    (1) disconnect the battery & adapter then press on & press and hold the power button for laptop for 30 seconds then switch on and check if the wireless led lights.

    (2) go to Device Manager then uninstall the drivers wireless network card and restart the device and check if the light is on.

  • WIFI and BT do not work on Satellite C850-F12S

    Hello
My friend has a portable Satellite C850-F12S who wouldn't start so he asked me to fix it.
I used a Windows 7 disc retail and product key as his cell phone to reinstall windows.

I downloaded the Atheros wireless, intel drivers and realtek, but none of them want to install. I have the seam of Ant to get the wifi or bluetooth, too much work.

When I enter the serial number in this site it is said that it is bluetooth and wifi but the drivers wont install and when I go to "network and sharing", "change adapter settings" it only shows the ethernet adapter nothing else. I tried pressing fn + f12 and the wireless led turns amber, but still nothing.

I ran out of ideas. Could someone help me fix it please?
    Thanks in advance

I can't read this specification for laptop (too small), but so deep is the product key, which means that this laptop model was offered with the original version of Windows preinstalled.
Before that you're wasting your time trying to fix something I recommend you install the original version of OS which includes all necessary drivers, tools and utilities.

I just hope that your friend have created recovery (DVD or USB) media because after your Windows disk recovery facility installation HARD does not work.

Ask your friend if there a recovery media and use it for the installation of the OS.

  • Keys FN + F2... F12, two finger scroll not working not Portege z830-10 q

    Hello

I just bought a Portege z830-10 q, and there are a few items that do not work.

FN + F2 to F12 shortcut keys don't really work, or any other nice combination of FN + SPACEBAR, etc., is not the button to disable the touchpad below the space bar.

Also, I can't get the function two finger scrolling works.
Interestingly, the FN + ESC and FN + F1 to work.

I saw something in a previous comment on flashcards, I checked that and tried to play with the settings, but they don't seem to work either.

Don't know if I need t download no additional driver.

Any help on this would be much appreciated.

    Hello

I assume you are using Win 7. Is this good?

In this case I recommend to uninstall the first added value package.
Then download the VAP driver Toshiba UE page and install the new.
You may need to reboot several times the system after removing the VAP.
Value added package contains a few essential tools that are in charge of mobile extra features like for example FN button feature.

By the way: the two fingers scrolling option must be checked in the control panel-> mouse-> last tab-> Advanced Settings button
You will find all the options of touchpad.

  • Qosmio X 875: Fn + F12 plane on / off, but do not activate WLan or BT it / off

With Windows 7 installed, I remember very well that every time I hit the F12 key, he toggled between on / off WiFi, Bluetooth power, wireless devices all the WE / OFF.

But now with Windows 8 and the new Toshiba Software for function keys, it just allows to switch between "Airplane Mode" and "Airplane Mode" that turns the Wi - Fi and Bluetooth ON and OFF at the same time.
Via the function key, now I am unable to simply turn on Wi - Fi and away from the Bluetooth.

Now, what I like is that there are Visual indicators of Volume and screen brightness.

Hopefully soon a fix in the F12 key.

    Thank you.

From my experience of winning 8 airplane mode disables all devices on the PC, including Wi - Fi, Bluetooth and NFC wireless. If you want to not put in power only WLan or BT then I recommend you to do it in the settings-> area wireless laptop

    Hey dude,

You can disable completely portable (System) to access the BIOS or to get the menu boot device.

How to do this is described here: [to a complete stop in Windows 8 | http://aps2.toshiba-tro.de/kb0/TSB2B03EY0002R01.htm]

  • Re: Lost shortcuts Toshiba FN + F1... F12

    I reinstalled my Win7.
Now, I've lost all my shortcuts on Toshiba FN + F1... F12.

    How can I reactivate them?

If you have reinstalled Win7 using the non-Toshiba recovery image you will have these shortcuts.
In general the right name is flash cards.
To install again Toshiba Value Package added. (VAP)

You can find it on the download page of Toshiba.

  • Retrieve Satellite C850-F12S - currently installed Win 8.1

    Hello!

now, I installed Win 8.1 and I want to restore it to its original state to Win 7 Starter but don't know how to do, I bought my C850-F12S Satellite with Win 7 Starter.

I not create recovery image so m lost on how to get it back.

    Someone help me please

If you have not created the means of recovery in the past, then you will not be able to recover the laptop.

The disk HARD recovery isn't possible because the HARD drive recovery partition has been eliminated during the installation of Win 8.1.

You have only one option to do: you must order this recovery disk:
