I have fixed everything at the time of my desktop computer starts up to a screen black with no explorer.exe running (the explorer.exe running only showed a folder at a time, until I restarted it.) and now I have a connection problem.
My netgear router has a connection with my computer, it shows green in the taskbar. However, my actual connection to the internet is not as lucky as the connection with the router.
I see the networks that I am able to connect to, but as soon as I did, I said that I am not currently connected to any network. If I go to "Connect to a network" I see clearly that I'm "connected with limited access" to Snet-G, which is one of the networks available to connect.
In my options of netgear, I am also connected to Snet-G, and it shows that it is actually connected.
My problem is the fact that I can "ipconfig" and I find none of my information, and when I try to ipconfig/all, it gives me an error something while not connected, so it says that I'm connected and does not, at the same time. My local internet does not work (can not navigate to 192.168.1.1 and others), and of course for this reason, my global internet does not work.
I need a fix for this, because I just put a ton of subscriptions for this month, which are already paid, and if I can't use this month is a good slice of $50 trash just because I fixed something.
Thanks, that's a well advanced topic.
I tried the following:
System Restore (6 days back, the problem started 2 days ago)
Restarting the computer
Unplug modem (30 seconds)
Restarting the router/Reset
Connection to the Snet-N instead of the Snet-GThings to take note, if you do not already consider: I can't connect to my router config (192.168.1.1), my computer says I am connected locally, but not in the world.I have some information about the modem if necessary.-I have restored my computer 6 days ago, but only changed my problem with explorer.exe back. Why can't I produce a pdf when the computer shows that Adobe pdf is ready to print?
All of a sudden, I have a problem of pdf creation. When I'm in a document, I go to print and is not only adobe listed as an alternative of the printer. Yet, when I go to devices and printers, here it is. I am able to print a test page. I rebooted without effect. I have Acrobat XI Pro installed under Windows 7. Just three days ago, I created a 100 page book using this printer and sent the file to a printing plant in another city without problem.
Mystery solved! Although I don't know why. I went to another document and it would be to convert to PDF in the normal way. I went back to that I worked on, saved and closed, and then reopened it. Presto! Adobe pdf is presented as one of the print options.

Four laptops and a main computer
You have left out a lot of information, like how you get to the Internet and what systems of operation or Service Pack levels different computers are running, and if the printer is connected locally to a particular computer. So I'll give you some general tips and then if you have any questions you can come back with the lack of details and I can be more specific.
General steps:
1. do you have a router (or a combination modem/router). This will create the Local ("LAN") network. If all the computers are connected to wireless local area network, make sure that you configure the network wireless safely. See below for more details.
2. best solution - to have a printer real network which is connected by cable (wireless only if it is not close to the router) to the router. Then all computers on the local network can print to it without the need of a particular computer to be turned on.
3. If your printer can be connected locally (directly to a computer via a USB cable), then:
a. set up the file/printer sharing on all computers (see below for more details);
b. install the printer on every computer.Configuration of the router wireless safely:
Have a computer connected to the router with an ethernet cable. Examples given are for a Linksys router. See the manual of your router or the router mftr's Web site. for the parameters by default if you don't have a Linksys. Open a browser such as Internet Explorer or Firefox and in the address bar type:
http://192.168.1.1 [Enter] (it is default IP address of the router, which varies from router to router then check your manual)
This will bring you to the login screen of the router. The default username is blank and the Linksys default password is "admin" without the quotes. Enter this information. You are now in the configuration of the router utility. Your configuration utility may be slightly different from mine. The first thing to do is to change the default password because * all * known default passwords for different routers.
Click the Administration link at the top of the page. Enter your new password. MAKE A NOTE SOMEWHERE THAT YOU WILL NOT LOSE. Re-enter the password to confirm it, and then click Save settings at the bottom of the page. The router will reboot and show you the box of connection again. Do not fill in the user name and put it in your new password to enter the configuration utility.
Now, click on the link wireless at the top of the page. Change the network name (SSID) wireless by default to something, you'll recognize. I suggest that my clients not use their surname as the SSID. For example, you might want to name your network wireless network "CastleAnthrax" or similar. ;-)
Click on save settings and when you get the prompt that your changes were successful, click the wireless security link which is just beside the Basic Wireless Settings link (where you changed your SSID). Most computers purchased during the last 4 years have the wireless hardware that will support WPA2-Personal (also known as WPA2-PSK). This is the desired encryption level. If your wireless hardware is older, use WPA. Don't use WEP, because who is easily broken within minutes. So go ahead and set the Security Mode WPA2-Personal. Do this and enter a password. For example, you could use the password ' here be dragons, beware you scurvy dogs! The password is what you enter on all computers that are allowed to connect to the wireless network. MAKE A NOTE SOMEWHERE THAT YOU WILL NOT LOSE.
At this point, your router is set up and if the computer that you use to configure the router will normally connect wireless, disconnect the ethernet cable and wireless of the computer should see your new network. Enter the password that you have created (exactly as you wrote it with all capital letters and punctuation) to join the network and start surfing.
Network:
Here are the steps of general network troubleshooting. Just cannot apply to your situation, so just take the bits that are. It may seem daunting, but if you follow the steps in the links and suggestions below calmly and consistently, you will have no difficulty to implement your sharing.
Excellent, comprehensive, but easy to understand article on sharing files/printer under Vista. Contains information about sharing printers and files, and the folders:
http://TechNet.Microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb727037.aspx
For XP, start by running the Network Setup Wizard the on all machines (see warning in section A below).Problems sharing files between computers on a network are usually caused by 1) a misconfigured firewall or a firewall neglected (including a dynamic firewall in a virtual private network); or (2) inadvertently run two firewalls such as the firewall of Windows and a third-party firewall. and/or (3) do not have accounts to the same users and passwords on all computers in the workgroup. (4) tries to create actions where the operating system does not.
A. configure the firewall on all machines to allow traffic to local area network (LAN) as being approved. With the Windows Firewall, it means which allows file sharing / print on the Exceptions tab normally run the XP Network Setup Wizard will take care of this for these machines. The only "witch hunt", it will turn on the XPSP2 Windows Firewall. If you are not running a third-party firewall or you have an antivirus/security with its own firewall component program, then you're fine. With a third-party firewall, I usually set up the allocation of LAN with an IP address range. E.g. would be 192.168.1.0 - 192.168.1.254. Obviously you would substitute your correct subnet. Refer to the safety of any third party program or the user forums for how to correctly configure its firewall. Do not run more than one firewall. DON'T STOP FIREWALLS; CONFIGURE THEM CORRECTLY.
(B) to facilitate the Organization, put all computers in the same workgroup. This is done from the System applet in Control Panel, the computer name tab.
(C) in Vista, turn on password protected sharing. Create accounts of users and corresponding passwords on all machines. You do not need to be logged into the same account on all machines and assigned to each user account passwords can be different; accounts/passwords just need to exist and to match on all machines. DO NOT NEGLECT TO CREATE PASSWORDS, EVEN IF ONLY OF SIMPLE. If you want a machine to boot directly to the desktop (a particular user account) for convenience, you can do this:
XP - set up Windows to automatically connect (MVP Ramesh) - http://windowsxp.mvps.org/Autologon.htm
Vista - Start ORB > Search > type: netplwiz [Enter]
Click continue (or provide an administrator password) when you are prompted by UACUncheck "users must enter a user name and password to use this computer". Select a user account to connect automatically by clicking on the account you want to highlight and press OK. Enter the password for this user account (when it exists) when you are prompted. Leave blank if there is no password (null).
D. Si one or more of the computers is XP Pro or Media Center, turn off Simple file sharing (Folder Options > view tab).
E. create share as you wish. XP Home does not share the users directory or the Program Files, but you can share folders inside those directories. A better choice is to simply use the Shared Documents folder. See the first link above for more information on Vista sharing.
F. you have the job of file sharing (and tested by exchanging a file between machines), if you want to share a printer connected locally to one of your computers, share of this machine. Then go to the printer mftr Web site. and download the latest drivers for the correct system. Install them on the target machines. The printer must be collected during the installation procedure. If this isn't the case, install the drivers and then use the Add Printer Wizard. In some cases, printers must be installed as local printers, but it is outside this response.

Hello
my printer of seams run very well on old runing computer dell laptop win 7. Now I switched to OSX Yosemite, MacBook Air and I have problems with printing. I have instaled nessesery pilots, even been updated for them, but I can't find a way to print something.
When I turn on my printer, conect to the laptop via the usb port, press to print the page, I can see that the document is on the queue and also the State of ptinting. Driver is actually showing me the wrong results, as printer prints pages and how much left, but the printer will take no action.
I don't know what can be the problem, because my printer works. It may be a driver, but I think it's an official for this printer so I'm stuck.
Best regards

Hey @iznogud92,
Welcome to the Forum from HP Support.
I see that you are unable to print from the Mac using your HP LaserJet Pro P1102 printer. I want to help you with this. I have some suggestions that might help.
Try the following steps:
- Uninstall the printer - click here for instructions.
- Fix permissions of the disc on your Mac - click here for instructions.
- Once you have finished running the utility above, restart your computer.
- Finally, click here to reinstall your printer.
You are able to print from Mac now? If not,
You can add the printer manually and use a generic driver built-in. Here's how:
- Click on the black Apple
- Click on System Preferences
- Click Print & Fax, print & Scan or Printers & Scanners
- Click the Plus (+)
- If the Mac detects the connection of your printer (either via usb or wireless) click on 'Use' as shown below
- Select the generic driver printer PCL
Note that this installation method is not guaranteed, but it could serve as a basic solution. Please let me know the result of your troubleshooting by responding to this post. If I helped you to solve the problem, feel free to give me a virtual h.o.t. by clicking the "Thumbs Up" icon below and by clicking to accept this solution.
Thanks for posting in the Forum from HP Support. Have a great day!

My printer recently started telling me it was in a State of 'error' and could not print my documents. Sometimes I could turn off the printer market and all that was trying to print would then print, if documents or Quicken checks. Now I can't print from the computer at all, or it will print checks from Quicken even if I turn the printer power off and power on. The HP Web site indicates that it is connected. It is the second computer from HP Officejet 4620 of the original that I bought. The first has a problem that has been covered by the warranty, and this one doesn't seem to be much better.
Hi @Janilynn,
Welcome to the HP Forums!
I read your post and wanted to help.
I understand that the printer does not print when the computer shows that it is connected. Please run the print and scan the doctor.
I would like to know if it solved the problem or gives you an error message.
If this helps you to find a solution, please click on the button "Accept as Solution" down below in this message. If you want to say 'Thank you' to my effort to help, click on the "thumbs up" to give me congratulations.

Computer shows it's connected, but unable to connect to the Internet
Original title: also connected but unable to connect
I have a HP Pavilion a1710n 64 Dual Core Processor running Windows Vista Home Premium.
The computer shows that I am connected to the internet, but I can't connect to IE or firefox.
My Internet Protocol Version4(TCP/IPv4) properties shows that the two buttons marked for obtain an IP address automatically as well as the use the following DNS server address.
My network card is NVIDIA 10/100/1000 Mbit / s, and the computer shows that it works correctly. I tried to do a back roller and re - put to date but still the two marked buttons.
Large number of background information...
I was trying to understand why the windows installer did not work on my son's account. I went in systems and changed to start and automatic manual. Rebooted PC and the firewall do not come. Tried to do a restore, but failed and lost all my restore points.
At this point, I lost my internet connection to know after vainly trying to figure out the problem I contacted an ATT(my internet server) of things ATT me had to do was change the properties to get the use of a DNS server address automatically and had typing me the address. After reviewing the many things ATT concluded there was not a problem with my connection and the PC is configured correctly and suggested that I should speak to technical support and of course, it was not free.
Tech support determined there was something that crashes me to connect to the internet and had run me malwarebytes. He detected 24 traces of adware and 2 traces of a virus in the registry database. I deleted everything and still no connection to the internet. Next Tech had me run Combofix and says everything should run fine after that. Still no connection to know Tech # 3 had executed me guests of orders with ping commands. Finally, he had me check the auto config button and that's where I discovered the two buttons were lit. Tech said "can't be." Well it is. That's when I tried to roll back the driver, but no luck so tech says only option is to restore the whole system.
GRRRR... After several internet searches that I'm about to do except nothings saved and whenever I try to use my backup and restore fails.
Any help would be appreciated. I'm still fairly new to PCs so please be patient with me. Laughing out loud
I know that my options have been counted, I was able to save what was important and made a full system recovery. I am happy to say that I'm back on the internet.
Thank you very much for your help and support. I learned a lot on my computer, as well in location wonderful are the microsoft forums :)
