ExpandPath to a question from mapped drive

We have an intranet site with a page that is controlled by an XML file. Now the XML file is located on the root web. I wanted to see if I caould have mapped the XML file on a drive. It-mistake the path below.

("< cfset CoolXmlFile = ExpandPath("Y:/COOP/Metwatch/modify/bk1.xml ") / >

< cffile action = "read" file = "" #CoolXmlFile # "variable ="input_xml"/ >"

Here is the error. for some reason, it puts a slash in...?

An error occurred during the execution of a file read operation the C:\wwwroot\Layout\FrontPage\bk1\Y:\COOP\Metwatch\modify\bk1.xml file.

The origin of this exception: java.io.FileNotFoundException: C:\wwwroot\Layout\FrontPage\bk1\Y:\COOP\Metwatch\modify\bk1.xml (the file name, directory name or volume label syntax is incorrect).

Make sure that file permissions are just...  You will need to pass CF through a connection to the domain in the properties of the service to get the shit UNC for work.

Hi, I realize windows 7 pro is limited to 20 concurrent connection from there via SMB normal network. I have about 18 PC to access a share on another windows 7 pro, this should be OK, but I have a problem. On 3 of the conneting in client computers to share, they have 2 connections assessing the same proportion. 1. the user account 2. The computer account (computername$). I need to know how I can stop this computer account to access the share. The funny thing is the other 15 PC connect only the user account is logged on. All the PC client are windows 7 pro, so I don't see why the machine account connects as well have another session on just 3 computers. This brings us on the 20 connection limit so there's a problem and stop a connection. I think it might be the computer account he analyzes for the indexing of files to search for or something but I'm not sure how or what it is and how to stop it. Any advice would be appreciated greatily.

  • Mapped drives are not available. Machines inaccessible area. Can ping from command prompt.

    Hello

Working in a Windows domain.  Have a 150 machines in the field.  Now, a single machine seems to have lost the authority to communicate.  This machine was a member of the domain for more than a year and has gained access to these places and several times of the mapped drives.  It's a user's machine, so not sure what may happen before this started.

At the moment the machine is connected to the network.  I can browse internet fine (internet accessed through the default gateway).  At the command prompt I can ping machines on the domain by ip or name.  Both work very well.

Can I use remote desktop to connect to other computers on the domain.

What I can't see all the drives mapped or access the domain computers via Windows Explorer.  When I try to access a mapped drive (accessible by everyone) I gat an error message.  "The location is not available.

When I try to select a machine in the field of windows Explorer I get 'open folder '.  \\XXXXX is not accessible.  You might not have permission to use this network resource.  Contact the administrator of this server to find out if you have access permissions.  The specified network provider name is invalid.

Tried this as multiple users.  Not the specific profile.  Tried under the Domain Admin and get the same error.

Search error messages and found many solutions.  None worked.

  • Error in saving one. PDF file to a mapped drive

The issue I'm having is similar to who that is on this older post. http://forums.Adobe.com/message/3066663#3066663

The question is this. I have a small business on 15 users divided into two or three departments with different needs network access. They each Adobe Acrobat version XI installed on a Windows 7 platform. Each user has a set of mapped drives that correspond to their Department. Drive mappings are all the main network (SIN) shared storage device. At any time, there can be a number of PDF files that are open and under development. The same PDF is usually not open at the same time in two different places.

The problem is that two users who make a large amount of work, IE. Scanning documents and in them en les ajoutant adding to documents that were created previously, report the same issue. The question is when they have the PDF open and they are adding new content. Once new content is added they want to save the document, and then the following error:

'The document could not be saved. Unable to save this file name. Please save the document under a different name or in a different folder. »

To save the file, the user must use check-in function and then navigate to the location of the original file to save the document with the changes that have been made.

As well as the above error, we noticed that Adobe Acrobat is when you rename the file that was changed to aae # or # or aan aak #. The name of the file is changed causing normal except the function does not properly.

Is there a reason that acrobat would do that?

I do not use Microsoft SharePoint.

My users have begun to encounter this problem for files on network also shares well when Adobe Reader has been updated to 11.0.10

It has to do with protected mode.  I don't know if he was turned off by default, & now it's on with the update, but turn off changes in behaviour of Adobe Reader back to what users expect - a guest to warn you if you want to replace the existing file, and then click Yes to replace.

    To disable the Protected Mode:

    Start Adobe Reader

Edit - Preferences - security (enhanced)

Uncheck the enable Mode at startup protected

    Close preferences & proximity reader

Now, open a file from a network share & save you Adobe as it used to.

  • Remove a mapped drive

I have successfully mapped to a network drive on my laptop (Toshiba Satellite running Vista w / SP2). I could read and write to the disk until I restarted my computer. On reboot, Vista said that it was "could not reconnect all network drives" or something like that. My problem is identical to the problem described here: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/960646 I downloaded the fix, but I was told "the update does not apply to your system.  I went through the forum, and it seems that the problem is that Vista is looking for the mapped drive before you connect to the internet (a fall from a wireless network) and I want to remap the drive, but uncheck the "Reconnect at logon" option, but I can't find out how to remove the mapped drive (I have actually 2 instances of it). I looked through the forum and I'm missing somewhere. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    SM

Very well. Too bad. I feel so stupid now. I click right on the drive, and selected 'disconnect' and he removed the drive. I swear, I had tried that before and it didn't work. I don't know if it was restart the computer or something, but it worked. Thanks for your help anyway

  • The mapped drives disappear after logoff or restart.

I can not get a mapped drive to stay mapped after a logoff in Windows 7.  If I map the drive by right clicking post work or the command prompt (net use f: \\sharename / persistent: Yes), once the user disconnects or restarts, the players disappear.

This occurs only for Windows 7 users.  We have no problem with users under XP.  Someone has an idea?  I tried to connect with different user names, disabling firewall of 3rd party client, disable UAC, etc..

    Hi CSholmire,

Please let us know your concern.

I suggest you the methods below. Try these and find the question after each method:

    Method 1:

    1. Open a command prompt as the user that readers are not remembered. Do not use the option "Run as Administrator". In this case, we are unwilling to do this. At the command prompt, type: net use
    2. Does say something like this: use C:\>net. New connections will not remember.
    3. If it is said that they "don't remember", then you need to change this. Type: use net p:yes

That change the setting of the system for the user to perform the workouts be remembered all the time and the will is the default action.

If the above is not the case, then map the drive through the command prompt and see if the mapping is known.

    NET use p:yes

    NET use r: \\servername\sharename

You can change the drive letter a: above to any letter free as you like. However, remember that if you use a letter that is too close to the beginning of the alphabet you can overlap with the USB devices and then one or the other will be absent. You can replace the r: with * and it will start with the next free drive letter starting at the bottom of the alphabet. This should make the reader remember through log and restart.

    Method 2:

The long-term solution is a registry editing that would get the mapped drives visible to standard and administrative sessions.

    1. Press Windows + R and type: regedit
    2. In Regedit, navigate to HKLM/SOFTWARE/Microsoft / / Windows //Current Version / / policies / / system.
    3. Create a new REG_DWORD entry named "EnableLinkedConnections".
    4. Set the value to 1.
    5. Restart after you add the registry entry and the programs will be able to see the drives mapped forever.

Note: This section, method, or task contains steps that tells you how to change the registry. However, serious problems can occur if you modify the registry incorrectly. Therefore, make sure that you proceed with caution. For added protection, back up the registry before you edit it. Then you can restore the registry if a problem occurs. For more information about how to back up and restore the registry, click on the number below to view the article in the Microsoft Knowledge Base: 322756 (http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/322756/fr/ )

  • User account locked access to the executable file on a mapped drive to a pc

    I have a windows 7 64 bit pc.

I mapped drives that I have used for years.

Now, 1 mapped drive on this pc, my account is locked when I try to run an executable file. I can connect to other PCs and it is not a problem. I don't have any credentials stored on my pc. I rebooted, removed from the computer from the domain and readded. I checked the server when the actions are (logged in as myself) and can run executable files. It is a problem on this pc for this drive. Even if I use the full path in windows Explorer, my account locked with incorrect password.

Any ideas on where to find the next?

The executable is probably attempting to access a shared resource using the incorrect credentials. You would examine its inner workings in detail, for example by checking his profile files and registry keys, in order to know what it is.

  • Network mapped drive with hidden server path

    Hello everyone,

Can you show me the code to do this:

Instead, we have more than 10 data sharing server folders.

What I want to do is, I mapped in any car as a name: O, P, Q, etc... I wrote a command line of mapped drive 10 network as follows:

NET use drive: \\server name\Share name

    Ex:

    NET use H: \\abc\accounting

After we have run this batch file, we will get the result like this:

    Accounting (\\abc) (h)

My prefer is I want a network mapped as this form:

    Computerized (h :))

I heard that, VBScript can do, you can let write me the code?

Not really a consumer level question, huh?  A TechNet or just different Google search problem.

When I delete from a mapped drive, that they do not go to the Recycle Bin, the bin files, but they do when deleting the C: drive unmapped. • Contents of the zip file of the extraction error UNC or mapped drive

In the last two days, I noticed an error in Windows Explorer zip file management. During the extraction of multiple files or folders to a zip file directly on a UNC or mapped drive letter, files Wizard previews only 2-3 "extract all files" - i.e. the extraction is incomplete. Using copy and paste in the Explorer window showing the zip to a different window of the Explorer showing the UNC/mapped drive destination also translates incomplete extraction of the archive, but it's a different set of 2 or 3 files that are extracted.  Extraction of the zip on a hard drive works correctly.

    Steps to reproduce the problem:

    1. open the zip files containing multiple files/folders in Windows Explorer.
    2. use "extract all files" or copy and paste the entire contents of zip archive to a UNC path or mapped network accessible drive.
    3. review the location target of extraction: only 2-3/folder files have been extracted.

4 subsequently repeats steps 1-2 will add files to the location of the target at a speed of 0 to 3 files per race.
    Any suggestions to fix this?

  • cannot select a mapped drive on select the database window

I use virtual XP mode in Windows 7.    Under XP, I am able to map a drive G: that comes from Win 7 mapped drive (Microsoft Terminal Services).  Great, in Explorer, you can see the mapped drive.  I need to set up an ODBC connection to a database on this disc.  No problem, I thought.  When I need to select a drive in the select the database window, I do not see this drive only A:, C:, D:, the default value for readers, G: is not displayed.

Is this a bug or is this normal?  I did something wrong?

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Thank you

    I finally solved it.

I've got a hold of our network knowledgeble person and have been able to connect a network drive.  It was enough to format another/prefix in the login window.  Then I set up an ODBC for the Access database.

It seems that virtual XP does not meet tsclient, so had to use windows normal mapping.

    Another problem solved!
