The mouse pad on laptop XP always settings reset after reboot

Pad parameters (touchpad), I put the mouse on my laptop Dell running XP Home edition. When I reboot all my settings are gone, and I'm back to the default value.

I found the answer for Vista that says remove startup KHALMNPR, but I don't have anything like that in my startup.

How can I get these settings to 'paste' beyond a reboot?

Thank you

  • The calendar settings reset after reboot

    Hello

Could someone please check if you have the same problem on your phone?

Sony calendar resets the settings after reboot.

For example, if I put "week begins on ' = 'Monday' and restart the phone, this setting will return to 'Sunday' (which is the default).

I am now running Calendar 20.0.A.2.5, but I think that this bug existed before as well (even on my old V Xperia I think)

P.S. I found this subject, but I did not understand the solution correctly or it does not work for me... I tried to disable the calendar app, but it did not help somehow...

There were improvements made on this subject and if you update the 23.4.A.0.546 phone and use the latest Google Calendar app I hope not to have this problem more.

  • Parameters for the turning off the mouse pad

I have a Pavilion laptop dv7 (P/N VZ500PA #ABG) running Windows 7 and I want to use a mouse with it. I'm not entirely sure what the thing is in front of the keyboard is called (the one used when you do not have a mouse), but I want to know how to change the settings on my computer so that when I turn off the mouse pad thing, it REMAINS off the next time I turn on my computer. I know that it is possible to change the settings to do this, because it allows to do this before you change a lot of settings. It's really annoying that I have to press the button whenever I connect to Windows (if I did, then I find myself accidentally pressing the button as I type and accidentally he then clicks on things).

If anyone can help me I would be very grateful. Thanks in advance.

I contacted HP support by phone, and even if my laptop is out of warranty, they helped me!

    > Select "mouse".

    > Select device settings - Select static icon.

    > Select apply.

    > click OK.

To make default the touchpad disabled, follow old_geekster instructions to do a right click on the Synaptics pointing device icon and then uncheck "tap to click on.

  • How can I scroll through button of the mouse on my laptop, mine does not work (as was) how should I do?

So basically I got Windows Vista, in which scrolling on my laptop worked fine, but I just got Windows 7 and when I try to scroll with my mouse pad, it does not work.

I can scroll using the bar on the side, but it is more convenient for me to use the mouse pad. It's not like it's an emergency or anything, but I would like to just this feature.

I can turn on my Dell Touchpad features or by going to control panel configuration - hardware & audio - devices & Printers - mouse (or more simply by typing "Mouse" in the search box on the Start Menu and select my mouse)- then in the mouse properties, there is a tab to manage the touchpad.  If your touchpad settings are not available for change, you will need to download and install a driver for the touchpad of your laptop.  If you respond with the brand and model of the laptop I or someone else here may be able to provide more information.

  • Satellite C70D - impossible to unlock the mouse pad

    Hello

My mousepad doesn' works as it should. I tried to unlock with FN + F5, only F5, FN + F9,... but nothing helps.
All I can do is move the cursor and use the mouse pad when it keeps the left mouse button at the same time.
Someone at - it a solution?

To be honest I don't never heard such behavior touchpad.
Did you test all parameters of the touchpad?
If there is possibility to set all settings as default please do and test the functionality again.

In any case, best test material is to reinstall the operating system and check the functionality of the touchpad with "presets".

  • The mouse pads, the Satellite Pro C660, do weird things

Hi guys, I have a Satellite C660 Pro who has developed a weird problem

When the laptop has been for some time, the mouse pad will start scrolling and horizontal scrolling when I do not want to control the cursor of the mouse almost impossible until I restart, then it works very well for anywhere between 20 minutes and a few hours before it goes nuts new

I tried to update the drivers, I also tried to disable the ability of mouse pad to scroll or do anything other than to be a mouse pad, but this does not seem to have changed anything

    any ideas out there?

Have you also tried updating the BIOS?

  • Disable the mouse pad

I want to disable my mousepad on my computer dell laptop.  I can't find it anywhere... only the speed of our buttons of the mouse options.  I want to turn the mouse pad everything out, or unless you disable the option of tapping.  It drives me crazy.

It is perhaps feasible through the Fn (next to the left shift key) key in combination with one of its F - keys, see the documentation for your laptop. You could also look in Control Panel-mouse for deactivation of plays and other functions (but maybe that's where you have already looked at). Finally, you could disable the touchpad in Device Manager.

    • Click Start
    • Click on run
    • Type devmgmt.msc and press enter

To get help, if you need, let us know your Dell laptop model number.

  • How can I disable the mouse pad when you use a mouse plug-and-play?

How can I disable the mouse pad when you use a mouse plug-and-play? I tried to disable the driver, and nothing works.

    Hello

Check with support of the manufacturer system, documentation online or forums that there is probably
Shortcut keys that enable and disable the touchpad functions.

Parameters for TouchPad located in the control panel - mouse (there may be several tabs with TouchPad entered)
and some come with a utility that loads in the Notification area next to the clock in the bottom right.

    ==========================================

If necessary: (make sure that you have restarted at least once, if the above did not work)

Panel of configuration manager devices - mouse and pointing devices - Double click on the touchpad - the driver tab-
Click on update driver (it comes may not do anything like MS is far behind the drivers of certification), now right CLICK
    on the TouchPad and UNINSTALL.

Then go to the USB and UNINSTALL ALL controllers except the category itself (all in). RESET

This will refresh the driver for the TouchPad and battery USB. This does not prevent the touchpad from working.

The similar procedure on XP, Windows 7 and Vista is the same, except that we need to clear the specific device if present.
    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/310575

Then go to the system manufacturer's website and get the latest touchpad drivers.

Download - SAVE - go to where you put it-click on - RUN AS ADMIN.

    I hope this helps.

  • How to turn on the Double Tap feature on the mouse pad!

Good so I used to be able to double tap on the mouse pad, click and I accidentally turned off somehow and I can't for the life of me understand how to re-enable it. Help please!

In most cases, the controls for it are in the start menu / Control Panel / mouse.  Where varies by manufacturer (computer and mouse) so I can't help you there that you have not provided this information, and even if you don't I probably just refer to manufacturers of assistance.  But before you go watch, read the next paragraph.

But it turns out that there is another way to set this feature.  Here is the procedure:http://www.vistax64.com/tutorials/40246-single-click-option.html.  It is quite simple and does not involve all the controls of the mouse (and can be changed back as you wish).

    I hope this helps.

    Good luck!

  • Installed Windows 7-bar side on the mouse pad does not

Installed Windows 7 Pro on my S10. I noticed that the right sidebar on the mouse pad that scrolls one page up and down does not work.
Solutions or responses to get it working back?

Update Touch Pad Driver for your model. When you find the updated drivers, there is a listed for Windows 7 - download and run the exe.

  • How can I disable the Mouse / touchpad - Lenovo, laptop XP pro SP3

I want to disable the touchpad on a laptop Lenovo G530 with XP pro, SP3.
I always use a USB wireless mouse, but while I'm away from striking, the touchpad gets moved or dragged - send me to places that I don't want to be.

I tried the mouse settings in the properties panel of design, uninstall the drivers of synoptic and software Manager (they have just reinstall at startup).

I tried how hard (as usual). Please can someone tell me the simple way?  Thank you

If you have the correct driver installed, Fn + F6 must disable the touchpad.

Consider that for some reason you do not have the box 'Disable TouchPad when USB pointing device is present.' --> How to disable the Touchpad on IBM/Lenovo ThinkPad Laptops | eHow.com http://www.ehow.com/how_5647892_disable-touchpad-ibm_lenovo-thinkpad-laptop.html#ixzz2EVhswpov

  • How to disable the mouse pad scroll feature?

A crossed the features Control Panel and I am unable to turn off this feature

Most of the keys are now equipped with software designed to have the side right of the touch pad scroll top and bottom of the page and the left to zoom in and out of the page.
In most cases, if you click Start > Control Panel > mouse, there should be a tab of brand such as Dell Touchpad. In addition, you can find a touchpad icon in the taskbar (next to the clock in the lower right corner of the screen). Right click and open this icon should help you in the right direction.
The process to change these settings varies depending on the laptop and may require a phone call to the manufacturer for assistance.
    I hope this helps!

  • How can I disable the mouse pad? I prefer to use a mouse.

The cushion is a nuisance especially when I try to type, perhps I catch it with my wrists, I don't know. I prefer to use a mouse.

The 'quick and dirty' would be to cover the trackpad with something thick enough no pickup "taps" or "gestures". A card cut to tight should be thick enough, but I use a three thicknesses of sheet glued together and cut to tight in the trackpad to open (a corner cut so I can remove it when I have to use the trackpad). I did back in 2008 with an Acer laptop and now do it with my Asus EeePC 900 netbook; If I don't have the mouse with me (or the battery is dead - mouse USB wireless) I just remove the "cap" cardboard if I can use the trackpad.

In addition, check with a Windows 7 support forum to find out how to disable this "device". This isn't really a problem of Firefox support.
