Failure of Bootcamp - El captain

Hi, I have an iMac (2015) and I am running the latest update of El Capitan.  I downloaded the ISO 10 windows and used bootcamp to try to dual boot.  When he was charged, he gave me a blue screen and says there are files missing and then hanged.  I started in Mac and windows has completely disappeared.  I tried to delete the partition again, but he said only that the boot disk cannot be partitioned or restored to a single partition and that's all - it won't do anything.  I was in disk utility and it is formatted to the OS extended (journaled) volume that is said it should be, but it's completely empty.  So now I can't restore the partition of 100 GB but there no windows on it and I can not install windows Mac does not recognize the .exe files.

Can someone please help me to recover at the beginning and tell me where I was wrong? Thanks for any help, Lisa

Can you post the output of the following commands in OSX Terminal?

diskutil list

Cs diskutil list

sudo TPG - vv - r see the/dev/disk0

sudo fdisk/dev/disk0

The "sudo" commands will prompt to enter your password, and there do not appear to come back. You can also see caution against improper use 'sudo' and the potential loss of data due to an "abuse" of the order.

I tried to install windows 8.1 on my MacBook Air, but it has failed twice. (I did it without any problems after a few months ago but then I removed it when I do not need). After the second time disk utility has shown that I have another partition but I couldn't use it, so I restored it in bootcamp. At the end of the restoration process, a message appeared that it could not. The score disappeared but 30 GB of my storage does as well.

It would be sufficient to recover my OS X without the help of a Time Machine to get the lost 30 GB left?

You'll need either Time Machine backup/delete/restore diskutil OSX or Terminal commands and a re-installation of Mac OS x.

    Allan continues

This could be a missing file that had not resulted in anything until an update.  I had to save and clean install the operating system. I had a similar problem and take mine to the Apple Store to be fixed, it turns out was a broken HD support, who can apparently cause this problem.  You must back up either with Time Machine or external plug your hard drive to another computer and copy the files you want to save. (TimeCapsule is easier), then take it in to be looked at, they can run Diagnostics on the Apple Store.

    See you soon,.

  • 2014 iMac will not recognize part of the promenade of fusion after failure bootcamp

    Hi all

I tried to install windows 7 with boot camp. I put the disk in boot camp to be around 250 GB. When it restarts, it did not recognize the USB key and asked for a disc. I have no disc drive I did a hard stop down. This scene reproduces and I stopped again and it starts in recovery. I then deleted the bootcamp drive and tried the mac hd drive for all distribution. It froze and I restarted. I did not start so I went back into recovery and restored a backup. Disk utility does not show the 250 GB I booked for the boot camp. Only TI 777 free on 860.48. It is a Fusion of 1.12 to disc. Help, please. I know it is probably self-inflicted and I did several things wrong.

    Thank you for your time.

1 W7 is not supported on Mac from 2015. I wouldn't recommend any other attempt.

    2. If the restoration did not erase the entire disk fusion, you restored to a Volume of CS of OSX existing, which won't change size.

    3. start Internet recovery, remove part of the SSD and HDD, if necessary and then restore them to a newly created CS LV/LVG. You use Time Machine to restore?

  • aid resettlement suite failure bootcamp

    Hello

I have a mac book of 2009 unibodi.

I made a few changes, adding RAM (6 GB), passage on SSD with trim enebler (I know it's not very official, but I kept the original drive somewhere...).

So, I did the installation of el capitan carefree, UTI pendant two months without problem also.

My scene are Mobiliar suite the nominal, when professional needs, I wanted to install Windows 7 on bootcamp.

I don't know or I missed my shot, but en from my system no longer boot.

I changed disk, I have the right to a pretty picture of file with a query point.

I created an el capitant using Diskmaker 5 installation key, but the result is the same.

    To help!

I don't know what to do, I don't know if the Windows installation has not operated on changes in places that I do not suspect in my Mac.

I tried to put back my original disk, but since switching to El capitan, I liked that the original system works, the system startup is not UEFI en (finally seems to me, I will not speculate either).

Anyway, I don't know more what to do.

    In advance, thank you.

    C good, solved.

    Thanks anyway

  • Install hard drive does not display complete space after failure bootcamp

If this problem is shallow, but I did a ton of research, and I'm stuck.

I tried to install Windows 10 with the BootCamp assistant and there was a mistake and restarted my MBP (mid-2015, 2.8 GHz Intel Core i7, 16 GB 1600 MHz DDR3, 1 TB SSD). Upon restart, the partition of windows seems to be there, but when I tried to start Windows (restart now option key), I found myself with only one option, which was to start in Mac OS X. Fine. So I started in Mac and went to the wizard bootcamp again and this time, I had the option to remove windows, so I did, which was good, because I was going to just to try new BootCamp assistant...

-BUT (here's the point of this post)-

After the deleted bootcamp windows partition Wizard, my Mac partition was left on its reduced size, which is 901,34 Go (before "assistant" training camp, I got 999,35 GB, it's a 1 TB drive).

I did a lot of things to try to remedy this situation, but nothing seems to work:

-J' resized the partition in disk utility (which continued to give me errors, until I turned off FileVault), so now my SSD shows only a single partition to 1 TB in size.

-J' tried to run first aid on both the disk (SSD Apple) AND partition (Sean HD), but which shows all go well.

-I went through the Terminal to run the/dev/disk0 repairdisk diskutil command and it seems that the partition plan seems to be OK.

I would avoid using testdisk, because I think I would mess something up, but if I have the right direction, I could predict the future.

I DON'T want to format the drive and start over, because I would be really sad to have to reinstall/remake ~ 800 GB of things again (I am a music producer). And, Yes, I backed everything up, but again everything is too tedious (do once was quite tedious as it may be).

You notice you have a recovery of 98 GB of HD, which is usually about 650 MB? What were the exact steps you have taken to address the issue that you have after that BC did not work correctly? Did merge partitions incorrectly?

  • anniversary 10 Windows update breaks the bootcamp drivers

I bought the home edition of windows 10 must be installed with bootcamp on my Mac Pro (latest version).

After a few seconds the bootcamp drivers installation, I get a blue screen saying "kernel Security Check Failure. I tried to re-parititon and re - install windows with bootcamp 10 several times and the results are the same. I found an earlier version of windows 10 online and when I tried to install it, the problem goes away. but then when I update this old windows 10 with the update of the anniversary, the problem appears again. so I guess that the problem is related to that! in safe mode I get no blue screens. today I intend to try to uninstall the driver of each training camp in a tower, until I tell me what is the cause of blue screen. so far, I removed the graphics drivers, but the results are the same.

If anyone can provide all the information on how to study this issue further away, or maybe even solve it, I'll appreciate it more! Thank you

  • Of failure, white screen MacBook Pro HARD drive try to boot from the external HARD drive

    Hello

I have a 2008 Macbook Pro which is having some problems, I was able to fix them, but eventually the hard drive failed. I know that because at startup until it would have a white screen Uni (no logo) and you can hear a clicking on in the lower left corner. I thought initially it was a memory problem, but after opening and verification of memory, it's clearly the hard drive.

I solved this problem temporarily (until I can replace the HARD disk) by installing El captain on an external HARD disc and start from that. Here's the twist, I couldn't he can begin to El captain, I tried CMD + R, CMD + OPT + R, CMD + OPT + R + P and now shift. Everything that's happened would be that clicks would cease to release the keys.

I left the macbook on while I'm at work, when I got home it was on the screen to connect the external HARD drive.

I accidentally closed the macbook yesterday and again once when I tried to log on, I could not and I left it on a white screen while I was sleeping. There is a possibility that he may have launched from the HARD drive when I get home, but if not, is there something that escapes me to force do this?

    See you soon

Usually start up to a blank screen without the Apple Logo, may report one of the following:

    • Hardware failure
    • Boot drive is not recognized as valid and updated updated
    • OS X essential software is missing, hurt moved or renamed or corrupt
    • A firmware update is necessary

No matter who, in order to boot from an external drive "bootable", you would normally hold down the Option key until you get a screen that offers a number of devices to try to boot from.

Alternatively, you can try holding down the C key to try to boot from the external drive.

If none of these startup options work, then the bootable disc or the USB port on your MacBook Pro can be the question.

Since you have a Mac pre-2013, if you hold down the D key while booting, the built-in Apple Hardware Test should start up.  This can help to identify hardware problems.

  • How to upgrade Windows 8.1 to 10 in bootcamp?

    Hello

I have a Macbook 2016 m5 and have installed 8.1 window using the bootcamp assistant. I want to now upgrade to Windows 10 and run the Microsoft Windows 10 Upgrade Advisor tool. It lasted about 90 minutes, and when the upgrade obtained 100% it restarts to a blue screen failure saying something like "missing device" and then prompting me to start again under windows 8.1.

I don't have a serial for Windows 10 key (only to have one for 8.1) so cannot install directly from a Windows 10 on USB image.

Please can someone advise on the correct process?

    Thank you

  • Shrinking Bootcamp partition and add space for Macintosh HD

Guys, after helping me with my previous question, my Macbook is almost as I want it to be. As said, I have a Macbook Pro 15 "retina end 2013 with OS X El Captain (later) and in addition, a Bootcamp with Windows partition 8.1." It's that everything works fine now, but the partition Windows 8.1 has 300 GB and my score only 80 GB hard drive Macintosh.

I wanted to shrink the partition, Bootcamp in Windows 8, 1 with Minitool Partition software but, obviously, when I reduce this score I get unallocated space that I can't turn into a new partition because I have 4 partitions in the MBR slot. So, what is the best way to reduce my Bootcamp partition and add space on the Macintosh HD partition?

    Thank you very much!

Remove the Boot Camp partition, and Windows using Boot Camp Assistant. Then start to affect the size of the Boot Camp partition you want.

  • Resets the bootcamp?

Hello, I just I want to improve my Mac in El Captain.

But I think, and maybe my Bootcamp perhaps will reset if I update to El Captain (10.11).

Because this is a family computer, I don't want to reinstall Mac and Bootcamp at the same time.

If in my iMac 20 inch mid-2007 version (Lion) 10.7.5 reset Bootcamp if I update to 10.11?

My bootcamp in detail: Windows XP: Home Edition SP3.

And my mac: iMac: 20-inch mid-2007.

It will not be unless a problem arises. Back up your data first.

Note that it is not directly possible to implement this configuration of Boot Camp again; Lion and will be more recent work with the existing installations of XP and Vista Boot Camp, but cannot be used to create new ones. In doing so, should be temporarily returning to Snow Leopard.

  • Why bootcamp tries to download something, even if I gave it ISO windows

    Hello.

I recently bought a new macbook pro MJLT2 I tried to install windows via bootcamp 10 I gave him the necessary ISO, but it tries to download something, and he said about 400hrs time remained to download this thing! and my connection speed is about 5 Mb/s. What happens and why is it?

BTW, it works on OS X El Captain 10.11.2

It's the Windows Support software download which is needed to provide a Windows PE (Preboot Environment) and drivers for Apple hardware after installing Windows.
