Export release build, not including data XML files in the apk package

Hi, all.

I have a flash pro project I packed for AIR according to these steps:

http://Renaun.com/blog/2011/09/using-Flash-builders-mobile-workflow-with-Flash-professiona l-projects.

There are two differences:

  1. I am loading XML from right next to the swf files
  2. The Flash Pro project and the project Mobile share a directory that is outside of these two projects (this was the workflow already established in the public Service, given that several sovereign wealth funds share the same XML file).

When I test this on my phone, it adds the XML files to the apk and everything works great. The problem I have is that the export Release Build does not include XML files, and I don't see anything in the Flash Builder interface that looks like it will allow me to add more files than the swf file and the app.xml.

What Miss me?

Love - your comments helped me to think about this and get to the essential part that missed me. I've marked it useful, because it has shown the way.

I'm not a big fan of scoring own "correct" answers, but I'll do this time so that people can easily find the steps.

The error I thought that the "Debug on the device" was wrong to get an AIR debug version, because the swf file was not a debug swf.

I did not understand that if I clicked on the button run, it would also be a version out to push to the unit, and that this version would not give the message "waiting to connect to the debugger.

The entire process that you get when you click on 'Run' is a little weird (I say this to those who have never tried). It will install the application on the device, but does not launch (I think that this is impossible). Flash Builder crashes and then in "Installation application to the device. If you look at the screen, you will see a new download in your notifications bar, and from here you can launch the application.

To summarize:

  1. To start your swf Flash Pro package for Air using Flash Builder, follow the steps in Renaun (http://renaun.com/blog/2011/09/using-flash-builders-mobile-workflow-with-flash-professiona l-projects /)
  2. Doing this work on Mobile, you have probably installed on your phone in debug version. This uninstall using Astro File Manager (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.metago.astro&hl=en)
  3. Instead click the "Debug" button in Flash Builder, click on 'run '. This makes an apk without debugging and pushed back them to your phone (if your Setup allows debugging of the device).

Additional notes: If you have xml files that are packaged in the apk file and you are using URLLoader (because the app originated as a web application), add "app: /" at the beginning of the URL string you use. Thus, "xml/myFile.xml" becomes "app:/xml/myFile.xml". If you need to keep your original web application logic, add a conditional on Capabilities.playerType == "Desktop. »

Hope this helps someone else with the same problems

  • Cannot export release build

    Hello

    I created an application based on the Bluetooth SPP cat example, I now release and submit to the BlackBerry World for sale.  However, whenever I try to build the application, I get an error complaining an invalid active path.  I tried everything I could think of to fix the error, but I'm in over my head here and don't understand what goes wrong.  To verify that my key works, I've tried to sign a simple "HelloWorld" application and the release of build has worked well with this app.  However, whenever I go back to my app built based on the example of cat Bluetooth SPP export version build fails.

    I then decided to try to do an export release build on the example of cat Bluetooth SPP directly and I found myself with the same error.  He is shown below.

    Package failed: 1

    Questions 1)

    Not because the LRDATA file is fair previews, what LR displays on your screen for a faster loading of the image and will be recreated. The previews only stored in the folder LRDATA is the basic overview created at time of importation for the display of thumbnails and previews of 1:1 for images that you have actually looked in the Loupe View or I guess that appears in the develop module.

    He get all the data to create the image themselves file extracts.

    If you have several files on your system that have pictures in them and you select one of them that you have not looked at in a while, you will notice LR creation of previews for these images, there will be 3 white dots in the upper right corner of the thumbnail. It's LR creation of previews for the thumbnail view. If you scroll quickly in the grid view, you'll notice a few thumbnails of images are gray, until you stop scrolling, then the upper left tile will come in clear view and the white dots will appear on the other images. It's LR creating previews for those of other images. Once LR created the preview of thumbnails that are on your screen, white spot will disappear. If you scroll down again, you will see more white dots

    If you switch to another folder that LR begins again create preview images in this folder. The total number of previews created and stored based on caching of the preview you have in the catalog settings dialog in the management of the files tab.

    If not, you need not the LR Previews.lrdata folder. Whenever LR is not very good this folder with a catalog he recreates it to store previews in.

  • Cannot export release build for AIR app...

    Flash Builder 4.7 won't let me export a release build for AIR applications to all the...

    All started when I wanted to make some changes to an old AIR application.  Could not even run in the debugger, so I updated the AIR SDK (using instructions available here: http://helpx.adobe.com/flash-builder/kb/overlay-air-sdk-flash-builder.html and here: http://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/multi/how-overlay-air-sdk-flex-sdk.html )

    So after doing all this and a few other changes, I finally got my AIR application to run the debugger in Flash Builder 4.7.  The changes I wanted to make, and then tried to export Release Build...  Kept giving me an error "Incorrect password for this certificate" every time that I tried it - but she would never let me enter a password.  I went to the project. Release Build, export and on the first screen, I have to click on 'Next' and he jumped directly to the compilation, jumping on the screen where you are supposed to be able to enter the password and certificate information.

    Thought that maybe because it was an old AIR project, which was causing the problem.  So I started a new project AIR - one very simple with just a < s:Label > inside a < s:WindowedApplication >.  Project | Properties | Flash Builder package and created a brand new self-signed certificate (which seemed to work) but once again trying to export release build, he wouldn't let me get to the screen where you enter the password.  By clicking 'Next' in the first screen on project | Export Release Build jumps just directly to the compilation and (of course) it gives me the error of Incorrect password, because he never gave me a chance to enter the password.

    So what is happening here?  Why not export commercial versions for AIR projects?  It's extremely frustrating - Flash Builder 4.6 never gave me problems.  What can I do to fix the Flash Builder 4.7 so it does not work with AIR projects?

    Thank you

    L.

  • Lack of option "Native Installer" Export Release Build for AIR application

    I was wondering if anyone else has to face it. Regardless of the type of soft AIR that I work on all I get is the export to the file option. I'm updating with AIR 2.5 SDK Flex 4.1 SDK on a current install of Vista 64.

    You need to update Flash Builder 4.0.1 for the native installer option in the export Release Build.

    Your newspaper seems to indicate that you are on Flash Builder 4.0 (just using the SDK 4.1 won't, you must upgrade the builder himself for this).

    Hello

    This remove the control file:

    XMLTYPE(in_file_1)

    It is used only if the target table is an array of XMLType object.

    For an XMLType column LOBFILE is sufficient, for example:

    LOAD DATA
    INFILE *
    APPEND INTO TABLE TH_XML
    (
     col_id_1  CHAR (100),
     in_file_1 LOBFILE(CONSTANT "c:\simple.xml") TERMINATED BY EOF
    )
    begindata
    MYID1

    It tells SQL * Loader data consisting of one record with COL_ID_1 = "MYID1" and content = "c:\simple.xml" IN_FILE_1

    SQL> CREATE TABLE TH_XML

      3    COL_ID_1   VARCHAR2(100 BYTE),
      4    IN_FILE_1  XMLTYPE

    As EJP says, you really want to get the data in a single request, if possible (and I don't see why that shouldn't be the case).
    In fact, you really want to get this query to return the data as close the format you need as you can.

    If you did this on Oracle, for example, I'd get Oracle to produce XML that you can then turn (assuming that you could not itself produce the XML you want directly).
    In your case, using some db (access?), and then just get the line structure such as the conversion to XML involves the least amount of faffing about.

    Rethink the SQL and the rest should be easy.

  • Approach to analyze the large number of XML files in the relational table.

    We are studying the possibility of XML DB to treat a large number of files from same day.
    The goal is to parse the XML file and store it in several relational tables. Once in the relational table don't care us about the XML file.
    The file cannot be stored on the file server and must be stored in a table before analysing because of security concerns. A third-party system will send the file and it will store in the XML database.
    The file size can be between 1 MB to 50MB and high performance is very that much is expected of other wise men, that the solution will be discarded.
    Although we have no of XSD, the XML file is well structured. We are 11g Release 2.

    Based on the reading, that's what my approach.
    1. CREATE THE DONNEES_XML TABLE
    (xml_col XMLTYPE)
    XMLTYPE xml_col STORE AS BINARY XML NAVIGATION;

    2. third will store the data in the donnees_xml table.
    3. create XMLINDEX on the unique XML element
    4 create XMLTYPE views
    CREATE OR REPLACE FORCE VIEW (V_XML_DATA)
    SType,
    Mtype,
    MNAME,
    ROT
    )
    AS
    SELECT x."Stype"
    x."Mtype."
    x."Mname"
    x."ROT".
    OF data_table t,.
    XMLTABLE)
    ' / SectionMain'
    PASSAGE t.data
    COLUMNS Stype VARCHAR2 (30) PATH "Stype"
    Mtype VARCHAR2 (3) path "Mtype."
    MNAME VARCHAR2 (30) PATH "MNAME"
    ROT VARCHAR2 (30) PATH "OID") x;

    5. loading mass analysis of data in the staging table based on the column in the index.

    Please comment on the process that precedes any suggestions that can improve the performance.

  • RSS feeds save in the xml file in the device memory

    Hello

    I'm in the analysis of an RSS feed with SAX parser. Now, I want to record the first RSS an xml file in the memory of the device or on the SD card. Can someone guide me through this process

    To write in an XML rss content, start by creating the file with the extension ".xml" with the help of the FileConnection API, then write content (rss data) in the XML file.

    You can use code below to write the content in the file. We must give the path as a string & content in byte format.

    public boolean writeFile(String path, byte[] data)
        {
            javax.microedition.io.Connection c = null;
            java.io.OutputStream os = null;
            try {
                c = javax.microedition.io.Connector.open("file:///" + path, javax.microedition.io.Connector.READ_WRITE);
                javax.microedition.io.file.FileConnection fc =
                        (javax.microedition.io.file.FileConnection) c;
                if (!fc.exists())
                    fc.create();
                else
                    fc.truncate(0);
                os = fc.openOutputStream();
                os.write(data);
                os.flush();
                return true;
            } catch (Exception e) {
                return false;
            } finally {
                try {
                    if (os != null)
                        os.close();
                    if (c != null)
                        c.close();
                } catch (Exception ex) {
                    ex.printStackTrace();
                }
            }
        }

  • Form Validation failure: "value is not a date and time in the format"

    Hello world

    I am facing a weird problem in my custom OAF page. I'm displaying the records of a particular table through dynamic VO and dynamic array. All records appear correctly. But when I try to click on NEXT 10 records in a table, I get the error like "FAILED FORM VALIDATION: 1000 ORG CUST BO VERSION is not a date and time in the format. Just like in the screenshot below.

    DESKTOP.JPG

    Strange part of the question, if I select the columns to display not related to this day, so I only am not facing problems. If I select only dates to display and also am not facing this problem. If I use the mixture of this type varchar2 and data, I get this error.

    I tried to change the type of data but no use.

    If we close, look at the PARTY_ID error message trying to copy its data to ORG_CUST_BO_VERSION the last column. Why what's happening clue me less. Can anyone guide me on this please?

    The problem is that you use the same name for the creation of the MessageTextInputBean inside the Table.

    The name of MessageTextInputBean make it dynamic.

    ex: -.

    OAMessageTextInputBean oamessage = (OAMessageTextInputBean) createWebBean (pageContext,

    MESSAGE_TEXT_INPUT_BEAN,

    NULL,

    'text' + columnNo);

  • only main - app.xml and main.swf appear in the content of the apk package list?

    I use Flash Builder 4.5 Pro with Flex and Air to create an Android app.

    I have a basic, MBR called swf, but I keep my property all in MainAssets. When I start the game in emulation of Android, it works well, but when I go to export, only hand - app.xml and main.swf see.

    Now I saw a forum mentioning by dragging the asset in the word bin (I did find an automated process for this yet) and assets appear in project > export Release Build. It is great EXCEPT my camera says that I'm running it in debug? (there appName - Debug is listed as the name of the game).

    If I go to file > export and select Release Build, it will build a version of my game HOWEVER as hand - app.xml and main.swf appear, which means no assets, no game.

    So, questions:

    1. Project > export Release Build actually build a release or debug? (I manually install the apks because my camera is bellicose and won't talk about FB)
    2. How can I get all my files appear in file > export? (I would like to start writing my own xml loader, but if I can't Pack xmls, it's kinda useless)
    3. Can I automate this process somehow?

    Thanks for any help.

    I am traditionally a programmer C++ awesomeness automation Flash Pro has done for me in the packaging and test android applications has not compensated for how it was difficult to code.

    In the projects that I've been compiling, FB is not copying most of the files in the output folder when I do a project-> export Release Build. Not sure why it does not copy the files during the export. There seems to be a bug in FB who has been around for at least a year or two.

    I just worked around this issue for a long time by following these steps:

    Project-> Export release build

    Click on the button "next".

    On your Mac/PC manually go to your project folder and copy your folder full resource (MainAssets in your case by the sound of it) of the CBC to your project folder in your destination folder which should now have been created (for example default bin-release-temp).

    In, click the "Finish" button to complete the building of FB.

    Hope that helps.

  • Is it possible to include a native executable in the extension package?

    Hello

    I need to call the native code of the CS using the NativeProcess API extension.

    Is it possible to distribute a native executable file in the extension package?

    It seems that there is a way to include a 'regular' in a hybrid extension file, however, the file must be installed in one of the predefined locations (for example, "$applicationsupport").

    The problem is that to create a NativeProcess object in the extension code, I need to know the correct executable path, and I can't seem to find a way to know where exactly the executable file was placed by the installation of the extension program.

    Is it possible to install an executable file in the folder of the extension (that I can get to CSXSInterface.getInstance (.getSystemPath(APPLICATION)))?

    Thank you

    Anatoly

    Is it possible to install an executable file in the folder of the extension (that I can get by using CSXSInterface.getInstance () .getSystemPath (APP))?

    Well Yes, the answer depends on how you are packaging your extension.

    If you use the Builder Extension, you just need the executable file and are automatically copied into the folder bin-debug during the build process. The easiest way to do this is to put the executable file under src / folder. Another option is to make your own resources / directory and add it to the project's source path (see the section "Adding resources files, the path of the source project" here: http://help.adobe.com/en_US/Flex/4.0/UsingFlashBuilder/WS6f97d7caa66ef6eb1e63e3d11b6c4ce74 9 - 7fd8.html). Once you have copy to the folder bin-debug, you're ready, you can start or export as usual and your executable will be reflected in the record of the extension.

    If you use ucf.jar, just make sure that your executable is the file extension that you're packing.

    You will need to should not create a hybrid extension in order to have a CS extension that uses NativeProcess.
