Exclusive use of a postProcessRenderedPhotos()?

Hello

I have a specific postProcessRenderedPhotos() on an export filter that has no meaning for a specific export service.

Is it possible to have a single export filter that is linked to an export service? It is possible to hide the export filter in the "post-processing Actions:" the list of the user or is it possible to ensure that the required export filter is always enabled?

Thank you

Daniel

Matt Dawson says:

Process shouldRenderPhoto action is designed to take pictures of the queue so that they will not processed/rendered. The way post process actions are triggered ensures that this will happen before the function processRenderedPhotos does his thing.

The shouldRenderPhotos method is designed to export filters can get rid of pictures that need to be "filtered". They run before the method processRenderedPhotos of the export Department, but rendering did not always start when processRenderedPhotos is called - never, on any system, regardless of carrots, or OS, or the moment... Not only is it not contradicted in the documentation it is implicit in the documentation and confirmed by experience.

processRenderedPhotos 'thing' s:

1. Optional: a photosToExport() before rendering iteration has started to look at what that must be rendered as "filtered" by the export of filters and other 'filter' through the removePhotos method, if you want...

2. start rendering and wait for the formats associated with from the rendering engine of lr, export services, through some export filters are in the chain. Note: sourceRendition:skipRender does not remove the rendering of the pipeline, it simply jumps made the filter upstream, or the rendering engine of Lr if any filter upstream and records the fact in the rendering of correspondent.

Matt Dawson says:

As you mentioned in one of the posts using the shouldRender (correction of the DRC: skipRender) to influence this can be a bit tricky.

This was the difficulty:

* You can not ignore the rendering of a photo that has already started (or finished) made up here: you can.

Preview-exporter, I wanted to skip rendering of * all * photos, via the export filter.

The original encoding (which proved to be problematic), wait for unavailable if preview rendering. Then, the problem is that I am not able to skip rendering of other renditions after waiting one. The solution was not to wait to everything - instead, if preview not available, run another task of independent export to make. In this way, all source formats are ignored, and if photo had to be returned, it is made independently under the control of preview-exporter and sent forward in the string as rendition to satisfy. Note: it is the source-rendition being ignored, * not * render-to-satisfy, so a service export or export downstream filters will not see a skipped record.

Matt Dawson says:

My concern at the approach above is it might not be true on all systems (could be a timing issue, influenced by the number of cores etc) and may not be true for all exports. Especially if the post process actions are added for export by the user, since these are supposed to pull in front of the processRenderedPhoto method and could start rendering before you wanted to only it.

It seems to me that don't really understand you the service any export / filter the thing very well. I think that the problems you are concerned about never happen. Export filters cannot blow rendered and Lightroom start made prematurely (without explicit or implicit service export initiation). Of course, all things are subject to change, but that's how it is now.

Matt Dawson says:

You will not have as much control as you think you do.

Obviously, you have to work within the existing design/implementation, but breast of these constraints, there is latitude. After hit against these many constraints in dozens of export services and several implementations of export filter, I have a pretty good idea of how it all works.

  • How to avoid CMO reinstall by OPatch when you use EM Harvester?

Running OEM Grid Control 11 g (11.1.0.1.1GC PSU) on a database of repository infrastructure (11.2.0.1.2). Previously the CMO had installed in every ORACLE_HOME in our environment. I removed all of the existing CMO facilities and Instrumentation of the CMO in each database.

I then installed COM (10.3.3.2.2) in the OMS_HOME in order to start using the harvester EM for all the additions of configuration rather than several CMO installs. It went well, and I started to see targets MOS indicating GC as the source of data rather than the CMO. Good so far.

I then installed PSU 11.2.0.1.3 to the database of repository infrastructure. During the installation of the hotfix, OPatch reinstalled CMO in the ORACLE_HOME without my knowledge database. This caused some targets to reappear in MOS with CMO as a data source. At this point, I had two sets of COM in running processes. I confirmed that the patch caused the CMO reinstall verifying opatch newspapers of $ORACLE_HOME/cfgtoollogs, where I can see the new CMO facility occur.

I then installed patch 9431704 to the MW_HOME/oracle_common ORACLE_HOME to resolve the target "FMW Welcome Page Application" showing down in the matter of the grid control. The patch went well, but new OPatch reinstalled CMO, this time to MW_HOME/oracle_common and MW_HOME/utils. So at this point, I had four sets of COM in the process running, which caused several duplicate targets appear in MOS, with CMO as a data source. Confirmed once again that the session led to the new CMO OPatch installs by reviewing logs of.

I want to exclusively use the EM Harvester to download details of MOS. configuration by the white paper in notes 848962.1 , "The only prerequisites for the use of a system EMGC collect and download configuration to Oracle Support data are the EMGC WHO must be at least version 10.2.0.5 and there must be a configured instance COM (and running in connected mode) home of the Oracle of SGO."

This leads to my question. How can I continue to patch SGD, the repository database and databases target, while preventing the OPatch reinstall CMO in each ORACLE_HOME finds it?

I understand the comment of this white paper to signify that I need only CMO in the OMS_HOME and should never run out of any other ORACLE_HOMEs in our environment. Should I simply allow OPatch install COM anywhere he wants, and then interrupt them by running "$ORACLE_HOME/bin/ccr/emCCR hold? Is there a flag I can include executing "applicable opatch" to tell it jump CMO facility?

I don't think that ORO sends data to MOS if it is in offline mode. Doesn't seem logical to me.

  • I want that on my work machine to require a password to open the portal showing my Thunderbird emails. Is this possible?

I want to check e-mails while I'm at work, but I have not exclusive use of the machine that I use, so I don't want Thunderbird to open at all, without a password.

As it is at the present time, the incoming message headers and Thunderbird Portal are visible when I hit Thunerbired.exe and e-mails can be open, although the account cannot send emails without entering my password (that I didn't save).

I'm sure there must be a simple solution to this issue - but I'm not

It depends on how "strong" you need the protection either, so a 'low' using the ProfilePassword extension method may be enough.

  • Can you have your Local directory on your Google Reader, so that accessibility may be from anywhere?

I would like to have Thunderbird on several computers, but has my Local directory in the cloud, so that my email is accessible from anywhere on any computer that has Thunderbird loaded with access to my Google Reader, so that the same emails in all folders, sent and Inbox can be seen, used, saved and searched?

I think that IMAP is the best solution for sharing of mail between computers stores.

I never recommend or advise to change the Local directory option. This detaches the question of your profile folder and complicates the management and maintenance. If you do this, please do not forget that you did it and mention if you need help.

You can go a bit further and put your entire profile in the cloud. To do this, you must run the same version of Thunderbird on all devices, and all must have the same operating system to avoid problems of path difference and the problems of compatibility of add-on. (Since I use Linux at home but I'm forced to use Windows at work, this avenue is a non-starter for me).

Thunderbird assumes it has the exclusive use of the profile and to this end locks your profile. Changes to the message can come from various actions; user, filters, incoming messages, changes at the level of the server being synchronized etc. The profile of locking, no action of third parties independent can disrupt things. If there is no possibility of simultaneous multiple access to your message store (i.e. using the account from multiple computers at the same time) then get ready for the data loss and corruption.

Setting up a Bank of messages on a Cloud Computing service based is not effective. Default Thunderbird uses the format of the mailbox, where all messages in a folder are stored in one big file contiguous. So a relatively small change, such as the arrival or removal of a message of modest size means the entire file is considered as having been changed, and in general should be towards the top/downloaded in its entirety. I'm not completely sure, but I imagine that maildir storage could operate more effectively in this regard, because each message is stored in a separate file. However, maildir is a new feature in Thunderbird and has apparently some problems, so I can't recommend for general use yet.

Yes. If you want access to read and write for Windows use one of these FAT: MS-DOS (FAT) or ExFAT. For exclusive use on a Mac, use OS X extended (journaled) or (logged, Encrypted).

  • Ghost 12.04.119 stars - how to remove?

I do not know what causes ghost star in the first place, but in the previous version of iTunes, it was pretty easy, so laborious, to get rid of them.

There is a drop-down list at the top right of the window that allows you to choose to display in songs, album, playlist (and a few others I don't remember now). I would then choose to display greyed out by album stars and then drag it to 0 stars. Then, he would give only the songs I'd actually gave stars to the stars.

This option is now gone, and I don't see a way to remove the stars of ghost.

This is a problem for me because I almost exclusively use stars to separate my smart playlists, and full albums keep appearing in it when I want only simple songs.

    Can anyone help?

    Don't worry - I found it now.

In case anyone else has this problem:

As stated here - an album has several songs with stars greyed:

To highlight one of the songs with stars greyed out. Navigate in the top left of the screen and click on album (1st circle) - this will display all the songs on this album.

Then go to the stars for the full album (circle 2) and drag this back to zero and the ones you actually gave stars to keep their stars.

  • Help!  Large iTunes library split into two locations, how to fix?

Long ago, I told iTunes to store its iTunes Media on a NAS file and I copied the iTunes folder all my D: to the NAS unit.  I also said iTunes to keep organized records and copy files of music added to the NAS.

I just found out by examining the XML file that iTunes thinks about half of my music files (~ 7,000 of them) are located on the D: drive and other ~ 7 000 are there where I want it all, on the NAS.  Number of files on the NAS which I however contained artist/album music files are empty; the files appear to have been erased and are still on the D: drive where the XML points to them.  Management of iTunes files (XML. ITL, etc..) iTunes is now current are also on the D: drive... those on the NAS are not kept up to date.

I thought my massive library - countless hours to rip my CD - safe on the multi-plate RAID NAS.  Goes, if I lose my D: drive (which I was backup is no longer) I lose half of my library and all of my iTunes administrative folders.  Ouch!

How can I get safely iTunes exclusively use the SIN for all the data files and of the administration?

If I re - copy data from D: to the NAS and edit the XML file to point to the NAS for all files, iTunes will not even watch D: for the management of the library?  How can I do forget d everything?

Thanks in advance for any help.

By modifying the file XML will not help at all - iTunes only writes to this file, the bed ever.  Assuming that all of your media plays correctly then you should be able to consolidate your library (file > library > organize library > consolidate files).  This will copy all the multimedia files that are not in the iTunes media folder location specified in Edit > Preferences > advanced to this location.  Note, however, that many reports suggest that iTunes + SIN is not an ideal combination; You can be better to use a standard external drive for your library and use the NAS device for backups.  You can also watch the advice to user turingtest2 on do a split cell library for more details on the optimization of available to your library.

  • Deleted but iPhoto library not disk space

    Hi guys,.

-I'm on a Macbook pro with an upgrade end 2011 1 TB SSD (Crucial) on El Capitan

    - and just deleted my old iPhoto library (which was 420 GB) and emptied the Recycle Bin

-Unfortunately has no free space, my photo library is 440 GB and the size of the Pictures folder has reduced 880 GB 460 GB

    - BUT my SSD (drive) is always also shows 120 GB of free space only. When I emptied the Recycle Bin only about 20 GB released instead of 420 Go

    I've tried so far:

-waiting for Finder to catch up

    -empty the trash again

    -restart

--redemarrer reboot into recovery mode, run disk utility, first aid

-tried to copy a 200 GB file on the SSD drive to check if the space is truly free, showing everything simply does not, but he said not "enough space on the SSD.

All suggestions and help very welcome!

    Thank you

    Daniel

    It's exactly what you expect.

While iPhoto and the report of libraries of Photos using 400 concerts or more, it has the same 400 concerts. The two libraries called the original photos of their own through Unix hard links and share a few minor elements. So, screw up the iPhoto Library recovered space that was exclusively used by iPhoto only.

Photos saves disk space to share images with your iPhoto or Aperture - Apple Support libraries

  • GPU on the 15 "2015 model

    Hello

I currently have a Macbook Pro 2.4 end 2011, and thought to be replaced by a new model.

Sometimes I use my Macbook for some games (LoL, WoW and stuff like that), as well as for work.

My current Macbook contains the AMD Radeon HD 6770 M and Intel HD Graphics 3000, and I was wondering how the 2.2 GHz 15 "2015 model performs with games, since it contains only the Integrated GPU?

    / Christoffer

Only the 2.5 GHz model and have up to a dual GPU configuration, which includes also 2 GB of VRAM dedicated to the exclusive use of the AMD Radeon R9 M370X high-performance GPU so he doesn't have to fight the CPU for more information. While the new integrated Intel Iris Pro 5200 which is supplied with all models is an improvement on the old Intel HD Graphics 3000, which came in the end MBP 11 (I have one too, am trying to transition to a Mid 15 15 "2.5 GHz MBP), it will not hit someone socks and suffers the same issues shared VRAM all mono-GPU models have. At least all models 15 "get 16 GB of RAM, in these screams last models of the No.-upgradeables-inside sealed.

For this reason even if you plan staying on the Mac platform, better kill the piggy bank and get the largest model you she can train is all you will get to the end of his days. Not to put in a bigger HARD drive, add more RAM, etc. (I mine hit by default 4 GB to 16 GB). Also since any "service" implies to replace all this, consider getting AppleCare to extend the warranty to 3 years. Do not need to buy it outright with the Mac, but must be bought and activated in the basic 1 year warranty period. See here: http://www.apple.com/shop/product/MD012LL/A/applecare-protection-plan-for-macboo k-pro

Edit: an idea... Install Cody Krieger's gfxCardStatus on your Mac 11 and use it to force the GPU integrated single operation. Which allows to test your games. If they do not work OK, they probably don't work well on the mono-GPU 15 model either.

  • HP SimplePass 2012 and Firefox 8

After finally getting a very good version of Firefox SimplePass 2012 (v5.3.1.7) upgrade to version 8 and disabled the extension "TrueSuite logon Web site" so now I'm stuck without SimplePass again. Are there updates available in the near future?

    Dragon fur,

You are quite welcome and thank you for your understanding in the world of the HP support. I agree with your comments on this forum, it has been my 'Saving Grace' for my HP support issues, there is a lot of information in this forum and I will definitely use it for a long time to come.   I exclusively used HP for my laptop and printers and I feel they are the best available regardless of the media scufful.  I always use SimplePass v5.4.0.620 without any problem. IE9, Firefox 13 and even Chrome 20 work well with it, so I think I'll send you Kudo and close this post. Although I wish no problems... I will look forward to see again you in another post in the future.

  • Manage problems with USB 3.0

Recently, a new technology was developed, and now many desktop computers and laptops are moving to the use of USB 3.0 ports. Some computers use a mix of the old USB 2.0 and new ports of 3.0, and some have moved to exclusively use the new port type.

USB 3.0 is usually indicated by this symol

And these ports can look like this:

You'll notice that they all have the symbol of USB 3.0, and several times you will also find that the port itelf is blue.

As some users on this forum have noticed when they connected their printers to one of these new ports to which they were subjected some compatibility problems (computers stops suddenly, blue screens, artifacts in printing). But sigh no more, by means of tests of this issue and due to a push by Intel correction - there are a few tricks to fix this!

First a note: for users of Windows 8 question should have to be set through the operating system automatically, reducing the affected machines mainly Win7, Vista, and XP computers.

One thing that I noticed the work with a colleague, Jason, is that the problem does that happen with the in-OS software (or the software of the printer that installs automatically when you connect the USB cable). For this driver, the Intel patch should solve any problems that you may encounter related to this issue. Here is the link for this update:

    http://Downloadcenter.Intel.com/Detail_Desc.aspx?DwnldID=21129

Another easy solution to this problem is to go to the HP (www.hp.com/support ) website and looking for the driver software. In our tests, we have not known all the compatibility issues that pilots OS with full adjustment software. This may mean that you need to uninstall an earlier version of the software and install the latest HP has to offer.

Or the other of these two methods must ensure to have the largest amount of compatibility with the new USB 3.0 ports.

Let me know if it helps!
