• How can we share knowledge as examples of projects and the OPA standards?

  Is there a place for the community to share things? For example, we worked on the OPA standards, etc. It would be nice for other people to be able to comment or reuse what we have created.
  
  We also have examples of projects we create to prove concepts. For example, we have created a project to demonstrate the temporal reasoning. This project responds to questions such as "how to make corrections to errors in production for the tables of rates or temporal rules? "How are general additions, subtractions and changes the rules managed when the temporal rules? "How can you temporal rules of unit test to make sure that they will not break at some point in the future?
  
  These issues were not easy to answer, so it would be nice to share our solutions and see what the community thinks.

• All of the examples of projects now need export/import/config-hokey pokey?

  I'm working my way through using Flash Builder from day 1, and when I tried to change a workspace for the examples that I have received a warning that there could well be problems with the current version of FlashBuilder and examples of projects. I was directed to this page: http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/899/cpsid_89996.html

  Can someone tell me if I just made a mistake, or if this is necessary for each project? If the latter, it seems a bit strange do not provide examples of current projects to the current version of FlashBuilder, whereas as part of the evaluation process, they are, indeed, material sales.

  Available for FIAW current project files are fully compatible with the current version of Flash Builder.  Please keep in mind that the alert you receive is only a warning.  I am sure that the project files will be updated in the future, but until they are, we can always use them as they are.

  Is there an example project in 2015 of LabView for data dissemination using 5791 NI FlexRIO and SMU-7972R Simple?

  We checked that the sample project in LabView 2015 contains only example with the following combinations:

  - NEITHER 5791 with SMU-7966R, and

  - NEITHER 5791 with SMU-7975R

  Any answer will appreciated.

  If you add a 7972 to the project you can simply highlight all the files, the VI and the clock of 200 MHz under the 7975 and copy them into the 7972. From there all you ned to do is add the i/o Module to the target and're you good to go.

  

• Module e/s NI 5761 clock compiled 0 to 100 MHz in single/multiple Sample CLIP examples of projects

  Hello

  I was trying to wrap my head around the CLIP sample NI 5761 Multi (v4.1.0) because the CLIP provides 250 PSM data, but the IO module requires a clock of 200 MHz.  I think, ' NOR should handle the conversion of the clock, fine, but I hope that the diagram is running at 125 MHz... otherwise I'm really confused "so I look at configuring the clock Module e/s in 0 \examples\FlexRIO\IO Modules\NI 5761\NI Getting Started\NI 5761 5761 - to Started.lvproj and to my surprise, it is compiled for 100 MHz.

  I checked the target 7965 in NI 5761 single sample CLIP\NI 5761 - unique CLIP.lvproj and IO Module clock 0 sample was compiled for 100 MHz there as well.

  I do not understand the difference between the flow of data and the selection of clock 200 MHz IO module, and it would be nice to understand it, but not necessary.  Also, I don't understand the difference between data rate and the configuration of the Module e/s 0 clock that drives the SCTL that contains the node IO.  I understand that to move forward.

  The CLK200 in the selections of the clock is used to excite the parts of the fixed logic that are internal to the CLIP. Some CLIPs FlexRIO may only require a CLK40, this one requires a CLK40 and fixed a CLK200 to properly perform its logic. Thus, it seems that everything is ok in regards to that.

  Unfortunately, the example incorrectly uses IOModClock0. The SCTL AI IO node resides in should use a resource of the clock that says "Data Clock. We've updated the examples in more recent versions of the pilot, but you seem to be using a version of the driver where a CLIP that uses the clock of data is the latest available for the 5761 CLIP, but the example has not yet been udpated to use.

  

• Impossible to debug the example provided with the SDK projects

  Hey there.
  Just recently I started learning the SDK AE. After reading the first two pages of the Guide to the software development kit, I decided to try to build/debug examples of projects in visual studio.
  I tried with the model project "Skeleton" and with the "Resizer effect" project, but the two I can't seem to make it work.

  I set the environment variable AE_PLUGIN_BUILD_DIR for the correct path, and I also made sure visual studio debug using AfterFX.exe
  However, if I try to launch the visual studio debugging (F5)... nothing happens. After effects opens, but nothing happens after that.

  I checked my output log and... Well well full of messages like:

  Can someone tell me what I'm missing?

  Well, it is normal that if you launch AE in the debugger, nothing different happens if you launch AE normally. Which means that you must create or load a project and apply your plugin, so you can stop in the debugger (unless you want to catch global initialization, which is made on the loading of the program).

  With regard to the PDB messages in the journal, which is quite ok, as the Adobe dll plugin obviously would not come with debug information.

  The plugins you've compiled are born actually in the correct path? They are available in the menu effects in AE? It is the first thing to check, because when there is not this plugin, debugging is not available :-)

  I interpreted your question so that your .aex files are actually present and visible on EI, you just can't break into the debugger when one of them is used.

  So for your plugin, you must make sure that it contains debug information, otherwise you will not be able to debug.

  Please check the following settings for your project in Visual Studio:

  "C/C++" - "Debug Information Format" value "Program Database"

  "C/C++ - preprocessor"-"Preprocessor Definitions" string contains the "_DEBUG" set

  "C/C++ - Code generation '-'Runtime Library' is defined is ' / MTd ' or ' / MDd" (this is the most common error when unable to debug!)

  ' Linker - debugging - 'generate debugging information' set to 'Yes "".

• VC ++ 2010 &amp; 2008 Express cannot open project examples

  Hello! I use Premiere pro CS5 SDK to make the effects when I was guided to start to use the AE SDK instead because it would provide a better foudnation to make effects.

  I can open all of the example/sample projects at the first pro SDK but when I try in the SDK of the EA, that's what I get, in vc ++ 2008 and 2010:

  VS2005 compulsory installation of the PSDK (platform sdk), which contains libraries for windows programming.

  on 2008, it was replaced by the "windows SDK", which is supposed to be installed automatically.

  Have you looked at the example provided with LabVIEW? "" You can find it in the finder example under input and output material"FlexRIO" Modules e/s ' NI 5783

  Note that you must have FlexRIO 15.6 or newer to use the module and see the example, as it was when the support has been added for the 5783

• problem reading DAQmx using Measurement Studio 2010 (even with examples OR)

  Hi all

  I'm reading the voltage using a map of NOR-DAQ-6211 with Measurement Studio 2010 SP1 V9.1.0.204. using Visual Basic .net 2010.
  When I create the task of data acquisition with the measurement studio Wizard, (Assistant DAQ) everything works fine. However, when I try to create my own task player in looking over the "ContAcqVoltageSamples_IntClk" everything I read is a value in the range of Vmin to Vmax (or to Vmin Vmax) and then she stays there no matter if I change my diet. Vmin and Vmax does not yet match my values of voltage. (It acts like that on my application and example of OR) I guess I missed a few initial settings. The config of AIChannel in two projects (manual task and Augo-Gen) use AIChannelConfig.RSE (I tried other options, but no luck).

  The only wiered thing is that when I open examples of projects, VS does not recognize the object references of NOR. Workspace names DAQmx. When I check the references, it shows that it does not find the reference to NI.Common. To make it work/compilation, removed from the solution and I again added. (I don't think this is related, as it seems that there are available tensions but not read correctly).

  The other thing is that my input voltage is 3 or 0 volt. When you use the manual DAQtask, when I toggle the voltage, the values displayed change momentarily the order of 0.001 Volts and then go back to their previous values of Vmax and Vmin.

  Yay! I just solved my problem,

  From the first moment I knew there was something fishy about this AITerminalConfig thingy! I made two errors:

  1. in the code example Configuration AI is encoded: CType (-1, AITerminalConfiguration) that caused the code example does not work for all channels to HAVE it

  2 - also, I have in my code, I had put this config to the correct value, but I was checking ai0 all the time while the signal was on another I. I was under the impression that since the example does not work for all my channels, then probably my code does not work as well.

  If after changing the line in the example for the correct terminal configuration settings, he began working for the AI number I was looking for too much and I found that my code worked for my AI # correctly from the beginning. I wasn't just to see it!

• How to access a global variable that is common between the different baskets project library

  My project consist of several libraries, after generation the library project packed for each library, I find it cannot share data in a global variable between different packaged project library file. For example: packed project library #1 contains VI variables global wirte 'position' and give it a value '400 '. Library #2 present another VI project try to read this global variable, but he gave reading of is NULL not "400". Why has this happened? Is it possible to solve, welcome any help, I wll appreciate for this!

  If you understand what is happening here...

  When you build a PPL, it takes in the .lvlib and also all the dependencies of the .lvlib.

  In your case, when you generate the Test Task.lvlib in a .lvlibp, she also pulls on a copy of the DataProcess.lvlib:GlobalsVariable.vi because it's addictive to read GlobalVar.vi.

  Because they are different screws (i.e. in a different namespace), they have their own memory and that's why you can't access the data.

  Your Test Task.lvlibp calls the version of GlobalsVariable.vi, he pulled the dependencies.

  To solve this problem - you must ensure that Task.lvlibp of Test calls the version of GlobalsVariable.vi of the DataProcess.lvlibp - you'll need to replace all instances with the version of the PPL.   I have never come in contact with someone who has undertaken this task before.

  To create your own project Assistant will be a difficult process. Almost everything you see in LabVIEW, as Finder examples and project Assistant, are all the screws that have been written in LabVIEW.

  So you can write your own VI which has the same functionality, but of course, you have control over customization. If you have a suite of LabVIEW which allows you to create executable files then you could maybe start the "custom Project Wizard" as an executable file, which in turn would launch LabVIEW once selections have been made.

  As mentioned earlier, a task that has perhaps ever undertaken by the community and which would require a vast knowledge of LabVIEW.

  First, string vs enum debate is probably the version of LabVIEW vim vs emacs. There are good arguments on both sides, and I doubt that there is always a "winner".

  A brief summary of our reasoning for the current state of the project examples:

  1. We used enums for the state machine because it is self-contained. A state machine will never tell himself to enter a State, he does not know. Knowing (as the programmer) all possible States with the help of an enum allows you to enlist the compiler in order to help us avoid mistakes to change the time (because you can't quite out an enum and LabVIEW can be said if you are not covering all cases to a structure of the case, etc..).

     Enums provide greater protection and rigidity by ensuring all withdrew at the time of publishing. This is often the 'default' recommendation that we do.

  2. We used strings for messages in queue manager because the producer of message and the message handler could be independent processes that are reused or traded. Channels avoid the need for the compiler to be able to connect the orders and push this responsibility to the programmer. This allows you to develop some sub-components independently as long as you agree to a series of channel commands that you can manage - you need not to share a file 'messages.ctl' or 'states.ctl '. It is conceivable a loop of message management a message it does not, how you can decide to either silently ignore it or will trigger an error (as we do in the model). The strings make it also easier if you want to swap the queues of LabVIEW outside by a TCP implementation for network vacilitate or intra-Processuse communication where the other end may or may not be written in LabVIEW.

     Channels to provide more flexibility (that is, you can add new commands to an existing via plugins system, you can pass parameters as part of the string, etc.) at the expense of pushing her potential errors at run time and to put more responsibility on the programmer.

For me, it combines many of the advantages of these two enumerations (strictly typed, change errors) and strings (flexible and scalable), but with the disadvantage of being somewhat less transparent (you understand OO, be comfortable to navigate through a multitude of screws, legacy of understanding, etc.).

  I don't know there are other reasons, others to the breast OR had or seen as we validated models and examples of projects in-house, but here are my reasons. We know that we can not design for each situation there - our goal is to get useful models against new users to make them aware of what well thought LabVIEW programs are similar to experienced users know their applications better and I hope they do not hesitate to change what we provide or create their own designs, when they feel it's necessary. (On a side note, please share what you come up with - a community of experts sharing models would be really useful to us all LabVIEW users).

  The order in the sequence of generation is very important. When I built the correct order, that I was able to correctly generate the package of the project PushCollector and then I could deploy on the device. The sequence is, in case anyone has the same problem:

  -Clean all projects

  -Create a 'pushCollectorCommon '.

  -Create a 'pushCollectorHeadless '.

  -Create a 'pushCollector '.

  -Run 'pushCollector' to the device (I used a Dev Alpha B with 10.2.0.1445, the Simulator does not work)
