Example: office jet 4652: I'm getting an incompatibility when printing

I get an incompatibility message when trying to print envelopes #10 with windows 7 AllPro address Manager software with HP 4652 office jet

Hey @warbamn,

I understand that you have some problems with printing envelopes from your Windows 7 PC to your Officejet 4652 e-all-in-one printer. I can help you with that, but I'll need some information first. Please let me know if you see the incompatibility error when printing envelopes from another program first. Once I know that I will be better able to help you.

    Hello

Thank you for using the HP Forums.

Can you try using a TCP/IP port?

    Creating a TCP IP port

    1. print a Configuration Page to get the printer IPv4 address (you can also tap on the icon wireless on the front panel of your printer to obtain the IP address)
    2. on your PC, go to the Panel control, devices and printers, right-click the printer and on the left, click printer properties, select the Ports tab.
    3. click Add Port, select the Port TCP/IP Standard, then New Port and follow the instructions in the wizard.
    4. Enter the IP address of the printer.

This video resource will show you how do:

Create & use TCP IP port

Note that you can ALWAYS go back to the original port the HP software installed by selecting the HP port on the Ports tab (in the properties of the printer)

  • Office Jet 8600 is not repond to OSX Maverick print commands

OfficeJet 8600 is connected via an Ethernet cable to the router and therefore iMac OSX Maverick.

Printer has suddenly stopped responding to orders print of all applications, but the app on iMac printer shows this object is to be wrapped and printed.   Similar problem with other wireless devices.

Printer accepts pings of iMac, so the connection is good.

Have restarted printer and print drivers reinstalled twice with no success.  have also tried also wireless.

    Any ideas?

    Hello

Try unplugging your router for 30 seconds, plug it back and restart the printer.

You don't see any difference while trying to print?

May you have changed your network lately? for example a new router, an update of the firmware of your router, etc?

Thus, it can help to know the brand and model of your router.

  • 6600 HP Office Jet: Samsung devices do not find my wireless printer.

I have a Samsung galaxy phone s5 and a Samsung galaxy tab s. Tablet I bought an HP officejet printer 6600 on there a year and a half and everything was connect and working properly everything wireless from my phone and tablet. Just recently my Tablet and phone will not find my wireless printer more? I still have the wifi service and my devices can find my fine router and Internet service.  I borrowed a non portable samsung to check that it was not a printer problem because she has always found a printer and worked well. I don't know but, possible had a software update on my phone and tablet that could change something I guess?  Any ideas to fix or try to fix it. I don't have a pc.  Thank you

    Hello

Things to quickly check would be that your printing device apps (ePrint etc.) are updated and that if there was no wifi password changes that this has been updated on your printer also.

I recommend also, if it is not already in place on your android devices to download the HP print for android (be sure to activate the plugin in settings after downloading).

After all the above steps, I will re-start your devices and if this does not help, I would also like to restart the printer. Finally, I would like to restart the router if none of the steps above help.

  • Office jet 6000 wireless of yellow ink does not print

My officejet 6000 wireless stopped printing yellow.  I cleaned the print heads and aligned the ink cartridges and installed new cartridges.  I was full of hope because I printed a picture and 1/2 of the page that the yellow has been deployed but now no yellow prints at all.   It seems that myHP printers are expected to fail right after the 1 year warranty expires.

    Hey,.

Thanks for the update.  I would say that at this stage the next steps you are available to try to replace the printhead or replace the unit as a whole.

  • Office Jet 6700 Premium: unable to print from 6700 JO unless I wake up

    Hello

The appellant here desperate because I cannot solve this ongoing problem.

    System set up:

    Office Office

    HP Office Jet 6700 premium

Wire in a BT Home Hub

    Laptop HP EVO, running wireless

    Problem:

I can no longer print the laptop wireless. I need to go to my office and print something. Then only the printer seems to be "awake", and then I can print from the laptop. As you can imagine this is not how it is supposed to be and this causes a lot of frustration.

The printer is also set for a static IP address (it was to solve other printing problems ). I also checked the firmware, and it is up to date.

Please tell us how to solve this problem.

    Thanking you in advance

    Wolfgang

    Hi @Klee66,

Welcome to the Forums of HP Support!

I understand that your HP Office Jet 6700 Premium do not wake up when you print on it, unless you wake up before hand. I'd be happy to help you and don't forget to come back to this thread and check "Accept as Solution", if I have successfully helped solve you the problem. If you want to say 'Thank you' to my effort to help, click on the "thumbs up" to give me a Kudos.

There could be many reasons why this is happening, so please bear with me.

I see what your printer firmware is up to date, which is good.

    • Make sure that the printer is connected directly to a wall outlet. (do not use a hub or a surge protector) This ensures that the printer is full on and can help this situation.

Please try Fix It tool of Microsofts, solve printer problems.

You do not share the printer from the computer desktop you have in sharing files and printing? Otherwise, this could cause part of the problem.

Do you turn the printer power on and off?

I can't see what your printer is connected to the BT Hub with an ethernet cable.

It is possible that the laptop is connected to the printer cannot communicate on the 5.0 GHz network. If they are of the same name that will be confusing.

Have you tried to configure the wireless and no cable connection on the printer to see if it makes a difference?

How old is the router, have you also checked to see if the router firmware is up-to-date?

Is the router dual-band? Two networks are the same SSID for 2.4 GHz and 5.0 GHz? If so, change the SSID to 5.0 GHz to a different name and restart all devices.

What router do you have to BT?

I suggest you read this article by BT, I have problems of connection of 5 GHz and features dual band wireless BT Home Hub 4 or 5 Hub.

I see that you have setup a static IP address. It's a good idea to assign the printer a static IP address outside your DHCP range. For example, some routers default DHCP is located between 192.168.0.100 to 192.168.0.200. So, I would use 192.168.0.232.

While in SAP, open the network tab, and then select IPv4.

Set the manual DNS on the printer.

    • Set the primary DNS as 8.8.8.8
    • And the secondary DNS as 8.8.4.4

  • HP office jet 6500 E709n: HP office jet 6500 E709n

I have a HP jet office 6500 e709n connected to my home network. He worked with my old computer. Now computer died and got a new computer - Dell Inspiron. I downloaded the driver from HP office jet 6500 E709n and started working with the printer part in this product with my new computer. Print and FAX also work.  But scanning does not work. I need a few tracks here to do my part to scan in HP Office jet 6500 E709n works.

Hello! Welcome to the @EdwinD forums

I read your post on the problems of scanning that you meet with your Officejet 6500 Wireless, Windows 8.1. I understand that you mentioned that you have downloaded the driver, however, if the base driver has been installed, the full functionality will need to be installed to scan.

Get the complete driver here: HP Officejet full feature and driver software

If you have the complete driver installed correctly and completely, try running the print and Scan Doctor. This diagnostic tool will check for all conflicts that may be causing the problem. The tool will show you a report at the end. If there is a problem that the tool could not fix, you will notice it in the results.

Please send me a screenshot of the results, or specific details.

    Also try a reset:

Press the power button to turn the product on.
With the product, unplug the power cord from the back of the product.
Unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.
    Wait at least 15 seconds.
Plug the power cord into the wall outlet.
Reconnect the power cord to the back of the product.
If the product does not light by itself, press the Power button to turn it on.

Tip: Make sure that the printer is plugged directly into the wall, avoiding bars power and surge protectors. This ensures that the printer is full on and can help greatly.

    Happy new year!
