Export of captions v5.5

Hello

Does not use this option, I make co-workers and they are unable to perform the "Export project legends"... .to MS Word.

I have a copy of their project and trying to establish why their legend will not export as they shouldbut was hoping someone might have a suggestion as to why there is fault or offer some suggestions of settings etc that I should check what could be the cause of this failure.

As always - thank you very much in advance for any help.

Noel

I found the cause of the problem thinking and so I would like to post it here in case anyone has the same problem.

Whoever created the project had placed an empty text caption on the slide and used the legend of empty text as an image of background/highlighter on which they're adding other items.

What they have not noticed, it was the legend of empty text wasn't actually completely empty... He had a dot/full stop (.) with a size of 1 point and in the same color as the text of the legend. I only spotted this when we look at the text in the time line caption (see below)

After removing this (.), export captions ran as it should.

Hope this could be helpful to others.

Thanks for your post – you are right, at this point that Premiere Pro incorporates no subtitles encoded in MPEG2. You can check with Telestream or other solutions like that if you want to incorporate this way CC data. They have a wide umbrella of subtitle formats.

  • Difficult to export captions as *. CSC sidecar.  Anyone?

Help!  I'm pulling what I left little hair.  I am trying to export captions as one. Sidecar CSC for a 30 second.  I created legends in first (V2) and they appear in the program monitor, but when I export the video file the sidecar file is empty, and open in Notepad shows only "Scenarist_SCC V1.0", but none of the jobs created.  I can export the captions directly as XML and that works, but the broadcaster is eager a *.scc sidecar. Ideas or meanings that anyone can give me?  Can't find someone with similar problems.

    I'm on CC 2014.

I'm sorry to hear that you have problems. What is the standard of legend that you use? If it is 708 and you try to export to the SCC, it won't work no - CSC can contain only 608 captions. If you need 708 captions, you can export to sidecars MCC, they accommodate 608 and 708 captions.

  • Captivate 6 fail to export the project captions and subtitles

    Hello.

I am using Captivate 6.1.0.319 on Windows 7.

I have audio on my slides and captioning is selected on each slide, but when I export (file > > export > > project captions and subtitles), none of the text closed captioning is in the Word document.

Most of the legends project appear, but not all of them.

I've already renamed my preferences to OLD file to force the preferences to refresh.

    Any other suggestions?

    Thank you

    Never mind.

This seems to be a problem with corruption of files.

The I'm working today with a particular file was initially created in Captivate 4.

I opened another project that I created charges last month, and he has no problem with the export of legends; It works exactly as expected.

I tried to copy all the slides in the projects that don't export, then paste them into a new project, but that did not help the issue-exporter.

  • How can I export several language closed pp legends?

    So here's the scenario:

    1. Documentary photo of length in slovene featured
    2. Created slovene and English subtitles (.srt format) code (I have more than two languages translation)
    3. Imported into my project and marked as CEA608 CC1 English and slovene as CEA608 CC2
    4. Placed two files of legend on my timeline on video tracks 5 & 6 respectively
    5. I can select the CE1 or CE2 channels in the program monitor and see the correct subtitles during playback.
    6. I export to Quicktime (MOV) format and select 'Embed in the output file' in the tab captions options
    7. When I look at the QT file it contains only a single stream CC (CC1) and so only English subtitles are available.

I tried to export the captions in any format available sidecar (*.) CSC, .mcc, .xml, .stl, .srt). ALL of them with just a SINGLE channel of legend, CC1.

I feel like I tried all combinations of input file specification "and the output file option and have not found one that will export two or more closed channels of the legend."

My guess is, I have to exchange all subtitle files (CE1 > CE2 and CE2 > CC1) and then restore the project twice. time to get the English .srt file and a second time to get the language Slovenian .srt file.  This should work for the production of DVD where I can import files sidecar separately in yet. This will also work for YouTube where I can download the two, or more, .srt files. But I see no way to create a single MXF or MOV file with two built-in languages. It's my main output requirement.

Has anyone successfully created a workflow for several language legend closed?
Premiere Pro actually exportable in multiple channels of CC and if so, how?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Michelle

The workflow creation and editing for closed captioning, although does not changes in batches of legends or is likely to further massive changes and conversions. For some users and the specific workflow, this can be tedious and impractical. Please submit a feature request.

  • Copy the captioning of a .wav to .mp3?

    Hello

I was wor King on a presentation in Captivate 8 and have completed just to create all my subtitles.

I worked with my audio .wav files as I said that it was of the best quality. As it comes to the time to publish the presentation, I was invited to use the .mp3 rather than .wav files. Which is very much like the audio is the same, but it doesn't seem to be in any way possible to copy the content of the legends and copy it to a separate file. The seems to be exclusively related to the file it was created in. legends

I tried to export the audio, but who loses the legends in two file formats. When you export the captioning it puts them in a word doc, but I don't see how I can copy it from this doc word on a new audio file (.mp3).

Is there a way to do it, or I'll have to copy and paste, and manage the sequences of a calendar for my presentation together again? I searched online but couldn't find anything similar to this specific situation.

    Thanks in advance.

    BB

No, you can choose the audio settings. The published file mp3, wav not. Reduction in the size of the file will be not big at all if you start with mp3, because second compression will not lead to a large part on the size of the file, but will certainly lead to loss of quality. As I said all assets are compressed to maintain the low file size. Audio settings: choose mono, Dungeon bitrate low etc are much more important than to replace the wav files in the mp3 library.  He didn't check the CP9, but if you import mp3 Captivate allows you to create a this mp3 wav file in the library which is to reverse the situation in a bad way.

Also keep the number of images as low as possible, and then choose a resolution appropriate for the CP project have an impact on the size of the file.

  • Impossible to import *. CSC first captioning in yet

I am always with subtitles and captioning and will try to be detailed in my question. Thanks for being patient with the length!

First, let me describe my project and intentions:

I'm creating a movie of 2 hours of play for children by script using Premiere Pro 8.0. All my editing is complete and I even started to set up my menu in still (Cs6). It is imperative that I include closed captioning or subtitles (which can be enabled or disabled) that the audio quality is not the best.

    Here is what I tried:

    (1) I first learned that I could only create subtitles or cc in again. I started to do this but it is very difficult to align words with audio because one) I could go only by what I heard and not on a frame-by-frame line up with the audio waves I used to work with Premiere Pro. and (b) somehow, I am not able to see my subtitles in a panel of "program." I don't have the option to display a window of "program" and I don't have a drop down menu that says anything other than 'Undock Frame', 'Undock Panel'... etc.

    (2) then, I came across an option to create subtitles encoded in Premiere Pro as a type of movie file. File > new > closed captioning

It was so much easier! And I found the drop-down menu where I could turn on the captions as I worked.

    I'm using format: CEA-608 CC1

I tried all this in a short excerpt from my film so I could play with exporting and see how it worked in yet. Still going to import audio and video files very well, but after trying to import the file *. CSC this error window appears:

"The software that is used to decode the media is not available on this system. Install the correct decoders for files you are using can help fix the problem. »

I tried to export the captioning this way since first Pro file > export > media legends, create a Sidecar file. I tried each of the following formats: *. CSC, .mcc. .XML, .stl but at the end of the rendering that addresses *. CSC and .xmp came through. I'm guessing that the other 3 options emerged as ".xmp" because they could not be encoded in these formats.

Another question: I found an option to export cc on file > New > export > legends, however, this option is grayed out and I couldn't try it.

Return to again. When I tried to import subtitles via timeline > import > captions, none of these options (text Script, Script of FAB Images, Image Script) contacted my files of cc. No doubt beccaue they are cc instead of subtitles?

Could someone please help me understand what am I missing, what my computer is missing? I really hope that there is a simple answer and no-$! There must be a way to use what I've created first.

    Thank you!!

  • How edit you tape with captions?

    Howdy,

Thank you for writing back. I put on V6 608 and 708 on V7 - just checked 608 and 708 MCC sidecar cross - I would like to know if you have any other questions, or not, things are clear. Best regards, CM

  • Export text widgets for translation

    Hello

I am currently evaluate a trial version of Adobe Captivate 8 and I am wanting to understand the complete options for translation.

My tests until using the widget of matrix of circle with the export file XML/export project captions and subtitles seem to indicate that it is not possible to include any text, in a widget for export.

Is this really the case?  If so, this is a big drawback for those who want to use Captivate to create content for an engaging multi-language support.

Any help/advice available would be very useful, because it is one of our key requirements for our development of e-learning.

    Thank you

    Laura

I wasn't talking about text input from the user as for the circle matrix, but in some interactions game where now the layout can be completely customized. Sorry for this misunderstanding.

With regard to the documentation on interactions: simply nothing at all. I have been featured on learning interactions on DevLearn last year (this year it was refused), have explanatory tables, etc.. No time to blog about them, my focus and time now goes to shared first actions that are almost as little documented that learning interactions. For interactions, I do only consulting, training, offering only not everything for free.

  • First Pro CC incorporates no 708 captions in QT

Despite the fact that all online videos to believe that export of embedded subtitles is child's play, it is not. After much experimentation, I discovered there is no way to export 708 captions embedded in a QT file. I worked with captions closed for a long time, and I am very familiar with the various traps of captioning. Why Adobe would have chosen to incorporate 608 captions only in a HD file is beyond me. To be excluded by the broadcasters captions should be VAN 708 captions with the 608 alternative. Every time I get a file out of MACCaption is what is included. I tried to import these files in first pro CC and he does not see the legends.

I tried to create the file as a .mcc, and it seems to be OK. There is unfortunately no way to integrate this into a QT file.

    Kevin

You are right that 708 captions cannot be incorporated into QuickTime files; they can be incorporated into the outputs of MXF OP1a or written of sidecars. It is covered, albeit indirectly, at the bottom of this help page.

Support for closed captioning is a work-in-progress. CC7.0 has provided support for CEA-608 and Teletext; the CEA-708 support was added in 7.1 or 7.0.1. Of course, 'support' is a loose concept, and it remains to be done on specific aspects of exactly, which can be imported, how legends can be exported and workflows to edit the captions in a project. You can help us set priorities by submitting feature requests on what you think are the greatest needs.

  • QuestionPools can be exported?

    Using Captivate 5.5.

I created a QuestionPool containing a few questions, each containing

    • two areas of text (a title and the issue itself)
    • an audio clip
    • a single image
    • three different comments in response to correct/incorrect/no answered answers

Is it possible to export the text from the text boxes and three observations of each question? Or even the image?

I just need in a Word (or Excel) document, so not very special format is required.

    Thanks for any thoughts.

    Hello

    Welcome to the Adobe Forums.

You can export the captions and subtitles via file > export > captions and subtitles of the project. It will create a word file.

    Thank you!

    Hello

I stand to be corrected on that, but I think the XML import and export likely to work as well as the export of captions and subtitles.

The way it works is like this: you export captions and subtitles. You make changes. You then reimport the captions and subtitles in the SAME project that you exported from.

I think the XML works the same way. Export you the XML file, massage and re-import them in the SAME project.

Just give it a go and see if it works for you.

    See you soon... Rick

  • Export as xml for translation

    Hello

I export the project as xml to send to translation.

The file consist of a large amount of data that is not relevant for the purposes of translation.

Is there an easy way to see in the file, which is the text must be translated?

    Thank you

    Merav.

    Hello

Is there a reason for export in XML format? Personally, I have a lot (teaching in 3 languages and want to use the CP - SWF for all students) the translation and I'm very happy using CP "export text captions and subtitles. This translates into a Word document with a two-column layout typical. Boths columns are identical, but you are supposed to use the right column for the translation, the left works as a reference. When I import the word CP, resizing the text automatically captions and almost all the work is done. Just have a checkup...

Only limitations: you must have Word on the PC.
