Failed to connect to the server. Why?

I can receive emails. When I try to email a message says connection to the server has failed. Check the settings of the server.
How do I do that?

Go to your email provider's website and find out what the settings are supposed to be.

Go to Tools | Account settings. Scroll down to the last entry in the list of Auditors, "outgoing (SMTP) server. Select this option, select your email provider's SMTP server and check the settings. If there is a disparity, click on edit and modify as needed.

    Hello

You're welcome ShawWellPete, I thank you for everything.

Yes, this person is the windows user, but it was the same question that could have been resolved by quicktime 7. (pending confirmation)

Try to disable the start-up services and restart the mac and then try: take control of start-up and connection elements. Macworld

There could be some service startup that is in conflict.

  • failed to connect to the server.

When I try to access mail, I get this message: connection to the server has failed. I recently changed my site Web hosting from a company of marketing at Godaddy. This problem occurred after that all Web site files have been downloaded to Godaddy. I have not communicated with them again, just to begin to try to solve the problem.
I'm not good with this sort of thing, even if I can follow directions.
    Thanks for any help!

GoDaddy are almost certain to use different server to your previous host settings.

POP settings (account type whatever you use) or imap from Godaddy and update your account settings.

  • Firefox sync fails to connect to the server.

Firefox sync has not worked on my laptop for the last days. It fails with the error
"Unable to connect to the server. Synchronize automatically retrying this action. »
Sync works fine on my Android device on the same network. I tried to disconnect and reconnect my sync account and also tried to synchronize in safe mode without success. The error in the synchronization log report: https://pastebin.mozilla.org/8834320.
About: config the services.sync.clusterURL is not set. services.sync.tokenServerURI has the value default 'https://token.services.mozilla.com/1.0/sync/1.5'.

Understand the problem. I had activated FIPS compliance on my software security device. Apparently, WeaveCrypto used by sync is not FIPS compatible. I disabled FIPS now and sync works fine. Bug report: https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=443386

  • Failed to connect to the server? Windows Live mail error.

    I get this message:

"The connection to the server failed.  Subject ' Fw: xxx' server: 'smtp.verizon.net' Windows Live Mail error ID: 0x800CCC0E Protocol: SMTP Port: 25 secure (SSL): Yes Socket error: 10060 "
What can I do to send this email e-mail? I have a digital but still cannot send ID. I receive email fine.

Use the settings recommended from Verizon. Right-click on the account name in the folders pane, and then select Properties.

Under the servers tab, make sure that my server requires authentication is selected.

    On the Advanced tab.

    • Make sure that this server requires a secure connection (SSL) is selected for both servers.
    • Make sure that the outgoing mail port is 465 and the incoming mail port is 995.

When you are finished, click work offline and delete all messages pending from the Outbox (below the records of account in the folders pane). Now, create a new test message and give him a single topic (e.g., trial 1). Send it to yourself and post a new message in your response.

  • Sync is constantly fail to connect to the server.

So, today, Firefox start of reports that "Sync has encountered an error when connecting: unable to connect to the server.» Please try again. "(I copied this word to Word of the message which is now at the bottom of my browser window). There is a button to take me in preferences, but there is nothing there, I can set up to do that, go away. There is also a little x to close the window with the error message, but when I click it, it comes back in less than a minute. This happened for several hours now, and Firefox got very lag, as if the majority of its processing power is used to repeatedly try to sync. Everything on the Internet works, for example connection to support.mozilla.com to post this question, so I guess that it is a mistake at the other end. How I either fix it, or tell Firefox to stop trying until I have to say?

Finally, I tried the solution for a poorly configured account, and it worked. He repeated it as synchronization for quite a long time, but when I reconnected my laptop and sync, it worked.

  • Failed to connect to the server of dynamic links

I just tried to import a sequence of another project in a project underway and got "Connection to the dynamic link server failed", after a minute or two. I started seeing this a few weeks when you try to import a sequence of body in SOUL, but has not much attention given that I couldn't easily perform the encoding from the body.

I just tried to import a sequence of body in AE, and it works. Also tried a couple of other functions Dynamic Link - "Send again" and "New After Effects Composition" and they work just as well.

I had hoped that it was the firewall problem and that my firewall was turned on, but no, it's off. I can hardly find any mention of nowhere, except for the firewall problem, so it seems that this may be specific to my PC.

Something messed with some files or the registry settings is my guess. I will try to reinstall the suite to see if that solves it. Initially just a repair installation, but if this does not work, then a reinstallation, complete with Cleanscript, may be necessary.

  • Failed to connect to the server of the JDeveloper app - opmn?

    Hello

I am completely new to the application server. The one we use is Oracle Application Server 10g Release 10.1.3.1.0.

I started a stand-alone server that is included in JDeveloper and create a connection to it of JDeveloper and deployed an application without problem.

But when I tried to create a connection to the above mentioned application server which implies the port for opmn, I got stuck.

In the opmn.xml file, I find:
       <notification-server interface="ipv4">
          <port local="6101" remote="6201" request="6004"/>
          <ssl enabled="true" wallet-file="$ORACLE_HOME/opmn/conf/ssl.wlt/default"/>
       </notification-server>
When you try to create a connection to this server from JDeveloper application, here's what I entered and got:
Connection type:    Oracle Application Server 10g 10.1.3
    User name:          devuser1
    Password:           xxxxxxxx
    Connect to:         Single Instance

What is the problem? Is opmn a process to be launched first?

It is an application server installed by someone who has no experience and gave me a nonadministrator account. It seems to me that the problem is that opmn is not started, but I'm not absolutely sure.

These descriptions of the scenario, can experienced people give a diagnosis?

    Thank you very much!

    Newman

    Your understanding is quite correct.

opmn start - starts opmn only
opmn startall - begins to opmn and all the components it manages. (IE. OSH, OC4J, etc..)

You need to do the later so that everything works and that your connect properly to OC4J.

If you continue to read the documentation to opmn, you will discover that opmn has more options to start and stop processes managed by opmn.

  • Configuring synchronization work on Firefox on my 4 Android, Sii. But it fails to connect to the server on Aurora, this is a limitation of current on Aurora?

Matching Firefox on my desktop or notebook down the codes for the device, the device recognizes that something has happened on the side server as I proceed in the wizard on the desktop browser, where everything seems good. However, instead of saying that sync is setup is ok, it returns an error that it cannot contact the server. On the latest Firefox for android, that it works, but not for Aurora.

    Hello!

Sorry to read that you are facing problems with the new dawn. Indeed, there is a known problem with saw new dawn with other versions of synchronization in Android. You can learn more here:

    https://wiki.Mozilla.org/user:Anaaktgeboren / NativeSync #Android_Sync_behavior_with_multiple_Firefox_versions_installed

Make sure that you do not use the 2 versions. That should clear the issue.

    Hello

I tried to print by using the provided applications and I just get the login server failed message

    Hi @Ungabunga1,

Welcome to the Forums of HP's Support.  I see that you get a connection error message when you try to access applications on your printer Photosmart 6520.

Please define Manual of the printer an IP address manually and DNS servers.  I've included a link to another post with measures, including screenshots, on how to do it.  Please do not worry that the screenshots show a Photosmart 7510, the steps are the same.

Please let me know the results.

  • ORA-28547: connection to the server has failed, probable Oracle Net admin error

    Hello

    Environment

Oracle Database 11g Enterprise Edition Release 11.2.0.1.0 - 64bit Production
    PL/SQL Release 11.2.0.1.0 - Production
    CORE    11.2.0.1.0      Production
TNS for Linux: Version 11.2.0.1.0 - Production
    NLSRTL Version 11.2.0.1.0 - Production

I'm ORA-28547: failed to connect to the server, probable Oracle Net admin error when connecting to the database as username/password@orcl,If, I do not @orcl it connects without any problems. But I can't connect from client machines without dbstring.

This problem started recently, and I understand that it is because of the dynamic ip of the linux machine. Previously the Linux m/c ip was 172.25.210.177 unfortunately was launched once the machine ip has changed in 172.25.210.148.

To bring the database up I started as usual and got to the top, but when connecting db with the above error is being username/password@orcl.

To solve the i changed the ip address in tnsnames.ora and listener.ora but no luck. Please advice how to solve.

It will run until the next change of the ip address. If you want a permanent solution, you must assign a static ip address. Why is your dynamic ip address? What is a local testbox.foobar.com or a production system that must be accessible to other systems?
