Events of keyboard in Control Panel

There seems to be a problem with the keyboard events in the HTML panels.  No event will through the Panel, but is instead picked up by the host application.

You can see an example of this by loading the demo of polymer paper-entry in a panel of Photoshop.

Using a simple tag < input > works as expected, so I think that it is related to the host application verifies how focus in the Panel and that he not properly recognizing the < input > targeted in the DOM of the shadow of the paper entry.

Please let me know if there is a solution for this?  I would like the Panel to receive events whenever the Panel is active.

See you soon,.

I have found a workaround for someone else who may encounter this problem.  I was able to override the tagName property of the WebComponent of return "INPUT".

Object.defineProperty (myWebComponentElement, "tagName", {}

get: function () {}

return "INPUT";

},

countable: true,

configurable: true

});

See you soon,.

    Hi Grayson_dove,

    If you want to close the "Capture" Panel, you can use the default shortcuts.

  • Events of keyboard only reaching no not the HTML Panel

    Extension dear Community Builder.

    I'm developing an HTML extension that contains a text Codemirror Editor. The problem, which is huge in this case, is that Photoshop intercept keyboard events. They reach my Panel, or my textarea or Codemirror object. This makes it unusable concept of whole text editing. Even the keys CTRL + Z (UNDO) does not work, not to mention all other useful keyboard shortcuts. As I can see, PS getting the command CANCEL even when im in the area of the Panel. PS intercept events and it is pixel editing, which is funny, but not too useful in my case tasks.

    What is the right way to tell Photoshop: l pleaseand manipulate me the keyboard for a while! Later you get it back, when I was finished with the script of typing. ??

    Thanks for reading and responding in advance.

    No good news I'm afraid. Tab behavior was a long-term problem to fix in each application separately and it took some time to developer complaints to fix. And partly it is probably expected behavior, that is the envy of Adobe Photoshop shortcuts to be global so that the panels can not divert focus (same as Adobe panels). As far as I know, there is no way that you can change you may need to think about how to deal with it.

  • All the sounds of my event disappeared and have been replaced by a beep loud. Impossible to control via Control Panel.

    My sounds don't work anymore and the only noise I still is a strong signal. The sound is still very well when I play DVD, etc. I can't fix the sounds via Control Panel - I reapplied the sounds of Windows by default, but the problem persists. In addition, the beep does not disappear when I choose No. sounds or turn off the sound.
    This could be a coincidence, but this problem started when I tried to update AdAware and had an error of update that resulted in an error message reappears frequently interfered with Windows startup. I uninstalled AdAware and no longer see the error message, but still the beep.

  • How to enable and disable the part of the "control panel".

    I want to know if part of the control panel can be turned on and off by an external action, to use the mouse or a Boolean variable. Someone has an idea that help color? Thank you

    Ricardo

    You can disable cookies by using the node property and ownership "Disabled". You can create a tab control and disable the entire tab control that will disable all inside of it.

    To do this programmatically, set up your code with a structure of the event and create an event when the user changes the value of a button or click the mouse.

    See the example I did:

  • Hide/show the Control Panel button

    Hello people!

    I want to show some Boolean buttons on the control panel only if another button Boolean is true - and hide them if the button is set to false.
    Read some posts, but could not understand how it works with the visible property.

    Thanks for your help and greetings from the Germany!

    Right-click on one of your buttons and select Create-> Node-> Visible property.  You now have a way to make this button visible or not.  I recommend that you use a structure of the event and create a case of change of the value of the button control.  Fair value of the visible property of your other buttons according to the value.

  • After download of Internet Explorer 8 I can't open all the icons in the control panel. On display is come information that Windows cannot find 'C\WINDOWS\system32\rundll.32.exe '.

    Dear Sir/Madam,

    Yesterday, I downloaded Microsoft Internet Explorer 8 web from Microsoft Download Center.

    After downloading Microsoft Internet Explorer 8, I can't open any icons in the control panel.

    On display is come information that Windows cannot find 'C\WINDOWS\system32\rundll.32.exe '.

    Help, please. Thanks Gene.

    Thanks Gene.

    Dear: :

    Running sfc/scannow will not replace the missing rundll32.exe file.

    Why you post methods that do not work and will be just wasting time?

    Hove you never even seen this problem before, tried to recreate it so that you can actually see, or have you never really fixed?

    Why you learn not what sfc/scannow does and does not do?

    Here is a simple test to you and all your colleagues in the technical support engineer:

    Rename or delete just your c:\windows\system32\rundll32.exe file is "missing".

    Rename rundll32.exe---> rundll32.xxx

    If you started normally, before you can blink, the 'missing' rundll32.exe file quickly and quietly replace the copy in the dllcache folder.  It is the Protection of Windows file in action and you will see something like this in the Event Viewer log system:

    Event type: Information
    Event source: Windows File Protection
    Event category: no
    Event ID: 64002
    Description:
    File replacement was attempted on the protected system file c:\windows\system32\rundll32.exe. This file was restored to the original version to maintain system stability. The file version of the system file is 5.1.2600.5512.

    I beg you to perform this simple test to know how the sfc/scannow:

    Boot your system to Safe Mode or the recovery for the Windows File Protection Console does not run.

    For this example, we will use the system critical file rundll32.exe.

    Rename or delete your c:\windows\system32\rundll32.exe.exe file so the file is now "missing."

    A critical file, is it true?  It is on the list of the file 3498 knows the Protection of Windows and SFC files, but now he isn't.

    If Windows File Protection is running, the "missing" file would be quickly and silently replaced (try to rename or delete it in normal mode and it will be quickly and quietly replaced).

    Now, with your file rundll32.exe missing, start in Normal mode and try to use something like control panel to open something like Power Options and you'll see that familiar message:

    Control Panel
    Windows cannot find 'C:\WINDOWS\system32\rundll32.exe '.  Make sure you typed the name correctly and then try again. To search for a file, click the Start button, and then click search.

    Now you have recreated a common problem with the missing file and seen the error of our own eyes.  A Microsoft Support Engineer will usually suggest running sfc/scannow for this kind of problem, but it will not work or help and you can prove it to yourself, and now you have reproduced the error.

    You follow own advice and run sfc/scannow to the end.

    The rundll32.exe is always had disappeared, right?  Did run sfc/scannow replace the missing critical system file?

    How can he be so sfc/scannow is supposed to replace the missing system files?  This is because it is not this that sfc/scannow does.

    Now you know sfc/scannow does not.  He did not replace your missing system file (don't forget to put your rundll32.exe back so you will have a).

    Now, go to c:\windows\system32\dllcache and delete or rename the file rundll32.exe from there - and it will be gone and not replaced automatically because the Windows File Protection does not seem after this record.

    Run sfc/scannow in full again.

    Replace the file rundll32.exe missing in the dllcache folder, since it handles missing files (not the system32 folder) IS the folder that sfc/scannow.

    Now you know sfc/scannow does.

    Do you need help to know too much about the corrupt system files?

    Since most people do not have a genuine XP bootable installation CD, they will not be able to develop a copy of the file that is missing from the installation CD, they have not.

    After some directions on how to replace the file when the user has no XP bootable installation CD authentic and that will be useful to all.

    If you don't know how to say "I don't know how" and I'll help you.

    You want to inform/warn the poster that SP3 is installed that running sfc/scannow will take a long time for the installation of SP3 CD?

    If you do not have a CD with the same Service Pack as your installation (most people don't), the posters are in for a rough and frustrating time.

    Of course this will help with the detachment of the Ministry of Education of the impossible to try things that don't work, but I thought I'd throw it out there for the 100th time.

  • Non-alpha Vista Control Panel, the icons are randomly dispersed

    A friend with Vista has a control panel where the icons are not willing or the normal horizontal alphabetical way, or in a vertical alpha order. They are scattered at random, apparently. This is the 1st time I saw it. What would cause this condition? How icons can be changed to a normal alphabetical order?
