Export data of material state via PowerCLI

Hello

I was just wondering if anyone have used PowerCLI for export the xml information of material status for a host to vCenter?

I'm not really familiar with PowerShell and PowerCLI so I don't know if this is even possible but it would help us to completely automate some pilot third party verification.

Thank you for your time and help

Matt

You can check the driver versions when you are connected to a host without the need for an XML export.

I've attached a quick script and dirty to write versions of all the drivers in the console.

Main points of the script:

Connect-VIServer - Connect to vCenter

Get-VMHost - lists associated Hosts the vCenter

Get-EsxCli - access to the host ESX CLI

$EsxCli.system.module.get("$DRIVER_NAME") - retrieves the VMKernel module (if the system knows about it) by name

It's just the best way to show how to get information about the drivers. Basically you just connect the vCenter Server via PowerCLI, then connect to hosts one by one. When you are connected to a host, use EsxCli to obtain the driver information (module).

I also forgot to add a line at the end of the script, so here it is: ' $DISCONNECT = Disconnect-VIServer $VCENTER_SERVER-force - confirm: $FALSE.

  • How to calculate the IOPS datastore / s and latency via Powercli?

    Hi all!

    I want to calculate the IOPS / s (RO/RW) and the latency of the data via Powercli store, but I cant' find this metric in Vcenter (in the data store tab) and see no metric for data via the cmdlet Get-Stat store.

    How can we measure IOPS / s and latency of data store?  For example I know veeam monitor this information - http://cdn.swcdn.net/creative/v16.8/images/screenshots/products/VM/Lg/EN/VMan60-Orion-Datastore-Top_Lg_960x540.jpg

    I know, I can get this VM or vmhost metric, but I need information on the data store.

    How to measure for IOPS / s and latency of data properly store?

    Thanks in advance!

    These measures are collected on ESXi nodes, entity would need to have the ESXi nodes where these data warehouses are connected.

    You can use the Instance property to filter.

    Under the PerformanceManager , you see all the measures for each indicator it indicates under which entity this metric is collected.

    And Yes, the cmdlet Get-inventory returns no data warehouses.

    There is a little, aggregated metric for data warehouses, I'll have to find an alternative for those.

    Nice catch!

  • Get data from performance CPU with PowerCLI

    Can I use powerCLI to do the following:?

    -Get 2 virtual machines.

    -Get the following metric: "Application (MHz) CPU" for the last week

    -Export data to CSV

    It is indeed a compromise between the statistical data, you want to keep it online and the capacity of storage-performance on your vCenter server.

    For me there is no rule of universal thumb, you will need to find the ideal configuration for your environment and your specific needs.

    In my environment, the works of config 4, 4, 2, 2. Impact on minimum performance and I can get online reports I need.

    Don't forget that you can change the time and frequency of the aggregation jobs that run on the database, you don't have to stick with the default values.

    But be aware of the impact on the data available in each historical interval.

    And there are alternatives, as I mentioned in my answer to another of your son: Re: Getting pics of use with get-stat

    Hi all

    We have a standard edition one 11 GR 1 material oracle environment, I need to export the data from the physical monitoring system.

    If anyone can suggest me, how to do it safely (up state).

    Kind regards

    Oracle Data Guard is available only as a feature of Oracle Database Enterprise Edition. It is not available with Oracle database Standard edition.

    Then you must export data only from primary or you use EXP instead of EXPDP on the standby database. Because EXPDP create a temporary table export process duration.

  • Is it possible to export data from fields to fill in indesign?

    Just the basics:

    I'm on a mac, running CC

    We are PDF forms where users will type circulating information. Instead of copying and pasting data into indesign, we wanted to see if there was a way to export the data entered directly in indesign? I tried to export data in Excel, but we lack excel for mac 2011 and I wonder if there is a compatibility problem with exports (which must constantly be repaired). I also find that when the files are repaired, that the entire form is included.

    If I can't make a direct export to indesign is there a way I can only export the data to excel and create my own .csv to a data merge in indesign?

    Thank you

    Rich

    Yes, JavaScript is case-sensitive, so the name of a field must be used in the same way, it has been defined in the form. If you have a field named "Field 1", you can not access via "field 1" - these two names is different. ""

  • How to calculate the CPU Ready on Cluster DRS via Powercli?

    Hi all!

    I have a DRS Vsphere cluster. I want to know what is the value of the loan of CPU I have in my group.

    For example, I get 20% of powercli value, it is normal for the cluster, but if I have 100% or more, I have a problem.

    How to achieve via Powercli? And how to calculate the percentage values correctly?

    I know, I can get all values of CPU Ready of VMs cluster, but IT is not the same thing, I need overall value of CPU Ready.

    Thanks in advance!

    As far as I know you can get the cpu.ready.summation for ESXi nodes or VMs.

    For a cluster, you will need to get the value of each node in the cluster ESXi and then take the average.

    The metric cpu.radey.summation is expressed in milliseconds.

    To get a percentage, you need to calculate the percentage of loan period during the interval during which it was measured.

    Something like this (this will give the loan current %)

    $clusterName = "mycluster.

    $stat = "cpu.ready.summation".

    $esx = get-Cluster-name $clusterName | Get-VMHost

    $stats = get-Stat-entity $esx - Stat $stat - Realtime - MaxSamples 1 - forum «»

    $readyAvg = $stats | Measure-object-property - average value. Select - ExpandProperty average

    $readyPerc = $readyAvg / ($stats [0].) IntervalSecs * 1000)

    Write-Output "Cluster $($clusterName) - CPU % loan $(' {0:p}'-f $readyPerc).

  • Disable the host followed via PowerCLI

    Hi all...

    I am looking for a way to disable the host followed via powercli.

    I found one-liner of LucD to get the current state: Get-Cluster | Select Name, @{N = 'Home monitoring status'; E={$_. Extensiondata.Configuration.DasConfig.HostMonitoring}}

    And I know how to turn on/off HA: Get-Cluster | Cluster - HAEnabled game: $false

    But I'm not sure how to combine the two.

    I want to be able to quickly toggle host control without having to disable HA altogether.

    Thoughts?

    Thank you!

    You can use a where clause

    Get-Cluster | where {$_.} Extensiondata.Configuration.DasConfig.HostMonitoring} | Cluster - HAEnabled game: $false

    The Select-Object cmdlet does not return the name of the LUN as a string, but as a ScsiLunImpl object.

    Hello

    Import-VAPP supports the OVF format only. The problem that struck you is that the cmdlet does not validate the input by extension files and attempts to load EGGS although it cannot import it.

    We already know on this subject and in the next version of PowerCLI this validation is done, and the cmdlet says he can import only OVF.

  • Problem with export data from an application and importing data into another application

    Hello

    I need to give a stream to an application (target) of one of the other application (source) of data. So what I did is I exported the data necessary for the application target using the DATAEXPORT function in text files and you now want to import data in text files in the application of the source using rules files.

    I'm trying to create files for each exported text file separate compilation, but I'm not able to do this successfully.
    I traced all members of the source to the target application, but still there is something wrong is going on is to not let the successful import or do not allow that data to go to the right places.

    There all the specifications, while using this function DATAEXPORT as format or the kind of DATAEXPORTOPTIONS that I use to make it work?

    Here is the first part of my script to calc. For all other data I wanted to export that I wrote similar statements by simply setting on individual members.

    SET DATAEXPORTOPTIONS
    {
    DATAEXPORTLEVEL ALL;
    DATAEXPORTCOLFORMAT ON;
    DATAEXPORTOVERWRITEFILE ON;
    };

    DIFFICULTY ("ST", "BV", "SSV", "ASV", "ESV", "W", "HSP_InputValue", "SÜSS", "TBSD", "ABU", "AC", "LB", "LT", "VAP", "Real", "FY11", @REMOVE (@LEVMBRS (period, 0), @LIST (BegBalance)));
    DATAEXPORT 'File' ',' '...\export Files\D3.txt ';
    ENDFIX;

    Please let me know your opinion on this. I really need help with that.

    So, you have 12 periods through the columns of the export data?

    If so, you must assign each column of data at a time. The data column property is used only when you have completely defined the dimensions either through other fields or other areas and the header and the left point only possible is data. This does not work when you have several columns of data that you find, just so assign the right period; doing this means there is no column of data .

I tried to do with the tool of data workshop, one of the table has approximately 19,000 records, so he gets frozen trying to export data.     You give the right to select on MICC_APEX_ADMIN. SRDB_MAIN to MICC_APEX_PROD;
    Then sign in as MICC_APEX_ADMIN and run

    Then log in as MICC_APEX_PROD and INSERT performance

  • export data from the table in xml files

    Hello

    This thread to get your opinion on how export data tables in a file xml containing the data and another (xsd) that contains a structure of the table.
    For example, I have a datamart with 3 dimensions and a fact table. The idea is to have an xml file with data from the fact table, a file xsd with the structure of the fact table, an xml file that contains the data of the 3 dimensions and an xsd file that contains the definition of all the 3 dimensions. So a xml file fact table, a single file xml combining all of the dimension, the fact table in the file a xsd and an xsd file combining all of the dimension.

    I never have an idea on how to do it, but I would like to have for your advise on how you would.

    Thank you in advance.

    You are more or less in the same situation as me, I guess, about the "ORA-01426 digital infinity. I tried to export through UTL_FILE, content of the relational table with 998 columns. You get very quickly in this case in these ORA-errors, even if you work with solutions CLOB, while trying to concatinate the column into a CSV string data. Oracle has the nasty habbit in some of its packages / code to "assume" intelligent solutions and converts data types implicitly temporarily while trying to concatinate these data in the column to 1 string.

    The second part in the Kingdom of PL/SQL, it is he's trying to put everything in a buffer, which has a maximum of 65 k or 32 k, so break things up. In the end I just solved it via see all as a BLOB and writing to file as such. I'm guessing that the ORA-error is related to these problems of conversion/datatype buffer / implicit in the official packages of Oracle DBMS.

    Fun here is that this table 998 column came from XML source (aka "how SOA can make things very complicated and non-performing"). I have now 2 different solutions 'write data to CSV' in my packages, I use this situation to 998 column (but no idea if ever I get this performance, for example, using table collections in this scenario will explode the PGA in this case). The only solution that would work in my case is a better physical design of the environment, but currently I wonder not, engaged, as an architect so do not have a position to impose it.

    sqlplus abc.sql (assumes that abc.sql runs select * from emp)
    spool off

    It cannot work like this, because the declaration of the COIL is not recognized outside the SQL * Plus the term.

    But, you can include the statement of the COIL in abc.sql like this:

    spool c:\temp\empdata.txt
    select * from emp;
    spool off

    Then, you just have to run the SQL script as follows:

    sqlplus  @abc.sql

    However, I advise you to use Oracle SQL Developer, this is a free tool and with it you can export a Table in several types of format (html, xml, csv, xls,...).

    Please find attached a link to this tool:

    Hope this helps.
