External CD drive does not recognize the CD burned on El Capitan.

Using El Capitan 10.11.5 and an external hard drive, I have burned successfully mp3 files iTunes CD - I can play on the computer itself - but an external CD drive does not recognize, even if the Player recognizes the discs once engraved on Snow Leopard and previous models.  What's wrong? I burn "at the fastest possible speed," as I have always done.

What CD format?  If you burn it to a CD mp3 this is not very common for a standard CD player to be able to read those.  You may have burnt the other CD audio CD format.

  • CD/DVD drive does not recognize the DVD media disc.

    Greetings,

Had problems with my CD/DVD drive not being able to recognize that a DVDmovie disc is in the drive.

I tried to turn on/off, reinstalled the driver, update the driver, check if AutoPlay is enabled (currently set to invite me) and have used the Microsoft Automated Troubleshooting system which could not solve the problem.

I am able to burn data and audio files on CD/DVD very well, it will read the same types without problems.  But whenever a DVDmovie disc is, it does not recognize, there is a disc in the drive, or Autoplay hit.

Also clean the laser lens with isopropyl alcohol.

    Thoughts?

Honestly, I had not checked immediately after I cleaned the lens, but it works now.  I am convinced that cleaning the lens resolved.

I had posted this, and then read somewhere else to clean the lens, has made, edited my post saying I had it done and then tried a DVD and it worked.

  • Portege R830 PT321A - 3 G Modem driver does not recognize the device

    Hi guys,.

    I'm having a strange problem with the model PT321A - 01 K 002 concerning the driver of Modem 3 G.
I tried all the drivers available and Wireless Manager sites Australia and European I can find and it just won't recognize hardware.

To clarify, we deploy a fairly clean Win 7 64 bit build and at the end of the 3G modem is the only device not recognized, it is reported in the device under "unknown devices--> download software... Manager Strange, but "Software Download" is actually the name of the device.

Hardware is * USB VID_0BDB & PID_100E ID * which, during all my reading, seems to be the 3G modem. No matter what I do, even a fresh copy empty detail of Win7 64 bit can get 3 g drivers to recognize the hardware.

I guess that I install the drivers in the wrong order? I tried several combinations but cannot make it work! We buy more in addition to these with the component of the 3 G and I need to be able to deploy our SOE to it.

    Any advice?

    Thanks in advance! -Matt

  • moving files from music to new drive__windows external media player does not recognize the new location

to increase disk space on my computer running Windows XP, I added an external hard drive and moved the folder "my music". I would then be able to delete the folder my music in the C drive and access my music in the new car, but Media Player think I deleted all my music and my library has disappeared.

How can I move my music files to the new drive, remove them from the C drive and have Media Player still keep my library and create a new file path?

    TIA

Where exactly your playlists are located? They are always on the C:\ drive, or you also move them to the external hard drive? The default location is the My Playlists folder in my music .

Make sure that location of playlists is also in the list when you press F3. If this doesn't help, you can manually drag and drop those playlists from Windows Explorer to the WMP library.

  • DVD RW drive does not recognize the DVD movie in Vista 64-bit

I installed a new graphics card and feeding a few months ago but I don't know when this problem began to arise. I can play games like Civ IV CD-ROM and Battlefield 2 PC - DVD discs and I can also play and burn CDs. But the DVD of movie I have both played in the computer before and can play in a DVD player are not recognized by the disk drive. When I put a DVD movie, the player starts to make noise as it's read, but suddenly stops and repeats for a few minutes. If I try to open the disc through the window of the computer, a popup tells me to please insert a disk into drive E:.

I also tried the Microsoft Automated Troubleshooting service, but it did not come with a solution. My driver for the disc drive is so up-to-date. Thanks for any help.

More info: the drive is an Optiarc DVD RW AD - 7201S 5

    atfernine,
Thanks for posting on the Microsoft Answers forum.

Try to remove the system disk in Device Manager and then restart and let find Vista and resintall the device.  If you have software and / or the drivers provided by the manufacturer, those must be uninstalled and reinstalled.

You can also try a back a system restore date before the problem occurred.

To restore the operating system to an earlier point in time, follow these steps:
    Click Start
Type system restore in the search box, and then click System Restore listed programs.
If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type your password or click on continue.
In the System Restore dialog box, click on choose a different restore point and then click Next.
In the list of restore points, click a restore point created before you started having the problem, and then click Next.
    Click Finish.

The computer restarts and system files and settings are back to the State they were in when the restore point was created.

  • Portege Z930-118 does not recognize the external USB CD/DVD drive

My new Z930-118, with windows 7 64 bit home, does not recognize the external CD/DVD drive when I plug it into the USB port.

The CD/DVD device does not even appear at all in Device Manager.

I already checked for the "upper_filter", "lower_filter" with the regedit, but entries are not there, so no help.

    Hello
I m not very well how to help you.

I found some information about this WEIRD disc and it seems that he didn't need an external power supply. Its USB bus powered so I guess around 500mA power since it is the default value provided by a USB 2.0 port.

I don t think that there is a problem of missing software. It is a plug n play device so you need to connect it to the USB port and the system should automatically recognise.

From my point of view of the few you try to connect the external USB ODD two ports to aid a * Y * Cableusb.
I think the reader needs more power provided by a single USB port.

  • Windows 7 64 bit does not recognize the USB external drive HARD Stor E art 3.5 "

Use a USB to see if has been a problem with the USB ports, but all 3 are OK. Try it on the laptop Asus and windows 7 recognizes the HARD disk. I formatted the drive in NTFS FS. This is a really silly situation. It can be recognized by other laptops but not your Qosmio.
According to the description of your HARD drive when connected simply doesn t exist for your Qosmio laptop.

What you can try is to reinstall the chipset driver, restart the laptop and test it again.

  • Aspire One d255 does not recognize the usb connected external ssd drive

I want to replace the original HDD 160 GB with a 120 GB Samsung ssd 750 evo but bios and win 10 does not recognize the ssd drive as an external drive connected via a usb connection, so I couldn't create an image of my internal hard drive.  Is there a way to clone my hard drive SSD, so I can exchange the disc later?  I need to update the bios, install a missing driver, etc. ?

I used two different connections: one is a 2.5 "SATA case disc that I used with a disk 2.5" HARD and works very well with the HARD drive and the other is SATA/IDE connector combination with cables for SATA and power and none of these works.  I read in another forum during my research that the Aspire One d255 doesn't recognize any external SSD connected through a USB either.  Since my netbook has no data, and I had just a pure 10 Windows installed on his drive HARD internal, I removed the 160 GB HARD drive and replaced by a 120 GB SSD and installed another Windows own 10.  It worked and my system boots now in less than 20 seconds.   We can close this thread now since I now have a faster machine fully function.  Thank you!

I tried to find the driver for Vista for my computer, but not found RAID.
Tried it with XP drivers, but no longer works.

Do you have an idea where I can download Vista drivers for RAID?

    THX

    Hello

Your suggestion is good. The Tecra S3 supports the RAID, and the RAID driver is required to install the OS on the HARD drive.
On the European driver Toshiba page I found a RAID for XP driver.

I put t know if this driver will run under Vista, but I recommend to test.
The RAID XP 1.3.8.0 driver version can be downloaded from this site:

Please note; You can store the RAID driver on an external USB and Vista should recognize it!
