  It is not with a single application but with all the new applications I created.
  
  I copied the database to the sample application and I am able to see the data in Excel

• Excel Addin error: you do not have a sufficient access to perform playback

  I've migrated essbase application both shared 11.1.1.3 11.1.2.1 EPM EPM services as well as groups of users filter etc. and also configure MSAD correctly.
  
  MSAD users are able to successfully connect to ESSBASE Administration Services
  
  However when they try to use EXCEL ADDIN it shows that you have not sufficient access to perform playback on this database
  
  Any suggestions, what went wrong.

  Looks like the user/group has entrusted the role of access to the filter of the SSP for an essbase application but did not have all the associated filters.
  Please double check that the filters have been applied in the user/group's Shared Services, just after you have provisioned users/groups and created filters is not enough the association between the two must be applied.

  Not 'easy' as a click or two.  The problem is that you need parents to be above children without changing the actual order of the children (or parents) themselves.  It will take a macro.

  If this is for documentation and you do not want to go that way, I would consider using the function 'Print' at the service of Regional instead of Excel.

• Issue of calculation Excel addins

  Hi team,
  EMP 11.1.2.2 can you please tell me what script (by default) Calc in the worksheet excel Addins? I was under the impression that (by default) calc's ALL CALC. But when I use the script to calc add-ins Excel (default) after locking/sending data of the calc does not work properly and I do not see as expected higher level data.
  
  But when I create a calc script, as mentioned below, and when I use it after locking and send for calculation I see expected results.

  Go to PARTY and do a right-click on the database and select set-> default calculation. It will show you what is on the default calc. If it just says: Calc All; or else replace it with your Calc_All script. It could be that, since by default, there is no intelligent calculation off by default, that might be your problem. • Excel Addin sweater question

  I have the end user through Excel Addin for data FRO Essbase (11.1.1.3). There are values 0 in their sweater, but for some reason, the 0 value becomes text value in their sweater excel (with little gree arrow at the top left of the cell), and this causes the error on their worksheet. This is the first time, we have this problem.

  have they specified 0 as their replacement value of #missing, this would cause the customer, you see. If this is the case, have them replace the 0 (0) that returns a zero digital, but be careful. If they put data into Essbase, you do not want returned zeros

  If you want the main difference between the Excel add-in and smartview I'd say it's just they way it connects and retrieves the data. the add-in uses the grid api and tcpip and smartview uses java on the web. There are a ton of differences between the supplement and smartview, but as the versions come thay are close. Here are a few others can add to the list:

• Retrieve Excel Addin

  We use the Essbase Excel Addin to retrieve the data of the Essbase cube and there are two or three Excel reports have been created, users just need to open the worksheet, connect to Essbase and recover, new data should appear.
  
  However mention of users that there is that no new EEG data not recovered even as it connects the essbase without problem, but the new data does not appear when it hits to recover, I test the sheet and get the same question.
  
  We use Excel 2007. Any idea and suggestion?

  I think I read that differently from the others, so I'll ask a question. Is it that you ask when a spreadsheet is submitted a list of members and that the user performs a search, all that they see is a list of the members, even if additional members have been added to the database?
  If so, it is customer waited. In order to get new members, you will need to start at a higher level on the spreadsheet and to zoom in to assoult new members in the hierarchy.

  We want to display the data by using Smart view and macros, but do not want to change the data from there.

  ^ ^ ^ There is nothing to do. This is the mode of operation of the Planning. Users planning Essbase are read-only. Go check their filters and you will see what I mean.

  Once you go Unicode with a file, it's usually all. There is a utility called essutf8 in Essbase bin that can convert text files and binary (otl and rul) in Unicode format and change the locale. However, it cannot convert to Ascii. Thus, for example, once a schema file made the transformation of Unicode, it is here for good.

  The same is supposed to be valid for text files. That said, I've used TextPad to translate Unicode to Ascii text without problem files successfully. I have never tried on a binary file.

  The essutf8 utility will make backups of your files nonUnicode if you tell him.

  It seems that the convert to is not defined in the technology to Hyperion Essbase.

  Go to-> Manager->-> Hyperion Essbase physical Architecture topology (expand it)-> Data types-> String-> convert to-> under technologies you can see Microsoft Excel as Undefined, select VARCHAR in this menu drop-down.

  Like wise do for Microsoft Excel-> convert to-> Hyperion Essbase, select string drop down as such.

• Adobe forms are supported after 2015

  I don't know if this is the right place to post this question but could not avoid the question.

  Everything started to venture into adobe forms and started working on a few projects. But the rumor is that adobe forms are approaching the end of life and that there will be any form adobe supports after 2015. Statement kind of weird, but I would like to know if it's true. I need to know this, because I need to meet my clients as well.

  What may be confusing you is the period of support for a specific version of the product. Our strategy of support is 5 years of basic support with 2 years of extended support available from the day of the launch of the product shipment to the France.

• What version of Essbase Excel add-in supports 64 bit Windows 7 on our PC?

  (1) someone can tell us what is the latest version of 64-bit supplement Essbase Excel 11.1.1.3.x and this latest version of the Essbase Excel add-in will support 64-bit Windows 7 on our PC?
  (2) we downloaded Essbase excellent complement 11.1.2 and could not connect to the server Essbase 11.1.1.3. It gave an error message - "this version is newer than the Essbase server." Is there a solution? (we hoped 11.1.2 would support windows 7 64 bit)
  
  PS. There is a knowlegebase article that teaches us how to get Smartview 11.1.2 to connect to Essbase. We could not quite follow the badly written artible KB, but Mrs. V support Oracle claims that she was able to connect and she wrote the article.
  We managed to get to connect to Planning 11.1.1.3 Smartview 11.1.2!

  The support matrix, it seems as if it was 11.1.2 that currently support your configuration. (this is not to say other versions would not work they just would not officially supported)
  If you get the version warning message you should be able to just click on ok and always connect and recover from a 11.1.1.3 database.

• Essbase excel error Add on after installing Studio IR.

  Get Essbase excel error add-on ("error 1040007 cannot find message database") after the installation of Studio of Reporting interactive Hyperion 9.3.1. We are able to consistently reproduce the error on several workstations.
