Failure of outgoing e-mail

I'm not having much luck getting vCAC to send notifications by e-mail. I added the e-mail server for the tenant and enabled notifications under my user prefs.

In the Catalina.out file I see the following:

  • setting up outgoing e-mail profile

    Hello

I am configuring a new outgoing e-mail profile to use for the scan on my HP 8600 using a gmail account.

I keep getting "Incorrect credentials" when I test the configuration (my credentials are correct).  I tried different ports and turn on and off Alternatively the "SMTP server requires authentication for outgoing messages.  Still the same error.

    Help!

    Hello help_me_please9,

Welcome to the Forums of HP Support!

I understand that you are having problems of configuration scanning to E-mail, I have a suggestion that may be useful for you. Gmail as a two-step verification within their e-mail settings that allows you to secure your account. Try to disable this, so active and see if then allows you the configuration of the scan to e-mail.

    1. Sign in to your Gmail email account.
    2. Click on the e-mail or the icon to the right and then to account.
    3. Click Security.
    4. Under permissions for account > access to less secure applications, click settings.
    5. Activate and click done.
    6. Re-run an analysis of the configuration of e-mail.

Let me know if it helps.

    Hello

Gmail change recently several security options that can block the printer to connect to their servers.

Open the following link and check the following settings:

    https://myaccount.Google.com/

First make sure you are signed in with the same account that you define for the printer. change the account of user if needed.

Within the signature in section ensures that 2-step audit is defined as Off, so access to less secure applications is allowed, otherwise, the check fails.

In the recent article of activity click devices, if you see a blocked the connection attempt (it will be marked up in red) click Yes, and then follow the steps in allowing access for insecure applications...

Once you're done open your homepage to the printer and enter the outgoing e-mail profile settings and rerun a test.

    Hope that helps,

  • OfficeJet Pro 8500 (A909g) - Configuring the outgoing e-mail profile.

Hi, I just bought one of the above, and I'm very happy with it.

Everything seems fine, but my only question is about setting "scan to e-mail".  Although I can put this so it works very well, I have not worked on how to have more than one setting up outgoing e-mail profile.  Is this possible at all?

Ideally I'd like each employee to use "scan to email" by selecting their own profile on the 8500 and have the scan/email to come from their own e-mail address rather than a ' company '...

Thanks, and I look forward to any help with this.

Check with your e-mail provider on how the various SMTP (especially the port) settings must be set to confirm that everything is correct. But, take a look at this setting and try to change it if necessary to see if it helps.

Problem solved - automajiclally! After three hours in a Sprint store and another two hours. I decided to delete all e-mail accounts and try again. Did not work the first time, but after the third attempt a manual email setup, it finally worked.

  • How to change a picture in an outgoing e-mail message?

I am trying to enlarge a picture in an outgoing email, but I don't know where the image is to get the URL address?
If it helps, this is my picture from facebook?

If you use a Web-based e-mail account via your browser and by joining pictures to messages sent from an account, there is nothing you can do in your browser to change when it is attached. You must change the image before you attach it to your message.

Download photo as Imgur sites provide tools to resize and image editing, if you want to use your browser - just download, modify and use the link provided. On Facebook you can simply rotate pictures.

Since you are under Windows, I would recommend install the dot NET paint for editing like resizing images easily. It is simple to use compared to more advanced software. In this case, you will need to download the image to your computer, then open it up in the editor.

If you need to know the address/link/URL to a picture on Facebook:

    1. Open the image display in Facebook with a left click of the photo.
    2. Right-click on the image (do not click on the interface rather watch) in Firefox.
    3. On the shortcut menu, click copy the location of the image .
    4. Click on the text field where you want to paste/write the address in.
    5. Press Ctrl + V to paste the link. You can also right click on the text field and select Paste.

You can save pictures from Facebook to your computer for editing and download services as Imgur or attachments to emails from webmail. The option to do so is in one of the menus that you open when you hover your mouse over the image (they fade on the lower edge of the image).

    Edit: cleaning of text.

  • How to fix the outgoing e-mail when e-mail server address changes

I had to remove an email account that was getting too much spam and create a new. For example, deleted [email protected] and created a [email protected] called a new.

I thought I could keep the same account from Thunderbird by changing all these instances out of [email protected] to [email protected].

    I can receive emails fine.

Under the server settings, there is a parameter for the name of the server, which remains the same, and user name, which I changed it to [email protected].

Under the main parameters, at the bottom, there is a drop-down list box to select the outgoing server, and there is a list of all accounts I have. However, the one for the account, I changed still says [email protected] - host name, and no [email protected] - hostname, and I can't send through this outgoing host.

I have to delete the old account and add the new account, save my outgoing messages so that the outgoing mail server be correct?

OK, I finally found it, just above the 'Actions of account' at the bottom of the list of all accounts. I totally didn't see that entry to date. I've included an image in case someone else is so blind that I have. Thank you.

  • Failure of delivery of mail to a single address only

I use Thunderbird via my TalkTalk webmail but I always get an important address mail delivery failure. If I send the mail to the recipient using webmail at T then delivery is not a problem. The recipient (my attorney!) is to have no problem receiving mail from other sources.
Any suggestions please? I removed the element and reinstalled in my address book, but without success.

It sounds like your e-mail provider got on a blacklist of spam, and so the recipients mail server does not accept our mail from the ISP mail server.
    http://www.dnsbl.info/

Talk to your email provider. You can also follow the link in the error message for more information.
It is absolutely not a problem with Thunderbird.

  • Problems with outgoing e-mail on HP spectrum 13

My outlook on the spectrum 13 account receives emails but suddenly stopped sending them. It seems that they left the Outbox, but they are one of the recipients do not reach. This is unique to my laptop (and is not a problem of outgoing server) as the same email on my iPad account sends and receives e mail as usual.
NB - I just lost connection to my wireless printer, which may be related?
    Any help is greatly appreciated!

It was a problem with a Windows 8.1 update. All resolved now!
