Failed installation Windows 8

Hello

I'm doing a clean installation of windows from a flash drive 8 (something I've done many times before), the problem is that I get this alert "Setup was unable to use the existing partition, because the volume of the system does not contain the space."

The partition now has a free space of 65.2 GB (primary type). What could be the problem? Have I not the space required? I think I do. This computer has been running the same OS before a few days ago, as the computer become abnormally slow, creating many of the shortcuts. Windows Defender failed to update, that was when I thought I'd do a clean install. But now I'm stuck.

Hello

I had similar problems recently install Win 10 'Clean '...

It turns out like installing the HARD drive completely 'Unallocated' to begin with, or to "FORMAT"the partition you want to use while doing a "custom installation"... ".

Like you, I had formatted the HARD disk before starting the installation, but it did not work. I don't remember the exact error... I finally tried 'Format' during installation custom out of desperation, and it worked.

I don't remember meeting this before, so something has changed in the installation process...

If you still have problems, try to update in a clean boot state:

http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/929135/en-AU (don't forget to return to a normal startup when finished).

Office updates may fail if the update files, look for the original installation files. Sometimes the complete file download remedies this problem or put the installation media in the installation drive can also help. If still no, you may need to do a repair installation.

Thanks for posting. This could be the cause of bad media or a bad CD player. Please check and see if the drive reads the discs without any problem. If it please try to install using different media.

Yes the sticker of the product keys match the diagnostic report. I've been running this product for more than two years and now all of a sudden it is not valid?
I recently had a problem with hard drive with this machine and had to reinstall the system and restore data from a backup. Is it possible that this has some how changed the PID at the origin of this problem?

If I have no choice but to buy a new OS can spend to Win 8 or will I run into a question?

As I said before, "No matter how long he ran 'okay'..." »

Copies MSDN work very well - until Microsoft discovers that they have been used in a way not scheduled (they are sold by unscrupulous people who probably to sell at an attractive price in comparison to other copies - a lot of people don't care about questioning why they might be cheaper.)  Others may sell at the same price and make more money before disappearing).

You have an MSDN copy.  Your PID has not been changed by restoring the backup.  ;-)

You can try changing your product key of Windows 7 than on the sticker:
    http://pcsupport.about.com/od/osproductkeys/HT/change-Windows-7-key.htm

Then try to activate by phone:
    http://www.SevenForums.com/tutorials/18715-activate-Windows-7-phone.html

And come back to report to what past.

What operating system do you have on the laptop before? You can get a Windows 8 upgrade for that - but I would not honestly - recommend it because the difference is quite obvious and you haven't checked your software and hardware is supported on Windows 8, I know. My recommendation for Windows 8 is to use * if * the system you have came from the manufacturer with it pre-installed. :-)

  • Windows Update fails in Windows 8, Windows 8 running on VM VirtualBox

Original title: Windows Update failed in Windows 8

Windows 8 Pro is installed on it; no antivirus, no 3rd party service.  I got the download of Windows 8 students of the MS upgrade because the license I had was for XP OEM.  Their online store said I couldn't go directly to 8.1.  In order to get the cleanest system, that I could get, I reinstalled XP Pro from scratch.  The MS store forces installation of the upgrade of Windows 8 to help them ensure the Download Manager.  Yes, steps up to now:

    (1) install XP OEM

    (2) install all the XP updates

    (3) download and install the upgrade to win 8 using the secure download manager

    (4) apply Windows 8 updates so I can finally get to the 8.1

It may also be important to note that this facility is running in a VirtualBox VM.  I bought XP OEM disc when I got the laptop (Lenovo T520), but have always run Ubuntu Linux on the host computer.  So my reading on the Windows license is that I have no problem there.  The steps above take the largest part of a full day; so I'm a bit reluctant to reinstall again from scratch.

Finally, the Windows process update Gets an update to KB2785094 which fails.  I got a few different errors and passed through all stages troubleshooting recommended in the KB and this forum that I could find.  Errors include 80073712 and 8024afff.

    Troubleshooting steps tried:

    (1) run the file system, by http://support.microsoft.com/kb/957310 Checker

    (2) attempt to relaunch Windows Update

    (3) run DISM, by the same thing.

    (4) attempt to relaunch Windows Update

    (5) run the Windows Update troubleshooting tool, by http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows7/open-the-windows-update-troubleshooter

    (11) see the same mistakes over and over again.  8024afff seems to have disappeared, but 80073712 keeps recurring.

A problem I noticed with the application of the DISM is that article that says: "If your Windows Update client is already broken, use a Windows installation running as the source of the repair, or use a file side-by-side Windows from a network share or removable media, such as the Windows DVD, such as source files. To do this, run the following command instead:

    "DISM.exe / Online/Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth/source: C:\RepairSource\Windows /LimitAccess.

Unfortunately, due to the screwy way, Microsoft provides the installation files during the upgrade as I did, I'm not aware of having any source of repair.  If anyone knows where the secure download manager puts installation files that could serve as a source for execution of DISM?  Other other ideas that made the exact same installation and expect a different result (one definition of insanity)?

    Thank you

Adobe Acrobat Pro XI - failed installation...

    Adobe-acrobat-install-140703-03.jpg

    I'm in Windows 8.

I unplugged the drive N, that is our network drive. (Don't know why Acrobat tries to access this drive - no other applications only.)

Anyway, even with disconnected N the app still will not install.

    Any suggestions?

The solutions proposed on the link... http://kb2.Adobe.com/CPS/404/kb404946.html do not work. (Actually #2. refers to the installation of 200 MSOffice.)

    Thank you

    Rob L

It was my goofup... Please do not forget to type subst and not substr Z: "C:\Windows" in the prompt for admin.

The 'r' has added the source I copied and pasted from

With the good order setting of the 'invalid' reader, the acrobat installation succeeded.

  • Windows has failed the windows genuine validation

I wanted to open a file to windows 2007. Guest computer to download the compatible pack before you download. I did, but he says that windows failed the windows genuine validation. So I followed the instructions. My screensaver is also gone and there is no icon on the lower right side of the computer that says you may be a victim of software counterfeiting. How can I go further?

Quote your full version of Windows (for example, WinXP SP3;) Windows XP 64 - bit SP2; Vista SP1; Vista 64 - bit SP2; Win7; Win7 64 bit) when you post in a forum or a newsgroup. Please do it in your next reply.

Assuming that "a windows 2007 file" means a file Office 2007, also specify your version of Office installed (for example, Office 2002 SP3).

    The foregoing despite...
