Export, high quality MPEG-2 settings

CS3:

I'm burning a 15 minute film. Quality is the most important. It's NTSC, 29.97, 16:9

About the settings, I did a few test makes but I have a few questions:

Multiplexing, DVD or not? As I understand it, it has to do with a separate audio track. Is there a reason to go with the DVD?

Audio, PCM or MPEG? I did a test render with PCM (a default value), seemed OK... A reason to go with MPEG?

Order of fields, I used no, progressive. A reason to go with higher or lower?

Encoding Bitrate - I used the CBR. I got much better results. Do mount Mbit/s for most large number (9) improve quality?

Parameters of GOP, the choices are 3-8, is the highest quality the best number? The default value is 3.

N frames, 9, 12, 15, 16 choice, what is the best quality? The default value is 15.

Multiplexing, DVD or not? As I understand it, it has to do with a separate audio track. Is there a reason to go with the DVD?

None. The result is two files, video, audio, still she likes better than multiplexes. Import the video as a timeline and audio as an asset. Drag the audio to the audio track below the timeline and it snaps in place.

Audio, PCM or MPEG? I did a test render with PCM (a default value), seemed OK... A reason to go with MPEG?

None, PCM is good, Dolby AC3 it's even better because it leaves more space for the video.

Order of fields, I used no, progressive. A reason to go with higher or lower?

If you shot interlaced, keep it lower. If you use progressive on interlaced material, you lose half the vertical resolution.

Encoding Bitrate - I used the CBR. I got much better results. Do mount Mbit/s for most large number (9) improve quality?

Yes, but do not exceed 8 for compatibility resons.

Parameters of GOP, the choices are 3-8, is the highest quality the best number? The default value is 3.

N frames, 9, 12, 15, 16 choice, what is the best quality? The default value is 15.

Leave default.

    Hello world

For many of the projects I'm working on that I need to provide customers with a high resolution, low resolution and ready to print their documents. It is not a huge deal to run the export of Indesign 3 times, but I wonder if there is a batch process that can do at once? For the moment, I'm archiving work and it's a major pain to do this for each file!

I have been a script, perhaps a droplet of acrobat or action, Distiller affecting thinking, or perhaps a third-party app?

Does anyone have any ideas or suggestions? I looked for something like this for a while, but the only thing I found is out factory of Zervik - I'm not yet sure he does several types of indd. But surely there are free tools or some intelligent workflows that I have not yet stumbled...

  • Video 'share' - more high quality, for importation in ProTools?

I have problems with the function 'share' on my Mac: I am trying to export high-quality video/audio off ss12 to continue work in ProTools.  The format, in that I work is directly from my camera the rx100 Sony (see screenshot which shows the format during playback in QuickTime 10).  If I choose 'get info' Codec appears as H.264, AAC, size 1920 x 1080.

As part of 'Share' I chose "Export for display on the computers files" - I guess that it is the highest quality.

    Formats to 'Share' I tried:

1 AVCHD - but this file could not be opened by my Mac.

2 MPEG - opens in Quicktime 10, but in QuickTime 7, there is no sound.  When I imported it in ProTools 10, there is no audio data.

3 QuickTime - ok imported into ProTools, but the aspect ratio is now 4:3 with a mailbox at the top / bottom.  I want my full-quality 1920, who came out of the camera.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    We start by

3 QuickTime - ok imported into ProTools, but the aspect ratio is now 4:3 with a mailbox at the top / bottom.  I want my full-quality 1920, who came out of the camera.

If your video specifications source are HD 1440 x 1080 anamorphic 16:9, then the project or you set the project preset for

    NTSC

    AVCHD

    HD1080i30

When you export the Timeline with the source, then

    Publish + share

    Computer

    QuickTime

with Presets = NTSC DV 16:9

Click the Advanced button, and then go to the 'Video' tab in the export settings dialog box that appears.

NEC the H.264 video codec and then put the rest of the fields as shown in the screenshot. The goal is H.264.mov file (1920 x 1080 @ 29.97 progressive frames per second).

Included, I put a check mark next to limit data rate to 12000 Kbps (kilobits per second). You can adjust this value if you try to compromise between the bitrate (flow), the file size and quality.

Make sure that you delete any channel icon in the box to the right of the width and height fields so that you can type in not 1440 x 1080, 1920 x 1080. Note also the other parameters I put in place.

Be sure to have the latest version of QuickTime installed on your computer with Premiere elements 12.

Your first task should be to define what sustains this ProTools program and then we decide if Premiere Elements offers a such export. I'll leave the ProTools part up to you.

Looking forward to your follow up if you're looking for additional export opportunities for your exports of Premiere Elements. For any questions, or need clarification, please do not forget to ask.

    Thank you.

  • Exporting HDV to mpeg-4 format

I use version 9 of Premiere Elements.

I have a HDV PAL project I want to export to mpeg-4 format. When I choose 'share' (may be named differently - I use the Swedish version) get to select a few formats, but I can't find any mpeg-4 format. Most reasonalbe choice would first select 'Computer - export of files for display on the computer' and then MPEG, but there isn't any mpeg-4. I want to use the 1920 x 1080 resolution if it matters (HDV is 1440 x 1080).

Where can I find that? I know that first Elements 9 supports export .mp4. Any ideas?

    asdfewefs

You say that you work with Premiere Elements 9.0/9.0.1, 10, so I would like to offer a few details on what, I made SG reference since his suggestion is generally written (no iPad is actually written in part version 9.0/9.0.1),

Part/cell phones and readers/Apple iPod and iPhone, using the presets = iPod and iPhone - high quality.

Then under the tab advanced settings of this preset button/video

Video = set to MainConcept H.264 video codec

    In the precise order wrote:

    TV = PAL standard

    = Baseline profile

Levels = 5.0 (this setting will allow you to make sure of...)

Width of the frame = 1920 pixels

    Frame height = 1080 pixels

Frame rate = 25 frames per second

Field order = None (progressive) (you'll see it grayed)

Format of the pixels = Pixels square

That should give you your PAL from 1920 x 1080 to 25 frames per second video to H.264.mp4. Please let us know how that turns out.

    Thank you.

  • "High Profile" MPEG 2 issue

OK, here's another question regarding the NewTek Tricaster record profiles.  We have a Tricaster broadcast which, for those of you who are not familiar with it, is a direct passage (6 entries), streaming, the computer record.  It has two different profiles of MPEG-2 it can join.

    (1) regular profile - double rate for encoding MPEG-2 (I-frame)

    (2) studio Profile - new double flow 4:2:2 encoding MPEG-2 (I-frame)

    http://www.newtek.com/FAQ/index.php?primary=3D%20Arsenal & issue = 408

So, I did some projects with her now and after the event, we wanted to burn a DVD of the camera multi shoot without having to change from tape.  First time we recorded with the regular profile and I had trouble getting the DVD to look right until I realized that this profile registration special used upper-field first and when I changed my file MPEG 2 DVD to UFF it looked very good, could be better though, so we started using the profile of Studio.

First of all, I have a devil of a time of records Studio Profile edition.  My computer takes forever just to catch up if I try to rub well.  Even if I just jump forward in the timeline 30 or 40 min it takes time for the program monitor display the image.  Sometimes if I jump in front and the game of the image in the monitor program will be the same when I jumped and if I hit the bar space ICT will move and I hear the sound but the picture in the monitor will not change.  I'm home right now so I have not all the specs on my computer at hand, but I'm runnign XP Pro 64, 2.6 Ghz Core 2 Quad (I think it is 2.6) and 8 GB of Ram.  I edit a lot of AVCHD, and it is easier to change than such things.  Not a huge because what I do is cut the beginning and the end.  My question has to do with the good DVD release.  If I export the timeline as MPEG 2 DVD, then use the NTSC high quality preset, I changed the quality slider to 5 and 8Mbps CBR flow.  I burned the DVD with still and with any kind of movement that is it look strange strobe effect / ghosting to it.  If I return in first and do a right-click on the timeline and go in the Options for field and then check "Interlace consecutive images" and export DVD file with the same settings as before the dvd output looks good.

If anyone has an idea why it works that way?

When I get to my office, I'll post the settings I use for the sequence.

I'm getting a usable to DVD, but apparently just something I am doing wrong.  If there is anyway to get part of one of these Studio profile MPEG 2 to anyone to take a look at I would do it, I don't know how I could do this.  All of these clips are long 1.5-2.5 hours.

    Thanks for any help.

    Phil

  • Festival Video export HD QUALITY but small in size

First of all, I don't know how you can make suggestions, but ADOBE, I'd there Festival or Presets movie screen that allows high-quality HD on large theatre screens, but also different sizes of file. Or at least explanation invites that I know what it does to my movie when I slide the Max Bitrate slider!

That being said, I'm looking to export my movie for a festival in Germany. They have all of the different specifications. Request:

    • a file size under 1 GB (it's a short 8 minute)
    • MP4
    • 0 decibels (where can I define in the export settings?)
    • 24 fps or 25 fps progressive (my movie is 23.976, is this a problem?)
    • AAC sound quality

(PS: this isn't for a DCP.) The file will be transferred via Dropbox)

When I put in the H.264 FORMAT, and set it to PRESET HD 1080 23.976 or 25 progressive, he is already over 1 800 MB.

    Basically... WHAT SHOULD I DO?

The decibel level '0' is a setting for audio... loudness pic... and you need to set that while working the file in PrPro. Using the audio controls.

  • How to change the resolution of a photo in photoshop for high quality printing?

I am confused about how to check the actual resolution of an image in Photoshop.

I understand 72 DPI is set for the web and 300 DPI is normally required for high quality printing but how do you check the dpi in Photoshop. When you go to the size and resolution of the image, it is always in pixels (ppi)? Is it the same thing as the dots per inch?

For example. If I open a photo in Photoshop and the resolution is 72 dpi can I change this at 300ppi so that's 300 DPI when it goes to print?

Also is there a way to check the resolution of a picture that has been placed in indesign or illustrator without opening the image in photoshop?

    Thanks in advance

You should check up to resample it for any nationally - or down.

If you want to convert to CMYK, you must use the correct profile, the results may not be as expected.

CMYK profiles are dependent on the device - the press is either calibrated to a known profile (which may be available in Photoshop), or he has a profile, which you would have to get the printer.

If you want to print an Indesign document, the recommended workflow is to export to PDF and converting CMYK when the pdf file. The CMYK range is smaller than RGB, so unless you're aware of this, you will have a few surprises.

You cannot print very saturated colors with CMYK and blues often come different looking than RGB.

If you configure the Color PS with CMYK (workspace) profile settings, you can (work in RGB) press Ctrl + Y and get a glimpse of what will look like colors in CMYK. You can even edit in this mode, tweaking colors, but of course limited by the CMYK range.

For all this to work and get good results, you must have a calibrated monitor, and it helps it of course to have a good printer, who knows what she's doing. And, if possible, be there during printing. Printing on an offset press is not like printing on your desktop printer - there are much more variable.

  • High quality display - appears corrupted

    Hello

I have a problem with the display of high-quality files placed TIF (InDesign CS3 5.0.4). When seen at high magnification of that image is replaced by a black solid with diagonal lines of black and white in the upper part.

I read in the archives of the problems of performance display and tried the suggestions, but have failed to solve the problem:

    (1) restored preferences

Ensure that the following options are selected:

    (2) purpose of display performance > high quality

    (3) view > display performance > allow object-level display settings

Image placement is essential with what I'm doing so because the question is normally associated with CMYK hair I usually use a gray TIF to correctly position, then replace it with the CMYK version. However, becomes more complex page layout, the gray TIF becomes too "corrupt" to a high zoom factor. Of course, the exported PDF file is always true, but I really need to look at really high magnification in InDesign.

I close all other applications to make sure this isn't a problem for RAM, but in vain. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you.

  • A2DP quality is not high quality

I have a newer Toshiba Bluetooth Stack and a capable v2.0 Bluetooth dongle. I use a headset Nokia BH-604. Low quality, bitrate settings is correct, 201 Kbps. But the standard and high quality (also the auto settings) parameters use the same flow rate, only 212 Kbps. transmission speeds must be AFAIK 229 Kbps and 328 Kbps. They are now far right bitrates. However, I tried Bluesoleil and it works correctly. Anyone has an idea why Toshiba does not work well?

The new audio settings are active after next at the beginning of the Bluetooth settings. It shows 328 kbit/s for 'high quality '.

    Hi guys,.

Since the last update, I can't put "display performance" of high quality. Only quick and typical works.

Tried with various documents, but is does not appear in the documents.

    I already rebooted my computer.

  • Import photos look pixelated. How can I get high quality? [was: Jeff Waters]

I am producing a book and by inserting the digitised photographs.  The problem is that a lot of photos are pixelated as long as I can see them in "normal" mode.  Most, but not all are clear when I go to the 'presentation' view, but some come to ok, then a few seconds later, they become very grainy.   Here are my questions:

    1. all print ok regardless of the view?

    2. What is the best protocol to import?   I'm currently scanning at 1200 dpi, import in Lightroom where I edit, then export as tiff or jpeg with a resolution of 400 pixels per inch.

How is quality, if you click with the right mouse click on an image and change the display quality.

If you print, you should not print directly from InDesign, export to PDF and print from Acrobat.

Important in InDesign is the effective resolution, normally of high quality, it comes to 300ppi, images are used in RGB with color profile, if transparency is included use psd, otherwise use a jpg with quality.

  • Can I choose a high quality display mode in Adobe Acrobat Pro?

When I open a PDF in Adobe Acrobat Pro graphics are displayed in a low quality (pixelated) which is really annoying. When I opened the same pdf in Adobe Acrobat Reader, they are displayed in high quality.

I really want to choose a display mode of high-quality Adobe Acrobat Pro as well. Is this possible? Please help :-)

I moved your question to one of the Acrobat forums, where it is more appropriate.

Go to Edit - Preferences - Page display in both applications and compare the settings. If it works well in the drive then set Acrobat to be the same as those of the reader.

  • Fact in export DV using "Match sequence settings.

I'm VHS and Hi8 video capture using a Canopus ADVC-300 and Premiere Pro CS6.  The output is DV, approx. 14 GB/hour.  Most of the catches are unattended (have a 4 TB drive, supported of course, but space isn't a big concern at the moment).  I would get everything imported before any serious editing, so I capture each strip twice: the first time, the video itself; then I go back, turn on the indicator timestamp overlay and capture again with the camera works at speed x 2.  This way I can quickly find after a particular segment of a band recorded without winding the Ribbon around the camera, looking for the scene and the time is not superimposed on the image.

    I have two questions:

    (1) given that the catches are unattended, I need to cut the blue screen at the end of each captured files to save disk space.  I want to confirm that if I cut a sequence and export with game "Match sequence settings", this first reencode the DV except the parts that I've actually changed (I sometimes use the dip to black around damaged segment of tape).  Based on the speed of export, I don't think it's recompression and quality looks the same but I want to check a second time.

Premiere Pro CS6 always mark the timeline with the color bar if treatment is required?  "Dip to black" parts get a yellow bar, but the rest has no bar.  That would be a clue.

Also, the export dialog box has "Use rendered maximum quality" unchecked by default.  I check it - does it matter?

    (2) what is the best way to permanently associate a DateTime with the captured video? I don't see anyway to bake in the DV for each segment.  I use comments in sequence marks, established at the beginning of each clip, but the sequence markers do not move if I have ripple - delete, let's say 10 seconds of noise in the middle of a track.  I can't figure out how to get the markers attached to the video track instead of the sequence.  I found a few videos that say how to do this, but they do not seem to apply to CS6.  I found that if I export the sequence, the markers can get supported in DV.  But I need them to stay if I ripple-edit.  Is this possible?

    (3) my plan is to add a title overlay second 3 or 5 at the beginning of each segment to say what it is and where it was captured, but only for the final export.  Is there something I could use to create a heading for a spot?   This isn't a big deal, but it looks like a useful feature.

Sorry if the answer to these questions is obvious - thanks for your patience.

    1. on a Windows machine PP will make a copy of simple file for executives not corrupted when you make the DV, DV without transcoding.  You need not (and should not use) sequence settings to Match for that to happen.

2 clip markers are defined in the Source monitor Panel, not in the sequence.

    3. copy/paste is about it.
