  1. did you of recent changes on the system?

  You can try to manually change the file extension to jpeg format.

  a. open the files that you want to change.

  b. click on edit and then click Select all.

  c. right click on the first file in the list and then click Rename.

  d. type the new extension (.jpeg), and then press ENTER.

  Windows will warn you to change the extension of the file name of the file to stop working properly. If you are certain that the extension you typed is one that will include the program you're using, click Yes to confirm the change.

  I see no reason to keep them, they take a lot of space, one of the reasons to convert to DNG is that they are almost 20% smaller than the ships.

  But it is of course your choice...

• RAW - image replaced by yellow rectangle files converter

  I opened several images in the raw on a Mac file converter and was able to change, save as TIF file, etc.  Now I'm trying to do the same thing on a PC and when I open the raw in the converter files, I see the images of the film sideways, but when I click on the image to view/edit before saving, I see is a yellow rectangle where the photo should be.  The histogram and image metadata change when I click on the different images of the film, so he thinks it shows me different images, but I don't see is the yellow rectangle.  Any ideas?

  Go to the Photoshop preferences > file handling > Camera Raw preferences > uncheck 'use the graphics processor' > relaunch Photoshop and then check out.

• Why CS4 will not open DNG files converted from raw Olympus E - M1 files?

  For several years, I was able to use the DNG Converter to convert. My E - M1 Olympus ORF raw files and then open them for treatment in CS4. Suddenly CS4 quit recognizing these DNG files saying "Photoshop could not complete your request because Photoshop does not recognize this type of file"

  I have not changed preferences. I use E - M1 v3.0, DNG Converter v8.3.0.141 on a Mac. I deleted the converter DNG several times, even reinstalled an earlier version, but nothing does not change.

  However, CS4 will open the converted DNG files from Pentax raw. PEF files of my K-5. Weird. This is the Olympus raw DNG conversions that will not open.

  I can view the DNG files converted into question in the preview of the Mac just fine, but CS4. Any ideas will be appreciated.

  When you use the ExportPDF online service, files are automatically saved in your online account. It's not a way to save directly to your computer. However, once you have converted a file, you can easily download it by logging into your account on https://cloud.acrobat.com/files. Select the file or files you want to download and click download at the top of the list of files. Your files will be downloaded in the download on your computer folder.

  When you convert your files using ExportPDF or Adobe PDF package, the files are automatically saved in your online account. But, you can log on to your account on https://cloud.acrobat.com/files, select the file that you want to store on your hard drive, and then click the link to download at the top of the list of files.

  Files are automatically saved in your online account when you use Acrobat.com online services. However, you can probably download the files on your computer, by selecting to https://cloud.acrobat.com/filesand then by clicking on the download icon.

  Need help! Suddenly, all my PDF files convert themselfes PSE-files! PDF files sent as attachments in emails increase in PSE-files and is of no use to me. And worse: all my old files PDF saved on my computer has been changed in PES-files. All the icons for PDF files on my desktop have a blue mark with 'PSE' in them instead of the red symbol of PDF. And it is impossible to suddenly to open that PDF files that they have been spared as. Open it as illegible PSE documents.

  I don't really know what to do about this, so I need HELP!

  Yes, something has changed. WINDOWS has changed. The files have not changed, because it's nothing to do with the file.

  It works like this: there's an association 'default' for a file type. Don't worry the jargon. What this means is that for each file type (DOC, TXT, JPG, PDF, PES...) Windows has an app (program) to run. For each file type, is also an icon for this application.

  So, if the default link for the PDF files is Adobe Reader, and then, when you double-click a PDF file, it opens Adobe Reader. And the icon comes from Adobe Reader.

  But, if the default association for PDF Photoshop Elements files, when you double-click a PDF file, it opens Photoshop Elements. And the icon comes from Photoshop Elements. This doesn't mean that they are files PES!

  When you change the association it affects all files, BUT the files do not change.

  As I said, you can probably fix this in the preferences of the Adobe Reader software. You can also sometimes fix in Windows, with the right-click - Open with - Adobe Reader. You have an option "always use this program"? Try it.

  It may be that the PDF file is simply a graph. The highlight tool works on the text, not graphics. You may need to use the marker or another graphic tool.
