    Hello Experts-

    I have 145 tables of a certain pattern that I want to save for example export and import the same tables in another schema is possible?

    1. REMAP schema to use for this purpose?
    2. I must quote all 145 tables? or I can use '%' as all the tables I want export & import start with a certain word-(RECORDS_)?

    Thanks in advance

    Hi 885068,

    I have 145 tables of a schema of some I want to save for example export & import the same tables in another schema is possible?

    Yes, it is possible.

    REMAP schema to use for this purpose?

    Yes, it is the purpose of REMAP_SCHEMA. Import metadata and data from one schema to another.

    I must quote all 145 tables? or I can use '%' as all the tables I want to export & import begin with a certain word-(RECORDS_)?

    It's always better when you have total control of what you're doing. I prefer to put all the tables, of course it not easy, but you can use sql statements to generate the TABLES all = parameters you need like the following:

    SELECT 'TABLES='||table_name
    FROM all_tables
    WHERE owner = ''
      and table_name like 'RECORDS_%'
    ;

    In case of import, you need not specify that you must import because the entire dump contains the tables that you imported exported tables, but it is very advisable that you specify the tables.

    So if the tables in the target schema must be created with names different than the original, you must use the parameter REMAP_TABLE =.:

  • DataPump - expdp.open creates tables in the schema

    Hello

    I use datapump in Oracle 10 g to archive old main schema to another schema partitions.

    I noticed that when dbms_datapump.open is called and a new table is created by dbms_datadpump for internal purposes. This is verified in the oracle documentation

    http://docs.Oracle.com/CD/B12037_01/AppDev.101/b10802/d_datpmp.htm#997383

    Notes on use

    • When the task is created, a master table is created for work under the scheme of the appellant in the default tablespace of the appellant. A handful referring to employment is returned that attaches to the current session to use. Once attached, the handle remains valid until that either explicit or implicit detach occurs. The handle is only valid in the session of the appellant. Other handles can be attached to the same task from another session using the ATTACH procedure.

    Does anyone know if this table can be removed by a call to dbms_datapump Oracle 'clean', or if it has to be cleaned manually.

    can confirm that this is what you do

    v_job_handle: = DBMS_DATAPUMP. OPEN('EXPORT', 'TABLE', NULL, v_job_name);

    -The parallelism 1 value and add the file

    DBMS_DATAPUMP. SET_PARALLEL (v_job_handle, 1);

    DBMS_DATAPUMP. ADD_FILE(v_job_handle, v_job_name |) '_' || v_partition. PARTITION_NAME | ".dmp", "PARTITION_DUMPS");

    -Apply filters to process only a partition in the table

    DBMS_DATAPUMP. METADATA_FILTER(v_job_handle, 'SCHEMA_EXPR', 'IN ("SIS_MAIN")');

    DBMS_DATAPUMP. METADATA_FILTER(v_job_handle, 'NAME_EXPR', ' AS "' | t_archive_list (i) |) '''');

    DBMS_DATAPUMP. DATA_FILTER(v_job_handle, 'PARTITION_EXPR', ' IN ("' | v_partition.partition_name |)) ')', t_archive_list (i), "SIS_MAIN");

    -Use statistics (rather than blocks) to estimate the time.

    DBMS_DATAPUMP. SET_PARAMETER(v_job_handle, 'ESTIMATE', 'STATISTICS');

    -Start the work. An exception is returned if something is not installed correctly.

    DBMS_DATAPUMP. START_JOB(v_job_handle);

    -The export job should work now. We loop until its finished

    v_percent: = 0;

    v_job_state: = "UNDEFINED";

    WHILE (v_job_state! = 'DONE') and (v_job_state! = "STOPPED") LOOP

    DBMS_DATAPUMP.get_Status (v_job_handle,DBMS_DATAPUMP.ku$_status_job_error + DBMS_DATAPUMP.ku$_status_job_status + DBMS_DATAPUMP.ku$_status_wip,-1, v_job_state, m);

    js: = sts.job_status;

    -As percentage-complete in this loop changes, displays the new value.

    IF js.percent_done! = v_percent THEN

    v_percent: = js.percent_done;

    END IF;

    END LOOP;

    -Once the work is finished, view the status before you loose work.

    PRC_LOG (f1, t_archive_list (i) |) ': Export complete with status: '. v_job_state);

    -DBMS_DATAPUMP. Detach (v_job_handle);

    -Use STOP_JOB instead of DETACHING otherwise 'master' table that is created when the OPEN is called is not removed.

    DBMS_DATAPUMP. STOP_JOB(v_job_handle, 0, 0);

  • Export tables bit!

    Hi all

    I have a database that has 50000 tables. Now I want to export only 6000 paintings out of it.

    Generally in command exp, we will use the identifier "Tables" to export tables that we want. But above scenario, we need to mention the names of all the 6000 tables tables?

    Is there another way to do this?

    Kind regards

    Pradeep. V

    Hello

    You can use something like that to use the results of a query to drive what is exported:

    See you soon,.

  • Export tables selected when running

    Hello

    We expect to write export query table in our database to oracle 11 g 2 using EXPDP. We want to include only a set of tables, in the export dump file. This series of paintings, are stored in the main table.

    So, at any time, we do export tables that are out of select table_name from master_table

    Ex: aa/aa@aa expdp tables = "select table_name from tables_to_exp '...

    Yat - der a way to achieve this?

    Thank you!

    You cannot use the parameter TABLES in such a way. Use INCLUDE:

    expdp aa/aa@aa include="table:\" in (select table_name from tables_to_exp_owner.tables_to_exp)\""

  • Import only tables of a schema to another

    Hello
    Is there a method by which I can only import tables among all objects of a dump of export file schema.
    I a huge diagram that contains about 300 tables inside and have completed the import once. Since major changes are required in can the schema of objects in order to make them compatible with the new Oracle env, reimport all the new can cause crushing each other which is something I want to avoid strictly.

    Also, I am aware of a method in which in the clause of paintings, I can specify all tables in the schema and then put it in her parfile and then try to export and import. What is the only way to achieve this?
    Please suggest.

    Thanks in advance,

    Assume that you use 10g.
    Her you might use the data pump-it-up tool and specify the exclude statement. :)

  • create existing table in another schema

    Hi master,

    We are using oracle 10g R2 on linux.

    I have a scheme say user1 with many tables, starting with

    BC_ (50 PICTURES)

    PC_ (20 TABLES)

    LC_ (30 TABLES) etc.,.

    now, I want to create these tables in another schema with their constraints and their privileges in another schema.

    as I want to generate a create table script, which will create a table that begins with "BC_" only. another script will create table starting with "PC_" only. and like that.

    is it possible with the command

    create the table AS
    Select * from (old scheme). (table_name);

    can we use query sub in it to be more precise?

    and it will transfer all its privileges and grants the new schema?

    Thanks and greetings
    VD

    It is possible to CREATE TABLE as SELECT from a different scheme but CREATE TABLE as SELECT will transfer only the data and the structure of the base (column names and data types) table, no constraints.
    I think, you have two options to do this easily:
    (1) use SQLDeveloper (GUI) or a procedure from PL/SQL DBMS_METADATA. GET_DDL to generate the SQL script to create table with constraints, you can use INSERT INTO new table (columns) column SELECT FROM oldschema.oldtable
    DBMS_METADATA Description: http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/B19306_01/appdev.102/b14258/d_metada.htm#i1019414

    (2) export a schema data, import it into the other using Data Pump or exp/IMP.

    I understand your logic, but you think too much of it. Charge function Styles opposes the need for an export feature. When you call the function of load, you simply select the source document, then the individual styles that exist already in it. They need not be implemented beforehand.

  • Create table form another table in different schema throwing error when dynamic sql

    Hello

    With the help of 11.2.0.3 and was following the issue.

    To create a table in a schema (b) using data from another schema (b)

    If independent run in sqlplus create works OK but same sql in dynamic sql block saying the table or view does not exist.

    SQL even in dynamic sql

    {code}

    v_sql: =' create table new_table in select * from schemab.table_name where...';

    run immediately (v_sql);

    [code}

    Other tables work fine.

    Any ideas - don't want to grant all the schemaa.table schema b if can avoid.

    Thank you

    You run the immediate execution in an anonymous block or a stored procedure?  If it is a stored procedure, then as others have said, the owner of the procedure must have select privileges on granted directly schemab.table_name.

    Another possibility, which would be the case for a stored procedure, or an anonymous block is that your code is something like:

    v_sql: =' create table new_table in select * from schemab.table_name where...';

    immediately run v_sql;

    Select count (*) in the l_count new_table;

    who will fail at compile time because new_table does not exist.

    When you create objects using dynamic sqly you dynamic sql user to reference them in the block of code.

  • Select all the tables in the schema

    Hi, I'm looking for x, y of the tables in a schema, get the error "missing expression," working with oracle 11g.

    declare

    v_sql varchar2 (4000);
    number of v_x;
    number of v_y;
    number of V_n;

    Start

    for rec in loop (select table_name as table_name from all_tables where table_name like '% oumou %' ORDER BY 1)

    v_sql: = ' select a.idnumber, t.x, t.y, table (sdo_util.getvertices (a.geometry)) t OF ' | Rec.table_name | « a » ;
    V_sql EXECUTE IMMEDIATE v_n, v_x, v_y;
    dbms_output.put_line(V_n|| v_x || v_y);

    end loop;

    end;
    ...
      --only for fetching implizit CURSOR cur1
      CURSOR t2 IS SELECT CAST('' AS VARCHAR2(20))idnumber, CAST(0 AS NUMBER) x, CAST(0 AS NUMBER) y FROM dual;
      rec2   t2%ROWTYPE;
    ...

    To the implicit CURSOR cur1, you can set a variable-FETCH with CUR1% ROWTYPE.
    So, I defined an explicit CURSOR t2, bringing me the types for the columns of results:
    IDNUMBER (VARCHAR2 (20)), X (NUMBER) and Y (NUMBER)
    This T2 of cursor, I can set a % ROWTYPE VARIABLE t2 to fetch the results.

    Please give points for the solution.

  • EF - Oracle privileges to select tables in different schemas

    Hi, my scheme has only 'connect' and 'resources' privileges, so when you create an .edmx file I see only the tables associated with this particular scheme, when I connect with the diagram of the SYSTEM, I see many many schemas tables, I then added "select any table" my old scheme, but always the same set of tables , what I want to achieve is to select/change/delete others some tables of specific patterns, what privileges do I have to add to be able to do?

    Thanks in advance

    By default the connection shows only certain patterns. You can get EF to show you several of them in this way:

    In Server Explorer, right-click on the connection and go to 'change the connection '. Then click on the "Filters" tab

    One of the filters is to display schema. You can have multiple values in that, he must add the schemas you want to make sure and save the connection.
