Exchange Server support

Hello

We plan to implement Exchange Server 2016 (on site) in our Organization, so I would know this weather that Microsoft provides support for this or not?

What is the cost of 1 year of support of Server Exchange for 500 users or where I can get the request for quote for support costs?

Waiting for reply as soon as POSSIBLE...

Kind regards

Nikhil

  • Software installed in windows 7 that caused Microsoft exchange server to stop working.

I took off the SW and it wouldn't connect. PC restored to before the installation and it was very good. It doesn't seem to be holding restore point data. The next time I tried to connect remotely, I had to restore again. WHY? This has worked well for years.

I am running Windows 7 64-bit OS. Installed software was for a VOIP virtual phone. When I tried to access the exchange server, nothing happens. I have a white screen. It seems not yet try and connect. I restore the PC to install the software before and everything is good. I do my work and come back later and try and access the server again, and nothing happens. I have to restore again.

I've never had a problem with once restoration has been made, that it 'does' and I have to repeat the process. Does anyone have an idea of ro possible explanation on how to solve this problem permanently?

  • Microsoft Exchange Server Remote Wipe

Hello, I heard that Microsoft Exchange Server can remotely wipe any device that is connected to the Exchange Server. Is this true? Each device that supports Exchange can be destroyed including personal computers with Outlook running? Thanks for the reply

Device here mainly refers to mobile devices such as cell phones, you must save it inside the exhange server to be able to remove it or wipe it. But on the PC or desktop, in this version it will not delete or format your PC.

  • Account Exchange does not authenticate to exchange server with a domain under Windows Surface 3 pro 8.1 user

    Hello

We recently bought a Surface 3 pro from our supplier that has windows 8.1 pre installed (OEM) and I have set up a local user with local administrator rights account, I did windows updates, also activated the account administrator local and then added the device to our area, but I can not set up exchange on the domain user account. I also gave this area local administrator user rights, but it does not check the name on the Exchange Server. It makes the connection to the network, on behalf of the research, but it will not connect to the server. I tried to manually configure upwards, but not luck. When I created this same domain account on a local user with administrator rights, I works very well. I did several times on Windows 7 and never had any problems. Has anyone encountered this problem? Help please.

  • Exchange Server Migration 2000/2003, unity 4.0 (1) (4)

We are running Exchange 2000 in an advertisement in 2000 with the 4.0 unit (1).

Due to some problems with our current Exchange Server, we need to accelerate our migration to Exchange 2003.

We will be upgrading the schema AD 2003 this week, and planned to upgrade Exchange this weekend. I know this will have a direct impact on the unit even after reading the documents to upgrade, I'm not 100% sure to get a grip on that everything must be done to make this a smooth transition.

How the migration will work, we will build a new Exchange 2003 server in the same organization, and then move the mailboxes to that server. We then decomission existing exchange server and build another with his namesake and IP address as a Server 2003 and migrate all the mailboxes back, permanently.

With this double-move in mind, does anyone have any advice, suggestions or traps to help us?

    Thanks in advance.

    Brian

Running Exchange 2003 ForestPrep causes a REFUSAL of ACE appear in each administrative group for the Exchange domain servers group on the 'Servers' container. Assuming that you are using the security model, the permissions wizard puts in place where the unit connects with a domain account that is not in the Exchange domain servers group, you should be fine. But I very well many customers choose to use a method of security home brew or put users in a bunch of unnecessary groups. So as have done you that ForestPrep does not grief of the unit.

Unity 4.0 (3) and later supports Exchange 2003. So I would upgrade to 4.0 (4) of the unit before moving to Exchange 2003. Once you're at 4.0 (4) you just need to upgrade to Exchange 2003 Exchange System Manager and run the latest version of the permissions wizard if you plan to run Exchange 2003 with SP1. You can download that here:

    http://www.ciscounitytools.com/App_PW_403.htm

When you bring the new tipping online server, you must re-run the Configuration Cisco Unity Message Store of add/remove programs and let the unit move the Unity_servername mailbox by choosing a new partner server. You can t just move the mailbox without the cause of the layout of the store Message what unit won t know where to find. Same thing for the what swing you on the new Exchange 2003 server.

    Thank you

  • Integration of State of the 10 blackBerry Exchange Server

    Hi all

I consider changing my work for a BlackBerry phone, but before I do that, I need to know how much BlackBerry 10 OS integrates with an exchange server.

I need to be able to do the usual things like send and receive emails. Sync. my meetings calendar/setup, sync. Notes and reminders etc. It also requires that I can synchronize. contacts.

I can see from these forums exchange integration is built in 10 BB, but how does it work? I'll be able to do everything above?

    Kind regards

    Peter

Hey, check with your IT Department.  BB10 supports ActiveSync.  If your company supports ActiveSync, then you are good to go.  I use activesync and it works fine.  Everything you mentioned works for me, but check first with your company.  Each configuration of exchange is unique.

  • Configuration for the Exchange Server issue

I have a question on an Exchange Server, I noticed that one of my Exchange servers has 4 partitions spanning 2 hard drives and a parition of M which is 55GO, but that does not appear in disk management. M partition contains the domain folder, the mailbox databases are on the D: drive. How will I know how much I really voicemails of disk space? And this configuration is supported?

    Chris

The "M" 'virtual' drive that resides on Exchange (55 additional GB, its representation is not just messages of real exchange located on who will drive you have configured for the mail store).

Another pattern on this drive "M":

The default for this reader is the reader of 'm', but if you manually created a "M" drive before installing Exchange will change to another drive available. It is now recommended to 'disable' this disc.

Run the "Best Practices Analyzer Tool" on the Exchange Server and it will find any question you should change. To turn off virtual drive is one he'll find and indicate what registry entry to change:

  • WRVS4400N hosting Exchange Server

I have a WRVS4400n. I have mail.mondomaine.fr that connects to my external IP address where my server is located. Whenever you goto which is the domain or ip address tries to connect to the router. I have remote mgmt disabled as well. Help?

    Thank you

If you try to connect to mail.mondomaine.fr from inside the company, I'm not surprised, make you the router, but outside you should not get anything if nothing is passed and management is disabled. If this is true, something is wrong.

Now, finally, I have checked that the WRVS does not support several addresses IP WAN, so for your mail server "mail.mondomaine.fr" must be your IP given to you by your ISP. However, once your exchange server is ready and you can access internally, you must transmit TCP 443 and 25 at least to your mail server. Nothing else to do for your typical exchange deployment.

  • Running Exchange Server application of hotfixes and service pack to the server mailbox without loss of data during the restore?

    People,

I would like to know how can I safely ask the Exchange Server service pack or cumulative update for the server role mailbox (no DAG) without loss of e-mail during the downtime and roll back the snapshot?

If I can do the following:

    1. stop all Exchange Server services.

    2. unplug the vNIC on the mailbox server

3 take a snapshot of the virtual machine

    4. apply the service Pack of Exchange Server / Cumulative Update or Windows Update

    5 reset

6 reconnect the vNIC, if the server online with no problem, commit / remove the snapshot, if not, then disconnect the vNIC followed to restore.

would be - this sense being or support for Vmware and Microsoft http://www.vmware.com/files/pdf/exchange-2010-on-vmware-support-and-licensing-guide.pdf ?

If yu have any other suggestions, please let me know here.

    Thanks in advance.

    Hey AlbertWT,

I'll start by saying that I would not do.  Microsoft is explicit that snapshots are not supported with Exchange when virtualized.  See below (from Exchange 2013 Virtualization: help Exchange 2013):

Some hypervisors include features to take snapshots of virtual machines. Virtual machine snapshots capture the State of a virtual machine while it is running. This feature allows you to take several snapshots of a virtual machine and then return the virtual machine to a previous state by applying a snapshot to the virtual machine. However, virtual machine snapshots aren't application aware, and using them can have unintended and unexpected consequences for a server application that manages the data of the State, such as Exchange. Accordingly, making snapshots of the virtual machine to a virtual guest computer Exchange only is not supported.

Even if we ignore the statement of support from shadow copies that isn't always a good idea.  Here are some things to consider.

    (1) cumulative updates for the Exchange to modify the Active Directory schema.  Roll back the snapshot on the mailbox server is not undo changes made to RFA, which could cause functional supported questions.  See this link to give you an idea of how there is pattern AD updates in each CU Exchange and service pack: the Active Directory in Exchange 2013 schema changes: Exchange 2013 help

    (2) it is possible to send to come during the time you test the update, and if you need to restore you would need a plan to retrieve this e-mail.  Third party services may work, or you can prevent the email to come in your environment completely during this period, but these aren't the ideal solutions.

A much better solution would be to create a lab environment that is isolated from the production.  You can either take clones of your Exchange and AD VMs and put them in a closed network environment, or create a laboratory and import the structure of your ad if it matches the production.  I think it is a much better way to test than to try to rely on stereotypes in production.

    Hope that helps!

    Matt
