  c. press Ctrl + Alt + Delete and

  d. Select "start Task Manager".

  5. If still no luck, try disabling the screen saver when you run Disk Defrag (you should very well leave the system only when running the built-in defragmentation utility).

  I sent my laptop repair HP. They replaced some cables and motherboard, but it does not solve the problem. They finally replaced the Windows 7 operating system. Basically they gave me a new system. I spent 3 days to update windows with all the updates and then re-loading of my programs. What a mess!

  Try disabling graphics hardware acceleration. As this feature has been added to Firefox, it has gradually improved, but there are still some problems.

  Note that your list of details of the system shows that you have a user.js file in the profile folder to initialize prefs each time you start Firefox.

• Windows Vista's sleep mode after 20 minutes while playing PC games even though my power settings are set to NEVER.

  Windows sleeps only during the performance of PC games (not all PC games, sometimes with Call of Duty 2 but not with FIFA 07).

  When I installed win7 32 bit, wanted to optimize for performance, I have so I made the changes and turn off thumbnails view and cache. But yesterday, I wanted to turn on again them and that's... the problem appeared: first of all, I have disabled in the policy editor options to disable cached inches and visualization (restarted PC). Then to my computer > organize > Folder Options > view but there is no wtf to "always show icons, never thumbnails" option? I tried to turn it on through advanced system settings but when I checked and applied 'show thumbnails instead of icons'... anything at all... I opened to new advanced system settings and "Show thumbnails instead of icons" is unchecked. I tried everything... restore point before optimizing, restore registry, cleaning thumbs hide with disc cleaner, etc, and I had no success. ;

  I recommend the methods are:

  Method 1:

  According to the tab under organize, there is a default restore tab. This option restores the default option.

  Method 2:

  Run the SFC (System File Checker) on the computer scan to fix system errors to the file on the computer.
  To run a SFC scan, follow these steps:
  Open an elevated command prompt. To do this,

  i. click on Start ,

  II. click on all programs ,

  III. click Accessories , right-click command prompt ,

  IV. and then click on run as administrator.

  v. If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password, or click allow or continue.

  VI. at the command prompt, type sfc/scannow and press to enter. Once the scan is complete, restart the computer so that the changes take effect

  I see by your post that the printer turns off, even if it is set to never in the print driver since the update of the firmware of the printer. I would like to help you today.

  I build a sort of "community events" webapp for a customer - users will be able to submit an event - will be moderated or approved by the customer. I am stuck on two things...

  They are both in the «Web app entry form»

  I'm trying to set the expiration date for the day after the event - the only option seems to be never expire many days - I know I could write a small script that figures on the number of days between now and the event, add - it and insert it into the reference field days, but y at - it an easier way?

  Secondly, when the webapp items are displayed on a page I need them to show the event which is closer to happening thanks to the event that is the furthest away - list by date will show by date of creation, which is not what I want. I was hoping to set the weight to the date of the event - IE 20121020 - for 20 October 2012 - but it is not an option for the weight on the «Web app entry form» Any thoughts?

  Hey Pat,

  Regarding the first question - I'm afraid that the only way to set the expiration date is to add the current date X days, so calculate the number of days between the date you want the item expires, and the current time is the way to go here.

  As for the second question, I am afraid that there is no 'easy' way around this, weight values can be assigned by the front-end server, so sorting is limited to the default options (date, datereverse, in alphabetical order and so on). Somehow, I'd see what happens is as follows

  -define a layout that makes all the webapps

  -using the js convert the date of the event in milliseconds and hide events that you do not want to display

  There are a few potential performance issues with this approach, if you need to display a large number of elements (with photos, for example) the system will load everything every time and then hide those falling outside of the desired range.

  A more complicated way to make elements specific webapp would be to create a 'light' layout list containing only the URL and scope of event date (this should load fairly quickly to the top) and then using ajax load only the necessary elements in the page. I advise you to use this approach in case you encounter performance problems caused by the 'detail' of the webapps load layout.

  I have experience with Remote Desktop connections. The mstsc ALWAYS brings me credentials, even though I put this box.

  I already deleted the related authorities in 'manage your credentials', without effect.

  Please help me to fix it if possible.

  I had this problem when I don't put the box at first only during the second or third attempt connection. The credentials are not saved on subsequent attempts; If I did the first time I create a connection. FWIW, I've always thought that my anti-virus has been an overreaction, and I learned the connection is set correctly the first time.

  1. I now use the following method to configure a new remote connection and it performs exactly as I want it.
  2. Open Notepad as an administrator.
  3. Open %SYSTEMROOT%\System32\Drivers\Etc\Hosts (it's a file without an extension, not a folder)
  4. Put in a new entry at the bottom as for example
     192.16.1.1 MyNewConnection
  5. Save the Hosts file and close Notepad.
  6. Open Remote Desktop connection to a blank entry.
  7. Use MyNewConnection as the computing: .
  8. Click to Display the Options , and then set the username and check allow me to save credentials.
  9. Fix whatever it is also desirable as the display or local resources.
  10. Click connection and provide the password.

  This should be good for new connections. If you absolutely have to reset the options on an old connection, try to run Remote Desktop connection as an administrator for the elevated permissions necessary to reset the credentials option.
