  I just bought a FANCY 4500 e-all-in-one printer for use with my MacBook Pro (OSX 10.7.5) during a trip. I use WiFi in the hotel.

  Thank you, Sean. I found out what I needed to know to fix the DIF from a document from hp customer service. I was able to fix by restarting, it is to unplug the usb cable first from the printer, wait 5 seconds, plug the cable back in. Then I desconnected the cable from the computer, wait 5 seconds and plugged.

If Safari works as expected, then remove your installed Safari extensions. Restart Safari normally and add your extensions one by one until the slow back. You have now identified the extension at the root of the problem.
