I googled this file pofusido.dll and it could be caused by a virus.

I would suggest that you disable the restore mode as viruses use it to reinstall set apart them.

    Original title: download error

    Hello

Thanks for posting your query in the Microsoft Community Forums.

It seems that you have problems with downloading files on the windows vista computer.

The description of the problem seems a little unclear and I wish I had a better understanding before you start working on it. I would appreciate if you can help me with the following information.

    1. what browser you use on the computer?

    2. What is the exact full error message?

    3. don't you make changes on the computer before this problem?

    4. deal with this problem if you try to download all files from online?

If you do this in the face of Internet Explorer help, I suggest that you should change the default download location and check if it helps.

    Method 1

In internet explorer, you can change the default location.

    Here's how:

    a. open internet explorer.

    b. click on Tools , then select view downloads.

    c. downloads for window, click Options.

    d. now, enter the default download location and click on the OK button.

Turn on the computer at the beginning of boot and check if the problem persists.

    Method 2

Perform a clean boot to see if no third-party service is causing the problem.

To help resolve the error and other messages, you can start Windows by using a minimal set of drivers and startup programs. This type of boot is known as a "clean boot". A clean boot helps eliminate software conflicts.

Note: follow step 3 to reset the computer to start as usual after the boot process.

  • Windows intrusion 10 updates on the Windows 7 computer

The last two weeks, my Windows 7 computer was flooded with Windows strange looking (without specifying which version) update alerts. I decided that these are for Windows 10 I did not. When I look at ' Check for Updates ' I see this "your Windows 10 upgrade is ready" looking at me. I don't want to install Windows 10 in the near future. How can I avoid these alerts to upgrade Windows 10 out of my computer?

    Duke.

I am pleased that everything is resolved.

Personally, I think there you said strange things - KB3035583 is the application GWX [the thing that first prepared to obtain updated Windows 10].  Looks like it went through the manual procedure to clear the queue to update [Windows Update problems resolution is 90%, but it could have been something in the other 10% causing the problem].  I've lived all this manually myself and it's a pain in the neck; someone else to do instead is a very wise move.  I hope that wasn't cheap.

I think you should go to the altered registry key just to see if she is still there so you will know where you stand.  You open the application on your computer called RegEdit then go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\GWX [every bit appears in RegEdit, just as folders appear in Windows Explorer].

If you do not change your mind about the update of Windows 10 then do so well before July 29.  Offer ends this day so any upgrade must be activated before this day complete and 10 Windows [or that date itself, MS have not been clear on this detail].  I do it in the first week of July because in August, the activation of MS servers took a week to accept new activations [presumably they were overloaded] and the same delays could happen again, in the run-up to the deadline.

The reason why that I'm upgrading to Windows 10 on my other computer [Windows 7], it is that I have every reason to expect to last beyond January 14, 2020.  At this time, Windows 7 drops support.  All new "vulnerabilities" that are discovered will be corrected not and Windows 7 will quickly become dream of a hacker.  So it would not be safe a Windows 7 can connect to internet after this date.

I use Windows 10 on this computer since the start of the development phase and have managed to tame most of its annoying habits.

The method of lowest stress for the execution of the update is download an installation file, use it to create a USB/DVD system, then it executes as a 'repair installation' {also called an "In-Place upgrade"}.  I can give you links to download and instructions page to do all this if you post to this thread when the time comes.

Because we exchanged messages on this topic, it appears at the top of my list of activities if a new message arrives on it so that I know if you have new questions.

So that's it.  All the best,

    Denis

  • Networking Windows 7 and a Windows 98 computer

Since the update to my Windows Vista computer to Windows 7, I can no longer communicate with an old Windows 98 computer I connected. I've assigned and IP for the Windows 98 computer and I've added to the list of networks on my Security Center Firewall (McAfee), as has been suggested as a possible solution.  It did not work.

I need to be able to have the old Windows 98 computer on my home network for what one might consider a stupid reason (I've got an older scanner on this computer and large enough files that create scanners are also difficult to transfer to the new computer.  The new scanner has stopped working after only a year and a half because of what HP calls irreparable electronic failure, so I use the old scanner on a Windows 98 computer for which the software was never updated for XP/Vista/7.

The Windows 7 computer see the network connection, but that is as far as things go. How can I get Windows 7 and Windows 98 computers to see and talk to each other?

    alanr

Short answer: can not be done. You can access shared folders in Win98 to Windows 7 computer, but not the reverse. Scan on, one after the other using file transfer. You cannot use a Windows 7 Homegroup to connect this way, you must use the standard file sharing and printers (as in the working groups). Create an account on the Windows 98 computer that has the same user name and password for an account on the Windows 7 computer. Set up as usual on the Windows 98 file sharing computer and assign it to the same workgroup name that the Windows 7 computer use. It should then appear in a Windows 7 network and allow you to access shared folders Win98. You can see the computer Windows 7 from Windows 98, but you will not be able to access.
All confirmed as true, but - WHY?

Windows 7 keeps shoving homegroup into my face, as if all of the computers on the planet he runs.
This is the notion of a network is damaged. The idea of a network is to share resources.
After the days of violin which he inserted - PC after the name, I gave him, used for the first HOUSE as my location, then lost, has created a homegroup, when I never requseted it. Or simply behaving badly HURT.
I was finally able to get the computer to windows 7 in the same workgroup as my other computers.
It STILL shows it as connetion: internet! Stupid _...
And now when I try to access is no longer an error, but asks for a password.
My normal response to this is (Hit Enter Key - i.e. 'none' on well behaved systems.)
I wonder what Windows 7 by default?
No matter, the machine and the operating system will return to the store.

My Windows 7 computer is not find wireless networks after I did a system restore. It was perfectly good wifi before the system restore and other members of my family have a great connection except me is not a problem with my router. I think I know what the problem is, but I just don't know how to fix it. So there you go. I did my restore system about 2 days after that we moved on the provider of internet/tv "Comcast" to the tv/internet provider "Verizon". what I think has happened, is that I restored my computer to the point when we had no Verizon so that he could not find the network. Now, since we have Comcast it won't identify this network either, so maybe some of you out there could help me. : D

  • AoE3 does not work on my Windows 7 computer

AoE3 and the expansion of the WarCheifs used to work perfectly on my Windows 7 computer, but recently, when I try to run the game, it begins to run (Ocwa logo appears on the screen), but then Windows tells me that it was an error and the program must close and just takes back me to my office. I already tried to uninstall and reinstall the two programs (and install the patches available on the Web site of the AoE), but it still does not work. What happened and how can I solve this problem?

    Hello

I imagine the inconvenience that you have experienced, but don't worry, we are here to help solve the problem and guide you in the right direction.

To help you to propose measures to solve the problem, I would appreciate if you could answer the following questions:

    1. you have any antivirus installed on the computer program?

    2. are you aware of any recent software or hardware on the computer changes?

You can update the display drivers and check if it helps. You can also try to run the game in compatibility mode and check.

If the problem persists, you can start the computer in a clean boot state and check if it helps. Clean boot helps eliminate any conflict of third party software.

Check if you are able to run the game. If the game works well if you have some incompatible software that could be causing the problem.

Note: when you are finished troubleshooting, follow step 3, mentioned in the article to start the computer to a normal startup.

Hope this information was helpful and let us know if you need help in the future about Windows. We will be happy to help you.

  • Firefox will always be a way course surf the web using a Windows XP computer after that leaves Microsoft support Windows XP?

Windows XP is still my favorite operating system, but Microsoft will give up support in the coming days. If I understand correctly, shortly after which using Windows Internet Explorer to surf the web on a computer running Windows XP (or can) make the computer vulnerable to piracy. It will be the same for the use of Mozilla Firefox on a computer that is running Windows XP?
I think I saw an ad for Google Chrome with that they would continue to support the browser for use on a Windows XP computer. I think that Google said they would keep releasing patches to secure the Chrome. Can anyone confirm that and more importantly, is Mozilla Firefox secure? Also, should I uninstall Internet Explorer on my Windows XP computer when leaving Microsoft support?

Note - I am posting this with a newer computer that works under Windows 7 64-bit.

Firefox will continue to work with Windows XP. At best, in the near future, I could see the required configuration to encountered to Windows XP with Service Pack 3 (obligation is SP2 for now). Security in Firefox patches are the same, regardless of the version of Windows you are using.

Keep in mind that without security updates, the operating system itself will be precarious. What browser and software security that you use will not change.

Internet Explorer is a component of the system, and you should not attempt to remove it in Windows Vista and lower. From Windows 7, there's a way of kind of uninstall from the control panel.
