  You should always see this icon that only the text of the label could be hidden.

  We know all that JPEG doesn't support transparency, but the attached file is in JPEG format with transparency and opening the file in Photoshop cs4 its error display (screen shot below) and I tried out in the procedure below

  Opening files in ms-paint and new re-registration in png or JPEG, but shows error like this "complete transparency will be lost" (screenshot attached)

  Another thing to try in photoshop cs4 is to go to file > open as and select PNG and then click Open.

  Lightroom offers the user any scope to change the algorithm used for JPEG. So, you are stuck with the workaround.

  BTW, if you're printing house online cannot handle JPEGs from Lightroom I would look for an another printing house.

  Erin,

  With PNG (preferably PNG24), you can check transparency and get rid of the background.

  The clear format of artwork no photo would be PNG24. It is important to create the exact size that it should be used, or it will be blurred. You can create it at this size, using points/pixel as the unit and save for Web. You can check the size of the window the size of the Image where you can also check Art Optimized.

  I fear, however, you may be out of luck: maybe the format will be changed to JPEG, and size will also change by Facebook software.

• Question of export BMP 8 Bit - cannot force them to use the color range

  I want to export in BMP 8 bit (to save the file from BMP24 space) but Fireworks can be convinced to use all 256 colors and uses only of 80 colors in a smooth gradient, leading to an ugly jerky gradient.

Needless to say, I hate the color of the navigation bar, but cannot be changed because my logo is not transparent. Quick pointers on how to do it?   Here are a few versions of your logo with transparency. They look as if the background is white, because it is the color of the forum

• When I right-click to save an image it won't let me save the image otherwise that as "all files".

  When I right click on an image to make a backup because it won't let me save the image in jpeg format, what is on the menu drop-down is "all files" that records under a bunch of numbers and letters, etc. It save it as an aspx file.

  Try to add the .jpg file extension yourself if Firefox does not when you save an image file.
  
  If you have already saved images with an incorrect file extension, then rename them and add a .jpg file extension. Check the properties of the file via the context menu to see if that worked.

  I created the design in indesign and then exported as a PNG file, the background was always white because to achieve the shape of the design, I used a piercing group. After removing the background in photoshop, it is that I find myself with, but what I want to know is, is there an easy way to change the color of the text in the lower part of the black to white in photoshop, rather than change the color of the text in indesign and repeat the whole process?

  Just make a selection of words and then use a fill color adjustment layer.

  (Layer > fill new layer > solid color)

  CTRL or command click the thumbnail in the layers panel, and then subtract from selection of everything except the words.

  Use the rectangular selection tool while pressing the Alt or Option key to subtract from selection of everything except the words.

  Convert the image to grayscale. Make sure that the colors are 100 %K, you may need to adjust the curves to achieve.
