• Applications behave differently in "debug as" vs "run as" exported version vs - what happens?

  I'm porting a java Flash game and it goes well. When I run it on a device (playbook in this case) or on the desktop through "debug as" the game works perfectly. I can load levels and play, no problem. However, when I do a ' run as ' instead, on the Playbook, the ball (it is a Pinball game) diseapers at some point (always the same). Worse still: when I export version release a I try, the level will not even run (the application stops responding).

  Who uses _exactly_ the same code. "Debug as" is OK, "run as" mostly OK, but loses the ball, 'export' accidents. This may be the cause? Different compiler options? I'm completely lost with this one, so any help is welcome.

  I use flex builder 4.5.1.

  OK, I found the problem. The next line of the compiled code and has worked well in the debugging, but not in the version:

  trace ("some string") ();

  When you call the function that has this line, the framework seems to be analyzed (because the accident happens on the function call, do not loading the application), and somehow that threw a StackOverflowError on the line.

• Save the file to the shared folder in Release Build works, but not in Export version

  We are ready to present our application to App World. However, we noticied when testing the 'export release' that build our file saving function of does not work (the file is not be saved - but the folder we created). The file records fine when running in debug or release mode, but not to export the final file.

  Is - this all simply because we are not supposed to try to run the bar directly exported version file and it should work once on App World? Has anyone experience this problem?

  We are trying to back up the folder "shared/music/AppName" If that helps.

  We have corrected it. We were writing somehow to the wrong address in the "shared". For some reason, it still worked when you use version debug/directly from the IDE, but does not when exported. That's all now works well.

  Hey all the... I wonder if I can pick the brains of the people and get good advice re: practice based experience recommended device (f/w? /) s/w version (s) for all PC activities oriented the TELUS Mobility BB Tour 9630, including PC-resident s/w (pkgs) & USB / USB Serial drivers (on XP Pro SP3).

  I will probably be wanting to improve various (f/w? /) components s/w after a hiatus of three years on the BB before... However, based on my own experience of technology, newer / more recent (f/w?) / s/w (pkgs) is (are) not always the best for the end user and, same can be limiting in some identifiable ways... I'm speaking in general terms here... so... it might be the last BB s/w is the absolute best way to go for my PC o/s and turn device platform... I'm just out there throwing this idea to make a educated to determine what updates to install and what level of version, in the case where the generalized suspicion that I have described above have no worth.

  For your 9630, you're already on the last level of operating system that fate/Telus media. I don't know if other carriers have published anything more advanced, but you can read a very good discussion here:

  Of after what I saw, I would assume that there is nothing 'new' than you... at least not officially... but you can dig through the portal to download official to validate the fact that:

  Given that it's carriers who hold responsibility for the release of BB OS packages to their clients, this portal is indeed sorted first by carrier... so you must first dig to find out which carriers support your 9630 and then compare packages of OS coming to present each company support. Unfortunately, it is also the responsibility of carriers to release change log information, but too much of them is rather lax on this point. But this thread I linked to above has I think some very good information that could help you in your quest. You should also look for other threads here (and elsewhere) on similar topics.

  Desktop software does not care the specific device. On the contrary, it gives some capabilities that you choose. For example, if you need the ability to export your BB to CSV/ASCII, then you need to stay in the range of version 6 because this feature has been removed from version 7. Similarly, if you intend to synchronize your BB with a computer (-) office or PIM, you must make sure that you run a Desktop software version that is compatible with your PIM:

  If none of those that are important and/or compatibility is fine with the latest version, it is often wiser to stick to the latest bug fixes, feature enhancements, etc. Is doesn't want to is not to say that people have no problems with the latest version through the Desktop board software on this site is confirm that pretty quickly! But, in general, there should be no harm/no foul to the use of the latest version of the with your BB desktop software.

  In addition, it is always a good idea to also download and install on your PC the BB OS package that is actually running on your BB. This is a little personalized Desktop software so that it can better work with your specific environment of BB. You cannot choose which components within the desktop software you want to update (mentioning "point line" you did)... instead, you install the whole package, and it contains within everything there as 'in progress' based on the global version of the Desktop software package.

  Unfortunately, Apple has not yet released a bug fix, but if you consider the number of iOS users have been touched by the update in 9.3, it should be available soon.

  Under the version release candidate of Win7, I was able to run Civilization 4 and Star Fleet Command 3.  Now, after installing Win7 Ultimate licensed version, I can't play either of these games.  I followed all the recommendations posted on this site and others but have not been able to solve the problems.  CIV 4 does not work due to the cd when cd is in the drive and just SFC3 locks the computer.  I really like Win7, but think to give up and reinstall Windows XP, which would be a major undertaking at this stage.

  Hello Squidoutofguam.

  Games don't work under Linux at all accepts by emulation, and to be honest with the applications as big and complicated as the games will not have much success.  They are written for Windows.

  More details without some its going to be hard to solve the problems.  Obviously something is not configured properly with your machine, or there may be hardware problems at work here.  I had no problem with SimCity 4 or Civ 4 (even if I use a crack no CD for Civ 4) on my machine (64-bit).

  The first thing I would do would be to get the latest drivers for your video from the nVidia Web site card.  The second thing I would do would be to close all background applications, and finally then I would probably run a test on your RAM, (just search Windows Memory Diagnostic in the Start Menu).  I have also try to create a new user account and try the games under this one.

  If you could be more specific with what games works, by Microsoft do you mean the built-in Windows games, or titles such as Age of Empires, Halo or Gears of War?  And how they work not, error messages, crash dumps etc.  This would help.   What do you mean by "correct version of packages?

  Packets are container for versionnables items, but the packets themselves do not have a version. If you need to export multiple versions of the same package (with a different workflows and other elements set) or with different versions of workflow and other elements, you can put a descriptive text in the name of the package file when you export it. For example, when you export the package com.vmware.library.configurator, you can change the file name by default of com.vmware.library.configurator.package to something more descriptive like com.vmware.library.configurator - v1 - demo.package

  I am building a mobile application from flex using Flash Builder 4.5.1. The application works very well on the device (Nexus S) and office in debug mode however, whenever I export the Release version of what the app is not automatically installed on the device. When I manually install .apk it fails also (get the message from the Application that is not installed with the green check mark). Any thoughts?

  The problem was with signing of certificate (.p12). As soon as I created a new certificate, everything worked took place.

• BlackBerry smartphone App world is the non-touchscreen version intended for the other BB

  My app world is the version of no touch screen on my storm 2.  He changed this month, when I downloaded an upgrade to this topic.  I tweeted RIM on this subject and they told me to uninstall it and download it again.  This did not make a difference however.  And now that RIM haas updated twitter, which also spent in the version for non touchscreen phones and can't do the good version to which either.  It's strange because all the other stuff I download from app world are the version of the storm, even after he screwed up.
