop or show worst values?

  • Connectivity HP8600 Pro

I just unpacked my new HP8600 and I'm confused!

I managed to connect by Ethernet (to which my main desktop PC is attached) and set up eprint. However when I do this the installer tells me that I can't and then connect the printer to my wifi network. This means I can only print from somewhere else in the House by e-mail and not to print directly with laptops that I did with my previous printer.

I tried to remove the Ethernet link and connection by USB, so I can get a wifi connection, but when I started the instructions I was told that if I went eprint would not work.

Before I could print directly laptops in the House by wifi and also by eprint when I wasn't in the House.

I am unable to do it with the ch?

Also, if I use eprint to PDFs will they print? My previous printer faces with Word documents, but not PDF files when you use eprint.

    Thank you very much

    Ian

    Hi Ian,

You should be able to set up the printer wireless on your WiFi network by following the described here for the steps http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/documentSubCategory?tmp_rule=65678 & tmp_task = setupCategory & cc = us & dlc = in & lang = to & lc = in & product = 4323648

For your printer model is not necessary to connect via USB to the computer when you install the printer on your wireless network.

ePrint will not work unless the printer is installed on a wireless network. PDF file format is a format supported on the ePrint service.

    Hope this information helps.

  • HP Pavilion Elite HPE-400Y no video output.

    Hello

I have a HP Pavilion Elite HPE-400Y computer that I had stored (unplugged) in a bedroom closet bedroom for almost a year.  It was working fine when I put it in storage.

This past weekend, I wanted to use, so I plugged in and connected to an analog VGA monitor well known on the integrated motherboard video VGA analogue connector.  When I turned on, there is no video on the monitor.  I searched the HP support site and found a statement that said "built into the graphics card or the card PCI Express x 16 slot are usable at once; they are not usable at the same time. "This computer came with a 5450 PCI express X 16 video card installed.

However, the 5450 PCI express X 16 video card only has a digital DVI and I wanted to use a loose analog VGA monitor.  So I powered it turned off and physically removed the 5450 PCI express X 16 video card.  Then I unplugged the power cord and removed the CMOS battery for a few minutes.  Then I replaced the battery and applied again to power.

I still do not get all analog VGA video out of the motherboard, not even the BIOS messages it is first energized.

I also tried to integrated edge connector with a DVI equipped, monitor.  Still, there is no video output.

So I removed the power and re-installed the 5450 PCI express X 16 video card that has only a DVI connector.  I connected to a monitor DVI equipped and applied again to power.  There is still no video output was two well-known instructors.

When I turn on the computer, the fan power works, processor and fans of casing run, the blue led on the switch is lit and not blinking.  The Green LED on the motherboard is on.  The Green orange and activity led Ethernet link light are on.  There are no beeps.  I can hear the hard drive starts to work.  I have no video output.

I use a HP USB keyboard and a USB mouse.  The red LED at the bottom of the mouse is not on.  The shift lock and lock lights number do not light when you press the corresponding key.

This computer has spent more time of storage that it has been used.  It worked even when stored in a bedroom closet in bedroom.  I checked all the wire connections on the motherboard, with no improvement.

I would like any suggestions to get this working of the computer.  I wonder if the motherboard has somehow that went wrong.

    Thank you for your help.

    Hello Big Dave,

Thank you for answering my question / problem.

I am aware that I can not use an analog VGA connection on the motherboard for a digital DVI input on my LCD monitor and vice versa.  I tried two different montors both analog and digital connections on the motherboard.  I tried to communicate clearly, but I guess that I don't have.

It is unimportant, now that I've found that HP recognizes that my computer model had a drawing or a manufacturing defect that causes the exact symptoms I am having.  There is here a link to HPs extended warranty program that describes the patterns and symptoms:

  • Select FTP from the 2nd nic card

    Hello world

I know there is probably a simple solution for this, but I found no search terms appropriate to find that answer so here goes...

I have a pc (XPsp3) with two network adapters. Internet access to the system. The 2nd network card (USB) is an internal card that provides only an Ethernet link to a network IP web cam. I know I could use a hub and all that, but the computer lives in a box seal on the top of a building and it's a prototype of a system of low power solar powered, so we do not want to add new components (pics: http://www.flickr.com/photos/timescience/sets/72157623916362084/).  In any case I want images the camera on the internal NETWORK adapter ftp to our server remote timelapse on the outbound internet connection on the other network card. I've set up redirects the port to route the incoming data, but I did have to implement before outgoing routing. I guess it's simple to do. Someone can it tell me how to or point me to a link where its been explained?
    Thank you!
    Tim
