• in the export file name changes loses link catalog

  I'm a newbie LR3 (or any version of LR also). Been using CS4 and CS5 now for a little over a year

  & became comfortable with 5 Raw and Raw 6 now.

  I have the wierdest thing happen when I 'import' my photos in LR3 (no matter if it is a card or an external hard drive). I have created a preset in the section file to change the name of the file to import handling. So instead of the file DSC_0001.jpg, the preset I replace it (then), Mikes_photos_20100725_DSC_0001.jpg. Export works very well, everything is great. I even let LR running (and tried to restart the computer or the program), but when I get back later, the catalog cannot find pictures (image of low resolution cat., but not on the picture). I said that it cannot find "DSC_0001.jpg. It's right there in the folder it is looking, but the new name - given the file by LR3 when importing is no longer the short name but the most recent long name. When I click on the new name, he said something like, "make sure that you want to link this since both names are not the same?

  Does anyone else have this problem or can anyone tell me if I'm doing something wrong?

  Make backups to import? Is to make a second copy enabled in the import dialog box?

  I just reproduced the error rename you described (and mentioned in the thread I linked above): when you have backups to import enabled and a file with the same name already exists in the backup location, rename it on import will fail and leave a broken link between the catalog and the file.

• Import management develop presets for the different catalogs

  When I opened the different catalogues, it seems that some import settings are specific to this catalogue and others are applicable on any catalogue. For example, the option copy or simply add an image is specific to the catalog, but preset to develop is always used for the last import, or none if it was the option chosen.

  Is it possible to specify a different import develop preset on a basis by catalog? Also, is it possible to specify one develop different pre-set camera model (or maybe the other image attribute) in a catalog?

  My current version is the last level of update CC.

  Many parameters "last use" tend to be one-by-system, not one-by-catalog.

  While I use multiple catalogs, I never count on these parameters are correct. so I always check them on the assumption that they are bad for the current circumstance.

• Metadata/catalog information

  Hi all

  I write a connector obiee. The product that we develop will research reports created in obiee. I need some information where the catalog metadata (such as who created the report, creation time, and other information) is stored in tables or files .it. for Eg

  On the product we are working if the user has searched "Qtr report sales for the eastern region". It should show the link of the obiee report

  I just need help to determine where the information get stored.

  OK, so if you forget what is in the binary file, you still have the XML for analysis (reports) himself to get info.

  Take a look at the scripts in SampleApp, there has been a bet all columns used by each report etc., it's probably something interesting for your needs.

  If you need to be able to search for "titles" not written in reports no choice but to analyze the XML to extract the required information, but the positive point is that XML is 'easy' to read and understand, so you can easily find what kind of information to extract here.

  You may also want to take a look at short: it was possible to use it for what you're looking for. Short can be integrated with OBIEE to provide search on catalog objects (I don't remember the details).

• How do you export a preset that you have recorded for video export s/New Project Setup? (CS2)

  I know it's a bit outdated but CS6, I saw a little expensive. Anyway whenever I load a project I have the preset I want for my sequence, (resolution, fps, etc) and when I export I export preset I want. I want to find a way to get these in a file and where to put them b/c I'm getting a new PC soon and want to have that. I already did for Photoshop (CS5), but it was easier than that. I tried to look this up, but all the people ask is on presets for the 'effects '. Thanks for reading!

  Oh well too bad I found it and I guess I'll keep this here for others to find, but if you go into your file manager and do... (Windows)

  Type %appdata%\microsoft\windows\sendto, and then go to Adobe > Premiere Pro | then you just save these files, and if you go through the files, you will find .vpr who is your preset. I'm not sure about mac as I don't use mac and not want to.

• Export CC LR 2015.2.1 catalog for LR 5.7.1 image import

  I had many, many problems of crash with LR CC 2015.2.1 (on Win 7 & AND El Capitan) up to the point, it is totally unusable, thank you. I have a perfect condition 5.7.1 stand-alone version running on both platforms, as a fall back try to transfer my work since I went to CC back to 5.7.1 to what Adobe corrects CC, if they still do. While in 2015.2.1, I exported my work in a catalogue of temp on the desktop. Close 2015.2.1, open 5.7.1 and attempt to import the catalog temp get the error message "cannot import because if the new version of catalog" or something like.

  How does an an import of images that have been addressed in an earlier version and keep all the post processing or is it impossible? I'm sure I can import raw images to 5.7.1 via other means.

  I use LR 5.7.  Can I change my presets for metadata import import - but I can't find anyway to remove those that I don't have anymore. The drop down menu doesn't show any function removal. Please help me.

  Noise reduction paralyzes my system, so I need to apply it clamps before editing. I then export repaired clips and bring them in return for editing. However, when I check the 'Mail settings' box to the exporter, I never get the same kind of codec or wrapper that the clip was originally. If the clip is originally AVCHD, but first calls.   There are no avchd export, has never been.

  Matches the sequence parameters means you get the codec used in the sequence which means a codec to preview (usually I frame only mpeg and of lower quality)

  If you want to add the noise reduction (I guess not audio and video) before editing, then use an as Cineform intermediate codec which is now available in PP.

  I don't use dnxhd, so I can't comment on that.

• Export settings Preset - how to pass on to others?

  Adobe Media Encoder exchange of parameters predefined using the PRT file extension, then custom presets can be easily shared.

  Starting from the help file:

  Coding presets for SOUL 5.0 are saved to the following location:

  • Windows: \Users\ \AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Common\AME\5.0
  • Mac OS: /Users/ /Library/Preferences/Adobe/Common/AME/5.0

  In Adobe Media Encoder CS5.5 and later, encoding presets are located in the same location as the Adobe Media Encoder CS5 files.

  To import a file of the PRT, click the import button in the settings of SOUL window and navigate to the file.   I have a video consisting of footage of the GoPro. I've edited it together and distributed a reasonable SD (640x480px, 4:3) video using After Effects, Premiere Pro 5.5 and Adobe Media Encoder output (everything is rather ordered). So far, so perfect.

  The problem

  When I try to export the same images, properly edited, using the "Vimeo HD" preset (720px 1280px, 16:9), I get what I would describe as unacceptable "interlacing artifacts" around the edges of things. This is the problem that I'm looking for help.

  Background

  The camera images are 1280 x 960, some 25 fps and some 30 images/s. This doesn't seem to be a question that I get Adobe to mix on the output.

  My film is edited in hierarchical sequences, with the final sequence of 'master' with the same parameters as the images of GoPro native (1280 x 960, 4:3). This sequence I can export directly to the PP5.5 Vimeo SD preset and it's perfect. I put "made maximum quality" and "use interpolation".

  Then, to make the version HD I:

  • create a new sequence, with dimensions for HD to Vimeo, 1280 x 720
  • drop the above 'master' sequence in the new seqence, so there 4:3 images in a container of 16:9
  • scrub through the video, change the position of it so that my images still works in the new format without black borders or a ridiculous harvest. It is a bit of 'effect of movement', with keyframes.

  The result makes and plays perfectly 100% in the monitor PP5.5 window. So far so good.

  
  Now I select 'export', use the 'Vimeo HD' preset and export images. The result is cropped correctly, but there which resembles intertwining of the above objects.

  I tried everything first to increase different speeds etc and try all other settings to see if I could get rid of the artifacts, but nothing has worked. I have googled around, nothing selsible; I can not even find anything on people using a set of images of multiple pp image format, although it must be a common problem. Finally I came here and looked at the FAQ and fact research, still can't find anything, so here I am. Someone at - it ideas?

  If it plays perfectly on the screen but does not correctly export, then the problem is definitely at the stage of export, so there must be one of these settings, but I can't find out who and why.
  

  HA, if I switch to "uTube HD" screening, the objects disappear. The differences seem to be:

  • No keyframe specified distance
  • rate of 24 fps
  • Profile: main

  I suspect the frame rate is the problem, although I'll try each by a switch until I know for sure. I suspect the framerate because some of my images of entry is 25 fps.

  That's all: it's the framerate.

  Solution:

  1. Kindly pointed out difficulty of previous issues
  2. take the standard preset Vimeo HD and change the framerate at 25 fps.

  It's kind of strange that the framerate of the sequence is 29.97, but maybe I can see why he would do tat. In any case, who fixed, thank you.

  Is there a way including the summary of the screening used as comment in the exported pdf file? In Acrobat Distiller, you have an option called 'save adobe pdf inside pdf file settings', there is also such an option available in Indesign?

• Export of Presets to title on other computers

  Hello, I would like to know if there is a way to export the title Presets to other computers.

  We have a lot of presets title for names and more complex graphics and tables must be exactly the same on 4 computers, Premiere CS4 running. It would save a lot of work to just to do it once, these presets and then copy them to other machines.

  I guess they must be located somewhere in the form of single files, that would be great - or if not, is it possible to save them as files (as with export settings, which can be saved as files .epr).

  Copy all your presets in C:\Users\\My Documents\Adobe\Premiere Pro\4.0\Templates for the other PC.

  In the Panel of Services published on the left, right click on the Flickr service and select Edit settings. In the section of metadata, Include Copyright value only.
