Extended metadata date / time shift

Up for it seems that Lightroom 3 can only enter a new date / time for the Meta data creation / change / change the values. Or it can change the weather not 1 hour to fix timezone problems whitin has set +/-range.

Now imagine all that I have image files from different cameras on the same event and the internal time of the device is not the same to any camera, medium, for example a camera time is 20 minutes late (-20 min) compared to another device. Of course, so I could enter a time for the moment of creation in lightroom directly. But I should do for 300 images?

I need a function extended the date / time modified:

It should be possible to make a change of the batch of pictures of +/-hh to adapt the images from a camera (which had a bad interal time setting) to real-time or at least an hour from another device (of course you need to know the difference in time between the hours of the camera).

Such a function is properly provided by the software bit EXIFTool - but it isn't pleasant manage files outside of Lightroom image comes to alter time. And Lightroom already has a function for this - but its possibilities are not good enough.

Please implement this as soon as possible.

Best regards

Jochen

If you type "change the capture time" on the Help menu, you'll find this:

If more than one photo is selected in the grid, Lightroom changes the capture time for the active photo of the specified adjustment. (The active photo is presented as a preview in the Edit Capture time dialog box.) Other photos of the selection are adjusted by the same amount of time. If more than one photo is selected in the Filmstrip in Loupe mode, comparison, or investigation, the capture time is changed only on the active photo.

This should answer your question.

  • How to display metadata date/time for the clips in first Pro CC per frame

I am trying to find a way to display the date and time of capture of video imported from different cameras. In the Panel the metadata, I see that there is a date and time when the clip was created, however, I'd like to be able to see this data in date and time displayed on the screen on a basis of image by image. It would help me synch with still images, I'm looking at the respective time of capture of the still the framework where the taking of photography yet (or any other event) can be seen in the video.  It would also help with the addition of captions or titles and help synch video from different cameras inputs.

For me, being able to see the capture of time of each clip (and frame) is a replacement for the obvious digital age of the Council clapper, is there a reason why this feature (or lack of) is not more important?

    Any help or thoughts welcome.

Premiere Pro can't do what you ask in itself.  My best guess as to why would be that it is not altogether appeal to such a thing in professional production, it is really more than an 'amateur' function to show the date and time on the screen.  The professional equivalent would probably be timecode, which PP peut show on clips, but time code usually has no relationship with the date and the time that the clip was recorded.

For standard definition, the program DVDate was good to solve this problem.  I don't know if this software applies to high definition, or if another program can do the job.  You may need to search around.

  • Video metadata date is incorrect: the value and not of creation date sharing

10 iOS, iPhone 6 +, Windows 10. Photos and videos are shared through iCloud, but NOT stored in iCloud.

Once synced on my PC, the photos and videos have a truncated name (for example, "016a1f2e11dfcc680e1009cb96346b67678fb2c6bc.jpg"). Of course, this is not acceptable at all to me when I organize them on my NAS: I prefer a significant, sortable name, as "2016-09-16 18-15-20259 (Apple iPhone 6 more) .jpg.

To do this, I simply read the EXIF information directly from the image, and I rename the image accordingly. No problem for the photos.

But for videos... I do the same, in the world, but with less information. I can extract only creation date/time from metadata of the videos, not the unit that captured video. Sad, but I have not found anything else, and at least it's automatic.

Recently, I found that the date in the video file is NOT correct: this is the timecode of SHARING via iCloud, not the timecode CAPTURE. I have therefore some videos with a delta of two weeks between the true creation as well as the "official" date

I checked this on my phone: date is correct (once the video is no longer in full screen, the date is displayed at the top of the screen, and it is 'the' date I'm looking).

So, question: How can I get the date of the 'real' creation of all these videos on my PC? It exists: it appears on the iPhone that took the video (a woman) AND mine. Information is 'lost' only on the PC, but I think it's a problem of reading of 'bad' metadata (I use FFMPEG to get currently), or the wrong file for reading (perhaps within an iTunes/database file, but didn't find, not found in the registry or the other).

Best solution is to find something operate locally, through the command line, to do it in batch mode. A solution of GUI PEUT agree if I can automate with AutoIt (i.e. should not be a native Win32 application, not Java, .NET, GTK, QT and so on, OR must have an export feature). A solution based on the web is not suitable, but can be less boring to review each video one after another to manually check the date.

    Thanks in advance.

In my opinion, the only way to fix this is with third-party software like this one.

  • root properties in the connected data store: error when accessing the date/time storage

When you browse the properties my connected data store I get an error message when you try to read the value of the property of 'storage date/time': object doesn't support this property or method.

    Here is a minimal example:

    Dim oMyDataStore, MyProperty, oMyProperties
    Set oMyDataStore = Navigator.ConnectDataStoreByParameter ("TOC", "" & "C:\Program Files (x 86) \National 2012\Examples\Data\Example_data.tdm" & "" ')
    Set oMyProperties = oMyDataStore.RootElements (1). Properties
    For each MyProperty in oMyProperties
    Call MsgBoxDisp ("property name:" & MyProperty.Name & + "\n"&"property value:" & MyProperty.Value "")
    Next

Why can I not access this particular property by default?

    Hi Phex,

for the date/time properties, an object called UsiTimeDisp is returned. This object allows to that extend features of service as access to each part separately (day, year, hour, seconds,...) of your date/time value. If you want to print the value of time with MessageBoxDisp, you can use the VariantDate this object property.

Your code might look like this then:

    Dim oMyDataStore, MyProperty, oMyProperties
    Set oMyDataStore = Navigator.ConnectDataStoreByParameter ("TOC", "" & "C:\Program Files (x 86) \National 2012\Examples\Data\Example_data.tdm" & "" ')
    Set oMyProperties = oMyDataStore.RootElements (1). Properties
    For each MyProperty in oMyProperties
    MyProperty.DataType = eTime Then
    Call MsgBoxDisp ("property name:" & MyProperty.Name & + "\n"&"property value:" & MyProperty.Value. ' ") VariantDate)
    On the other
    Call MsgBoxDisp ("property name:" & MyProperty.Name & + "\n"&"property value:" & MyProperty.Value "")
    End If
    Next

    I hope this helps.

  • Problem with Capture Date & time change

I just became aware of a problem with the Date of Capture use to is very strange. Initially, a brief explanation of the import workflow I'm used with jpeg image 6 iPhone since Lightroom Mobile was presented. The images appear in the section of times iPhone app Photo, and from there I transfer to a collection in Lightroom Mobile. Once the collection syncs to Lightroom on my Mac (running latest El Capitan), they sort by capture time and I make choices and rename images. I have a naming preset that adds automatically the date to all the images. Recently, I noticed that some of these images, but not all, have been appointed with the wrong date. I had traveled without my computer - only my iPad, and it was a month before the images have been synced on my Mac it was very obvious that the dates were incorrect. The problem may have expressed earlier, but if the date was off by a day or two he would not have been as sensitive.

The problem occurs when I take pictures with the app in time of MomentLens company. I use the application because it is designed to work with instant attachment lenses and the case of the Moment (which makes no difference in time to capture problem).

Once that the images are added to LR Mobile news for images show good capture date and time. That's when they images sync for LR (latest version) that the problem occurs. And this is not a problem of LR Mobile, such as changes of date and hour occur if images of the iPad are added to LR without using mobile LR (from the iPad to Mac with AirDrop). Looking at the EXIF metadata Panel in LR, images taken with the iPhone camera app show three dates: Date time Original Date time digitized and Date time - all the which three are the same. Show only pictures taken with the application of the time Date time, but it's the same as in the iPhone Photo app and in LR Mobile capture time. However, when I show info on imagine in Lightroom, the time that appears to capture the time is the time that the image has been synchronized (if it came at LR Mobile) or the time that the image has been added to the iPad over wifi. It is also the time that is added to the preselection of naming. Note that if I send a picture directly from the iPhone to the Mac with AirDrop the date and time is correct.

For the life of me, I can't understand this anomaly. I did thorough Imaging tests, and it happens only with the application of the time - other camera apps do not exhibit this problem. Interestingly, LR recognizes both the time Soft, which is reported under EXIF on the range of software and the lenses of the Moment when it is used with the iPhone the Moment case.

If anyone has any ideas I'd be pleased to entrance. Thank you

The link to the file is Dropbox - Photo of the Moment

I have just confirmed with Exiftool that the sample file does not EXIF:DateTimeOriginal, although it does not contain EXIF:DateTime.

You can send the following to the current time, the EXIF 2.3 specification:

  • Change of date/time...

I have a question about the change of date and time... Thank you very much in advance.

I have. CR2 files and I want to edit the news ' date time original "... I want to change this info in the raw file, so I clicked on the checkbox "write date or time changes to in files gross owners ' in the catalog settings window... and then, after the change date and time with the 'edit capture time', Lightroom wants to save the changes, and after clicking the arrow on the thumbnail It creates a file. If date/time change is to write directly to the raw (because of catalog above settings) file, why does the Lightroom create sidecar .xmp file?

There are two things going on here.

    1. When you change the capture date/time (Date time Original), the change is immediately reflected in part EXIF metadata Panel in the library module. Because it is a modification of metadata, the arrow of the warning appears on the thumbnail (if you have configured to display display options)... and by clicking on this button brings up the dialog box "metadata changed, want to check the disk. Note that this happens when you do any type of metadata change, not simply by changing the date and time. At this point, you can either decide to write the metadata to disk, or not... If you write that replaces your XMP metadata I assume you mean 'Save', but if you don't then just ignore it. Of course if you say 'Save', then Lightroom will do as requested and write metadata, that if it's a DNG, JPEG, TIFF etc., metadata are written in the XMP in the file header section... but if it's a RAW owner then it is written in a sidecar XMP.

    2. the second thing is that if you have the ability to set in the catalog settings to save the changes to the date and time in the raw files owners, then the change you make is reflected in the Raw file... it is a different change to the updated XMP.

  • Recover/place current date-time in the text box

Hello, I wonder if someone has experimented with dynamically retrieve the current computer date/time and place this information in a text box? Looks like a simple enough action, but I can't find any documentation related this topic. I suspect that this method of appeal and retrieval behavior could serve as unexpectedly in many situations for many people!

    -joel

You don't need a script to do this.  In the Type menu, there is a submenu "text... Variables. ».  This will set text variables and store them in text boxes.  There is a predefined variable called "Release Date", which will display the date current (MM/DD/YY) when a PDF file is output.  If you want to display the time, under "text... Variables. ', go to 'Define'... ", and you can define your own.  Under 'Type', select the release date and add any desired variable data.  The format of date and time should look like this:

    HH: mm: MM/DD/YY

I found that only update text Variables in the display very consistantly, but I just tested it, and whatever the value is, the PDF output has time and date.

If you want to control the text with javaScript variables, see the classes of TextVariableInstance (s) and TextVariable (s).

As a side note, the text variables work very well if you want the date and time, page, etc., but I really wish they would add a little more features, especially with things like name of separation, color profile, and PDF output profile.  It would be a huge timesaver that all of this type of metadata inserted easily.

  • [8i] problem of calculation of Date/time...

So I am currently faced with a situation where I need to calculate the total number of hours that a workstation is in use for each day in a given period. I have a table with newspaper each time that each workstation is used. The problem is a workstation can be used for any period of time, commencing on any day and ending on any day. This means that a particular log entry may extend over several days. I don't know how to split the difference between the time of the end of an entry and departure date/time of entry over several days.

Here is a sample table and some sample data for what I'm doing:

    123A          3/5/2010     2.50000
    321B          3/5/2010     0.00000
Is this possible? (Please note that if the workstation was not used on a particular day, I want to show him 0 for this workstation for that day). Another thing to note is that I work with Oracle 8i.

    Thanks, I appreciate it.
A surprising number of people on this forum does not seem to see the value of posting something specific. It's a great relief to work with someone who does.

I said how I could not simply subtract two dates, t1d - T2D, in a place determined; I had to use TO_NUMBER (t1d - T2D). Maybe even workaround will be used here.

It may seem reasonable (at the time your conclusion and your frustration): intervals have been introduced in Oracle 9. (However, I noticed that sometimes "what's new" were actually available, although without papers, in earlier versions).
Yet once again, how are the bind varibales defined? Looks like they are the timestamps. Subtracting two DATEs results in a NUMBER, but by subtracting two stamps produced an INTERVAL. You can change to the DATEs where they are defined?
Try to use TO_DATE or CAST in the subquery p, to ensure that it produces DATEs:

    , ( -- Begin in-line view p to define parameters
SELECT CAST (:start_date AS DATE) AS min_date
              , CAST (:end_date AS DATE) AS max_date

My NEX-6 will only keep the date/time information after I put it. He was dead when I got it, but after the normal battery charging to full and using the camera, whenever it is turned off, it forgets the time. I did some research online, which said it may take a while to recharge the internal battery, but I tried to charge for 24 hours straight, and using the camera frequently (as described in the manual) and doesn't seem to solve the problem.

Once, after leaving unused for a few days, I noticed that he miraculously started saving the date correctly, even when it is off. This lasted about a week, but now he has lost the ability to keep the time again, and with the charge Jack did not set.

Any thoughts? Apart from sending to Sony to repair?

I tried the factory reset but that did not work. As I don't have a battery (and don't want to buy a second, in which case it is not the problem), looks like I'll need to come back for the service.

  • Daylight Saving Format Date/Time String vs get time in seconds

    Hi all

I have developed a real-time application using a cRIO 9074 which has two loops. The first gathers data and records the time using the module of ' string of Format Date/time ' with the following time sting: '%d/%m/%Y % H: %m ". The output is a sting with mouth/day/year hour: minute.

The second loop Gets the cRIO time using the module "get Date/Time in Seconds ' and the output of timestamp is sent by a shared variable for an application that is running on a local computer.

The problem started Sunday last with DST. With the help of MAX I am able to see that the time of cRIO is bad (1 hour less) and that him "automatically adjust clock for daylight saving time" is not checked and gray, so I am not able to change it.

The time of the first loop by using the "Date and time Format string' returns the time elapsed between the cRIO (1 hour late), however the time of the second loop is OK. I have manually corrected time using MAX, so now the first loop is correct, and the second is now over an hour.

    Any ideas?

Dear RavensFan, thank you very much for your answer.

However, this was not the problem. Apparently the result with or without the element of DST is the same. I solved the problem, for now, by changing a parameter not on the function "get Date/Time in Seconds" but on the time stamp indicator.

By right clicing the indicator and go to the display Format and the advanced editing mode, I have changed the Format string to a universal time container of this: %< %="" h:="" %m="">< t="" %="" ^="">< %="" h:="" %m=""><>

Apparently the time from the 'get time in seconds' is still an hour longer, but now it is correctly displayed.
