External drive are more recognized.

My external hard drive (USB) is not recognized after update firmware multiport.  Is this a known problem or is it possible to re - install the update?

Don't know if the update of the firmware directly hit the hard drive in question; If

you have access to another computer, you might see if the drive itself is OK.

Another possibility is that the hard drive has chosen time to fail (the pregnant, maybe)

This coincided with the update; the disc in the box can be good. And to

time, a hard drive could be located by using so that no visible disk utility on the

desktop computer. Sometimes, if an external hard drive is interrupted during a reading / writing, he

may not appear later on the computer. Sometimes, another cable can help. Or

If it is available to test with another adapter, too.

Have you read this other thread similar problem for ideas?

Multiport USB - C map update will not install

Sometimes an external drive or other connected device can be seen again after

a reboot; or after a re-defined SMC. Not a sure thing, though.

Sorry I do not have a precise and realistic response to cure this disease.

In any case... good luck!

  • my dvd/cd drive and all other removable drives are more recognized since an update from microsoft

I need help! My CD/DVD drive has disappeared, it is not even in the BIOS, and all the other removable disks since I installed an update from Microsoft. I went through all the troubleshooting steps and nothing has worked, including the fix it. How can I fix it? I contacted Microsoft and back an email that I had to PAY for technical support to resolve this issue. Which seems hardly fair since there was an update on their part that messed up my laptop. I have a Gateway MX8738 with Vista Home Premium. I have not seen the error messages it just that there is no CD/DVD drive installed and when I check in my computer the only things that are displayed are the drives C and D.

    Hello

Step 1: Please do all the same underneath if you did some before as is often total
a process that solves the problem.

Try this - Panel - Device Manager - CD/DVD - double click on the device - driver tab.
Click on update drivers (this will probably do nothing) - RIGHT click ON the drive - uninstall.
RESTART this will refresh the default driver stack. Even if the reader does not appear to continue
    below.

Then, work your way through these - don't forget the drive might be bad, could be a coward
cable or slight corrosion on the contacts (usually for a laptop) and other issues.

Another possibility is that the cables are loose. Remove ALL power, then check the cables

power and data of the contacts with a pencil eraser.

Some DVD players do not use the Windows default drivers so check with the system manufacturer

Step 2: You have disc problems as the CD/DVD is actually 4 discs in 1 case

To my knowledge a registry problem was detected. This can occur when more than one service is defined for a device, if there is a failure at the opening of the service registry entry, or if the driver name cannot be obtained from the service registry entry.

As far as I know Microsoft provides these options of solution:

Click on uninstall and click Scan for hardware changes to load a usable driver.
Restart the computer using safe mode, and then select last good known Configuration. This cancels the last successful configuration of the registry.

In addition, you can try to remove the Upperfilters and the LowersFilters of this registry entry:
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Contro l\Class\ {4 D36E965-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318}

If it doesn't help then access Device Manager Reinstalls the channel primary and secondary section ATA/ATAPI IDE controller and reboot.

    Good luck and bye

  • External hard drives are not recognized by Lr4

When I plugged my two external hard drives to my computer this week, Lr4 does not recognize them. Each folder has a question mark by it.

    Appreciate any help... Thank you!

Dave, none of us "aid" are employees of Adobe, we're all users just like you... it is a user forum where we all help each other.

Return to the specifics of your problem, "eject" is a function, you should find the area of the Windows taskbar system tray, but you may need to click the little pointing up (marked in blue on the attached screenshot) arrow to 'show hidden icons', which will reveal a bunch of other icons and the one you need is marked in red. Click on that to reveal a list of devices that can be ejected, select the one you want and wait to be advised that it is safe to unplug.

To be honest, I would never disconnect a drive just unplug him.

Regarding your other external drives, like I said that Windows will assign the first available drive letter, unless you use the "edit the drive letter" option to assign a specific drive letter... in this case Windows will remember this assignment and will subsequently always use this letter provided it is available at the time of reconnection. In other Windows do not book the drive letter, but it will use it if it happens to be available.

For this reason that I attributed to all drive letters my backup hard drives that I regularly remove after use, so I know I will always get the same letter each time (which is fundamental to my backup strategy).

  • Windows update - USB devices are more recognized after installation

Finally, I uninstalled all recent updates and arrested "windows update". • Alert security Windows Vista - presentation are more recognized

Since 3 days when I turn on my computer, I see the shield red/white X of Windows security alert in the notification area of the taskbar (lower right corner).  When I click on the alert, the message under Protection Malware says: The Shield Deluxe 2009 Antivirus (installed since 6/09) is on, but its status as a statement to the security of Windows in a format that is no longer recognized.   I have rcv automatic updates of Windows and the latest definitions for Defender are installed (KB915597 definition installed on 04/02/10 1.75.377.0 & definition installed on 08/02/10 1.75.517.0.  The Shield Deluxe is auto-updated on a daily basis as well.  I got an alert from Sun Java Update for more than a week now.  Thinking that this might solve the problem, the latest version this AM and restarted.  Always had Windows Security Alert.  The only other thing different I did was run a utility of IYogi - registry cleaner.  An overview of this greatly appreciated glitch!

After having experienced the same message with the Shield Deluxe on my PC, I called the support staff of the shield. They said not to worry about this.
The problem is caused by an update by which Vista Security Center does not recognize the shield. If the alert message gets on my nerves
You can turn it off. I don't remember exactly how I did it, but I think it's somewhere in the Windows Security window, where it says "change how Security Center alerts me". Your computer is always protected.

  • DSLR images are more recognized? Adobe Premiere Pro 8.2.0, OSX 10.10.2

A few months ago, I upgraded my mac to Yosemite and around the same time updated first.

First CC 2014 now has major problems with DSLR images.

First of all, I could get some DSLR footage in, but every time that I rubbed through it in the timeline panel or monitor the image source would freeze, then the software would be locked up.

The film worked well on a PC running the latest version of first, and there is nothing unusual about this film-. MOV, .h263, same type of material that I work usually with,

I tried to open several other projects (mainly in the non-DSLR images, but.) Vom exported by other sources) and CC 2014 works very well with it, so I think it's just something specific to this sequence.

Today I try to do a few different sequences of DSLR first CS 2014 and it won't even find themselves in Media Browser. I try to drag the. MOV file and I get an error that the file is not recognized. I tried dragging a file from my internal drive, same problem.

I still have installed 7.2.2 (finally the complete liberation of Adobe CC before it was a new wording 2014). Who takes the fine images in Media Browser and rub through it, as I expect.

What is going on? What is Yosemite? Is this first 8.2.0? Adobe dropped suddenly supported native DSLR files and now expect us to transcode everything?

    Help, please.

Yes, I'm not sure why Vinay response was an agreement policy: it would have been useful to show publicly.  I didn't uninstall Premiere Pro CC 2014, you click Yes to delete the preferences also, then immediately re - install.

Here is the message from Vinay:

    Hi Brian,.

We noticed this problem recently on 10.10.2 and we are trying to find the possible cause and according to the information I have this problem could occur due to licensing issues. So, it might be in the process of upgrading OS license files are corrupt but right now I can't comment on that. Please follow the instructions to clean uninstall Adobe products and the re - install again.

Please uninstall all Adobe applications manually in the Applications folder one by one. Once pass below places and delete specific files.
