  • Characters not visible (caused by hitting the bar space or TAB in PL/SQL developer tool) causing slow running query? and database with low performance?

    Hi all

    I need your help to get this issue resolved its urgent and I'm not able to get to the conclusion. Here is my scenario, I'm getting slow query runs because of some non-visible characters that are copied with the application of the PL/SQL developer tool. Please find below attached screenshot: Oracle_Issue

    Oracle_Isssue.png

    Note: This non-visible characters are caused when we write the query then us hit the SPACEBAR or press TAB PL/SQL developer tool

    I use the developer tool PL/SQL to write or test the query. Now I take this request copy paste in my application of the company (who takes this query connects to Oracle or any source of data base, catch data and produce PDF reports for customers).

    Now, my client is the Oracle user when I write and you run this query by the PL/SQL Developer, it works fine, but when I paste in my Inbox feature request (reporting system) and run it, it runs slower and jams to the customer database. Now after a little research I found that when I copy the query directly from PL/SQL developer at my request, he copy some characters not visible (introduced when we press SPACE or TAB in PL/SQL developer tool when writing query) with the request, then I copy this query again to my box of the application Notepad and delete these non-visible characters. Now, after removing the non-visible characters again once I copy backup question in my application and run the query, it works normally. Please find below attached screenshot: Oracle_Issue 2

    Oracle_Isssue_2.png

    So I think that the cause of slow performance is due to some INVISIBLE CHARACTERS present in the query.

    My application uses SQL server 2008-2012 at the backend to store data from different sources.

    Character set used: SQL_Latin1_General_CP1_CI_AS

    To write and test queries: PL/SQL developer tool

    My Client use Oracle 11 g

    Character set used: Normal character: NLS_CHARACTER: AL16UTF16

    National Characeter: NLS_NCHAR_CHARACTER: WE8WIN1521

    I just wanted to know the blocking process to the top of the database and the characters not visible how affecting slow running query of query database.

    Please let me know if I'm missing something or you need more information on this issue.

    Thanks in advance,

    HP

    Simple answer. No.

    Spaces and line breaks do not change the execution plan created. Does not plan to run slower or faster.

  • export of database don't know where global

    Hi, when I paste in the sql after where clause in global where to export the database of sqldeveloper, it exports all data in the database instead of the query I'm looking for. When I run the same query in an interactive way, it returns the expected results. Pls advise

    I found it, I have to watch hit enter after entering sql and before clicking next. But I don't think I should have.

  • How to export the database and import the database using sql developer

    Hello

    I need to export the database to a server and import it on another server db using the export function of database under the Tools menu in SQLl developer. How to import it? This is for Oracle database 10g.

    Thank you

    Hello

    I think it generates the file .sql containing all the objects that you are exported. Then you can simply open the target database file and run as a script. Also, there is another forum for sqldeveloper related issues.

    Concerning

  • export to database

    If I export the database for backup, he recorded the .dmp file on default location in "C:\Documents and Settings\nom". If I want to change this location how to change that?

    If your dmp file in C:\Documents and Settings\user\TEST.dmp
    You can copy it to D:\DUMPS\TEST.dmp and use this file with IMP like

      imp user/password file='D:\DUMPS\TEST.DMP'

    Hello

    You have configured Enterprise Manager? Using 'EM is the best and easiest to see what the problem is with your database.

    Otherwise, if the performance is slow in the last minutes, you can use reports history of Active Session (ASH) to check top queries. You will notice also the top wait events in the same.

    If the performance problem is consistent in these last hours, you better check the AWR & ADDM reports. They will give you a better way to find out if there are performance problems and vision. Since the events of high expectation of the page, you can see if the bottleneck exists in the database or outside of the database.

    If there is a query that performs poorly all of a sudden, you can first try to collect stats of the tables involved.

  • Export of database Session Bean (J2EE 1.4)

    Hello people,

    I try to implement a download of large files for end users, the data are extracted from a database.

    Configuration and Description of the problem:
    ----------------------------------------

    A J2EE 1.4 stateless Session Bean record-wise reads data from a large database table, generates a string of each record and adds the string in a text output for the download stream. The steps involved are (in pseudocode):

    For each record in the database table:
    1.) apply business logic to record data (formatting of numeric values, etc.)
    2.) Accumulate record data in a single string.
    3 writing string.) to an OutputStream

    When finished: download a file over HTTP to the end user.

    The processed data are very large (resulting text file will be 200-1500 MB), I think go with water courses is a feasible solution. An attempt at the interface of Bean Session would be:

    public OutputStream exportDb() {...}

    My problem is: inside the exportDb method, I implémenterai the algorithm described above, but this means that the whole issue will take place in the memory object (in the OutputStream). The download will be executed by a ServletOutputStream. How can I export the database table one recording by the other without implementing the logic of all its activities in a Servlet? The only way I can think is a variant of the Session Bean method that takes the ID of the record that must be treated as a parameter and executes the method in a loop in some servlet code:

    ....
    Somewhere in the Servlet
    OS = getServletOutputStream;

    for (int i = 1; i < nrOfRecords; ++ I) {}
    OS. Write (exportDb (i));
    }

    Is there else any solution "clean"?

    Assuming that you are working with a local ejb, you pass the OutputStream in the method, for example "exportDb (OutputStream out)" and move the outputstream servlet directly to the ejb. If you use a remote ejb, things get more complicated (I wrote a library for broadcasting remotely over rmi, called rmiio, that you can use if you are working with a remote ejb).

    So why you use 8.0.6 client?

    You have installed Forms 6i or something like that on your machine? That's the only reason why I can imagine for this old software.

    In a command window:

    Set ORACLE_HOME=E:\oracle\product\10.2.0\db_1
    Set ORACLE_SID =

    In the variable PATH check E:\oracle\product\10.2.0\db_1\bin comes first or directly call sqlplus

    E:\oracle\product\10.2.0\db_1\bin

    sqlplus / as sysdba
    startup

  • Export of databases from phpMyAdmin on another server

    Tomorrow, I need to export 3 databases from one server to another using phpMyAdmin. I'm pretty confident, I can understand, but I want to be sure to leave a copy of the files on the original server. We know if there is an option that I choose to ensure that only one copy of the files are exported?

    I did several times without any problems.  Basic steps:

    1. Open PHPMyAdmin on the new server, and create a database exactly as your old server name.
    2. Open PHPMyAdmin on the old server, and then select the database you want to export, click Export.
    3. In the export window, make sure that all the tables you want to export are selected, SQL is the export and INSERT is the export type:

    1. Now click OK, a SQL script will now generate, copy and save this in a text file on your computer.
    2. So what you've done, it's creating an export SQL that maintains the original database intact.
    3. Select PHPMyAdmin on the new server and make sure you have the new database selected.
    4. Click SQL, paste the text and click OK, all your tables and the data should be inserted.
    5. If you have a localhost configuration on your computer, and then test this first.
    6. Don't forget to modify database connection files if the server host is different, or if you use a different database name, do not forget to change the name of it in the connection files as well.
    7. I hope this helps.
  • file not created when you use export to database

    I am creating a MAxL script to export the database but for some reason, the text file is empty (manual export works)

    Here is the script I use, any ideas on why it does not export the data

    set the error level.

    / * Connect to Essbase * /.

    Login "user1" 'password' on 'servername ';

    change the database for "Bud". "Budget" start archive file 'test ';

    database export "Bud". "Budget of all the data in the columns of data_file 'D:\\Hyperion\\essbase\\app\\Bud\\BUdtest1.txt '; »

    change the database for "Bud". "Budget of ' complete Archives;

    "exit";

    Not sure why you do the archives begin and end. When you perform an export, it locks the database. It could be the cause of your problems.

  • JDeveloper 11.1.1.5.0 export of database Oarable 11.2

    Hello

    I'm new to Java and Java running in the oracle database.

    I think I need to know how I can test a java class I did in Jdeveloper for JDK 1.5 compatible.

    I did a class java and tested. It works very well in Jdeveloper.
    But when I export the classes to the oracle database generates errors like:
    ORA-29552: verification warning: java.lang.UnsupportedClassVersionError: cabledrumPkg/Cable (Unsupported major.minor version 50.0)
    After some research on the web, I think it's because Oracle supports Java 1.5
    and Jdeveloper uses Java 1.6

    Now the question is how to jdeveloper for Java 1.5?

    My database:
    Oracle Database 11g Enterprise Edition Release 11.2.0.1.0 - 64bit Production
    PL/SQL Release 11.2.0.1.0 - Production
    "CORE     11.2.0.1.0     Production"
    TNS for 64-bit Windows: Version 11.2.0.1.0 - Production
    NLSRTL Version 11.2.0.1.0 - Production
    I use Jdeveloper 11.1.1.5.0.

    Kind regards

    Open the project properties, and then select the node of the compiler. Here, you can set the compiler creates 1.5 compatible classes. It must run in your version of db.

    unpack the entire table. But when I run this same query on the Linux environment it exports only the table that have data output. These table that have no value cannot export this query on the Linux environment. I use this query to export "exp userid = ABC/tushar full = file is = oraclebackup/oraclebackupJUNE17.dmp.

    Please give me some ideas to export the table data base on the Linux system.
