Export of the smaller dimensions of PDF size of InDesign layout

Hi, a PDF looks like best when he is seen at the 75% zoom in Adobe Reader. How to export a document InDesign 80 pages in full to this resolution of '75% zoom' (so the customers can not zoom in up to 100% in a PDF reader and see artifacts)?

There are too many images to update/edit by hand in InDesign... I would just like to the original InDesign layout at 75% of what it is in InDesign, to see if that will improve the quality of the image when the exported PDF file is considered 100% export

Thank you!

Here's another approach introduced in InDesign CS6. It is now much easier create flexible layouts using create another Layout.

I have reproduced a presentation of 15 pages, set up in the format letter to implementation at the level of 75% (6.375 "x 8.25").

I used the liquid layout Panel to set master pages to the liquid rule in scale. This is changing everything on the page.

Then I selected all pages of the document, and applies control main liquid rule layout.

I created a new custom page called 75% scale size.

Then I chose the layout > create an alternative page layout. In the dialog, I selected the size of the original page and choose the size of the other page:

    Hi antjeh37833361,

Could you please export a Jpeg image and see if it exports.

Also try to export the RAW image in Jpeg format on the desktop and then see if it exports.

  • Export of the break lines in PDF format with interactive links

In all my years of work with the ID and export to interactive PDF, I always thought that to jump lines (Type > insert special character > marker > next number number/Previous Page) would export as interactive link in a PDF document.

But in doing research for an article, I was able to get the lines break to have interactivity in a PDF document (or a FXL).

Is this something that is broken?

Peter Spier has answered a question in 2009 https://forums.adobe.com/thread/431407?q=jump%20lines which indicate that the jump lines are hyperlinks. But he mentions looking window > Interactive. Which seems to indicate that you should take the jump lines and make them hyperlinks using the links Panel.

I expect that the link hidden in electronic jump lines would be automatically exported as a link in a PDF document.

I was wrong all these years?

    Hi Sandee,

I feel looking at the old thread, it is that you do manually jumplines hyperlinks.

  • Standardize the page to merged PDF sizes?

    Hello world

I'm trying to fuse together a PowerPoint 07 ' and an Excel ' 07, both set to provisions of page A4 landscape, in Acrobat 9 Standard.  However, in the final merged PDF, the old Excel pages are huge compared to the PowerPoint presentation - about 6 times greater.

Any ideas how I can force Adobe PDF merged into the same page size and orientation of output?

    Thanks in advance,

    Simon

I had this same problem. I sent someone a document 8 pages to which they signed 2 and scanned and delivered. When I tried to replace these 2 pages in my original CD (giving me a document completed and signed) the pages that I have inserted were lower than those of the original.

Follow THESE STEPS: the mouse on the left side of the bottom of the page in Adobe Acrobat format. You can see which pages are FALSE. In my case, it was the originals that were too big. I then printed them via the Adobe PDF printer. Select "fit to printable area" (check these dimensions which will be 8.5 x 11) when the document was printed in this way, it was easy to adapt to these other pages as they were now all the same size. Not to play with the zoom which is a nightmare.

  • Why is the size of my PDF from my InDesign export still big?

I'm doing a class project which is a document of four pages, the seven-image with very little text. The project must be submitted as a PDF under 300 KB. However, when I export the document to the title of the smallest size of predefined file and with the compression up to 72 dpi, I get a PDF file that is 612 KB.

All my classmates are able to get less than 300 KB, so I'm confused as to why mine is so great. I use 5 2 gif and jpg files and each take a in 5 by 5 inch paper square. They are relatively very small photos (approx. 250 KBS) and I have re-saved everything to be less than 100 KB, but the PDF size only drops to about 500ko I transferred between CC InDesign on Mac and InDesign CS5 on Windows and I wonder if this is a problem.

Just wanted to share the results, in case someone falls on this forum in the future.

Layout of danegonzalezfour-page InDesign, seven black and white images have been used.  Three pages contained two 5 "5" with images of seven lines of text under each image and the last page had one set of image-description of similar sizes.  A check of the PDF made on Acrobat (below) shows that the images made up the majority of the size of the file.

Since the images have some detail, I thought that changing their file type would be the best way to create a more compact PDF file and preserve the integrity of the images.  So I cropped the images to the size and saved PNG 24-bit files.  Even if the PNG files are larger than the originals, he gave good results PDF.  Here are the results of the audit of the PDF update after using predefined default to InDesign "smallest file size".

I am happy that we managed to solve this problem.

How can I make the smaller pdf file size?

    Hi vickyb,.

Reducing the size of PDF file requires Acrobat (one way is by choosing File > save as > PDF of reduced size). If you do not have Acrobat, you can try it free for 30 days. See www.adobe.com/products/acrobat.html for more information.

  • Export from LR CC, dimensions of the limited output and PPP

I tried to produce a file on board Long 400cm at 200 dpi for printing wallpaper, Lightroom won't let me not put 200 dpi in the resolution box, it is highlighted in red and flashes then a warning that a value between 1-63dpi is the option to select only.

I did in previous versions, someone at - it else encountered this or have a work around?

In the library module, select the image that you are trying to export these settings and look at the dimensions in pixels, metadata Panel. There enough pixels for the export to the size and the number of DPI, you are trying to use?

You have the option of "limit the size of file to:" checked? Or if you have "resize to Fit:" checked you also "do not expand" checked.

Please post a screenshot of the export dialog window, showing the entire window.

  • Resize all pages in a PDF to the same dimensions (height, width)

I have a big PDF file of several hundred pages in which all the pages have slightly different dimensions. I want to resize these pages in such a way that they will all have the same dimensions. I tried to do it with the crop in Acrobat tool, but if I get all pages in one fell swoop, the resulting dimensions of the page will always be the same for all pages. I can't get page dimensions the same if I harvest each page separately, which is not really fun to do with a 300-page document. Does anyone know if there is a simple way to do this in one fell swoop? I can always crop (rare) pages that do not perfectly match thereafter.

    Hi Bronwater,

You can print to the Adobe PDF printer to a desired page size, but it will flatten your PDF & the other option is going to be trimming the PDF file.

    Kind regards

  • I tried a trial version of lightroom 6 and edited hundreds of photots I need to find the export files are small non-printable, about 600 kbs. So I bought lightroom 6 hoping to save my changes on all the photos. However with my purchase of more than a week

I tried a trial version of lightroom 6 and edited hundreds of photots I need to find the export files are small non-printable, about 600 kbs. So I bought lightroom 6 hoping to save my changes on all the photos. However with my purchase of more than a week, my picture exports are still about 600 kbs. Not printable! I'm signed and registered. Whats happening?

Looks like you have been in the library module and chose with a preset export or export to email. Whatever it is, your Presets 'export' were to reduce the size of the image exported to about 600 k.

In Lightroom, the library module and under the file menu, simply select the Word Export. Who will open another dialog box. GO through each option in this dialog box to choose where you want to export the file, what color space to use, what name to give to each folder, what metadata to include and do not forget to select the export size! I included a few screenshots for your reference.

If you export exactly the same path several times, you can create your own export preset to make this process faster.

  • Export JPG at 100% is to reduce the pixel dimensions?

I'm using the most up-to-date Lightroom (5.5) on a Mac under os 10.9.4.

In the not too distant past (I only used Lightroom since April), I was able to export my images processed in full size JPEG format.  It is the physical dimensions... not the amount of data.

Now I can't figure out why, but Lightroom started to decrease my JPEG files. My test image was 4665 x 4000 pixels and there is a month Lightroom exported the JPGs to exactly these dimensions.  Since then, something changed (probably an update!) and when I try now to export the same image of his reduction of the size of the release of 1985 x 1702!

My export settings are set to 100% quality jpeg, resize options are turned off. Limit the size of file is disabled.

I trashed the preferences of Lightroom and Photoshop.

    Is happening?

I need to export these files at full size but Lightroom seems to ignore its own settings!

    Help!

    Adam

No - it's not it.but thank you for the suggestion

I just figured out the problem.

It seems that Lightroom had lost the original photo and was working on a smart preview file. Once I had located the original it recorded properly.

I guess that serves me right for not reading the manual before jumping into this App!

  • How to change the orientation of the page of a file pdf size and margins of page? Are there tools available to do this?

We're converting Lotus Notes documents in PDF format by exporting (printing) to PDF using a PDF writer but found that some contents are truncated or cropped. Must manually reprint in pdf format using a different page/paper settings in order to capture the content correctly. Are there other methods or tools that can automate this step? Would it not possible to change the PDF properties to adjust the size of the page, etc.?

Hope that there are some useful tools available as there are thousands of documents that have this problem. Thank you.

Page size options are limited, but are in the crop tool. If there are no tags or other markup, you can also print to a new PDF and adjust the size of the printer - sometimes the simplest interface, but normally not recommended. The rotation can be made in the menu document and then saved. The rotation, which is usually on the toolbar are only for the current view and does not record with the PDF file. Many of them you can use a batch process to solve (in AA8 which is under the advanced > Document Processing). The best method is to set up your printer Adobe PDF to create the correct page size and orientation to the future. You can configure to develop in general for the installation, select a paper size, and have set parameters for auto-rotation. The latest is based on the text that is on the page. The elimination of the margin is also part of the crop tool. I hope that gives you at least a few things to look at. Unfortunately, tools moving with each version, so you have to get the tools.
