Export business rule

Hello all-

I'm trying to export business rules using the Regional service. I chose the business rule export & checked on the rule that I wanted to export. My EAS client is blocked and I don't know if it still works on it. I threw another EAS client to check if I can

See anything in sessions, but I do not think that so that it shows anything in sessions if we export the rules that they are not stored in the Essbase database. Does anyone know how to follow the process of exporting the business rule? I'm on

9.3.1 planning.

Thanks in advance

If there are a quite a few rules of business and dependents involved such as exporting variables can take some time.
If you look in the Task Manager you should see the customer of EAS with CPU, I saw big exports take hours on 9.3
I don't expect to take a long time if it is a rule

See you soon

I wonder if there is a way to export business rules to XML automatically via the command prompt (instead of do it manually through the Console of Regional service).

  • 11.1.2.3.700 Calc manager - cannot open business rules in IE11 but can in Firefox

Updated 11.1.2.3.500 to 700 for the IE11 support.

    I installed the following hotfixes:

    1 20675028 - SSP

    2 20612400 - workspace

    3 20643564 - hyperion Planning

    4 20929659 - architect EPM (foundation server)

    6 20768325 - statement and analytical framework

    7. 21240419 - ADF MLR

I deleted the directory tmp and cache on servers managed and the Planning0 and calcmgr0

    (Oracle\Middleware\user_projects\domains\EPMSystem\servers\CalcMgr0)

    History/cache deleted my Internet Explore.

When I go to the calculation Manager and try to open any business rule of calculation Manager I receive the following informational message: "Please try to reload the component script again." When you click on 'OK' I do not see any text in the business rule. (See attachment)

I can run the business rules of the application of planning successfully and I can see them under "Shared Services" and import/export business rules.

Calculation of the Manager process runs on the server, the logs show no errors in the Oracle\Middleware\user_projects\epmsystem1\diagnostics directory

Tried to search for the message but could not find anything about this message.

    Any suggestions?

OK, I think I understand what is happening, I noticed a difference between the user interface in your screenshots and it seems that you disabled for calc Manager ADF.

You will be able to confirm is that you run a report of registry and it will have a BINDOWS_ENABLED = true for the CALC_MANAGER_PRODUCT property

If I pass the ADF to bindows so I see the same problem, is there a reason you do not run ADF mode?

  • Migration of business rule

    Gurus,
I have a question about the migration of the Ros.
11.1.2.1 is, and I have some BRs in my planning application.
I want to migrate the BRs from one environment to another.
To do this, can I export business rules from the source (by right-clicking on the node RULES of business in environmental assessments) and then import them into the EAS target environment. If so, is it specific anyhthing I need to follow, for example any file system to save it or I can save anywhere, etc. like this.
And what I need to do something after I import business rules?
    Any suggestion would be great.
    Thank you

If you go this route, you just need to make sure that you select the rules and dependants and save in an xml file, the in your import target the return XML in.
It is also possible to migrate using LCM, so choose the method you prefer.

  • Error during migration of business rules

While trying to use the import/export option in environmental assessments to migrate business rules, we encountered an error.
The export went very well. When you try to import, it says this: (even if it allows me to select the xml file suitable for import)
Error during migration of business rules.
Detail: The import file specified is not a valid trade rules xml file. Import ends.
Details: Exception occurred. Please check your log file for more details.

I'm sure I used the inherent format to export business rules.
The old and new systems are version 11.1.2.

The LCM method has failed also to the migration of business rules.
    Any suggetions?
    Thank you
    Elkaïm

When you export make them sure you don't have "For Calc Mgr" checked, if you then import with failure.

  • The behavior of business rule when you deploy a new version

    Hi Experts,

My client is using bpm11g, they asked when you deploy a new version of bpmn process with build-in the business rule, what will happen to the existing and update of the composer?

The old rule will be updated with the new version or will be preserved as it was? If the latter is true, when the new version will be effective?

    Best regards

    Hello

What has to happen, is it time that you changed a BR in the composer, that a redeployment of the composite does not replace the amended administrative rules.

You can / should export your composite of EM then you JDeveloper project reflecting changes in the BR in composer: using Oracle SOA composer with Oracle Business Rules - 11 g Release 1 (11.1.1.6.1).

  • Question about business rules

    Hello

I have a question about business rules. We have a lot of business rules for our planning application, and I wanted to know if there is a way to export all sort of business rule names in an Excel type file?

    Please, share your ideas.

    Thank you

You can run a query against the relational tables planning and get the names of BR from there.

    SELECT b.object_name

    Hsp_calc_mgr_rules has

    hsp_object b

    WHERE a.id = b.object_id;

  • Migration of business rules

    Hello

When business rules are migrated in Import/Export, points still places at the location of origin (from the source environment), is possible to change these locations together, or they must be changed for individual business rules?

Change the XML code and do a search and replace on the location, replace the existing with a new one, you may need to do this for lowercase and uppercase

    Hello

I reconfigure EAS on the machine production and the drop and re-create the database.
So I'd either use the migration tool to copy rules from one server to another, or just rules the export as xml and then import them again.

  • Good way to migrate Business rules

    Hi all.

I have a question about business rules migration DEV prod with 2 separate instance of Shared Services

I used to do an Import / Export of BR using Regional service and then manually configure projects and security. While it seems to work ok. I wonder if there is a more formal way to do this.

I seems an option migrate repository but am not sure which suppose that pros do. I have a feeling that this is not quite what I'm looking for. All the tips are greatly appreciated.

    Hello

That unfortunately is a big problem that was never really dealt with business rules, you can not select multi and remove them, you must also remove the rules before inmporting because it does not crush them it is just said it already exists and ignores him.

  • Prevent the business rule to run simultaneously

    Hi all

We are on Hyperion Planning 11.1.1.3.500. One of our business rules makes the system completely meaningless with its results when some users are running at the same time. A person must have been necessary a HBR not to run when it is already running. I need your suggestions to avoid the business rule to run simultaneously.

    Thank you

    Hello

    • tell users check the console to work first, before you run the rule.

    or

    • have a member of the system in your dimension that you can use as a flag. You set it to 1 as the beginning of the rule to indicate he runs, 0 / #Missing at the end of the rule to indicate is finished. You then add a @RETURN to leave the calculation if this flag is set to 1 in your rule. Just be careful about this because if for any reason the calculation fails, or is killed by an admin then your flag is set to 1, but you can still have a form of admin to reset these flags easily if necessary.

  • Planning of business rule

I need to write a business rule to calculate the difference of version 1 and version 2 and copy this difference to version 3 for all data at the level of zero for all the periods of a year, including the opening balance. Can someone help me

You could have elaborated more on your version of Hyperion, you're on and and what are your basic needs. (is this a a time point, it is something that must be considered at all times).

A very simple approach (without having to deal with a business rule) be fair would create a member of the dynamic version with an e.g (@VAR (VERSIOn1, Version2)) formula member. Again only once, you know the design of your application, as well as the details around your needs so you should test to see if the option is possible.

Others on the Board of Directors will give more information on approaches using some business rule approaches (e.g. VERSIOn3 = Version1 and Version2 ;) who would be most effective.

I hope that the option has been useful for you and let us know how make you out.
