  There are some other threads on this topic.  In version 13 and 14 a different slideshow feature is now available.  It does not have the kind of customization that we had in the 12 versions and earlier versions.  When I get the version 14, I'll keep 12 on my computer for exactly this reason.

  Currently, Revel only supports jpg files. We add many improvements, so this might change in the future. Read what some of our FAQ can be useful for you to get more information, so I'll include some here for you. Only 11 of the elements version has connectivity with Revel, but you can download files from your computer as well.

  Restart your computer. Then, follow these steps:

  On Windows:

  1. go to the Task Manager.

  2. click on the processes tab.

  3. Select "show processes from all users". In the list of processes, look for ElementsAutoanalyzer & dynamiclinkmanager.

  4. Select the processes and terminate it.

  5 reinstall the applications.

  On a Mac:

  1. go to the activity monitor.

  2. Select the process and "show all processes" in the drop-down list at the top of the dialog box.

  Based on the required system configuration listed in the http://www.adobe.com/products/photoshop-elements/tech-specs.html it seems that you can upgrade successfully.   You should be able to happen at least Mac OS 10.7.  You can also upgrade to 10.8 as well, but you want to check whether or not your particular iMac supports the 10.8.  Not all Intel Core 2 Duo Mac have been able to upgrade.

  I have prepared a slideshow with the Organizer in Photoshop Elements 6 and produced a DVD that has a good image quality but not excellent (I chose File - high setting of 800 x 600). In order to improve the image quality of DVD, I installed the trial version of first Elements 8. I've exported the first Elements 8 show and have several problems.

  1 the picture quality of the DVD produced by first Elements 8 is worse than that produced from the Organizer (Photoshop Elements 6).

  2 titles, transitions and the Bo does not show in first Elements 8.

  3 the sequence of slides in first Elements 8 is different then the slide show in the Organizer (Photoshop Elements 6).

  At the same time a menu pops up asking me if I wanted to convert the catalog to the V6. I refused because I was afraid that the catalogue of the V6 can be replaced, and I wouldn't be able to come back.

  Conclusion.

  My results are in agreement with your problems are NOT associated with Photoshop Elements 6 slide show used instead a Photoshop element 8 slideshow in the slideshow transfer to first Elements 8.

  To the test. Photoshop elements 6/first Elements 8.

  First, I created a slide show in the Photoshop elements 6 Slide Show Editor. It consisted of:

  (a) 19 jpeg photos each with dimensions of 3264 x 2448 pixels (which is not recommended to pixel dimensions but which has been used to highlight the project if possible... these photos are grossly oversized since the goal is a DVD VIDEO with standard 720 x 480 image size).

  (b) I used a transition wipe between each

  (c) I used the text inside photos (included in the text was a sequence number so that I could more easily visually follow the sequence of slide show after he was transferred to first Elements 8)

  (d) I added two audio clips as soundtrack (the first one I placed the start just before the last two photos to return on any audio synchronized as well as the loss of a full audio clip)

  Method 1: try to re - register the dll file and check.

  a. click Start , click run.

  b. in the run line, type cmd.exe , and then press on enter.

  (c) in the command prompt, type the following command and press ENTER.

  regsvr32 qtcor4.dll

  d. restart the computer and check if the problem persists.

  If the problem persists, then run the System File Checker scan and check if the problem persists.

  Method 2:

  You need to insert the Windows XP disk, and then run an analysis of System File Checker.

  a. click Start , click run.

  b. in the run line, type cmd.exe , and then press on enter.

  (c) in the command prompt, type the following command and press ENTER.

  Sfc/scannow

  d. restart the computer and check if that helps.

• How to change a slide show from a DVD in first 14

  I made a slide show dvd in first 4, on the old computer, I want to now edit a photo off that says dvd slideshow, but I now have a new computer with 14 Prime Minister. When I choose ' get media' "I choose"DVD player camera or a computer"the video importer opens with the STM to the slide show dvd. BUT when I click on 'Get media', for a bout 1 second, it says get Error Message file copy Media, then I already exists at: C:\user\Owner\Videos/ I click OK.    Then when I look in the files and folders, C:\user\owner\videos\, the only thing I see, is that a folder called "Capture" which is empty.      There before 14 first allow me to get something in my editing.  Is there a problem with the Prime Minister 14.  Help, please.  I had a lot of success with the premier 4 & photoshop 6 in the past, but 14 seems so hard.   I really know what you are describing, been there and found that with first elements 14/14.1 Windows.

  1 disc in the burner tray

  2 Premiere Elements open 14 experts workspace.

  3 DVD camera or computer in the selected drive

  4 importing video, VTS_01_1.VOB selected, press on get the media

  5 and an Expert, workspace has been affected by what follows that the destination be videos or Desktop.

  And the file did not already exist in one of these places.

  

  Solution for me... Close Premiere Elements. Remove the Adobe Premiere elements Prefs file

  and in the 14.0 folder, is the file Adobe Premiere elements Prefs that you delete. It is important to work with folder Option show hidden files, folders and disks enabled so that you can see the given full path.

  Reopen the Elements first, then try to use the camera or computer importing video and DVD player.

  a. open the disc in the tray of the burner

  b. the VTS_01_1.VOB copy on the desktop

  c. import that file in Premiere Elements with elements Expert first workspace add active media/files and folders/projects

  Dear friends,

  I have students on platforms Windows and Mac using Photoshop Elements.  I'm using Elements 8 on a Mac. When I tried to use the "Create" tab and select "slide show", that nothing comes.  I can click on the other options to create but not on the slide show.

  Is there a problem that will not allow to teach a course on Windows or Mac to do slideshows in elements?
