Failure of Windows Media Player

A few days ago, I wanted to listen to music and my mother wanted to extract music from a CD, so I did. I checked the music as it was say what "Windows Media Player encountered a problem while playing the file. For any additional help, click Help on the Web. "The music I ripped is new and not protected or scratched.

The version of Media Player and the things I've done are:

  • Windows Version 11 Player media
  • Windows Media Player encountered a problem while playing the file. For any additional help, click Help on the Web.
  • System recovery
  • Tried to put up-to-date and by default everything to the media player
  • Tried to use Classic Player
NOTE: To confirm music still worked, I used Real Player to see that there's still a job and he did.

  • I had a virus that changed my .exe files to open in Windows Media Player.

I have Windows Vista.  I tried several ways to correct the problem without success.  I even created a file of commands from another post, and when I try to open the batch file, it appears a black screen for a millisecond and closes just as fast.  I read that some users successfully and temporarily solved the problem by putting their programs at all open them in adobe, then deleted adobe on their computer.   I don't know how to do this.  I thought of one alternative might be to uninstall Windows Media Player because it is not cited as an option.  I think it came as a microsoft bundle package when the computer was bought in a refurb from Dell.   Up to Date help much appreciated!

  • Windows Media Player 12 on Windows 7 stops working after recovery from sleep mode

I have problems to make Windows Media Player 12 to run correctly after a system sleep (standby). It works very well after the maximum boot and for as long that the machine is not going mode sleep. It is only a problem with Windows 7 and Media player 12. All other Win 7 applications seem to work correctly. The system also works very well for Vista/Media player 11.

I installed my upgrade Windows 7 Home Premium x 64 as a new installation on a separate hard drive. This problem exists right after installation - no other software not added. I then installed all the updates MS available and the problem has not disappeared. I installed the OS a couple of times (including a copy of Windows 7 Professional x 64) on another hard drive too and the problem remains.

Media Player 12 works perfectly until the system goes into sleep mode - either by itself, or manually. When it resumes, Media player launches, but when you try to play something, he will only play the first couple notes of music and then freeze. Same thing with videos - it will get the first couple of frames played, and then hang. If you continue to stop and restart Media Player, eventually it will be totally suspended and after a few minutes the error "Server execution failed" message. At that point in the Task Manager, wmplayer.exe will consume is a complete base my Quad CPU (25%), do nothing. Sometimes, you can kill the process and take control of the back of the PC. Other times it crashes completely and the only thing you can do is to shut down the PC.

Media Player 11 under Vista Home Premium x 64 on the same PC works fine. I was never able to get Media Player 12 in Windows 7 to work properly after a standby/on standby. If I reboot, everything works fine so it seems to be that something related to a problem of sleep/recovery.

HP supports suggested restarting the service WMP network sharing.  That has not helped, but if I stopped and set to manual start, Media Player would play the sound/music but not video of several tests.  But if I stopped and began to WMP 12 a few times more the problem returns.

Well after working with the help of HP for several days, it seems to be something between the video card and card mother / BIOS between them.  At start-up, everything works well, but after the exit mode ensures, hardware diagnostics show a failure of local video memory.  Media Player is finally touched by it.  Doesn't a lot of sense to me that this does not happen under Vista, Win 7.  You have to return the PC to HP for diagnosis/repair.

  • How to convert wma and wav, mp4 files and what not not mp3 with Windows media player?

    * Original title: music questions

Music has become a huge problem for me.   My car CD player only supports mp3 format.  I wish I could burn my CD from which I get used various locations, so that I can play in my car. Or convert files I have, which are not in mp3 format.  I played the same CD in my car for years.  It's a little sad.  And convert mp3 no mp3 files, so I can play them in my car, because I don't have a player other than Windows media player and speakers belong good markets.   How to convert files to wma and wav and mp4 and what not in mp3?

Music is expensive nowadays and the multiple formats and thus loss of music bought and in the cloud, or itunes 'cannot locate the source' will not play, and when devices in the event of a failure or who are upgraded drives me crazy.  I have more music in my life and I wish that we would go back to portable music as CD.

I usually use Windows Media player to RIP CD, that I find at thrift stores.   I have my brother gave me, on the PC that is in all sorts of types of music files.  I found a job online converter and it is, according to me, so thank you guys for suggesting that.  Have tried 3 different ones and finally found one that works in the last one.  I think my brain might need a bit of adjustment, of our days, (won't tell you music I have on CD, would seriously date), no kidding, but probably my PC could also use the setting.   I also have itunes for Windows, but have hardly used it.

  • My windows media player no longer sees my flash drives or portable players for synchronization.

This has never been a problem before. I tried several cards without success. other media programs see the card, but not windows media player. Computer TRhe himself sees the card as well.

Im running windows 7 and of course media player 12. Of Macedonia Ive system restore, shut down the media player and turn it back on nothing.

OK, the RCA player finally started working after that I discovered that its pilots were in need of update. But it's something, I tried on all these points, including readers of thumb without success so far for some reason any. Cela and swearing and threats of physical violence against the computer, it finally seems to work again. Since there was no clear reasoning for this failure or mysterious recovery, I'm sure hurt being here again with this same * problem.

  • Y at - it application for the use of Windows Media Player on my Macbook (El Capitan)?

What happens now is that, after you have clicked on a video, I get a screen black with yellow icon of VLC Player (VideoLAN VLC installed on my PC) in the Center and no video. I don't want to launch VLC or internal plug-ins.
