• Satellite L350 - plug inside the broken laptop, what can I do?

  You know very well what you can do. Find someone who can fix it. Either you contact Toshiba or try to find a few independent electronic stores and ask for help. They can weld or swap with the new part.

• A500 - essentially broken w / ICS, game store does not

  I recently tried using A500 old dad (which he has not used in the years since getting an iPad). Since he could not remember the lock on the screen, he performed a factory reset from recovery.

  INITIAL CONDITIONS:

  • Android v. 4.0.3
  • Google v. 3.4.7 play

  The Tablet starts fine, stock apps work fine most of the time, but the Google game store refuses to work. What happens when the app is opened is:

  • 'Android Market is upgraded to Google Play'-> select continue
  • Charge for a while, then invite the acceptance or the decliniation of the terms of service.
    • Clicking on accept always leads to "Unfortunately, Google play store has stopped."
    • The decline gives the obvious result (closing store Play).

  Proposed solutions to this problem (given by other threads) include do a factory reset (in fact twice), empty the cache (no), erases data from the app (nada) or uninstall updates (no option to do so). Nothing has worked.

  Curious to know if this could be corrected with an update of the system, I tried to perform a system update, which I get the message "the network coverage is currently low, get better coverage to continue my friend." I guess it's either because:

  • Acer pulled their support ICS for the device
  • My camera is already at the limit to update.

  Whatever it is, I can't solve these problems. I'd rather not install manually the apps that I want to the apk, but to do this, I guess I have to downgrade to the honeycomb. But to do this, I got to the root of the device (which is against the will of my father).

  TL; DR:

  • Game store will not open at all, after accepting the terms of use.
  • Some other applications do not work fully (e.g. YouTube - opens and searches, not loading videos, updates to the app redirection leads to the first problem)
  • I guess this is due to the failed release of ICS on the A500.
  • Would rather not use the manual install APK / rooting the device.
  • Any suggestions?

  I assume you mean LiveDock? (SmartDock is a different accessory).

  Try to uninstall the update for LiveWare manager and then reinstall it again.

  Settings > Apps > (tab) all > LiveWare manager > uninstall updates.

  If this is not enough, you should try a data reset to factory settings > Backup & reset > reset data.

• Have a bootloader unlock unlock code still says NO - there must be a way? Advice?

  Last year I bought a network locked xperia u - now obiously with updates, the device has slowed to a crawl and I started to throw the thing around the room in frustration (apparently running a facebook, g + and twitter app + ICS is too large for the device :/))

  So having taken realize I made a mistake by buying the U I bought a unlocked SP that is running much better. But now I want to play with the U - I just want to remove some of the bloatware off just to satisfy my curiosity it can work better.

  The question I have is that the bootloader is defined on no. Now that I have read a lot of discussion on this issue, but they seem to all go off on a tangent and seem to never answer the question.

  So my question is if you have the unlock code from the operator can you unlock the bootloader and if so, how? I inserted a different operator SIM in the you and entered the code but the bootload remained 'NO '.

  Any advice? And please note that I am new to this sort of thing, but eager to learn - however, if you try and install some bloatware on me by burst of hot air is not anywhere as some of the threads I've seen and wasting my time so get ready for a bore!

  You can not unlock the bootloader. It seems that this phone has been locked on a carrier/network at any given time, this is why you can not unlock the bootloader, you can SIM free / unlock the phone to be used with any other carrier/network, you can even Flash a different firmware, but still you will not be able to unlock the bootloader

• Digital audio problems on Satellite A300 (PSAGCA-06M01N)

  Not all A300 are equipped with a digital audio output
  However, if you are sure that your laptop supports this feature then it should be possible to operate

  You must make sure the digital output was chosen as default in Control Panel-> sound-> the Read tab.

  If the digital audio output will not appear in the sound options then you must right-click and must check if both options are enabled; Show hidden devices and show disabled devices.
