• Facilitate communication instrument via VISA/dll library

  Hi, I just receive a new piece of equipment that I would like to order via Labview and I am having trouble to communicate began with the device - a spectrometer in Acton (previous on the topic post). The device can connect via a usb or RS-232 cable and appears in as COM 5 and correctly Device Manager the label as the spectrometer of acton.

  I have the instrument dll file and the header file and a detailed description of all the functions but I'm scared, I am at a loss to know how to start. I already wrote labview programs to communicate via the read/write functions VISA but this instrument communicated through hexagonal orders and seemed easier for me to work with this new instrument where it looks like I need to send commands to chain - I'm getting lost in the syntax and correct structuring of the functions. The node to call a library function lists the functions of the dll, but I'm not clear on how to take of the generic Sub funcname (void); and match it to their arguments and the functions described.

  I'm also not sure what options I have to communicate with the instrument, is using the dll with node to call a library function at a level equivalent to sending a command string via the entry VISA, or are what they used in combination or can the nodes to call a library function be used alone for release with the instrument? I understand that these questions are very basic/generic I have just had trouble finding resources to learn the answers to these questions as links to be NEITHER documentation/examples or other messages from the forum would be greatly appreciated.

  I am including as an example some info on the first basic command I would start as per - a simple device search command:

  I have on my maschine 2012 LabVIEW and NI Veristand 2012.

  I am trying to open the 2012 2012 LabVIEW Veristand in project. Here's the sequence that I made:

  -Open Veristand separately (Yes, I know, it can be called with the help of command line)

  -Run the vi as illustrated in the diagram below:

  

  -as in the photo above, I received error 1172.

  I checked in my task manager--> there is no double open veristand

  I restart my PC, repeat the same procedure--> does not work. Received the same error message.

  Method 1.

  This occurs when you have external speakers, by default. We need to put the headset as default.
  Perform the task mentioned to set the headphones as default:
  a. Click Start, and click Control Panel.
  b. click sound, and then a new window will open.
  (c) in the new window click on the tab 'Read' and right-click in the window and click Show disabled devices.
  d. check if headphones are listed and then right-click on it and choose activate.
  e. Select this headset, and then click "Set as default".

  Method 2:

  Check with the volume settings and if it helps:
  (a) right click on the speaker icon in the taskbar, then select volume control options.
  (b) check on "all devices evolving sound.
  (c) make sure that you have "Default uncontrolled communication device".
  (d) place a check on the speakers and headphones.

  Method 3.

  a. right click your sound icon.
  b. click playback devices.
  c. right-click on the reading tab.
  d. click Show disabled devices.
  e. right click on the playback tab.
  f. click Show disconnected devices.

  Method 4.

  check your connection. The most likely source of a complete cessation of the features is loose or unplugged connection. Make sure that the USB cable is correctly plugged into the USB port on your computer and do not move when shaken slightly.

  b make sure that the headset is selected as audio device by default. When a device is listed as a default value, it automatically will be used, even when the other output (such as speakers or a secondary microphone) devices exist. To make your audio/line-in helmet device by default in Windows XP, go to (accessible via the menu 'Start') Control Panel then click on the link "Sounds and Audio devices" and click the tab "Audio". Then under the headings "Audio playback" and "Voice recording", select your headset in the drop-down list. Then the same things in the "Audio" tab click the 'OK' button to save the changes.

  c check the status of the driver. Device drivers are small pieces of software that facilitate communication between computers. To check your device drivers, go to the Control Panel, select 'System' then go to the 'Material' on 'Device Manager' tab and go to the section of sound, video and game controllers. Click on the yellow arrow to show installed audio and audio devices. If you see your device listed, your drivers are up to date. If your device is not listed, or it has a yellow exclamation mark next to it, you need to reinstall or update your drivers. See Manual of the owner of your headset for more information about how to install the drivers for your specific model.

  Hello. Not too sure if this is the right place but multiplayer potential is one of the most important things in the social game and so I guess that there is not, but when I googled for AIR I don't come with a lot. Multiplayer for IOS happens quite interesting, but I don't target that platform.

  Someone there knows something about this and if it's easy or not to implement. EASY is a stupid Word - lets say that I am not the best CGRP in the world - could I implement multiplayer info/quiz for example app?

  Peer-to-peer games

  Since Flash Player 10, you can create multiplayer games without needing an intermediate server to facilitate communication of player.  Flash Player can use a (Adobe Real Time Media Flow Protocol) protocol that allows for direct-to-peer communication.

  Standard phone 2.0 is a server process that facilitates communication between Bridge CS5 and minijonction Panel in Photoshop CS5 or InDesign CS5.   I'm going to have a hard time trying to decipher exactly what programs should I have to create Flash applications. I see a lot of products that seem to do similar things (2 Flex, Flash Pro, Breeze, Capture, etc) but it is clear to me how they interact. For example, I can create a Breeze presentation and then open it in Flash Professional to make improvements?

  The virtual machine of Apollo is a different beast. It combines the Flash

  I want to write a simple temperature using labview recorder and an external hardware that communicates via usb - hid. The external hardware uses an ATMEL 90USB162 µC and probes DS18B20.

• The new format of community is ridiculous

  Once again... Apple takes something that works very well... And "improvements" such that it is now unusable. Now, I can't find ANYTHING on these community boards

  I continue to by selecting "iphone" community... However, he refuses to show me the Council itself, the latest posts... And when I'm not looking for my problem... The stupid thing shows the responses of the WHOLE system... Who heck thought it was a good idea. I'm in the community of the IPHONE. What the devil that makes you think I want answers related to the Xserve or iMac?

• Hide USB HD to non-administrative users.

  I use our Readynas as a local cloud. I am attaching a USB HD to it and it works like a backup. This works perfectly and are not accessible without the admin login. It's all perfect. However, I would prefer that this drive will be visible only if you log on as an administrator. I don't even want people to know it's there. Any ideas?

  The User Mode Driver Framework (UMDF) facilitates the creation of pilot, which in this case, the Human interface Device (HID), which is usually done refers to USB devices.   Although you can't hide Quick-Drop option, you can certainly facilitate all your controls money favorite go by creating shortcuts, personalized for each control. Shortcuts are dominating matches with the filter so they will always be the preferred selection.

  Forgive me if this is what you've already tried, but I want to just make sure that all these measures have been taken:

  1.	Click Start and then click my computer .
  2.	On the Tools menu, click Folder Options .
  3.	On the view tab, find Advanced settings , and then follow these steps: one. Click Show hidden folders and files . b. Clear the Hide protected operating system files check box. c. Clear the Hide extensions for known file types check box.
  4.	Click OK , and then close the window. If the method above doesn't work for you, you can run your virus scan. Finally, some people have found a solution in this article: Show hidden files and folders not working not Change the settings of the REGISTRY can cause serious problems that may prevent your computer from starting properly.
