Failed to create backup disks/product ID Windows

I bought an all-in-one HP Touch Screen IQ525 new model in February 2010 and tried several times to make a series of disks of backup, and whenever the process fails.

Hello

You'd better contact HP support for problems with creating backup routines. It is not a part of Windows and it is specific to the manufacturer:http://welcome.hp.com/country/us/en/support.html

I didt create a disk recovery for windows 7 Home premium and I lost the original and the recovery partition, but I have still the product key and the same laptop that was originally installed with windows 7 copy and now im turning my laptop with a fake copy, how to restore the original copy of windows 7?

    Hello

You have certainly reduced your options

The only legal Windows 7 download available is now Microsoft, as Microsoft has stopped DigitalRiver Windows 7 ISO downloads.

    http://www.Microsoft.com/en-us/software-recovery

But Microsoft only provides these downloads for Windows 7 keys to selling product at retail, not preinstalled OEM product keys (Dell, HP, etc.).

As you have licensed preinstalled OEM (Dell, HP, etc.), contact the manufacturer of your computer to order recovery media that they need to provide for a fee, if they still have them available.

Or you can also borrow the same exact retail edition DVD of Windows 7 and use your product key to reinstall.

    See you soon.

  • Failed to create recovery disk

    Hello!

I apologize in advance for my English.

After a year of perfect operation, I decided to completely restore my system (Windows Vista Home, HDX 18 Premium, 64-bit) using the hidden partition. Everything was fine.

A week ago, my PC didn't start because he does not recognize the hard drive: no operating system found. No partition has been found, even the hidden (in my system is E).

I tried to reset the BIOS and I was right: the booted system, performed all necessary diagnostics and load Windows.

So, I decided to create a recovery disk to restore the system, even if no partition is found.

But I have been unable to create recovery disks because the Recovery Manager utility froze, did not write any DVD, and after three hours, I had to turn off the PC, because nothing happened.

My creation of recovery disks is slightly different from the pictures I've seen in many forums: instead of asking what kind of media, I would like to use (DVD, CD) and how many of them is needed, it simply shows a green bar: writing files, from 0% to 100%. When he arrived at 100%, it froze and nothing happened.

Now I can not create a new set of disk (the program starts, but its window disappears immediately), even if the PC is running and I could (probably) restore the system using the hidden partition.

    Now:

    (1) are useful recovery disks if the hard drive is not recognized at all?

    (2) since it is possible to create a set of disks only, the failure of the attempt account?

    Thank you!

You are welcome. Be sure to also follow the Macrium prompt to create a bootable cd. Label it as Macrium rescue and set aside to care for the child. Then whenever you need to restore your laptop to your Image backups, just boot with the cd and it guides you through it. Works even if Windows is too damaged to start.

Brand new machine should support 2 partitions and on the E partition, you should see a recovery of HARD drive folder that contains the image files that are needed to create a recovery disk!

He s strange, but I think that you cannot create a recovery disc because there is no file on the E partition recovery

  • How to create a disk Image in Windows 8

I want to do something real Basic.  I think I know how, but the confirmation of the need.  I want a disk Image full of my hard drives so that if my hard next week C drive crashes I can quickly return to normal (normal, the way which was when I made the image).  I do not view the files in the Image or anything else.  I just want to avoid the week it would completely re - install everything.  With regard to data (not the files system etc, but my personal data), I have another solution for this.  I think that the option of recovering files in Windows 7 in Windows 8 will do what I want in what concerns the creation of an image, but I want to be sure.  I think everything I do is as follows:
In Windows 7 File Recovery select "create a System Image" and the backup on external media.  I think I also need to create a System Image repair disc.  Once this is done, if my C disk fails tomorrow I think that all I have to do, is as follows:
Put the recovery disk in my hard drive.  Start the computer to the reader and follow the instructions to copy the stuff on my external hard drive through my C drive.
Is the above, real or not?

You guessed it... The system image is an image of the reserved system & windows partitions.

With any Microsoft windows 8 install or update of the same bits of DVD or the same bits win8 system repair disc, put on cd, dvd or USB stick bootable... you can use it to boot from and there are simply in your sysem image and any hard drive of equal or greater size.    Will probably work.  Can never say for sure 100%.    its good to have a 2nd source of images and program to run it.  EaseUS ToDo Macrium or something.    Reads the command RecImg & what he does.

  • Satellite U500-10F - creating recovery disk after upgrade Windows 7

I bought a Satellite U500-10th with Vista OS and I decided to upgrade to Windows 7, so I ordered at Toshiba upgrade disk and installed it.

    * My question is *: * it is possible to create with Windows 7 recovery discs? * in order to avoid the downside to install vista first then do the upgrade to windows 7

Whenever I need to do a clean install and also to avoid the disadvantage that it is not too recommended to validate windows whenever you perform a clean installation, because the problems of authenticity can emerge with microsoft!

    Thank you

    Hi m.tarek,

I doubt that this would be possible. First of all, you have ordered only an upgrade, which means that this version can be installed on a pre-installed version of Vista. It is not a full version that you can install without BONES.

Besides recovering the files on the second partition (btw, that's a picture) contains the Vista operating system and not Windows 7. It does not update.

Sorry mate, but this is why there will always be this update of s. Alternative, you can create your own image using Acronis True Image or other imaging software.

  • Windows 7 backup disk Passport system - fails during the create a System Image

error msg "the system cannot find the file specified" error code 0 x 80070002. Search code MS to remove update files - did not work. Close the anti-virus software, autoplay, etc... no luck. Backups on a WD "My Passport" are not after all MS updates beyond Windows 7 SP1. More info on Dell XPS 8500 is i5-3450 system and create the system image ends approximately 63% before failing. I also removed the Dell backup software after 5 unsuccessful attempts, still no progress.

Hello Marilyn, Abd el Krim and everything,

Here are my system specs, then I'll tell you what I found. I work with Dell XPS8500 Intel Core i5-3450 processor 3.1 GHz, 8 GB DDR3, 1 TB SATA HDD Windows 7 Home Premium 64 Bit memory. The system uses Intel 7 / C216 Chipset for Intel USB 3.0 eXtensible Host Controller and USB enhanced host controller.

THE system BIOS is A06 and I updated the Intel eXtensible drivers to 1.0.5.235 as of 05/21/12.

    The system was manufactured 17/08/2012.

My backup disk is Western Digital MyPassport external Drive USB 3.0 500 GB.

I use Windows Back Up & Recovery routine not 3rd party software.

I'm not not execution of recommendations of Abd el Krim when I found users of the Forum having the same problem as me.

Using the ports USB 3.0 on the Dell gives Back Up is not "the system cannot find the file specified" error Code 0 x 80070002. After which, the AutoPlay routine appears. 57% using Dell before USB 3.0 ports annoys me all before the failure and the back gets USB 3.0 ports me 63% & 53% complete before the failure. Other Dell users encounter similar and different problems with the Intel / Dell USB 3.0 implementation (Ivy Bridge?).

When I make Windows 7 to the top using the USB 2.0 ports, it completes successfully. WaHoo finally...

So now, I believe that the problem is not with Windows 7 but the drivers Intel or Dell USB 3.0 application

Thanks for your support! I look forward to responses, comments and other suggestions.

  • Cannot create disk to repair Windows 7 system on the new Dell 8700

Just took delivery of a XPS8700 with Windows 7 installed.  There is no restore hard disk partition.  I created a backup and a System Image using the W7 backup and restore program.  When I tried to "create a system repair disc", I got the following pop - up. "Microsoft Windows repair disc has stopped working" and had to close.   I have W7 on three other computers in our House and have never met him this before.  Since the 8700 has not come with disks of windows, I'm afraid that I can't do a repair disc.  Would appreciate any direction because I am not having any luck.  The only thing I could do is to create "A disc Reinstall Windows."  Thank you.

I suggest a clean install of Windows 7 with an .iso of Digital River and Activation backup and recovery program. See my guides here for more details:

  • Notice: Create a disk (Windows 7 Professional) with Symantec Ghost vs CloneZilla image

Just for my curiosity and knowledge, of a material point or prospective software,.

Do you have any recommendation to create a disk for Windows 7 professional image?

In particular, do you have any comment of what software should I use between Symantec Ghost vs CloneZilla?

So thank you and have a wonderful day.

He is a native feature in Windows 7.  Why not use it?  I use it several times and it works great.

    http://www.canadiantech.Info/for-techies/clean-install-tip/

After Windows 7 drivers system and all updates are installed and stable applications such as Microsoft Office are installed and updated, create a system image.  It will take 3 or 4 DVD +Rs (non - Rs) and about an hour.  When you are finished, you will have a very nice bit of insurance.  You must again and again re - build a damaged system or replacing a hard drive, you will have a double précis of your system as it was at this time.  You can restore this image on a hard drive in about 20 minutes.  Creating a System Image is in your menu in respect of Maintenance, backup and restore.

Another great feature on the use of the image, it's that you don't have an installation disc or product key to re - install the next time.

I strongly stress the need for MORE than R DVD not the most common MINIUS R.

    Start, all programs, Maintenance.

  • Pavilion dm4-3090se: how to use the SSD after restoration of the system of Windows backup disks?

    Hello

After a lot of work, I finally could restore my OS using Windows backup disks that I created a few years back. (The OS has been corrupted when the power has been accidentally deleted from the system and the battery was dead)

Restoring backup widows put everything on 444 GB C drive.  Nothing I put on the SSD drive d:-20 GB and there is nothing in the tools of HP E: drive - 4 GB

How can I make use of the SSD drive to help speed up the system?  I see the system starts and runs more slowly now.  I'm ready to blow the current operating system and re-run the Windows backup utility.  But I need to know how to use the SSD during the restoration.

    Any help is appreciated.

    Thank you

    Bob

    Hey @llebrez,

Welcome to the Forums of HP Support! This is a great place to find solutions and help our community!

I understand that you have some information about using the SSD in your HP Pavilion dm4 Beats Edition Entertainment Notebook. I'd be happy to help you with that.

The SSD in your laptop is used for a technology called Intel Smart Response. Intel Smart Response uses the SSD as a type of Cache smart to help load the items faster. The reason why that is not used currently is because the restoration of the system is not designed to use the SSD for intelligent caching and is not able to establish that on its own.

If you want to configure Intelligent caching on your laptop, you can follow this guide provided by overclock.net: how: implement the Intel Smart Response Technology (SSD caching)

I hope this helps. If you have more questions that I'm able to answer for you, please do not hesitate to ask.

  • Can you use a backup disks to another laptop to save your laptop? If so, what are the steps to create a backup disc?

I need to restart my computer to its original settings, as I just bought. I did the backup drive for my laptop and need a backup disk to restore my computer. Can I use a backup from another laptop, same brand disc and the same software (vista). Can it be done? If so, what documents do I need to create a backup disk and what to put on it. Help, please.

    Hello

recovery discs are computer brand and model specific

If you need the drive for your recovery or read alternative methods below

If you don't have a recovery disk, you must have a recovery partition to do the same thing

Here are the different ways to reinstall Vista:

Contact the manufacturer of the laptop computer and ask them to send you to vista recovery disks to reinstall the operating system back as it was when you bought it

they do it for a nominal cost of $

also ask them if you have a recovery partition on your hard drive to get back to the way you bought

you would normally press F8, F9, F10 or F11 or Alt + F10 or 0 to start to start the recovery process according to the manufacturer

Ask them of the exact key sequence

their request also how to make this recovery partition recovery disks

or borrow a vista microsoft dvd; not a HP, Acer recovery disk etc

Make sure that you borrow the correct 32-bit or 64-bit microsoft dvd to your computer

they contain all versions of vista

This is the product key that determines which version of vista is installed

Solved!  It is the value of password that I have provided the Oracle installer to create the new user of windows.

The value was acceptable for the oracle Installer, but was not acceptable for Windows as a valid password.

A better password and installation continued.

  • Satellite P300-1CN - failed to create the recovery disk

Hi, I tried to create the disks of backup for my new P300-1CN recovery, but I get a power calibration error (error code: 0E01B5-26-00037304) when the progress gets 50% on the first disc of "current" bar and 25% along the bar of"progress".

I have now tried 3 times and exactly the same thing happens every time.

I have the cable power in and power on a full battery.

    Hello!

Have you tried the disks from different manufacturers? I prefer to use DVD - R Verbatim and TDK discs.
    Check it!

Also on the site of Toshiba, I can find a few updates firmware for the CD/DVD drive. Check if you have such a unit and update the firmware.

External DVD USB drives are cheap. Usually $20 for a good quality player. Just buy one of these at Best Buy or another store and use it to install Snow Leopard. Then you also have a drive for something else that you have on the disk.
